Mochizuki Touya, a 15-year-old boy, who got zapped by a flash of lightning due to a freak accident caused by God, wakes up and finds himself face-to-face with God.

“I am afraid to say that I have made a blunder…” laments the old coot. In order to smooth over the fault, God says that he can reincarnate Touya into a world of fantasy, and allow Touya to bring the smartphone! Then in a new, anachronistic pseudo-medieval world begins Touya’s adventure.

Friends! Laughs! Tears! Inexplicable Deus ex Machina! Mochizuki Touya sets off on a journey full of wonder as he absentmindedly travels from place to place, following whatever goal catches his fancy. The curtains on an epic tale of swords, sorcery, and smartphone apps lift!

Bruv, I don't enjoy reading this anymore. The MC is so sososososo dummy and extremely pushover.

The MC, Touya, has almost inexhaustible Mana reserves but he can't even bring out it's full potential. Touya also doesn't have the drive to become stronger, for example; he can't use [Search] on somewhere with simple barrier he doesn't even think of countermeasures against those. His focus are in foods, toys, games, politics and stuffs. At the beginning it was fun but as time passed by we gain more knowledge about the World and the... more>> Phrases, it becomes more apparent how dummy Touya is. After getting the library you'd think he'll keep reading books about null magics right? But no, his focus aren't there until there's only 1 day before the big fight.

I wonder how even some people proceed past volume 10. <<less

Like others have stated it’s boring generic tr*sh. While you may think it’s an overstatement it’s not.

MC: No actual personality whatsoever, Basically the MC is all the bad troupes and cliches of Beta MC’s added together into one.

Females: Bland and annoying, They say marry us and even though MC doesn’t want to he’ll say they are cute and he likes them so he marries them (No lie he says a princess is cute and he likes her even though they’ve only talked less than 5 times and it wasn’t... more>> even proper conversations)

People: Everybody seems so nice that you wonder how there is crime in the world, if there are bad guys then it’s ones so obvious that you wonder why they weren’t caught before, example: count tries to poison king and ends up getting caught by drinking for a glass and shouting he’s been poisoned himself.

This is a novel for little kids, age 12 and below given how bad guys are obviously bad for how it shows (no schemes or plots) everybody else is too nice.

World-building: None really, MC goes to a place and it’s not really explored or detailed.

Romance: Horrendous, 21 volumes out so far in English yet the max the MC has even done is kiss them and that took a lot of guts since MC gets all red and embarrassed like they never even seen a girl before. It’s mainly Japanese males fault since so many novels has MC’s act like this that makes me wonder if actual people act like that over there, given their low birth rate it seems so.

Now on to the part that made me sigh and not want to read any more, Frame Gear which is basically Mecha’s. MC said he needed it for the crystal beasts yet he’s been fighting them without it so far with little to no trouble given the Bullsh*t null spells (Gravity/Teleport/Fly, anything the Author wants it’ll be a spell later) Thing is MC decides to gift them to other countries for free, states the reason is so they can fight off the beast when they appear. Wouldn’t be so bad if it ended there but continuing from this volume on is mainly about mecha’s that makes me wonder why not make the novel In another world with my Mecha.

I could go on and on but I won’t, I just leave it there and state I wouldn’t even wipe my ass with this nor would I read it anymore even if I got paid. <<less

The writing style is something to get used to.

It feels like the author was writing on his cellphone a chapter at a time while taking the train on his way to work lol

A lot of it is your own imaginations taking part and building the pictures in your mind, however, I find it really appealing.

Story is intriguing, OP powers, Isekai, Harem and softcore echhi.

Worth the read!

Why is this not called "guy with overwhelming power who can do everything easily and has great things happen to him, oh and he has a smartphone that makes him more op."

He is OPAF, he has every magic power in the world which includes all the elements and a deus ex machina unique magic that there is literally entire books filled with, which can be used in any situation if he has not shown a skill to overcome his current situation. If you replaced the phone with the ability to... more>> auto-target all enemies in the area along with the ability to see a map you could remove the smart phone entirely from the story.

If someone makes a story like this do not make the main character OP and make use of everything a smart phone can do with a bit of a boost. Not to the extreme as Bringing The Farm To Live In Another World because that story made the main character pretty much a god overnight, also the brainwashing is just creepy. <<less

Honestly, I liked the premise. When I read the title I expected a novel where the main character uses his wits and his smartphone to solve his problems, either by Googling or using apps or whatever. What I got was a character that's ridiculously OP and a plot so badly written you could easily write away the smartphone from the story altogether. Seriously, you could easily change any moment he uses his phone with some kind of magic like many other novels with OP characters do.

The MC here is also... more>> completely lacking a personality. In some novels I can tolerate this, provided that either the plot is interesting or the side characters are written well (like in Index). This novel has neither of those things. Which is a shame, because I really liked the idea behind it. <<less

There is not much to say what wasn't already said by others.

