“Can’t I properly read stallion novels anymore!”

Shen Yuan transmigrated into someone who’d tormented the young male lead almost to death, the scum villain Shen Qingqiu.

It must be known, the original Shen Qingqiu ended up being carved alive by his disciple, Luo Binghe, into a human stick, a human stick!

Ten thousand “f*ck your moms” rampaged through Shen Qingqiu’s heart:

“It’s not that I don’t want to cling to the male lead’s thighs, but who made him so f*cking black. The type who seeks thousand-fold retribution!”

Why have all the female lead’s scenes been forcibly given to him.

Why, as a scum villain, does he need to constantly sacrifice himself, blocking knife and gun for the protagonist!

Shen Qingqiu: “…I think I can still save him, one more time.”

I MTLed this LOOOOONG ago i noticed I didn't leave a review haha and yet I still read the translated one's.... Usually I don't read the TLs anymore, but I just really LOVE this one. MC just tries his best not to be a human stick, only to get a sticky disciple. LOL

Lucky the author never gave us any bad endings for main pairing. This is my first transmigration novel that I read, what makes me happy is it's very rare for find some stories with Teacher-Student as main pairing.

You will LOVE the main character, he adapts fast, has humor and keeps his composure when needed. The plot so far doesnt go around in circles and its a nice read. The translations are very well done and the footnotes help understand better what a particular phrase means for us who arent used to them.

Knowing what he must do in the future, Shen Qingqiu will still try to give the poor child ML a good future... Even if he must harm him greatly for it. Qingqiu says its for the... more>> sake of his future, but he cant stop himself from seeing Binghe and the others as real as himself, its not a book but a real world he is living in, so the decisions he takes are not rushed or half hearted. A very good read im willing to follow to the end.

A novel from the same autor is Mo Dao Zu Shi (Founder of Diabolism). Highly recommended if you want a more dramatic and darker themed BL set in a xianxia world. <<less

I'm not very a "HARDCORE-WHY THEY AREN'T TOGETHER YET-DAMN I WANT THEM TO CUDDLE!!1!!!!1!!11-" type of fan of yaoi novels.

It's not that I don't like them, it's more like I find them.. A little cringy? Sometimes? Ok most of the times.
Ok I'm a low-key fujoshi so I'm okay with BL things. Like they are even cuter and more fluffy than straight couple?!

If I were a guy.

Back to the novel! This novel! This adorable novel! Was. So. Damn. Cute.

My soul was crying tears of rainbows when I was reading and my mind was full-AWWWWWWWWWWWW-mode.

I think the Luo Binghe's emotional progress is not relatable.
Spoiler

Why would he completely forget the bullying his original shizun gave him and love Shen Qingqiu completely like that?

Why has he never recalled that Shen Qingqiu once asked him if he's willing to endure physical & emotional hardship to get stronger? He only remembered how his shizun's words after that were contradicting.

Why after Shen Qingqiu gave him the fake jade pendant, he accepted without doubt why his shizun took it all along with him and not immediately returned to him when it's what he held dearest?

I'm actually feeling a bit unsatisfied after finishing this novel. Having previously read other MXTX novels I never imagined that this one would be so underwhelming. The general idea of the story was interesting. The MC has a good personality and his situation makes things entertaining but as the story progressed I never really felt a true connection between the MC & ml.... more>>
Spoiler

Even at the end of the main story I wasn't convinced that they shared mutual love. The ML was obsessed with the MC and the MC felt pity and fondness towards the ML but there was no romantic development. Even the one and only s*x scene didn't even feel right.

This is definitely not the worst story out there so I would still recommend reading it if you find it interesting. You may enjoy it more than I did. <<less

An utterly brilliant, but sadly under-appreciated and misunderstood novel.

The MC, Shen Yuan, is an ordinary nerd who hate-reads a popular stallion online novel Proud Immortal Demon Way, and gets a little bit too obsessed with hating on it, only to die and transmigrate into the novel's world as its 'scum villain' Shen Qingqiu. Now his mission is to fix the plot, but unfortunately, he's constrained by the System which sets the rules for what he can and cannot do. For instance, he can't act too OOC until he completes the... more>> first 'quest' and cannot change certain plot points.

