A young man who struggled with all his might, but instead was crushed by the limits of his own talent finally gave up on becoming a top ranked person and lost his life dramatically.

This man was born into a different world called Riiguyuuru (リーグユール) that has concepts such as magic, skills and levels as Rarukusu Kuraibaado (ラルクス・クライバード) / Larks Crybird with the memories of his previous life. He was born with a unique skill that allows him to possess any skills in existence by putting in effort. Rarukusu once again started to live there, while aiming to be the strongest.

However in this world, there are countless monsters that can not be beaten by merely relying on swordsmanship or magic. Currently monsters are quite aggressive and humanity is slowly declining. In such a world how will Rarukusu / L’arc , who keeps aiming to be the strongest while faltering from time to time, end up?

And serial killer truck claims another victim! Standard MC dies then reincarnates in another world, given cheat skills and everything is conveniently served on a platter. Up to now, nothing original.

Read up to chapter 8. Almost no originality besides a bit on the settings of jobs. Further reading may change my opinion about the originality and content of this though.

Dark but fun. It is a Japanese reincarnation LN, with the usual tropes, but of a more humanistic, darker nature than most lighthearted reincarnation novels. Worth the read, and I really hope the new translator keeps going - I missed it, it's a compelling story.

So far I like this novel and I give it a 4/5

The main characters strength in this novel isn't really specified I don't know if he is weak or strong so that irritates me. I naturally dislike tragic stuff so yeah and cliche of demon race = evil guys, but as long at NTR isn't in the novel ill read it but if I see a speck of that im leaving.

The first part of the story is a complete rip-off of Mushoku Tensei. MC dies hit by a truck, reincarnated as a baby, starts training to increase magic power, lerns magic at really young age, son of famous ex-adventurers on a small village with a maid, finds a half-elf girl around the age of MC, MC teaches her magic. You only have to replace training under a magic tutor to taking care of muscle-brain older brother and both series are identical, but with this one being far inferior in terms... more>> of character development (which is basically null here). After that part is over, the series looks for its identity by trying to be darker than your average, and the mystery of the devil and the MC's darkness actually seemed somewhat interesting, but since the author deleted the series, we'll never know how those are resolved. <<less

So far, a really generic reincarnation story, that is neither good nor bad but with good potential.

The MC is reasonable and not overpowered until the point I read. The People around him are well characterized and their relationship goes beyond "we are family and therefore we like each other".

Despite the average writing style and the seemingly slow pacing of the story, there were a few unexpected tragic moments that make one care for the emotional state of the characters and wish to see how they are going to deal with... more>> it in the future.

Sure, there are many reincarnated into another world novels much better than this one, but it's still an interesting read and worth trying. <<less

Made it to chapter 21, which wasn't bad considering I wanted to stop reading a few times throughout. How do I say this? It's not bad, but it's not good either. There's nothing even remotely distinctive about the story since it's written as basically any cookie cutter reincarnation novel. Even now, I can only remember the title as "___ Tensei". It's just a bit sad since there are a couple things I haven't run into before that could have made this novel stick out more. Case in point: the MC... more>> having an older brother 4 years apart. It would have been nice if the author expounded on their relationship a bit, or maybe brought him in as a primary character/secondary MC but nope. Older brother stays a mob and the author brings in (surprise surprise) an elf girl! I just don't have the patience right now for something that's not good enough for me to want to keep going, but not bad enough for me to put it down in a fit of rage/frustration/resignation. I'd normally rate a 3 for something so bland as this, but I dropped it to 2 seeing as the author dropped the ball on using the older brother as something more than page filler, thus making this the most generic of generic. <<less

Generic story of reincarnation with amazing powers. Nothing good, nothing bad and most certainly nothing interesting to read here. (Read up to ch 23)
