It's bad. I had to make a pause to digest this novel before writing this review. If I wrote the review while it was still fresh in my mind I wouldn't have anything nice to say about it.

The plot is so bad and the ending is even more awful. It's not worth reading. I have seen the sings long ago, that it'll be a second-rate novel, but I stuck up with the novel because some funny moments. It's a shame that it never moved past toilet humour.

I'd recommend you skip... more>> this novel. <<less

It's not a novel you can purely enjoy, maybe as a manhua it'll have that what novel -for better- lacks, which is simplicity. Everyone knows how different manhuas are from their novels, some times- at least.

Is really not a good novel, just as the 3 stars implies here; 'ok'. The... 'comedy' should never be the focal point, like yea i'd love it if there was good amount of it every chapter... but when you realize most of those chapters are being dragged on to accumulate that 'building' of the atmosphere... more>> so as to when it 'drops' it's funnier (?) ; it's then when you say: "not like this". It becomes underwhelming specially when all comedy goes around, s*xual torture and gay jokes. All boss-like characters are another meaningless side-character, just a different name, and more: "IMPOSSIBLE, BRAZEN, INSOLENT, WORDS AND MORE TOTALLY UNACCURATE AND UNNECESARY CAPS WORDS WORDS WORDS" lines.

It easily lacks what other, what decent novels do not, solidness. Like when something extremely unlikely and sudden happen to you, your family or around- and you can't process it, except (in this case), you can; but you feel a type of diziness/somnolient fluke of a headache-like reaction and even as times passes, if even hundreds of chapters have gone by, you remember them and think: "damn, that was really unsettling, I mean it ended nice but damn... just damn:/".

And if one long, ardous and tiring system such as cultivation wasn't enough, because it's mandatory for them to be as a rule -at least in these tags/genres-; then let's just add another one with other words from 'cultivation base' to 'body state'... and it was dislikeable; at first I thought, since it was different and whynot simple/direct, I might just like it- wrong. Not only is a 'whatever the author writes, oh btw comedy too' but is also never explained, never gone deep into, as I said before, it lacks solidness in everywhere.

Spoiler

Now about the story, well, it wasn't enough. Nor bad or good, I felt it wasn't enough. The ending is... lacking -no need to repeat anymore:) - but it atleast goes with a philosophical -or whatever word fits for you, the one reading it- meaning, and although it's cute, is nowhere near satsfying or bad. It basically breaks the fourth wall... and if I may say, it wasn't cringy but wasn't far from it neither; it also was uncomfortable, an unbalance on whether he was trying to say to others: "Hey! Wait it's me, i'll still write more so if you could, why not just read my next ones:) ?" andwell there is nothing wrong with that, and it seemed quite nice how LF looked at 'himself' the author and thought about 'himself'; but it was also... doubtful. I wish it was more than just, 'ok write novels with Lin Fan as protagonist' but I accept that completely.

[collapse]

At least it wasn't another cringeworthy-disappointmentasf*ck like Heavenly Jewel, it was levels way above that, some thingies others ignore and are lazy enough to care, here it's just a direct skip and to curse out loud (so good). But it was lazy as well with the plot, which made the whole novel a good nap, a good long ass -a thousand one hundred and fifty nine- chapters nap. Power levels go dumb after a few hundred chapters, rivals and unnimportant side-characters go blugh and just keep going and skip this damn mini-useless arc. Anyways there definitely wasn't a prince-like writing without sexuality.

Good enjoyment. <<less

Honest Review: Mixed feelings. Started good but got sour in the middle and then bland towards the end.

Pros: Comedy (really good one sometimes, very rarely). That's all.

Cons: 1) No character growth. I mean literally, not a single character grows by themselves except the times where MC powers them up with cheats.

... more>> 2) Dull worlds. Nothing interesting about them. Honestly, I might just forget all about them in seven days after today.

3) Even MC does not grow. I can't even emphasize how the MC in the first paragraph is the same as the one in the last paragraph.

4)...

Final) Final chapter. That one needs a special mention for itself specifically. I don't want to spoil but the whole essence of the damn book boils down to one frigging chapter.

Conclusion: Leave @ chapter 444, the point where he ascends to the higher world if you want to leave the novel with a little good taste. Leave @ chapter 876, the point where new pointless characters appear and the plot extends if you want to leave the novel with at least a bland taste. Leave @ chapter 968, the point where he enters the final world if you want to leave the novel with a sour taste. Do not leave until the end if you want to end the novel with the taste of sh*t.

Reader's discretion advised.

PS: The story does not at all do justice to the harem tag of it. Even without it, the development of the feelings between MC and women (heroines or not) is s*upid at best. As I said, you can go for this novel for the comedy it delivers, that too only in the first half. <<less

The story started fine; could tell it was a parody of typical cultivation novels from the author's references. The beginning of the story was decent but as it began to drag on, it took a big fall in quality. It was very evident that the author began rushing and pretty much did not care too much about the in-between content prior to the ending. Tons of plot b.s. And pointless descriptions that ate away several chapters of content.