Despite the simplistic plot, this novel requires a lot of reading comprehension. Of all the characters in the novels I've read, Shen Yuan/Shen Qingqiu is the biggest pro at lying to himself. A lot of readers seem to take everything he thinks at face value, which is a huge mistake! The evidence that he will deny his true feelings till the very end is scattered all over the text. Take his attitude towards PIDW, for instance. He claims to hate this novel to bits, but does he really hate it deep in his heart? The answer is no! He was very fond of its certain aspects and loved the main hero Luo Binghe, but felt frustrated when the author's writing quality got worse and worse and the novel didn't live up to its initial potential (because Airplane Shooting towards the Sky is actually a good writer!).

Shen Qingqiu's feelings towards Luo Binghe are my favorite part of the novel. I'm surprised so many people write that he doesn't actually love Luo Binghe and stays with him out of pity and guilt. This cannot be further from the truth! Remember, Shen Qingqiu is an unreliable narrator, so we are meant to look at his actions instead of his words. And it's easy to tell that he's fond of Luo Binghe from the very start, after all he's the main reason Shen Yuan finished PIDW despite his frustration with the declining plot. However, at the beginning of the novel Luo Binghe is just a character to him, and he's too focused on not repeating the original Shen Qingqiu's fate, so he makes a few grave mistakes in the process, which end up resulting in misunderstandings between him and Luo Binghe that get cleared up only at the very end of the story. I think MXTX has done a great job showing Shen Qingqiu's process of viewing Luo Binghe as a real human being, empathizing with him, and really understanding him and his actions.

I love their relationship because, despite their flaws (and they're very flawed, let's be honest), they complement each other well. Shen Qingqiu is very tender towards Luo Binghe, he loves to take care of him and loves to be doted on in return. In fact, he's okay with Luo Binghe's possessive tendencies and loves his crybaby behavior, but isn't afraid to set firm boundaries when needed. Due to Shen Qingqiu's tsundere personality, it might seem like Luo Binghe uses crying to manipulate him and coerce him into doing what he wants, but in fact, Shen Qingqiu simply loves this kind of pathetic act and encourages it. It's very obvious he's the type of cool guy who's afraid of seeming too soft, despite actually secretly wanting Luo Binghe to be clingy with him.

Spoiler

I love the wedding extra which highlights this the best. When Shen Qingqiu saw that Luo Binghe was genuinely upset at the thought that he might not want to get married, he immediately set the record straight. That's character growth right here, I'm proud of you Shen Qingqiu!

[collapse]

Even though Luo Binghe is viewed as a yandere, I disagree that he's one. His yandere behavior is exaggerated because of two factors: the cursed sword and the feeling of betrayal towards Shen Qingqiu. When their misunderstandings get resolved, he transforms into his true form of an adorable human puppy with a 'fragile maiden's heart'. I love yandere characters (even though I don't view Luo Binghe as a true yandere) and love it when characters take care of their love interests and dote on them, so their dynamic is right up my alley and makes them one of my favorite fictional couples of all time!

MXTX is very talented at creating deep and interesting side characters despite them not having a lot of screen time, and SVSSS is no exception. I loved the original Shen Qingqiu's tragic backstory which humanized him a lot, while still making it clear he was not a good person. Frankly, the whole cast is amazing and adds a lot to the story.

Because Shen Yuan is a huge nerd, SVSSS is full of meta humour and references to internet culture. The way harem novel tropes are subverted and made fun of was simply delightful. The obvious 'plot twist' that PIDW works better as a danmei novel was hilarious and relatable if you're a fujoshi like me who's read a lot of shounen mangas with deep friendships between male characters who end up in a relationship with underdeveloped female characters.

SVSSS is not a novel for everyone, but if you're fond of internet humor, trope subversion, and "show not tell" narration, please give it a try! <<less

Out of all the MXTX novel. This one's my favourite. It's funny, the MC is so funny. Like you get to see how much of a mess and cringing Shen Yuan is in his mind. I like the protagonist. I don't really mind that there's not much on bingqiu's relationship. I feel like it's forced anyways and feels like for comedy sake. I just like the comedy and the protagonist.

It's funny how people think that MC is straight and doesnt love ml. At the very first few chapters, the way MC talked about the ML is basically saying "he's my favourite character" aka "he's my type". The only thing that prevent him from loving the ML is the fact that he couldnt accept that the ML is not just a character.

The unreliable narator is one thing that makes me love this story (despite it being his flaw). If you remove the narator and think about it, this is quite... more>> a tragic story.
Spoiler

The whole backstory, the fact that the airplane author cant write a story he likes and being forced into writing 1-dimensional trendy characters, and the whole timeskip angst.