The MC has a power that resolves every problem within half a chapter and a feeling of tension is nonexistent. I would like to say that he has a good personality, but it's more like he has no personality at all! The same goes for his harem which is just confusing and annoying. While all the girls are individually skilled, they become totally useless and make one mistake after the other the moment the MC is nearby, so that... more>> we can conveniently see his limitless abilities and "heroic" actions.

I don't blame the people who like Deus Ex Machina stories and a light read with hints of comedy, but for me a novel with a bunch of plain characters, no tension, sprinkled with unnecessary Ecchi is not enjoyable at all. <<less

Nothing much to say since next to everything about the novel has already been said.

There is no plot. Some youth gets stricken by lightning after an incident from "God" (which I find the very idea in itself to be absolutely s*upid and ludicrous). A being that you'd even give the label of God to is exactly that, a supreme being. So it's essentially inconceivable that such an event would actually happen. Did "God" just happen to feel the need to play a game that day? "How many atoms' close to... more>> a human being can I get with a lightning strike without killing them?" Or something.

It's extremely generic and stereotypical. He gets "reincarnated" with the exact same as his old appearance.

And if God giving him magical powers that are unequaled wasn't enough, the author had to throw a completely tasteless harem side-characters in there, too. The MC is a complete spineless, s*upid, unmotivated wuss that has no goal in this Isekai world when he could do any number of things.

The comedic satire that the author tries to throw into the story isn't even funny; it's just annoying.

And I could get over even the former things if there was something to differentiate this story from the others' and make it unique, but there's not.

I could go on for several more paragraphs', had I read more, but I didn't. It's not worth the waste of free time that I have. If it's one of the first Isekai novels that you've read, this is possible for you, but if not and you have any experience with this type of novel; don't.

I felt like giving this 2 star was giving it more credit than deserved. <<less

MC is bland as heck, story is bland as heck, everything in this story is super 1-dimensional. It isn't bad per se but if you expected something more than super generic isekai OP MC, better look else where.

It started good.. But it just went down hill so fast.

The story is so monotonous and the problems is solved with plot armor 'Null Magic + Infinite Mana' all the time. The political (royalty problems and nobles) are almost not that fun.

The antagonist are stereotype and just plain idiotic. I mean the enemies rarely have null magic (yes they sometimes have artifacts) but almost none of them are that hard to defeat, there is no scheming background character you have to look forward for. There is indeed a problem which... more>> are the 'crystal monsters' but seriously mindless killing monsters are not really that fun of an antagonist.

Lastly the adventurer's guild is so useless, I mean the author could have written something about someone powerful as a foreshadowing or something but there is none. All of them are weakling.

So basically this is just another overly powered main character with no suitable antagonist to possibly oppose him to make the story livelier, it would be a different matter if the antagonist introduced have brains on them. <<less

This novel is slow paced without overall much tension. It is kind of similar to Death March kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyusoukyoku in this regard, but I like this one less. The MC is immature and as you keep reading, it really becomes more and more annoying. He also has kind of wimpy character with the girls. I don't like novel where MC is just getting abused or talked to one-sidedly by the girls.
Spoiler

Marring the girls just because they told him to is also s*upid. Especially the princess who forced herself on him, then gets jealous even though he said "no" originally.

[collapse]

Overall the novel gets boring after the first 100 chapters. The more you read, the more boring it gets. See spoilers for why

Spoiler

Making establishment of a new kingdom boring must be a special gift of the author.

The reasons are 1) MC is too OP. There is never a feeling of danger or any tension. His companions are also never in danger 2) All problems are solved in a boring way. He only uses 2-3 magics, somehow he just becomes expert in martial arts even though he never trains. 3) Whatever the situation is, there is always some kind of deus ex machina ready.

[collapse]

To me this novel suffers greatly from immature MC and poorly done slice of life stuff. There is actually not much emotional connection to most characters there because there is not much time spent developing them. The action part also most of the time is very small. I don't like it when one battle stretches many chapters, but in this novel I don't think there are any battle that lasts even half a chapter. Basically sever lack of overall tension is a big minus here. One of the reasons for this lack of tension is that MC is super OP. The way it is presented in the novel, this kind of OP is also boring. His character also deteriorates as the story progresses. He becomes less and less prominent and overshadowed by his harem. There is some nice overall story here and some potential. Since there are not that many chapters yet, this novel can either improve in the future or go down the drain.

Not bad, just not my cuppa.

My brain tends to check out at about the point ... more>>
Spoiler

the MC had to start thinking seriously about marrying his harem.

[collapse]
I just don't care, and I don't have enough invested in any of the side characters as anything other than accessories.

So I scroll through the romance and read the parts where he breaks common sense or duels spirit beasts with no dignity, and I enjoy those immensely.

