―――The wind-manipulating female general Ortasia is an extremely cruel person. Just saying her name would cause even those from her own country to tremble in fear. Then came a day that the invincible Ortasia had to finally pay for her sins on. Her comrades, who were scared of even her war-mongering existence, set a trap for her. It was then that she lost her right eye. Barely escaping alive*, she escaped to a small cabin in the woods. Meeting the young lumberjack Shingen who lived there, she swore――― with that boy she would start a fierce storm to get revenge and take back the country―――

Wanting to become a knight like the one he admired, the lumberjack joined her and learned that the majority of the White Wolf Order were actually women. And with that he came to this conclusion:

“Hey, former commander! You acted really cool while you were explaining all of that but, really, you were just creating your own harem, weren’t you?!”

And with that our serious-sounding, yet at the same time not-so-serious story begins!!

Simply put: Think Akame Ga Kill, where Esdeath and Tatsumi are the final couple. That's what it's shaping up to be so far in terms of romance. (Granted, the "Esdeath" in this case is on the good guy's side) The translation quality is legible, but there are grammatical issues here and there that can make it slightly uncomfortable to read, but nothing major, and you can easily understand it. There is filler text here and there too, so there is that as well. The story itself focuses on a princess... more>> who was betrayed by her ministers trying to rise back up in rebellion with help from our MC. I will update this review after I read some more. <<less

The story's interesting enough. The harem so far seems to be less for the MC, and more for some dead guy, though I suppose he'll probably win them over eventually? It's generic, but the setting and characters have enough personality to make it unique within the genre (fantasy, tactics, politics).

I'd rate it at least a 4*, maybe 5* if I felt generous, except that the pace has been messed up. There's more focus on flashbacks and POVs of side characters and villains than scenes including the main character so far... more>> - in fact, I'd say about 3/4 of the chapters have nothing to do with him. The main villain (?) has gotten more character development.

So, 3/5 stars - I wouldn't recommend it so far but I wouldn't recommend against it, and it has enough unexplored potential that I could easily see myself rating it higher later on if the writing improves. <<less

Too simple, characters blurt out confidential information in the first chapters... feels like reading a manga, which is bad for a novel.

Too bad, I really liked the art style, the one eyed heroine looked cute.