The story sounds pretty comedic and when I first start reading it as a stress-relieved story, but later on the more I re-read the story, the more things that I picked up. That's what I like about unreliable narrator: you cant even trust it to be the mc's real emotion, you have to figure it out yourself what the MC actually feels and what actually is the tone of the story. <<less

This is honestly my fave out of the 3 popular MXTX novels, please don't hit me!

This story is funny, sometimes silly, sometimes tense. Overall a great story and well-written, with great characters all around.

SY character is very interesting, his inner monologues and the SQQ façade is a hilarious combination. LBH, the poor overgrown puppy, he just wants to be loved 😣

I also feel the world building is not too difficult to digest; pretty typical xian xia setting, not too heavy on lore, fighting, and God forbid, politics.

I didn't finish the novel because I was so intensely uncomfortable with how the ML and MC's relationship developed. I thought this novel was a grim satire making fun of tr*shy romance tropes, so I tried to ignore my negative feelings on master/disciple pairings. At some point, it evolved into a full on psychological horror. I love horror webnovels; I'll read them right before bed, close my eyes, and sleep perfectly fine.
But, I had to stop reading this novel. I think authors can write good stories with characters who... more>> are awful, terrible people. That said, it was too uncomfortable to read about how the ML made the MC act like a wounded, cornered animal over and over again, especially with the s*xual aspect of the ML. If they didn't actually become a couple, I would've been able to continue.

I love the universe that the author created and how the fans interact with it, but I don't like the actual canonical story. I have a lot of affection and interest in the supporting cast, which only makes me more bitter about the ML. In a better world, Luo Binghe became an ascetic, bald-headed monk, and SVSSS was a found family novel.
Honestly though, this novel hit me hard enough that I'm reluctant to finish any of this author's other highly praised novels. <<less

SVSSS was the second danmei I have ever read, evidently right after reading MDZS, and at that time I truly was in love with the novel. Unfortunately I cannot share the same sentiment now despite still holding quite fond feelings towards the story and its characters. This novel is objectively not very good and a lot of it is due to the romance between Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe, which ironically should have been the main selling point of the story.

The idea behind the novel was nothing new or original,... more>> but I am a sucker for good old villain transmigration story. And indeed, the story was truly quite interesting at keeping its readers excited and antsy during the arcs, with both genuinely good humour and relatively good world building; and if it was a traditional xianxia novel, I would not have any complaints towards the story whatsoever. The issue is however with the fact that SVSSS is above anything else a romance novel with reader's expectations of having the romance akin Erha's, when in fact the romance in the said plot was equivalent to what you would have seen in the yaoi manga produced in the late 90s and early 2000s.

The relationships between SQQ and LBH can be described as anything but romantic, with the ending leaving nothing but emptiness and bitterns, as well as pity towards SQQ. There were little to no hints regarding SQQ having feelings even remotely close to romantic towards LBH, and their eventual coupling up felt more like SQQ giving into Binghe's antics if anything. It wasn't funny nor certainly was it sweet. Especially the depictions of s*x which were used for the comedic purposes, were anything but fun, since to me personally it was hard to enjoy someone being physically inflicted with pain every time they have an interc**rse (and being explicitly told that SQQ was not enjoying himself) ; paired with LBH's disregard to SQQ's pain being portrayed as some sort of clumsiness and a running gag the readers were supposed to find cute. Once again, it was not.

Interestingly enough, it seems as if anyone who has ever read this novel perceives it as something it clearly wasn't, and I am afraid I was one of those people until I've reread SVSSS. It's almost as if everyone is under impression that the romance is about two silly people who are so desperately in love with each but cannot express their feelings towards each other due to both misunderstandings and obstacles on their way; with LBH being portrayed as this little innocent puppy who is smitten with his shizun, and SQQ being cold on the outside yet passionate on the inside due to constrains of the system. And while there is some degree of truth to it, it's not nearly as well executed or as sweet as everyone likes to believe it is.

Perhaps I am being too critical of SVSSS as it was MXTX's first work, nor should I place it into the same expectations I had for MDZS and HOB; but even as a stand alone novel it's not very good. The potential for this novel was so fantastic, yet it was unnecessarily wasted for what seems to be a poor attempt at a parody, if that's what it was even meant to be. It is pretty ironic that fanfiction writers for SVSSS do a far better job of conveying both romance and the comedy, but I digress. It is also equally sad that it is clear that MXTX knew how to write a good romance even during their first novel, since Liu Qingge's unrequited feelings were both so beautifully yet also so evidently portrayed without author having to say so out loud as narration was doing it for them.

