MC is tr*sh that can't cultivate, until he does and becomes the strongest ever. MC compulsively offends everyone and survives on massive plot armor. There is actually a scene where the MC's lady liege tells him to not offend the princes they are about to meet. and he replies with "I know, obviously, you don't have to tell me that"... when he literally grievously offended 2 different princes in the past 3 days. And not for good or even mediocre reasons either, just because the princes didn't give him face (by ignoring him as if he didn't exist, and then say "why is this mortal servant talking to me?"), because he is a random mortal servant who can't even cultivate at the time. The MC has been attached to the lady liege as she goes to the testing ground for sect recruitment as thanks for him helping her find some herb she can then gift to someone important (MC joined her expedition into the danger zone to find it). Well, one of her guards shows "loyalty" to the MC by telling this important person "she is lying, she didn't find this herb, the MC found the herb and gave it to her". She fires said idiot guard and he is given a beating. MC is angry at such an evil act when in fact that guard got off very lightly for his s*upidity. The author also keeps on harping at how s*upid real medicine is, and the glory that is chinese traditional (fake) medicine. He is also hilarious ignorant, thinking penicillin is produced from various herbs via alchemy. Timing don't make sense MC is chasing to rescue a girl that disappeared into a death zone months or years ago, stumbles across her just as she is about to die and he can save her... repeatedly. Then later after years of timeskip MC shows up just in the right second (literally) to save friends/girl/innocents that have not seen him in years, repeatedly Oddly enough I am finding it readable. So I am giving it a 3 instead of a 1 despite its many many flaws.
Theres a scene in this story that is extreme short but really explains the entire story in one go. Basically the MC and a side character go to a lecture. The side character then explains that sitting in the front row will cause young masters and higher level cultivators to attack you because of reasons (face? I really do not know). The MC laughs and immediately sits down in that section without a thought. The young masters come in and immediately start a fight to which the MC beats them bloody and threatens to do it again anytime they see him in the future. The young masters go and get higher level cultivators to kill the MC forcing him to flee for his life.
I actually wouldnt hate this scene at all but there is one glaring problem, this is a cultivation novel. The MC as a cultivator who has transcended mortality should have no problem at all with hearing a lecture from any sort of distance.