Spoiler

For example, when the author began talking about the Devil Incarnate, he spent way too much time on it. Like several chapters worth, and in the end it had zero impact on the story.

[collapse]

I mean the whole point is to talk about the main character. I kinda don't give a crap about these side characters that literally have no impact on the story.

Understandably, you can just write it off since it's just a parody and everything done in the novel meant nothing, but the story began taking itself too seriously in the latter half of the novel. Kinda just fell into the same line as all the other cultivation novels.

Spoiler

I mean, c'mon, the author literally just threw in a bunch of b.s. Convient plot fillers just to rush the ending arc: jumping from one state to the next in a matter of a few chapters just because of these chance encounters. Wouldn't have cared if the story hadn't gone down such a serious path. And then it was obvious the author just recycled a bunch of the same old enemies wihout much of a thought.

The levels just didn't make sense to me either (not the cultivation rankings, can thank some comments for that). It can pretty much be seen as 3 separate shits like Xuanhuang, Ancient Saint, and then Endless Mainlands. It was just a repetition of "lowest state is a pleb with no power and everyone else stronger was macho". Literally same ass formula. Not to mention the incessant powerups that was also spewed out of the craphole of the author: "humans are geniuses" therefore they power up with ease. I don't really understand why Lin Fan wouldn't let all the other humans ascend so that they can stop being so c*cky. Only Lin Fan can be c*cky.

Plus Lin Fan just became a downright psychopath at the end, but the story still tried to pass it off as his typical childish scamming origins. The last arc could've been so good but, again, same b.s. Formula: MC gets strong, something happens elsewhere, he goes and surprises everyone. This happened so many times just in the last 200 chapters, c'mon, couldn't even have the MC acknowledge what was happening.

[collapse]
I did like the novel though. Pretty decent read.

Spoiler

I wished the author did more of the "MC calling out enemies." Like when those idiot enemies just say "Brazen!" or "You're courting death!" The MC would just tell them to shut up and get on with it. He did that a couple times but it stopped towards the latter half of the story. Also wanted more of the scenes where the author mocks the typical scenes of xianxia novels: like the one where Lin Fan was fighting the Shark Ancestor and it called out the sacrificial altar and then Lin Fan just came as the god. That was definitely one of the funniest moments.

Just some overall, more mockery of the typical cultivation story would've been great. Like I mentioned, story began to take itself to seriously and just kinda killed it for me. The thing is, if the MC had more of that self-awareness of how he was repeating a typical plotline, that would've been great.

[collapse]

Better than most other cultivation stories but still ain't too great. <<less

It started off really well. I really liked it untill the author dragged the story that it all became a mess later : (there were also some plotholes that were never addressed. Really sad that such a good piece has been ruined because the author decide to drag the story to make money or something. I would personally recommand to read it untill 400 or so and dropped it as the later part is just a waste of time.

Chapter 1-449.

There have indeed some similarity to AWE but in contrary to AWE, the author of this novel is influenced by the generic settings.

Spoiler

For example, at the beginning of the novel everything is fine and funny, light hearted and everyone is beginning to recognize MC but suddenly all sects make an alliance to destroy MC's sect (the most powerful one around) because of some treasures and several potential interesting characters are betraying the sect and all MC's friends are killed.. I really think that sect's destruction is meaningless, author is trying to compensate that by hinting that there have more about sect destruction behind but I really feel that this is meaningless.

An other example is the fact that MC came almost always nick of time to save people.

[collapse]

An interesting part in the second arc is MC's strength.

Spoiler

At an certain part of the arc, MC reached the peak of the strength and we can see him showing off his strength for a long while. Albeit a bit repetitive though. Of course the peak of strength in the lower realm.

[collapse]

A thing that I hate is how author contradicts himself.

Spoiler

For example a certain got betrayed by everyone and is cold and ruthless but suddenly is moved by MC tr*sh acting.. there have many other examples

[collapse]

The thing that I hate is how MC must 'brainwash' people to resolve all problems thanks to his system.

Spoiler

For example, the school arc, the mini-arc that I hate the most probably. MC thinks he can become a teacher when he don't know how teach, of course the timing of the sect is perfect, the profession "teacher" is unlocked and he got some skills.. When he talks his 'idiot' students are enraptured and begin to cheer for their new teacher... Some bad people are whipped and suddenly are become submissive even if their cultivation base are higher (system skill)

[collapse]

Another part I hate is some terms like "pill cultivation" instead of "pill making/concocting" (he is cultivating pills..) or "XX full cultivation state" instead of "peak of XX realm/stage". This is my personal preference though.

Overall the novel is still okay, above average but lower than top novels. Just don't get your hopes too high when reading or else you will crash hard like me. MC is funny and loyal to his sect, a bit narcissist and like to show off. Don't expect 'romance' though.

Spoiler

He have a wife but honestly we don't feel he likes her, romance subplot is sh*t.

[collapse]

As for how he is 'funny'..