By no means it is the worst novel that I have read, and if the romance aspect of this story wasn't so aggressively shovelled down my throat to the point of choking, I would've enjoyed the narration more than I did. On the positive note, this novel creates a fantastic ground for the fan-made content, which then can also be deceptive for the new readers expecting the novel being what it not actually is.

The fandom interpretation of this novel gives it more justice than whatever MXTX did narration wise, which is both the strongest and yet the weakest aspect of this work. <<less

Good novel in every aspect apart from its romance.

First of all, the good parts: the world building was solid, the side characters were intriguing. I personally LOVED liu qing ge's personality, he felt so well developed for a supporting character.

however, there are a couple of shortcomings, as some people have already mentioned in their own reviews. The most prominent one I've had problems with is the main couple, shen qingqiu's dynamic with Luo binghe. Luo binghe is quite literally... insane. He's not a good love interest in any way shape... more>> or form. He's a self destructive yandere who will mentally break down when SQQ shows him any sign of rejection. and he doesn't even get better. At the end of the novel, he still shows the SAME problems with his abandonment issues. Shen qingqiu X luo Binghe is not a dynamic built on love, more like mental illness, dependency, and responsibility.

another thing is the smut.
Spoiler

The first smut scene was so painfully written, and really just adds to the unhealthy relationship between LBH and SQQ. Why bother adding a blood sweat tears s*x scene that will make all your readers cringe? And every other smut scene after that is just... *facepalms*. SQQ's poor ass. I feel so bad for him.

[collapse]

in conclusion, Scum villain is a good novel, just not a good romance novel. <<less

Pros: I liked the MC Shen Qingqui (SQQ). The self-aware commentary he gives about the extremely common tropes found in this novel is pretty golden imo. The humor in this book made me laugh out loud which is rare for books to do for me. Additionally, I liked SQQ enough to be invested in seeing what would happen to him despite the issues I had with this novel. I really enjoyed some of the side characters, to the point that I ship one of them with the MC more than... more>> the ML because they genuinely have a better dynamic.

Cons: Although I do like SQQ, he went from able to hold his own in the beginning of the novel to being weak and controlled by the ML, which was frustrating. I just prefer my MCs to not be 'damsels in distress'.

I didn't like the ML, Luo Binghe (LBH). At. All. I hoped him and his relationship with the MC would improve but it never did enough for me to find the ending satisfying. SQQ never seems to like LBH, and LBH's "love" for SQQ is obsession with no substance. Not a dynamic I'm a fan of. SQQ appears to feel like more of a babysitter for LBH than anything. Again, I found myself wanting SQQ to end up with someone else.

Additionally, despite what another reviewer states, there is a scene in this novel in which LBH r*pes SQQ. It's fairly graphic and very disturbing. I ended up having to skip over it. The scenes in the extras are better but still some dubcon there.

Overall, if you're a fan of MXTX it's worth giving this novel a shot. There are parts of this novel to enjoy, it had funny moments and some likeable side characters. Don't go into it expecting anything similar to her other novels. The vibe of this one is very different and much more lighthearted overall. It's also her first novel so keep that in mind. <<less

3.0/5.0 Stars

Oh, this novel... This was the first of MXTX's works which I finished and it's the one I think about the most. I constantly look back and laugh at Shen Qingqiu's internal commentary within Proud Immortal Demon's Way. I love Luo Binghe's character and his transformation from White Lotus to Black Lotus. The extras give so much insight into several side-characters and make me love them so much more. But ultimately, this book has flaws. A LOT of flaws. I cannot for the life of me give this novel... more>> higher than 3 stars. So, I'm going to write a review to try to wrap my head around my thoughts on this novel. If you're just perusing reviews, I would recommend this novel but don't expect it to be a masterpiece. It is far from it.

To start things off, I want to talk about the two protagonists--Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe. Out of all of MXTX's works, I have to say these two are my favorite duo. Listening to Shen Qingqiu's snarky commentary on the creatures/characters of PIDW makes seeing those pieces of knowledge either coming to fruition in the world or utterly dissipate like the Three Nun's story significance extremely funny and entertaining. His kindness and thoughtfulness in treating Luo Binghe throughout the beginning and end of the novel is genuinely heartwarming to read. I really love how doting Shen Qingqiu is with White Lotus Binghe. Their relationship in the first part of the novel is a joy to read.

