In the shade of the dark forest, a beautiful oriental maiden with a troubled expression sighs to herself.

“Why did I forget…? No, I guess I wanted to forget. He’s finally here; that harem eroge protagonist…”

Saitou Chie has a childhood friend that has always been the stereotypical manga protagonist. Because of that, she is constantly annoyed by his “fan club.” She isn’t even surprised when he is summoned to a fantasy world and wishes him luck when he suddenly grabs her yelling “Then you come too!!” and pulls her in with him. Now her body has been destroyed because it wasn’t meant to go through the summoning and a God is saying “I will give you a new body…”

the MC is dragged by her childhood "dense" friend when he was summoned by summoning circle. She got a pity from the goddess over there and gave her some cheats to survive in the other world. She hid her identity and tried to survive in the other world. The story is pretty interesting, the MC can be dense sometimes, and she sometimes forces her way through fights, though she can be reasonable. Sometimes, the pov is changed from her to people who know her so it makes the story a... more>> bit interesting. The action scenes are pretty good. Recommended if you are looking for female protagonist who are not summoned as a hero. <<less

I thought that the premise was interesting: a here is summoned but there is already better that him so he is not really needed. But for the moment it hasn´t reached this point. And I don´t know if it will happen.

Until then it´s just the story of a clever MC in another world. There is no difference if she is the hero or not. I think her interactions with her childhood friend would be very interesting with various possibilities: a comedy route, the hero is useless compared to her, everybody... more>> falls for the hero´s charm (to her dispair). Until then it´s pretty generic=plain and there are better ones. <<less

Things I like about the series:

The concept for this story is pretty interesting. It takes all of the standard harem building hero tropes, and stuffs them into the childhood friend of the (female) MC. If you’ve ever thought “Riajuu, you should just explode!” at a dense hero MC summoned into a different world, I believe you will empathize with the MC of this story.

Of course, she does have the MC aura of charisma going for her, so if things keep on, we may end up thinking the same about her... more>> as well.

Still, I am enjoying this series, since even if some of the situations are fairly stock fantasy, the fact that the MC thinks of herself as a side character puts a different spin on things. I look forward to seeing where this series is going, especially once the lead inevitably meets up with her childhood friend again.

Things I don’t like about this series:

I feel the author hasn’t properly followed up on a few items. For example, the MC significantly empathizes with one of the characters she meets early in the series. Through her words, she is able to significantly help that individual by causing others to understand that individual’s actions (being vague here to avoid spoilers). While this interaction has helped her integrate into the world and find a career, there has been no further interaction with the person she helped. This is the case even though there should have been plenty of opportunity. I really do feel that this was an interesting relationship that was left to wither unnecessarily.

Overall Evaluation:

A solid take on the hero summoning series, with significant later potential. I would read this if you are interested in reading a good story surrounding a MC summoned into a different world, or a story with a strong female lead. <<less

this Story is quite interesting if I have to say, even though it still hasn't caught up with the prologue~. I also think the way the Protagonist acts is quite nice and I like this Change of pace to a tomboyish Protagonist. My Problems with this Story would be the 'Hero' himself. Seriously there are a lot of dense hero Stories but seeing how far the Hero is actually troubling the Protagonist even going as far as killing her off, makes me just go 'ugh', hoping that this Story would... more>> not become something cliched and the Hero acting all innocently saying something like 'I didn't want to be seperated with you' when they meet again... <<less

It was cute, I liked it in the moment, but I don't think I'd ever look at it again... Even now, it's only a few months after I read it, and I barely can remember the plot at all. I did like the beginning a lot (probably why I decided to finish it), but the ending felt unsatisfying.

I really like this series. I a bit upset that it went on hiatus, but the translator picked a good stopping point compared to the author's cut-off partway through a new arc.

Fair warning, because of the hiatus, the Hero never makes an appearance with the Black Knight. We don't get to meet the Demon King, and there are a couple of antagonists that are introduced without going anywhere.

The reason I gave it five stars is just because of the fun I had reading it, not a technical analysis of the... more>> content or translation. YMMV <<less

Definitely looking forward to reading more of this.

Grammar: 3.9/5

Writing: 3.5/5

... more>> Story: 3.9/5

The grammar is great once Xant and his crew take over. Oniichanyamate does a great job too, just got to power read through a few of the Lazy9 translations which are decent (I recommend not reading from -Sloth- as they admit they are neither a native English nor Japanese speaker, though I do thank them for having done the translation in English at all. Translation is tough work, making the translation readable is even more-so).

The writing is good, but not amazing. Transitions could be done better, more exposition could be given at some parts, but it was explained well enough to get the gist of what is going on in cases where it's sparse. Word flow is fairly good aside from transitions. Everything links together nice and cleanly while making you wonder what's going to happen next. My only problem is that the scenarios are too clean.

The story itself is kinda-meh-kinda-good. I like how the author and translator present the story, but it could have been done better by giving us a bit more in-depth looks at all of the characters, including the main character. World building is happening gradually, though with very sparse details. It's enough to get a picture going, but not enough for that picture to be anything but blurry (still better than a lot of other works that are just segmented doodles of landscape where things take place).

It's a small twist on your standard reincarnation story. It's not the Handsome Harem hero, but his friend who was constantly bothered by him who you get to follow along with. Still looking forward to seeing the MC and friend reunite. <<less

Ngl feels like the author's self-insert fantasy, just as ridiculous and embarrassing and esteem-flattering as a teenage dream would be whilst trying to come off as realistic and logical.

I really enjoy reading this novel. It’s funny, sarcastic, and very much entertaining! Sad that the few first chapters are gone now since the website got deleted and I won’t know what happened during that time. (Which is important since a lot happened during those 3 chapters from what I can tell from chapter 5) I wish they would re-pick this up since it’s a real funny novel but idk if the translators would actually listen since they can do what they want lol ANYWAYS funny entertaining novel I recommend... more>> 👌🏻 <<less

I like this novel, I really do and I hope someone could pick it up again.

I don't ship Chi (was it?) with the hero and I'm already in the ship of of Chi X Conrad.

I don't have much to say since I'm not good at telling what I'm feeling, so I can only say, go read it, it great! I hope, hope, hope, hope someone could pick this novel and translated it!

Yoooooo I used to save this page in my browser bookmarks, and then I lost that, so I had to search for this again. But now that I've found it again, I see that there haven't been updates in forever!! T-T

I like the OP MC, even though she can be a little too OP, haha, but...

I just wanna know who the ML and Second ML are supposed to be!! Every time I find this page again, I read the latest un-updated chapter, and then read the prologue again to remember... more>> what I hope for. The prologue better be the in medias res, not the conclusion, cuz I wanna see how his whole destiny thing plays out with our golden-finger MC trolling around~

idk, I just want more action! Yeah!

This is kinda along the lines of gender-benders like "Release That Man!" where the romance is a bit ambiguous but still has hopes for a solid future. <<less
