She transmigrated into an orphan, thinking that she still had her boyfriend with her, yet in an instant, her world crashed. For the position of heir, he said, “Yao’er, why don’t you become my second wife?” A sentence destroyed her wishful thinking, causing her to end their relationship of two lives cruelly. Leaving the hustle bustle, she then lived in a forest, wanting to find an honest man to spend the rest of her life with. But not long after getting married, she realized that the honest man she married was a bit dishonest.

“Are you not an ordinary hunter?” she stared at the man pretending to be innocent in a furious manner. Is the ending going to be this way? Of course not, the story had just begun from the moment she changed her future.

The story flow of the story is really good. The way the author delivers the story and how each twists unfolds is great. The female MC is really great and even though I was disappointed of her indifference at first, it became quite a surprise when she finally explodes and reveals her true nature and secrets. Thinking back, there is a vast difference from the early chapters to the current chapter. I liked how both the male and female lead improved together. You could see how each event affects their... more>> lives and decisions. It is a very refreshing novel where the male lead aren't actually THAT vicious compared to other stories. He's not the sensitive type unless its related with the female character. I give this 5 stars for the great delivery and context of the story. Thumbs up for the author! <<less

I wanted to like that novel, both the MC and the ML seemed good, it had potential, but unfortunately neither the novel is good nor its translation. I endured for a while waiting for at least one of these two things to improve but no, no more.

There is little to no romance, most of the things happen off-screen and you add the genre Romance.. for real? afterwards is the fact that she has been together with that ex for almost 10 years, we get nothing regarding their past, like tell me exactly how tf is she not pregnant after 10 years? or are you gonna say she is a virg*n after this much time being together with that person.. afterwards is that her personality doesn't match her actions, they say she doesn't care about money and... more>> fame and so on, and left her rich family to become an international wine maker and learn cooking cause she wanted to, so you get the image of a strong independent woman, and yet somehow she was together with that dude for so many years and not realize how bad he is, the victimization of the FL gets more and more s*upid, they always make s*upid things outside their character, and then are the people that somehow never stop bothering the MC, and spread rumours, cause you know even tho the villagers have already heard lying rumours 9999 times, they will still believe the 10000th rumour, just like with the other 9999, plot holes are created with a shotgun, I tried reading it because it was not the CEO romance novel, but even those avg CEO novels are so much better, at least I get the romance and even if the FL has a past lover for victimization and so on, at least is not something that happened for 10 years and magically find out she is virg*n after 10 years while her ex is a douchebag that is h**ny and makes his next wife pregnant within less than 1 year... I'm also a person that treasures v**ginity, is just special and I put it above marriage and so on, but like come on, is 10 years... if you still didn't build any trust after 10 years then why tf are you still together? <<less

At the start, the story sounds exciting and good but as it progress, it became boring. I'm still far from the half of the story yet I was thinking where the story will lead to. It's sounds like the succeeding chapter will be somewhat alike from the scene before. It's getting dull considering that there were 800 plus chapters. I don't think that the excitement I felt before were not the same as now. The schemes were endless.

The FL and ML are fine. It starts as a simple farming/hunting novel, but it turns out the FL is the head CEO/Spymaster/etc. Of a giant conglomerate/spy organization and ML is the top general of the land. The plot changes too suddenly. One day they're just acquaintances, the next day they're engaged and in love. One day the FL is living alone humbly, the next day she buys new servants that are her 5 most powerful servants from the past. One day FL is with her servants, the next day... more>> the powerful mysterious figures that helped raise her show up. The changes were too quick without any changes in the FL's personality.

The villains are the problem. Out of the blue, someone covets their money, status, or relationship and these villains repeatedly scheme and plot against the FL and ML. The number of people trying to kidnap or kill the FL is unreal. Repeatedly, the FL and ML let the villains go. After many schemes and chances, the villains eventually get killed by other villains, but there are usually 2-3 villains scheming at the same time.

If the author had stuck with the farming/hunting life and slowly built on that and the romance, the novel would have been fine. But with the sudden explosion of secret identities, politics, and crazy dumb villains, the novel just became too unreal. <<less

Each arc is kind of identical with the MC facing down some evil women and a lecherous man. Would be fine if it just happened once but so far three separate times and no plot progression.

I recommend reading the first arc as it is quite entertaining but then giving up there.

This is genuinely one of the most boring stories I’ve ever read. Someone described it as a bunch of filler episodes and I couldn’t agree more. A good concept but the lack of a good & interesting antagonist and the fact the MC never actually struggles ruined the story for me.

The story is good. The main characters are well built and have a lot of plot. However it is tiring, I agree with others, it has a lot of repetition and always the same problem, they forgive and others continue to irritate.

About the characters: it's an open spoiler since it's on the tag of the novel, only those who act like idiots have no other identity, if someone with a little brain and common sense appears is someone who has some power (military, financial, social)

Spoiler

In the first arc we have the discovery of ML's identity and the resolution for the battle of the throne. The former ML fiance dies satisfactorily and his wife, the princess of the Duke's house, who suffered a lot leaves the scene, and goes offline thereafter.

[collapse]
The couple strengthens the bonds and many of the colleagues and helpers also form meet their peers.

Spoiler

The arc ends with the construction of ML's relationship with the father who is the conductor of the neighboring country, ML's pregnancy and the search for ML's mother.

Second arc: the protagonist gave birth to a boy she calls a little monkey, haha the general thinks it is absurd but is not so opposed to it. The protanist's mother appears to be in an induced coma hidden by the high priest in the other country. It is a fact that she was kidnapped. In addition, the new enemies present a risk to FL and her baby so she will kind of finally demonstrate Tongbai's true strength.

[collapse]

I don't know much about what happens afterwards, the story left me exhausted, there doesn't seem to be an end.

previous review:

Spoiler

wow, these people are too much, be a orphan is a sin, it's something chose for yourself? How they dare say and think that she is below because of that? So absurd

I really enjoyed the novel! One of my few favourites in which I'm more than happy to reread!

I do admit that the villains can be such annoyances - because they are such delusional, persistent, and s*upid people - but I still enjoyed reading it.

At first, there was a lot of business management, but now, as the story continued onwards, it gets to be more political. There are still some business aspects to it - how else will FL display some of her power - but much less so.

I wonder how... more>> things will progress in later chapters. <<less

I was actually pleasantly surprised by this novel. I thought it was gonna be lame at first but it’s actually really good. I love the main characters and the slice of life without too much drama yet with the plot moving forward. Really good so far

A little slow for the romance part but really good so to see the MC solving the problems by herself. I like the interactions of MC with head of village's daughter. Hope the future villains will be more intelligent and scheming than the current ones.

The description of the story and the first chapter are very satisfying and unique. What a pity, after the great start it became so slow paced. Moreover here is a slow romance. Guess it's just not my cup of tea. I may give it a try later after more chapters will be translated.

A little repetitive, predictable plot. But I do love the concept, it's my favorite to read. My biggest issue with it is the translation. It's okay, mostly understandable but there are sections where a sentence is so clunky (either the wording or the grammar) it takes a few reads to understand what they meant or just use the wrong character name.

Edit: the translation does get better but boy did the earlier chapters almost make me drop it. I'm a little disappointed that it's going for a more political angle, I... more>> read this because I love farming/slice of life stories more than political ones. Its not going in a bad direction but I kind of wished it was more of her finding out his omissions, her getting mad and him having to woo her back again while proving he wants this simple life but it's not. One thing I keep noticing is the author's use of foreshadowing, I feel like they don't really deliver or maybe it's just way too far ahead but it's trying to hit you with the clues right now. <<less