If you are the type to find it funny when the MC accidentally walks in on his female companions changing, then spends hours in seiza listening to a lecture, this is perfect reading. <<less

The main selling point of the novel as I see is how the MC makes everyone around him dumbfounded. Expecting what technology he'll introduces next, how he'll develop his skills, weapons etc, and how he'll handle his companions was entertaining for leisure reading. Downside, side characters are a bit 2D while he himself looks like didn't think too much and cared about his surroundings. Plot starts at 70 +chapter.

Three words to describe this novel.

Generic, Cliche and Doesn't make sense.

Don't get me wrong. I have no quarrel with generic and cliche Novels like this. But there are somethings in this novel I didn't like.

... more>> As in fact:

It has a good start, from gathering companions (harem to be exact) just like your typical generic Overpowered troupe novel.

However, after he established his so called "Brunhild Duchy" I got exasperated from its name, A duchy but governed by a king not a Duke. Brunhild is a self-governing country yet it is a duchy. It doesn't make sense at all. With regards to his harem, Yumina, Rin (Leen) and Suu, Sakura and Yae is enough. The rest of the harem is unnecessary. Their personalities overlapping to each other and better to be treated as a side characters

From magic and smartphone to Mecha and fighting phrase then variants and evil god. This is like a Darling in the franx, from Klaxosaurs to aliens. I mean, the author could stick with the idea of giving the world a life and making it interesting. The idea of Phrases, variants and evil god is good but the execution is bad, like designed to be rushed meaning, the surprise element in the story is not present. The end game of the main plot generically winning against the final last boss (mutated for the sake of plot. Welp the main reason was because the God of love and sword half-assed pursuing the rouge subordinate god to the point they intended that to happen)

No impediments from his perfect Kingdom building plus a perfect relationships with majority of the kings and leaders of the other country without anyyyy motiveee. What do you expect to Buttlicker countries only having in mind of wanting to worship the MC. The illustration is good, especially the Mecha. However, the Mecha introduction destroyed the magic and smartphone (Artifact) element of the novel. The author could instead stick to expanding the Magic and make it complex since that's how it was introduced to us in the first place. But yeah, that's not how it ended for this WN, hence a 2 star. But personally I would like to give this a 3.

It's not that bad, besides If you like not to think, then this one is for you. <<less

To be honest, this is quite mediocre at best. It started out as a fantasy changed into mecha in the middle and ended up as slice of life. The action arcs hold no weight since there is no feeling of tension or such due to how op Touya is. In fact, the slice of life elements is more prominent to the story than the action is.

I stayed with this for over four years now just to read the wedding arc and now that it is finished, I myself am dropping... more>> it. If you like something that is light and can help pass time, feel free to read this. <<less

For peoples who like this LN/WN, you need helps, go to counseling or talk to psychologist.

This novel is far more ridiculous than other novels where the main character "seems" to be a genius.

MC : dense and mediocre at best.

heroines/harem girls : npc.

Support characters : watered down version of npc.

Plot : either too thick (bc of mc) or doesnt exist at all.

Its horrible, everything is just... bad. Can't believe this got an anime and I can't even proceed to the next episode without cringing. You might as well take a nap instead of reading this garbage.

Plot: it's sht, MC is just a walking deus ex machina and everything is convenient for him.

Characters: teletubbies have better characters

World building: sum generic stuff about medieval period.

All people are s*upid except for the MC and his harem.

My all time favorite novel and anime. I love the story and have read it since day 1 of the translations. I know it's a usual isekai with an OP MC but I love it. Rin is also my waifu. It does get a bit monotonous around chapter 298 but if you stock pile the chapters and read 3-4 at a time it's great.

This is just my personal opinion, but this story is just garbage, and that's coming from someone who is new to this whole web novel/light novel stuff. It’s not bad but, interspersed through the action... there is a chapter devoted to making a toilet, to soy sauce to wedding rings, to making magic heated floors for winter, to making a magic fan for summer, to making a piano and teaching a girl jingle bells. These things are nearly half the story. I remember reading comments about Death March being a cooking novel, and it’s almost as bad. It's readable.. The idea is already mainstream.. MC is reincarnated to another world.. Got overpowered.. Got a lot of harem.. Although most of them are lolis, which I really despise..I can understand men's dream of having harwm with a matured MILF.. But lolis? That's pedo ya'know.. Can't really understand typical Jap otakus thinking.. And what REALLY annoyed me is, MC are soooo overestimated himself for being hot stuff.. Like MC felt disgusted by being kissed by those Babylon managers to form a contract with a new master.. What's wrong with... more>> that? Is it horrible to being kissed by another gender? And MC being a wuss when he's being reprimanded by his harem when he can almost destroy a country jus by himself.. Yea sure.. It's a comedy scene.. But it got really bored when the scene is always being reuse everytime there's a new female character come into view.. It's a readable series, but not my main cup of tea.. <<less
