Alright, read this in one sitting...

Ergh, started out average, but enjoyable if you enjoy leveling novels (like a vastly inferior kumo desu ga). I enjoyed the first part of the story. Things started to fall apart around Necropolis, and never recovered. With regards to side-characters, I have more of an impression of the termite queen and the adorable insect girls than most of the harem members, although said insects just disappear and the MC never thinks about them again. Romance is non-existent. Character development gets aborted constantly.

Spoiler

For instance, there's a good bit of build up for the princess (who seemed interesting and fun, with great potential), foreshadowing, and other side characters even warn the MC about her, but nothing ever comes of it, because she spontaneously disappears from the story and is never mentioned again.

[collapse]

MC's personality is a discordant mess. Very frustrating.

Spoiler

He goes from "no emotions" to "too many emotions" to "few emotions, but must kill" to "oh, you love me for no reason, so I will love and cherish you forever" for no real reason, and kind of without any real effect. Given the choice between evolving to "strong creature that gets brain washed into destroying all living things (note: everything that the MC likes is living) " or "the strongest non-god creature that is completely sane, and which would completely solve all of your problems"... he chooses the first without thinking. And then gets really surprised that it affects how he thinks. He also constantly waffles between being ridiculously overconfident (and then getting his ass beaten) and being cowardly - never learning moderation, despite being advised otherwise. Frustrating.

[collapse]

The most frustrating bit of the novel to me:

Spoiler

The MC choosing demi-lich over dragon is the single most frustrating choice he makes in the entire novel, to me, since there is literally zero thought put into it beyond "well, I turned into a lich a few days ago, might as well keep liching it up, despite being literally unable to touch my wife or friends because of it. It really sucks that I can't even touch my wife without killing her."

[collapse]

The last third is a mess. The ending is... there. It's not really an ending. Stuff happens that seems super important, then just gets discarded and never mentioned again (Leader of the Fallen? What's that?). It's the sort of ending that gets read because you've already made it so far, might as well finish.

Spoiler

The very last chunk is a main villain reappearing and then time/space teleporting away.

[collapse]

The translator did a great job.

Overall, I feel like the author wanted to write several different genres of novels (anti-hero, fantasy, sci-fi, harem, OTP), and just popped them up in succession when he ran out of inspiration for an arc. As much as I enjoy things like the quick transmigration series, this is not the same. <<less

My regret is that I can't give less than one star.

If you have read other reviews, you may have already guessed that it turned pretty bad from c60 onward.

Unfortunately, a literal su*cide. The author just swept everything clean and decided to start anew.

... more>> That s a shame.

This novel started quite dissent but gone from bad to worse as it go on.

So let's start by saying the good stuff

:

*funny, plenty of humour here and there making enjoyable to read

*Light, no heavy stuff, no big plot (no plot at all actually)

Cough cough, hum, that's it for the good stuff.

If we 're talking about what makes this novel a bad reading, there is quite a bit to talk about, but

I 'll try to keep it to the essential:

At first, it wasn't bad with a system like setting, status window and all. If I were to give a rating that would be 3-4 stars. But after a while you 'll find yourself reading the same thing over and over again. Tough opponent, luckily succeed, ranks up. And that s when the system began to fall. Usually, the system makes things easier to understand, but in this novel, it's more like "WHAT" every time the system is involved. But we'll who cares right? It's not a serious read anyway.

Great, you get over those shitty annoying stuff and decided to keep reading cause well it's not that bad.

Then you 're welcomed, after some nonsense and an obvious inexisting road plan from the author, to a very annoying MC. Well to be fair the MC started quite good: patient, cunning, lucky, smart etc. But for the author who seems to just want to write without even trying decided to use the "original idea" of the MC making a mistake to advance the story. Yes A mistake, just one, the same mistake repeated again and again. Well the first time was okay, that happens. The second time would be like "again?", third "wtf", well the forth time, you find yourself writing a review.

Well, you guys can give it a try. But there are so many novels out there and so little time. My advice pick anything in that similar list is better than this <<less

I recommend reading till ch58, anymore and it'd spoil your mood terribly. The protagonist is really really really arrogant, he's just an obnoxious ungratefull almost-mindless brat. His life is full of confict.

Spoiler

He could grind magic skill like "Magic chanting" by using it a lots, he could grind resistant skill by getting hit a lots, but somehow skill like "Identification" or "Night vision" never leveled up.

[collapse]

Spoiler

He's smart enough to build a powerfull city but he never, I mean never, learned from his defeat of being arrogant. His subordinates were very much decorations when he didn't rely on them and almost always went to battle alone.

[collapse]

Spoiler

He grew fast the time he struggled to live but he almost the same the time building his city.

[collapse]

Spoiler

He became a lich, then a demi-lich but he only used fire-based magics (4 spells) and a ice-based magic like a normal wizard ske. He always said he wanted to survive but he didn't do anything to get stronger.