Just like his Shizun, Luo Binghe is also a phenomenal character. Yes, he always stays the dumb puppy who loves his Shizun. But even with that character trait shining through the entire novel, Luo Binghe has a lot of internal strife. He is extremely self-conscious of himself and displays acts of self-harm on the regular throughout the later acts of the novel. He is resentful of Shen Qingqiu and feels abandoned and betrayed by him (extremely warranted). His abrasive and out-of-line actions are also called out by other members of the cast. Out of all of MXTX's ML interests, Luo Binghe is definitely my favorite. Unlike Hua Cheng and Lan Wangji, he has a lot of character flaws which affect both himself and the characters around him.

I love the protagonists so much, but there are also notable side-characters I want to briefly mention. Liu Qingge is always a delight to have in scenes and his interactions with Luo Binghe are hilarious.

Spoiler

*cough* Also his extra with the succubus made me a LiuShen shipper and I love him so much *cough*

[collapse]

Shang Qinghua is the best hamster boy. His extras with a certain demon are a treat to read.

But besides those characters, the rest of the cast fall extremely flat. I want to continue talking about the characters like our favorite Uber driver and the hamster hiding behind his King. But alas, it's time for the bad bits of this novel. Buckle up kids, were getting thrown head-first into the Endless Abyss.

One of the biggest faults with this story (which I saw other reviewers discuss in their own reviews) is the toxicity of Luo Binghe and Shen Qingqiu's romantic relationship. Binghe is mentally unstable and shouldn't be in a committed relationship with anyone--period. Their relationship is far from romantic. Shen Qingqiu must endure so much in this novel for Black Lotus Binghe.

Spoiler

First off, Luo Binghe assaults him when they first reunite and forces him to drink his demon blood. Very romantic. Second, Binghe is very possessive of Shen Qingqiu. His anger at Liu Qingge taking back his corpse is one example of this. Thirdly, he is very needy and cries to Shen Qingqiu to get his way. This may seem somewhat cute at first, but it's ultimately not healthy.

[collapse]

And I'm normally okay with novels portraying unhealthy relationships (2HA is a great example with a certain dog emperor and cat). But this novel tries to dismiss the toxicity of Bingqiu and gives them a happy ending together. I do believe Bingqiu could have worked if Luo Binghe worked on himself throughout the novel and respected his Shizun more as an individual. Instead, whilst the novel does address his mental strife, it's never properly resolved and instead forcibly matches the two together as if that resolves everything.

Besides the toxicity of Bingqiu, I want to address some other problems this novel has. Notably, many of its side-characters are one-dimensional or receive very little attention. Nin Ying Ying and Ming Fan are two examples of characters who appear in-and-out of the novel and never receive too much attention. Which is depressing since Nin Ying Ying changed quite a lot throughout the novel and I would have loved to see her more in the novel. This also rings true for characters like Yue Qingyuan and Gongyi Xiao.

Spoiler

The plot-twist of his connection with Shen Jiu was interesting, but didn't elicit any emotions in me. Honestly, I didn't care much about Yue Qingyuan since he was never properly characterized. And my poor boy Gongyi Xiao was just killed off-screen.

[collapse]

Another complaint I have which spoils the end of the novel.

Spoiler

The whole end papapa scene is essentially r*pe. Not cool. It left a sour-taste in my mouth to end the novel with non-consensual s*x between the main pair. Yes, I acknowledge Luo Binghe was out-of-control and wouldn't have done it if he were fully conscious, but seeing the two get together after that occurring is... not great.

[collapse]

I also wish this novel was longer. The novel itself doesn't have any apparent pacing issues. However, I still wish more things were explored in the novel. There should've been more time given to fleshing out characters. I know that the extras do this with several members of the cast, but it isn't enough. I also feel if the novel was longer it could've given Luo Binghe more time to heal from his mental scars.

To conclude this already long review, the System deducts 2 Stars from Scum Villain Self-Saving System. I want to recommend this novel. It has some incredible characters, but they're mixed in with an underwhelming cast. Its story had a lot of potential, but it ultimately falls flat on its face. The beginning of the novel is satisfying to read, but the final arc ends the story unceremoniously.

Spoiler

The whole arc dealing with Tianlang-Jun feels forced. I do like his character, but his arc concluding the story is underwhelming.

[collapse]

If you dive into stories for the characters, this novel will serve you an incredible entree with bland side-dishes. If you're fine with eating part of a good meal, then I'd say give this book a read. Otherwise, just stick with the animation for Wu Lei's incredible voice-work as Shen Qingqiu. <<less

I gave it 3 stars because at first, I really enjoy it but then it went downhill and I can't motivate myself from finishing it because of how it fell afterward.

