Jung Sunwoo was an average man. He had just taken his first job at W&U, a celebrity management company, as a manager. He could finally achieve his dream of being the manager of a world-famous actor or actress. On his way to work, he fell into what appeared to be a lucid dream about his future. As he went on with his day, he realized it may not have simply been a lucid dream.

I never thought I would like a story like this but I enjoyed it greatly. Being a K-pop fan follower I know exactly who he is referencing.

Neptune= Hello Venus

Alive= Train to Busan

Among others. Some people might find that there is a web series base on this but let me tell you right now. It is tr*sh. They gender flip everyone in there so it is 4 boys and 1 girl manager.

Top Management rightfully deserves all the praise it receives. The author crafts the dialogue, characters, and plot with such heart and soul. Drama, mystery, and romance are all intricately woven together. Top Management sits in its own lofty echelon above all other webnovels.

Normally, I don't read these types of novels. But, I find it to be pretty awesome! Like reviewer Trent says, the visions that's Sunwoo gets aren't OP. They simply give him hints to go off of and that's one thing I love about this novel. Junwoo is constantly thinking about what to do as nothing in his visions are set in stone.

Really awesome story about the show-biz that includes the dark sides of society and a super-cool MC. Also it made me watch a kpop-performance on youtube :)

There is no such a thing like complain to this novel

Its just GOOD, VERY

To be honest we knew that he is going to be a successful manager so what has the author try to tell?

Its about the process, you know where the finish line but dont know how to reach it or is there going to be more

Where is the difference with this novel with GoM (God of Music) and IRAS?

Spoiler

-1st

its about the superpower, while it sees the future it was more like a teaser for a new chapter and uncontrolable

think it this way, what will you do as a writer when you see your future self will definitely become the most popular writer at the future, then what must you do to become one? How many, what novel, what is the content? What is there to pay attention? Are you going to see more of this "vision"? You will think hard you might explode from the angst, warriness and anticipitation

-2nd

how the author wrote it. For IRAS you will get these chinese vibe (face slapping so often that it become moldy). For GoM its the nuance and atmosphere, while there is anticipation there is no feeling of angst and tense that keep you hooked

I personally liked how the author put a tense situation beautifully each chapter without decreasing the joke and whatever else while keep the story walking

-3rd

the character stance. While people said GoM like picking an escalator food (or whatever else), well this is not he keeps with them

[collapse]

At first it feels like another slice-of-life novel, but once the plot start digging you just cant stop beating

Cause you know what? I feel like im actually reading an action novel <<less

i like the story. I like the MC. I like how uncertain his ability is and how it doesn't just show up on demand, no matter how much he might want it to. I enjoy his chemistry with Neptune and actually feel a little disappointed he always ends up as a CEO in his visions, which is a total job change from the one he is doing so well. I know the point of all these novels is the MC has ambition and climbs to the top and all but... more>> I'd be happier seeing him become the superstar god of managers instead.

I'm just hoping the author starts writing again before the translators catch up, though admittedly that will take a while since they usually only release 1 chapter a week.

a good story and a very nice change from all those Chinese cultivation novels with the temperamental (and sometimes just mental) manlier than manly men and their strong to weak harem members. <<less

For me, this novel is perfect in every way, except the speed of translation is really lacking but still thankful for translator's work. Not much to say, you guys can read the others' reviews and the rating, this novel is a must-read!

