---- Second half: 3 stars. Its is blatantly obvious that the author started to rush things after ~chapter 250. All of the down time and detailed plot developments that existed during the first half of the novel are pretty much thrown out the window in exchange for extreme power creep and an endless cycle of boss fights. The detailed explanations of the world go away. The sense of tension and struggle that the main character had to endure and overcome at the start stop. The majority of the side characters that held significant roles during the first half are quite literally never mentioned once during the second half. Characters in the central circle become mindless 'yes-men'; all of the color and taste that their personality once had are completely thrown out of the window. That is not to say that it is not worth the read. The boss fights still maintain most of their integrity, however the tension that existed at the beginning goes away due to the aforementioned power creep.
Especially the ancient magicians that Theo would engage with.
Pro's -
Backstories - Myth's around magic, demons, gods, etc. are all connected in this world.
Artwork - has been drawn and helps you visualize a little better
Mildly entertaining Cons-
1. Poor writing - MC manages to keep a semi-low profile for 5 years at academy... but AS SOON as he becomes normal/gets a little talent, all of a sudden every teacher decides to challenge him JUST BECAUSE TEACHERS HAVE NOTHING TO DO BUT BULLY?? -Students as well... comon!? 2. As soon as he gets this power, everything in his life becomes x1000 times more dangerous...a normal life to danger+5000 in a matter of months. Walking back to his hometown even becomes a death sentence now. Elves who've lived for hundreds of years are suddenly threatened and only the MC can save them... Within a year of the MC getting his power, the world would have perished without the MC being conventiely in the right place at the right time. In that case, how did regular people even live before the MC existed... poor writing. Many more examples. Anyways, basic stories with any depth, don't just thrust the MC into fights/danger before at least establishing a solid world first right? 3. MC's ALWAYS manages to show up at JUST the perfect moment.
For blind faith readers -proof = hometown/parents, Girl Lee Seoul, the bibliophile, the Elves, ... etc.
like Lairon is Britain, Andras is USA, Austen is the middle east.