Spoiler

Mostly from his weird techniques.. like ball kicking, b**bs growth, gender change... and also the via--, I meant biggra, aphrodisiac pills concocted thanks to his system...

i ran out of spirit stones. Figured I’d give this a review.

This is not a novel you should take seriously. The MC becomes overpowered FAST. He is shameless beyond human comprehension. He is unreasonable to the highest degree. You think Meng Hao from ISSTH was shameless? You’ve sen nothing yet.

im not a guy that laughs out loud often, but the strongest system managed to make me do it, often.

Comedy is good and the story/plot is interesting.

But its so goddamn GAY!

The MC literally goes around fondling and snatching other peoples balls and whipping other men to teach them.

And as of 300 chapters, there is no harem. His closest relationships are bromances and the men whose balls he has fondled.

This story s**ked my Spirit Stones on Quidan dry. It's good stuff. Comedy gold.

I can't give a proper review since I'm fairly biased at this point from being so deep into the story.

Just give it a read if you like crude humor, epic OP-ness, and some minor karma.

A revenge plot, questionable situation, Lolicon? BD*M Master? And many other classification. A MC with an ability so overpowered it allows him grows beyond mortal and immortal comprehension. The MC have tendency you expect from a flawed human giving the ability to do whatever he so desires; which somehow allow us the reader to somehow relate through fantasy. The story is straightforward with less attention to detail more towards glorying the MC rise to fame through smashing enemies with overpowered, glorifying and sometimes with mischievous action.

'The Strongest System' follows the same format as most cultivation fics. The main hero has a cheat, rises up levels, swallows pills, and humiliates godlike entities.

It sets itself apart by being a shameless parody full of crude humor and innuendo. The main character is a scoundrel who avoids most typical shounen tropes by fighting only when he has something to gain, the opponent is weaker, or he just plain wants to rob them. He cultivates not only his skills and level but his reputation as a 'righteous' person, purely to... more>> impress the ladies and reap the rewards.

'The Strongest System' is hilarious and well worth a read. If I had to point out a weak point, the serious elements in the plot are often undermined by poorly timed or repetitive humor. The MC also literally never loses, which is fine from a comedy standpoint but destroys all tension. <<less

This novel, the author is also fixing all of his flaws as the story progresses. This is a comedy but the emotional moments are just as strong, I mean you get so close to these characters. Its like the shogun assassination arc in Gintama, the emotions were strong because you couldn't imagine such an outcome.

Well, it was a pretty light hearted and good read until some 800 or so chapters and then the author was not that clear and the ending felt rushed. In the end the character itself broke out of the book and created the universe as we know it and literally became an author. Well what can I say, not that great story wise, plenty of action and some intelligence. Definitely read it but to what extent depends upon you. :)

Ok, this is ridiculous, in a good way.

If you just want to laugh a little and are into some crude humor this WN is the way to go. It's a bit under-developed as far as I can see however, but since it's short read it for yourself!

I can see this WN going far, much like "I'm Really A Superstar!" in a different sense.

An extremely interesting novel, MC is an arrogant piece of sh*t who loves to bluff, although its kinda repetitive but its also funny at the same time and the MC knows no limit to cursing, id rate it 4 stars cuz I like comedy but I hate the naming sense like the "Motherf*cking human king", these kinds of names are extremely f*cked up in my opinion. I didn't like the ending either as it didn't give a proper explanation of what happened at the end, I think everyone died and... more>> MC created several new worlds and reincarnated all the characters, I just can't seem to understand. <<less

Its was fine in the first 200 chapters, quite hilarious even but as it progress it became stale.

Although you can classify this as a comedic novel that shouldn't be taken seriously. It just confusing at times, I really question whether or not to take this novel seriously.

Pros.

... more>> 1. Its funny (most of the time) especially when he was starting out.

Cons.

1. MC never grows or became mature. Rather he just goes gloomy whenever he remembers or think backs to his sect being game ended. He always plays around and never takes anything seriously, most of the time he just goes with the flow of thing taking it slow. Which is fine but here its just painful to watch like is he smart or dumb, does he care or does he not.

2. MC is the worst mater ever. He never taught his "disciples" jack. Like I get he passed he knowledge or something. But seriously he got this side job called Teacher and he never used it. What a waste

3. Too much plot armor. I get it's a system and it literary called strongest but at least give him some challenge

4. MC is weird. Like his skill and battle spells are all messed up, it was funny at first but get stale. Ball kicking, tuning someone into a women (/or something in between) and inflating t1ts, funny at first but annoying as the story progress. Again I don't understand if it was supposed to be a comedic or serious novel. He has tons of skills he learns and yet this skill (stated above) is his most OP.

5. Repetitive. MC is the same no character growth or anything. Enemies are the same. Like everyone he meets goes to room temp IQ or something.

So its 3 stars I would rank it lower but the first parts where too funny (best one imho - mother tiger and the smooth mountain, ETERNAL DONGER, various antics before his ascension). <<less