This is a way too wonderful novel! after reading a sh*t like 'my wife is a beautiful CEO' (for having a disgusting male lead) this healed me, ahh.... guys try this out. this is how a novel should be written. I am tired of most copy paste sh*t by now. the guy has a sort of precognition but nothing is set in stone, as he changes his conduct, the future changes, unexpected things happen and he has to be very active (rack his own brains and not have an artifact... more>> take care of it) and take immediate actions to solve it. I love this story and the male lead. as much as relationships have been shown to be light/casual to the point of being vomit inducing in the 'my wife is a beautiful CEO' novel, this novel did perfect justice. I am hoping it only gets better from here on out. ahh yes, u got me......i have deep hatred for that other novel I mentioned, sorry vented a bit <<less

I love this novel. It's a very refreshing take on a premise similar to that of "I'm Really a Superstar", but better in every way. It's not overly patriotic and doesn't make out the Korean entertainment industry to be the best of the best. Myoniyoni's description on the Table of Contents page describes the novel very well. The story is about "a relatable story about a man who just got his first job, who just happens to see the future". It's very well written, and the characters don't feel extremely... more>> flat. There are no stats, or items, or other videogame tropes, so it's fun to see how the MC interacts with various situations since most of the time he's able to see only part of the future. All in all a great read, and I highly recommend it.

I wanted to give it a 5/5 but I can't for some reason 'w' <<less

This novel is good in the way that the character is not some OP protagonists that gets what he wants easily, Just because he is seeing the future doesn't mean that he have to change everything that he sees, no it's not like that at all the MC here can fix it the way he wants like fixing a broken object where you can fix it many ways but it all comes down to you to choose what kind of method you want to use to.

I don't know what other... more>> people are saying but I can say that this is a pretty god novel for me as I am reading novel which are themed like this. So all I can say is keep up the good work Author and also SOMEBODY TRANSLATE THIS!!! It's a waste to drop a novel like this.... <<less

Just getting my 5 star review in. Just a great, great web novel. It inordinately frustrates me that the author dropped it - although health issues were mentioned, I think it relates to the failure of the TV adaptation, which f#cked the whole premise, making the MC a girl managing a boy band. It just didn't translate and failed hard.

This is one of the few novels I continually come back to, and can enjoy reading a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th time. HIghly recommended except for the fact it was ultimately... more>> dropped. <<less

Probably one of my favorite read with the Apprentice Architect - I absolutely wondered : how come this is not a tv série already, it is so good i, for once, would sit in front of a screen to see it real life, I guess the hiatus doesn’t help it

in a way it reminds me of never ending glass mask for that sad reason, of course, but also because it has some showbiz theme

it feels very much like a behind the scenes of how idols or actors world work,... more>> from the perspective of a manager

the characters are nice, there a great variety of people that you love and hate, are eager to learn more about the dynamic is great, the supernatural twist give a bit of something to expect and is smartly used - I absolutely love how it’s truly a team story, despite a « super power », what matters most is trust and relationships, respect and sharing, contrary to many titles, it’s a story about connection, and choices (including moral choices)

it’s highly entertaining, fun, suspenseful, and rewarding to read

so why the hiatus ?
If I had to guess there’s a contradictory between the manager’s growth and the good nature of the smaller people interactions - it seems like becoming a « boss » is kind of a must for these type of characters : he will be full filled if he becomes the top of the food chain, run in big car, board yacht etc. But big bosses live alone in their vast office ?

The truth might be more in what he’s being told when he stars working : the accomplishments of making it happen : making « someone else » a star - it’s about contributing, at least as much as self growth, and as a reader, it most certainly where the pleasure lies

However, because of the « race to the top » trop, at a point, the MC becomes promoted so high, we start to lose the nice, cute. fun or gritty interactions, with the many idols/ actors... and the fun parts disappear ?

it becomes a struggle for self - thankfully the introduction of a film making process brings back the action, and it’s great, suspenseful and truly interesting - but then it stops « hiatus «

i guess it also feels drier, it became more of a one man story, there’s little to no more of the other cats growth anymore - the story slides to focusing only on the MC and a female lead : now he’s going to race to be a boss, and she’s going to want to become an international start ?
maybe there lied the writer dilemma : is it interesting to read and write another bit of that? Emotionally talking, is there any satisfaction in reducing a splendid team to bring two people on the very rich and splend desert island of top successful people ?

the very sweet balance of the one man struggle and team contributions to success is becoming hard to find, and as much as I find absolute fascinating the over side of film making world, I started to wish at a point that the MC would change his views on what is « success »...