[collapse]

ARGGGGG, if you want to enjoy this novel, I recommend stopping with c55; c56-58 for view from the s*aves and STOP, anymore and it'd make you rage like I'm right now. <<less

Its pretty generic but easy to read. The thing with this story is there is no depth. Maybe because it is just at the start, but things are coming too easily. Perhaps the author is going through his evolution too easily because he wants to get to the point where the plot develops and the MC can actually get a goal beside surviving.

again my recommendation is too read it, but beware that it is a bit bland/Generic. As of right now, my advice is to keep reading to see where... more>> this goes. <<less

It's quite a simple little story so far, but it's also got me hooked already.

There's no OP cheat skill here so if you're tired of that trope you're in luck, the MC actually spends DAYS leveling things but since he's a Skeleton he has no fatigue and just spams things till they're at the level he wants them to be.

Excited to see how the story unfolds.

This is one of the most aids pieces of literature to ever exist, the plot makes no sense whatsoever, side characters have the lifespan of a f*cking mayfly, introduced then tossed aside a chapter or two later, the system works according to the author's convenience, the protagonist's personality is non-existent, a toaster would have added more to this used cond*m of a novel, I very much regret every second I wasted reading this festering wound of a novel, every word made life less bearable, watching grass grow would have been... more>> more interesting.

If you value the few brain cells you have left avoid this f*cking novel at all costs. <<less

The story starts of with a great premise, great setting and a good protagonist. Everything seems to be going well, theres some hints about the plots and subplots and the characters are mostly well written. After a while, the choices of the MC become more and more unreasonable, seemingly random. Everything breaks apart and story goes into hyperdrive with a bunch of complex events and plots.

It starts out as a solid 4 to 5 stars, but quickly degrades to 1, maybe 2 stars. Kind of sad.

I regret every second I spend reading this.

The story was practically a quick note of ideas, the concept was good, but the detail and everything else was nonexistent. Leveling progress was a literal skimming, even the progress of meeting side-character, facing crisis or dilemma was fast-forwarded.

Our MC starts out as a no-feel monster, then become some dark-hero, then a maniac. It's a jumbled mess of potential MC put together as one. The plot armor and the level and stat system is too s*upid, MC could kill a dragon at early... more>> level, but struggle again the food of the dragon, in crisis got a motivation from a baby dragon (which his mother he killed), and win.

Basically, do not read this is you still have other novel on your reading list. <<less

I was really drawn into the concept of this light novel at the start. I loved the premise of this story but I felt that it suffered from some really big flaws. It's not a bad read but I started to get really confused around the chapter 100 mark. I would pass on this one unless your bored and looking for something to read in this genre.

Spoilers:

The level and strength progression was just to abrupt and exaggerated. I felt like the M.C. Really never struggled but just was O.P. And... more>> committing genocide at every turn. He would talk internally about how tough an opponent was compared to him. He would then level up and five minutes later kill 5 of that creature. I just wish there was more grinding and meaningful character building. I felt like I blinked and he was a god.

I felt like all the time jumps, universe jumps, and body swaps became almost impossible to keep track of by chapter 100. We got connected and invested in a character and then we were introduced to new characters never to hear from the former ones again. Maybe I jumped ship too soon but I just lost a desire to try and get all the facts straight.

I also felt like this story suffered from a lack of a villain or a overall purpose. He literally was motivated to get power for the sake of living freely and protecting those around him. The multitudes of baddies were motivated by selfish gains and fear of him. I just wish there was more to their motivations than just, "your too strong so it's time to die." Villains either popped up and dominated the main character or were dominated by the main character. The only exception was the female resurrectionist warrior from the beginning. She doesn't turn up again after their initial arc except to be referenced a couple of times. This felt like she was a good rival and a missed opportunity by the author unless she showed up in the last 20 chapters I didn't read.

I did appreciate the mix or science fiction and fantasy. I thought it was unique to what I have read so far as a light novel fan. Overall, a bunch of potential that I felt never had a satisfying payoff. <<less

This... was... garbage.... Some times it might've been good, but most of it was utter shit. "THE MC BECOMES GOD AND THEN BECOMES HUMAN AGAIN" After some chapters it got to the point I was forcing myself to read every single word and on the chapter 120 I couldn't take it anymore... And here's the most shittiest.. f*cking disgusting and ret*rded thing about this novel. THE f*ckING ENDING!!! Like on chapter 20 it became shit, but the ending... it goes like this!

"Oh yeah, we need to do this thing and this thing!" One chapter later "We did it! Now that thing cause someone said that thing was good and need to be done!" Two chapters later "It's done lets do another" after some chapters it's done and then the ending comes! It just blew my mind! The author just didn't know what to put as the ending so he wrote "The MC has many babies and becomes a good father with his past women."

[collapse]

I give it 1/5 stars. I would've definitely dropped this garbage, it's so time wasting, I would rather go eat sh*t than go read this. <<less

Clichée but still a pleasant read until the protagonist meets his wife. Then all other potential first heroine are forgotten in ONE chapter (meeting + wedding).