This author, I respect her because I did enjoy one of her books, and affected me because it shows me what really good bl books can give you. But I guess this is her first book, so her inexperience in writing is understandable as it really shows midway through this book.

Basically, sorry for the spoiler but, after MC died and... more>> came back with a new body, meeting ML, then ML learned he's alive. Started harassing the sect then kidnapping MC, some fight with ML father, so on and so forth then MC dying multiple time, don't know how many times already but then ML almost went mad then MC and ML have s*x to save the ML, which is, by the way, is too painful and really made me uncomfortable, and by the end of the novel, MC was cut off from his friends while living with ML in his realm. The end.

Not really good but not the worse. Only the beginning is satisfying and fun to read.

This type of ML and MC relationship could have been handle better. If only the author has been more experience, this would have come out with a more satisfying ending.

But since it came out this way, we just have to compromise and accept it. We just wish and wait for a fanfiction to be written to have the MC and ML have a good ending.

But, yeah, some people might like how it ends but it ended a bit sad for me because I could have wished the ML to have some real friends and mentors to talk to and have a circle of companions where he could enjoy himself without the MC from time to time and MC to have maintained his relationship with the other characters as well and have people change some opinion about the demons and slowly have a stable relationship with the demon realm while ML has to represent the demon on their behalf. But sadly this is only what we can get from the original. <<less

Spoiler

Luo Binghe was extremely yandere and it felt like SQQ stayed with him out of a sense of guilt rather than love. He keeps saying stuff like he can't live without his Shizun, and I get it, but SQQ shouldn't feel like if he leaves you, you will screw up the whole cultivating world because of your anger. It really felt like SQQ gave up and decided to stay with him. Also the whole thing where LBH slept beside SQQ's dead body for five years? What was up with that? Don't even get me started on the miscommunication and the r*pe. Also, LBH has the personality of a literal manchild and a rock simultaneously. What an uninteresting character.

i would be fine with this book if it weren't for the fact that the couple is very f*cked up lol

why it was kinda f*cked up (for me)

Spoiler

the male lead had fallen down the abyss and came back as an a**hole. A kinda justified as*hole but still, an as*hole who whipped MC in the dungeon and inadvertently killed MC.

him not defending MC during the case abt MC BEING ACCUSED OF ABUSING ML (which literally happened before the transmigration, after the transmigration, the MC had literally blocked the ML from getting a deadly poison that still affected the MC til his death. Had treated him well. And welp. Ml: forgets everything that the MC had done for him and throws him into the dungeon without trying to defend this dude. Like wtf bro.

the MC is just thinking of lbh as his own son, but lbh thinks of him as his master that he really loves and doesn't want anyone near. Aka freaky yandere. Like im ok w yandere fics but JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL.

the male lead (lbh) r*pes the MC (sqq) as an act to save himself at the end of the book and other people tried to justify it which is weird but ok.

YOU ALSO CANT BLAME ONLY LUO BINGHE FOR THIS SHIT. The MC (sqq) has f*cking done so much sh*t to emotionally scar this dude. U broke the ooc function, it is not a major plot point. COMMUNICATE PLEASE!

tldr: they suck at communicating and the MC suddenly falls in love w the male lead after getting r*ped by him. Side characters also have this problem, which annoys me to the bone!

please don't compare luo binghe to lan wangji from mdzs, lwj is so pure I cannot.

if u ask me, this ship I will mention below should've sailed because at least I would get where did it develop and how people could support it because it's genuinely sweet. Yes I'm talking abt

Spoiler

Liu Qingge x Shen Qinqqiu. That man (lqg) fought everyday for five years (and went back home filled w injuries, he never won, poor baby ʕ ´• ᴥ•̥`ʔ) just to get back sqq's body from lbh to bury it properly while lbh was committing necrophilia in his palace on his shizun (word for master aka sqq) jesus christ I love that man. No one deserves his pureness ffs.

also it's much more stable than 'i r*ped my teacher and he feels bad for me, decided to be w me because I was hurt and upset and he felt guilty despite me inadvertently killing him and hurting him a lot'

if y'all want to read a fic that will make u understand the PAIN I had gone through when thinking abt this ship, read

cry with me.

- liu qingge (BABY BOY)

- the world building is actually p cool

- the girls in the story are actually interesting characters (if the writer had decided to flesh their characters even more, it'll be even cooler)
