Shi Qing Xia is practically an angel.

Before reading this review, know that this book is very dark and f*cked up to be completely honest. Please bare this in mind.

This is my favorite book ever, both in print and online. I never reread books except for this one. Since the start of 2021, I've probably read this book 4+ times. I don't remember how many times I've reread it in the past few years. As I said earlier, the book is very dark, which is the main reason I love it. BWA does not put things lightly... more>> and doesn't beat around the bush. I have a huge (male) yandere fetish which this book perfectly satisfied.

In terms of the characters, all of them are good and well rounded. The FL and MLs personality's change significantly from the beginning of the book to the end of it.

The only criticism I have that I can think of off the top of my head was, during my first time reading it, I began to lose interest around chapter 39 as there wasn't much yandere action going on. The ending, though, redeems this slightly boring act.

TLDR: Dark male yandere book that's both short and a perfect way to sate your yandere craving. <<less

This is definitely a very strong case of Stockholm syndrome where the female lead ends up happy with her captors after trying to run away n number of times. Honestly I wanna give this story 2.5 stars, but I rounded up because it's a quick read and half the smut scenes did appeal to me.

The writing isn't bad, pretty mediocre, but the translation was actually really well done!! As for the smut, I honestly I feel like for this kind of novel, there was too much plot. Like if they... more>> were going to add so much plot I wish they put Stockholm syndrome and PTSD in a more realistic light, but it's surprisingly lighthearted despite how heavy the abuse is. Abuse isn't as bad as "Not Allowed to Leak a Single Drop, " but some of the violence still had me cringe.

Overall I think I liked half of the smut scenes? They're mostly in the beginning and then they pretty much disappear halfway through as the author focuses more on trying to redeem the twins.

I wish the author didn't try to redeem the twins. The later half of the story is just people making up excuses for their behavior and trying to convince the FL to accept them. I would have rather just read a twisted smutty love story that admits its completely irredeemable, but oh well.

The author only half heartedly addresses the severity of r*pe and abuse so dear fellow readers please keep that in mind that this relationship is NOT okay even if there is a happy ending.

PS. I don't think the description did a great job describing the female lead. The female lead is actually a very average girl who grew up in a slightly poor but happy family and is earnest with her studies. She's not really an angel? But I guess compared to the twins she is??? (More accurate to say the twins are devil incarnate and she's just a regular human though). <<less

READ IT YOU WON'T REGRET IT...

I love how devoted the twins are, and they can't anyone else other than our MC...

Sure it's kinda twisted how they show their love, but it's because they grew up in a even worse environment than we can ever think of...

By the they didn't really hurt the MC that's bloody or grotesque that some of you might think...

It's just too possesive and controlling... and may came r*pey...

They had 1 son and then after 10 years they had another kid a daughter... the nale leads were so possesive of our MC even to their own children.. and the son was another yandere boii, who loves his mother soo much and would fight woth his fathers...

Zhao Bo - is the eviler (like bit*h his the evil incarnate haha behind that princely smile) and outgoing...

Zhao Xuan - the gentler and kinder, quite and cold of the twins...

Nope nope nope. Tried but it's too sick to even try to stomach. MC is a victim that gave up hope to escape and I wish both MLs would burn in pits of hell.

Not giving it a rating, tbh I guess its mere morbid curiosity that had me reading it to the end so it's not fair for me to rate something that's outside my area of tolerance.

The translation was well done.

The protagonist is too soft-hearted imo, Stockholm syndrome for sure.

... more>> The male leads are yandere, the harmful kind... physical abuse/torture, non-con, and extremely paranoid.

I guess you can say I'm very vindictive, if death is what it took to escape them, then I would do it... living such a way akin to being a mere tool for lust and being abused on top of that despite their claim of love... that's just beyond the realm of acceptance IMO. <<less

Read the tags before reading the novel!!

Reasons why I gave it a 4/5

  1. The ending felt a bit rushed.
  2. Lots of time skips.
  3. Felt that MC didn't "love" them, its more like she got used to them.
  4. Some side characters that were there in the beginning just never appeared again towards the end. (Just gone lol)
Other than that, I thought the story was great. As I mentioned before, read the tags before reading the novel. There is a lot of sensitive scenes that might trigger people (i.e. abuse, r*pe, etc). I... more>> personally enjoyed the novel very much, I found it very 'refreshing' and different from the typical stories that I read. And by 'refreshing' I mean there is practically no drama in the relationship; no side-chick, no rivals, nothing; just MC and the MLs (Compared to other novels that are full of love rivals and schemes/plots). Any "love rivals" will get kicked away by MLs lol. It's pretty much a straightforward story.

This is a mature/smut genre type novel so expect a lot of snu snu.

The ending felt a bit rushed because of all of the time skips (in the beginning she's 18 and by the end, she's 41). That made me confused bc one day she's 20 and the next she's 30 with a child. Like.... wut? I'm serious though, a lot of time skips towards the end.