From there, the story goes down the slope :

  • Protagonist doesn't take logical decisions.
  • Author try to force the world to be against him.
  • Ennemies are too strong and since author knew the protagonist couldn't fight, plot armor comes to help him.
  • And finally, a completely different settings arrives without any foreshadowing. If I didn't check the urls of the chapters, I wouldn't know they were from the same novel.
Sincerely I couldn't continue reading at this point and I've read some really bad stories. It seems the author didn't know what to write at some point and wanted to continue the story. He should have clearly stopped at this... more>> point or rewritten some part before trying to continue. What he wrote is not just force feeding you, it's trying to feed you bullsh*t until you implode. <<less

The beginning of the story is quite good, but after ch. 60 ish just goes downhill. Especially when the title system goes crazy around chapter 100, giving out titles like pe*vert, lolicon, and studHorse in quick succession, without the MC doing anything to deserve them. I would agree with other comments that it is a great read until the end of the first major plot line, but that the later chapters aren't really worth it.

Fun read for your free time

  • Fast story progress (no needless sh*t like conversation, s*x and other useless things like daily life in every detail
  • Cold MC (the MC is pretty cold matches the story pretty well cause he is afterall a lich)
  • I think there's no drama in it it's just fun read (still chapter 40 propably someone will die in the future)
  • Necromancer MC plus a monster like lich :D
  • Op To the extreme
  • Not for xuanhuan or xianxia fanatics
  • Translation stability

This is just another poorly written novel

the premise and the general plot is interesting and I can see the potential clearly from early chapter so I give this novel a chance but the author poor execution just blew it all away, and the translation quality is not helping either

that being said it was still quite an enjoyable experience if you could ignore the detail, I would not recommend it to the general reader but if you are an RPG-monster-reincarnation sucker like me then this should be good enough to pass... more>> some time <<less

While it is a simple story, it´s definitely worth as read. The MC is reincarnated as a skeleton, but doesn't have any OP cheat. He grinds and grinds, like a true rpg hero, and has an interesting personality. Reminds me a bit of Ian from Praise the Orc.

Overall this is a good novel but the ending is horrid.
Spoiler

He goes back to a destroyed earth kils a couple random aliens fixes earth and gets sent back. But this time he goes back in time to before everything he did and is now human/ish and instead of fixing his mistakes like how any reasonable person would he abandons everything his wife his friends his allies, everyone he cared about and swapped it for a few new ones that where tr*sh compared to the old ones.

So for the most part it is a decent novel deserving about 3.5 stars but due to the ending I consider it tr*sh.

Be warned, this novel starts off really good in my opinion but it takes a turn for the worst. Half way through the book, it just throws away 90 percent of the characters you like, throws away the fantasy feel, and throws away the skeleton portion of this book.

Spoiler

it suddenly sends the main character to a f*cking sci fi space war that was so complicated and made me want to puke. And the characters that die earlier, NEVER COME BACK!

I think some of the reviews here doesn't live up to the novel.

The MC isn't as simple as people say he is, but not extremely complex either.¹

The story isn't perfectly linear, considering one of the main antagonists it makes perfect sense.²

The story doesn't care for the status quo, if you mess with the Big Bad Boss near your house at level 1 is your fault.³

Spoiler

¹ - When he was among the simple skeleton types, his emotions were suppressed by his race, after recovering his emotions his actions change and he got overwhelmed by his actions and how the earlier heroines felt about him. The character is considerably confused about his transition, but that is expected. Gwyn and Valenor were his emotional support, but the latter was on a level that he could not worry about her being killed by some random menace. Valenor always said that she would support him whatever choice he made and that got him hooked to her.

² - They mess with time and space; one of the main antagonists powers are exactly over time and space. You can expect this kind of trouble after knowing just this much. It could be out of place like others say, but the story left several plot holes initially to fill in the details as the MC unveil the mysteries of the universe.

³ - There's no such a thing as minions -> lesser bosses -> intermediary bosses -> final bosses order in an organic world. He is constantly aware of it after his earlier mistakes and try to stay out of their radar until he can cope with it.

[collapse]

The story starts simple, get more complex as it advances but if read until this point you understand that everything has or probably will be explained. I like that. <<less

The start was interesting, and I specially liked the mental breakdowns the MC has sometimes.

That said, the plot was good in the start, but it became more and more general and cliché with the passing of time.

In the last chapters the story can only be considered a summary.

... more>> The game-system is strange, and considering how the MC levels it make one wonder why there are so few high-levels.

His power is simply broken. He does not have a special skill or anything, but he is the only one in the story that can use a fireball like a bomb without explanation, the skill he received by the sage is even more broken, and he abuse it too much <<less

Pretty Mediocre story tbh. Everything is so bland and there's not really any buildup to the events that take place. Its like reading a log of the actions of an adventurer. Nothing special about this at all, translator did a great job but this story is just meh