Canne comes to bring bigger greed, in front of an already too big one : he’s not even at the top of korean entertainment, and he starts to desire the world recognition - how useless is that ?

mind me, I absolutely want to read more, but I understand the writer might have walked on a piece of soap when leaving the place of utmost interactions with the stars and I wish his future vision would provide help in seeing another kind of ending for his character <<less

I definitely enjoyed this novel. The MC is an aspiring manager in the Korean entertainment industry. He starts getting random visions of possible future events since the first day of his job. He uses this knowledge to make leaps of progress in his career.

You don't really need to know anything about k-pop to read this. It has its fair share of low points but I believe that it is still worth a read.

The comedy is PURE. GOLD. The novel gets a little slow at times but it's seriously hilarious. I'm laughing my guts out right now (I'm around chapter 80). Lots of interesting dialogue and insight into the entertainment industry. It's an easy read but also makes you think. It's really enjoyable!

This novel will never have an Ending..

The writing is good, the joke sometimes caught me off guard. The environment of entertainment industry in the novel is explained without a bit of nudity which surprised me how it can. I dont know if this kind of story or irony always happen in Korean drama. It gives fresh air with novel specially when moving from Japanese and Chinese novel.

The idea is cool. The narratives is good even tho as times goes on, you can see these basically a Script for a movies... more>> or series. (To note theres Korean Drama namely Top Management, shame thing is they ganderchange and change the story aswell.)

The most interesting in this novel is the emotional values how Jung Siwoon act according to his Future-hints. His character is really interesting maybe because the writer using I as the story goes on and makes the reader feels immersed emotionally.

Spoiler

I dont know why I put spoiler tag cause I know everyone who see review will open this tag

The story continues on and on but the path for him become narrows and narrows. Because he change.. To certain character, and he got his weakness, I would say too many weakness. In Korea Entertainment industry, it always double edge-sword. Read the novel to know more.

[collapse]

After 150 chapter, everything become a mess.

After read 196, I put my mind to close. Close my window browser and thanking god I got good time with this and feel sad I will never re read this again.

I write this review to tell you guys, this is a good read. The character specially MC development is real deal, but I put the novel off when

Spoiler

Youngha said. It Turn me off. Too much.

[collapse]

Well its really fresh novel for me as you can tell how much I got emotionally with this. But theres no end of it, no to be exact to many loose ends. The author can use this novel to make many Arc but no.. The irony is too heavy. Even in 20 years, we never know how Jung Sunwoo become. <<less

Now at chapter 155 I can say that this is one of the novels that I actually keep track of and wait for updates.

In this segment I think this novel is top 3 material easily (both story and translation)

Unlike many other stories on NU this has according to me not only a good plot butbetter character building no overly impossible harem type situations.

MC has an ability, other MC too have but the thing is that it's not op that makes the story break or well... simply for me lose... more>> interest after 10 chapters. TheMC works hard shows different sides and actually shows scenario that are possible <<less

When I read the first chapter I felt the writing is good and the chapter is interesting but I was afraid of too much details and the pace of the story. I worried for nothing. Instead of over details, the backhand scenes of the entertainment industry is shown to me in interesting way. Characters are all good. His ability gives him future results whenever he is facing a crisis but whether how to achieve it or how not to depends only on MC. Only time I get frustrated was when... more>> I end up with no more chapter translated to read. <<less

This is the only novel I have written a review for because of how much I love it! Everything from the characters to the setting is amazing and funny. It also doesn't overuse the power in the plot so it makes the story much more exciting. The only thing I hate is having to wait a week for the next translation update.

Really good.

The MC his a little dense. Just a little, just enough to be cute.

My only complain his that their not enough chapter out already and the chapter are short. Beyond that, it's a story with a good feel and the different character are believable.

If like me, you are waiting for you regular chapter to be out, take the time to read this. If you like the genre, you won't be disapointed.