There was a point in the novel where she ran away and slowly realized that she actually loves them. But right before she decides to go back home they find her and chain her up in the bas**ent so she'll never run away again. And honestly, I wished that she realized her feelings and went back home sooner or for them not to be so harsh on her; because after they did that to her, her love and all the other emotions she had were gone. She basically became an emotionless s*x doll & MC just accepted her fate and stopped resisting them. I really wanted her to love them, not get used to them. :/ At the end of the novel (when she's 40ish) she loves them (or so they say) but I didn't see anything that would lead to that. Maybe it happened during the time skip, but they should show that to the readers at least. I can't just assume MC ended up loving them if I didn't see anything.

An example would be MC's best friend. She was by MC's side during college, supporting her and everything. Then she slowly fades away after graduation and completely disappears after she gets married, never to be mentioned again. And the doctor she meets in a village, he only appears twice and was last mentioned chasing a nurse? lol

Look at the tags; All the bad thing there are done to the MC by the two male leads.

I'd feel bad rating this lower because of all the work put in by the translator.... but this story was completely unenjoyable for me. Almost every chapter made my cry out of anger. I'm here because I like yandere, but the 'yandere' was not convincing for me. I'm not into sadistic characters, I'm into excessively passionate characters. Rather than being so obsessed they were crazy, the twins are just abusive, unfeeling people... more>> who got attached to someone.

They never apologize, nor do they feel regretful enough to move me. They finally worry about her near the end and she feels vindicated after being a tiny bit manipulative. Oh man, you made them a little worried, that totally makes up for all the times you ended up hospitalized.

she ends up completely hating them, with like a little bit of love left. She gets a tiny smidgen if freedom decides to use it to spend the rest of her life manipulating them to make them anxious for her. Hon, it's gonna take a while for that to add up to revenge for months of being treated like a s*x doll. (Not s*ave, doll. As in, they only interacted with her to get off, and ignored her the rest of the time. Leaving her literally strapped to a bed in an empty room.)

If you're into NonCon, there are a few steamy scenes. But the second half of the story is infuriating and I found it impossible to enjoy. Even taking into account how Chinese romance typicality wants a modest girl who's embarrassed by s*x, everything was about they guys' pleasure to a disturbing degree. I've actually read this story for a while and only now leaving a review.

This novel has everything I wanted in a yandere story:

Twins ✓

... more>> Younger Love Interests ✓

Polyandry ✓

Forced Relationship ✓

Manipulation ✓

Confinement ✓

Children ✓

And other sick and f*cked up factors (tags) that should only be in fictional stories 😊 ✓

I'm a sucker for this kinds of plots. This is exactly my cup of tea. I've been looking for stories similar to this ever since I've read it and have been utterly disappointed.

Imo, I think the story ended satisfyingly, but I do wish to read more about their daily lives in additional side stories. 😢 If you are into this kinda stuff, do give it a try. You will absolutely love it! ❤️ If not, please don't give this a low rating (like just don't give a rating at all and just leave a review) and prevent readers from finding this gem or refrain from reading this because of the poor rating.

These kinds of stories are not for everybody. <<less

there is very little smut, s*x or anything of the kind. Only like 3 proper s*x scenes and they don’t even go into that much detail. Truthfully I felt that the whole progression was too quick. The MC gets rapped and nearly killed, then a chapter later she is considering if they MLs love her... but truthfully what bugged me the most was after she ran away from her wedding and gets capture back, force r*ped on her wedding night and then spends 9 months locked in a bas**ent room getting r*ped over and over. She then finds out she is pregnant, and in ONE day manages to bounce back like nothing happened only because she wants to keep the baby and somehow forgives them for everything.... like sure... but no...

But the execution was so poor, the traumas and smut where so glossed over, and the emotional changes so quick I nearly got whiplash. Over all it wasn’t worth the effort to read. There are primarily three issues with this novels:

  1. The MLs are rapists, but they don't even try to change their ways. They 'love' her, but abuse her so much. This was due to their *gasps* horrid childhood. But they don't try to change their ways, even though the FL tries to kill herself numerous times. Especially when it was nearing the end. Usually novels have a closure and finish to the antagonism, this one doesn't do that.
  2. The FL's so called revenge (s) was off-putting. She was focusing on the wrong things. Maybe she lost her marbles from all the abuse.
  3. The author does a terrible job at maintaining the mood of the story. The abuses wasn't downplayed as romance. But the plot had lighthearted scenes which makes me sick. One moments things get all dark and abusive, the next the FL goes out to play with her friend? How was she able to stay this way? Why didn't she skewer those bastards?
It was short and completely translated, hence I breezed through it. The plot and premise is engaging, I just couldn't stop reading. The translation was so well done, I want to give the translator/s a kiss.

3 stars, not for the characters, but for the plot and way it was presented. It was average; not too bad or great.

The ML leads try to change but even at the end they are very controlling and always try to dominate the MC, they don't trust her words easily, (I guess due to the fact that she tried to escape, who wouldn't?), I don't blame her actions, they are reasonable and realistic

How do I put this? I enjoy the somewhat short length of this novel, but I must say that this is one of those novels where you anticipate things getting better, only to be horrified that it really doesn't.

It's like watching a train wreck. Entertaining train wreck, but a train wreck nevertheless. Once you start, it's difficult to peel your eyes away from the story, even though some of it makes you want to give up entirely. If you can get through the tough plot line ... more>>

, you will be able to finish the story. However you will be raging through it all. To make it worse, the story doesn't really have redeemable MLs. They care about her, of course, but they don't take redeemable action. Not until the end of the novel do we get some respite, but that's only during the ending. The female lead pretty much gives up fighting them and surrenders... which means no actual character growth from her captors. I'm still suffocating for her up until the very end. She accepts her fate and the obsessive control over her life by her husbands which is masqueraded as love. In real life this is plain abuse. But in fictional fantasy mode, this is not too out of the ordinary. Read at your own risk.

This book is only worth 3 stars, but the translations have been done very well. Everything flows and not many mistakes. So I give it an extra 0.5. <<less

So~~~ At the point I stopped reading (not because I gave up on it, its because I need to wait for more updates) Im giving a realistic review (or not) for now~~

Anyways, I've always thought that the twins, despite their psychotic tendencies, I will somehow learn to love them.

I recommend this novel to thos who are equally psychotic or is just in the mood for reading stockhol obsessed twins ganging up on *ahem* well~~ you'll know what I mean.

But anyways, it says here in the tags thag they... more>> might have a charcter progress so, Im hoping for them to have a second chance at being at least a tiny bit non-psychotic and I'd be able to love them (not that I'd wish It'd happen to me cause that would be...) Welp~~ it seems that Im still in the middle of what's going on with the plot. It would be especially interesting to see how psychotic characters tend to change for the one and only~~ if ya'll know what I mean ??? <<less

This story is way to much twisted in short once u start reading this you will just flow with it you will never decide weather you want to leave or continue. This twins are really a big pysco's who really don't understand what is love in name of love they tortured the female lead but same time they are so sweet to her.i really feel sorry for FL I just wander in the end if she will be happy. ngl I hated this mls of this novel. they are horrible to the FL and somehow she is supposed to bear everything bc of their tragic childhood or something ugh. like I'm sorry you had a shitty life, , but that doesn't mean you can go and try to kill and abuse our FL bc of that. at the same time, the mls have no personality and even at the end, I couldn't differentiate between the two of them...

the FL is nice, she is very realistic in my opinion, but... more>> all throughout the novel I just felt so much pity for her.

the writing is also nice. I think it would have been a very good read if it was written as a dark tragedy novel rather than a romance one. <<less

I truly like the character of Mama Yu. I like how she can warp the truth so effectively and make FL endlessly grateful to male leads and say so much like saving yourself and saving others. After all that nonsense, she is basically a pimp who even consoles the prostitute for her foolish acts while collecting goodwill from the rapist as well as the victim.

Although I have mixed up feelings about this novel, I cannot deny the fact that I truly enjoyed reading this. I thought I stumbled upon a gem.

The two MLs are paranoid because of what they faced in the childhood. It's just that the way they show their love is different. Not that they want to torture the woman they love, or else you can say they don't know how to show their love. What I understood is they sincerely loved the girl.

The FL is also not that bad. She tried... more>> to escape many times and I applaud her for that although all her efforts were in vain. She took a long time to realize that she also loved the twins.

This novel has a happy ending which was very satisfying.

There are many scenarios that people might criticise, but afterall this is a novel. And if you're not comfortable reading, then what you should do is stop reading. Read the tags before you start this novel because if you're not experienced reading this genre, you'll find it hard to accept.

In my case, I read all those reviews before starting this novels which many said this novel is so dark, but when I was reading I didn't find it dark at all. And there was even humour mixed in many of the chapters. I completely loved the book from the beginning to the very end. I even binge read this cause I couldn't stop reading.

If you're wondering whether to read or not, just read this. You won't regret. <<less

Mmmmmm I don't knw how to feel about this novel or how to rate it! Its dark and at some point I felt disgusted and I wanted yo drop out but at the same time I wanted to see the end which was a disappointment! I can't imagine how she stayed with those 2 psyco and even have childrens!! The tape and BD*M was so f*cking cruel, I really felt depressed just by reading them

Boring, and the MC's personality & actions aren't bright. It's annoying to read about her actions and thoughts. They also start with a crazy smut plotline, and then cut out the smut for some weird, backwards pg-ish one?! Why even bother, after starting it off that way. Wtf?! Makes no sense, and is choppy.
