C145. Was looking for cultivation novels to read. This one HAS cultivation but in the more than 100 chapters I’ve read so far, the focus has mainly been on face-slapping. What’s awkward is that there’s no tension at all. The FL, ML, and the little kiddo are all very OP. They’re just playing around with the people around them. Like, with a word, they can settle everything, but they just don’t? That makes the development very frustrating, though if you’re looking for that kind of easy, no suspense development, I... more>> guess you would enjoy this novel more than me.

SUMMARY — The FL is an alchemist from a more advanced cultivation world that ended up transmigrating into the body of Bai Yan, the eldest daughter of a minister. When she came to? The original owner was being plotted against by her half-sister, Bai Ruo. At that point, she had already been poisoned with a strong aphrodisiac, and she only had time to escape from the ugly man that her sister arranged before she was forced to find another man to sate her lust.

She never did find out who the person she forced was. All she knew was that they got caught, she ran, and then later, she was pregnant. When the people of the Bai house found out about it, they wanted to sell her off to be an old man’s concubine, so she ran away with her little kid and hid in some obscure island, waiting to grow stronger so that she can take her revenge.

(As for the ML, his name is Di Cang. He’s a demon fox with a very superior background. He travelled to the human realm just in time to be forced by the FL to be her child’s father lolol. Apparently, there’s a prophecy that he can only have a son with his destined wife. As far as his personality goes, he’s your typical overbearing ML. Possessive and jealous. Very tyrannical. Good point - short, adventure, hero, evil villain, and slice of life.
Bad point - There is no action. Why no action of fighting if they going level their martial art higher without fighting. Like what the point. It started at chp 900 with action. Which kind long and late. MC is cheating her way up to up grade her martial art level. Also you don't know where the story going

I like it but what main purpose of the story I think is MC want become stronger than her husband.

It cannot be compare to other novel here The King of Hell's Genius Pampered Wife. That one is more adventure.

The only part I don't like beside not much action is the Demon King. How can you kill the whole clan. Even his fox clan he kill, too. Just for a wife. Wife doesn't care. What those innocent people.

i've gotten up to 904 and its not too bad so far. There are some parts where I got annoyed, pissed off, a little bit sad and sometimes I just wanted people to die.

But there are some parts that just don't make sense to me. Like some part in the story the ML just forces a contract on her, so that means if he dies she dies, but cause he's more powerful then her, if she dies he doesn't and she doesn't even get angry. Like WTF, he didn't even ask, he literally FORCED a life and death contract on her and she can't even stay angry for half a chapter? She just accepts it? That completely pissed me off. And bro, ML, if she don't want you, she don't want you. Stop forcing yourself on her, I mean I get that they were together in their previous life, but they don't even remember. But I do like how the MC starts remembering the past before the ML and I absolutely love the kid. Yea it's a bit weird how he's only 5-7 and is so cunning but I love how he uses that strength to protect his mother.

Overall, the story has it's good and bad parts. It's pretty easy to read. 4 stars.

The novel isn't exactly unique but what really shines is the way the characters interact with each other. When the MC talks to her family or friends is when you will have the most fun. That alone kept me going until chapter 654. However...

The first villains feel somewhat interesting and well-written, but that only lasts for so long. The crown prince sticks around for far too long and each following villain is just a watered-down version of the first ones.

After the crown prince, every single villain you find is just... more>> interested in either stealing away the ML or in making MC a concubine or, even worse, a s*ave. All villains end up falling in one of the two categories and plenty of times you'll find two villains at the same time to have both types showing up together.

The ML does change and starts to care about MC, but the speed at which this happens is rather slow and, until then, he's a rather frustrating character. A good amount of situations are only created due to misunderstandings and only one of those was for a reason other than the way ML talks to MC.

Once they're in the Demon Realm the writing takes a nosedive since there's no real point to it other than setting up (again) hints about the MC, her contracted beasts and ML. Other than that, it's a good hundred chapters that serve no purpose whatsoever other than having more cannon fodder villains and creating more misunderstandings.

Eventually, MC leaves the Demon Realm and the story pretty much starts over. For some people that might be interesting, since the story goes back to its good points from the first 600 chapters. However, I just find it a waste of time since you can clearly see the writing on the wall. There are a bit under 2000 chapters to go and we've already had to go through so many misunderstandings and bland villains in only 600 chapters so one can only imagine how many more times will it keep getting repeated.

I leave it at 3 simply because of how enjoyable it was to see the personality of the characters shine through, but as of chapter 654 I'm dropping the novel because I only expect to see the exact same thing getting repeated many more times but with lower quality. <<less

Enjoy child and mother duo, good kill time story.

Con: standard idiot antagonist, very ret*rded bunch of fool who thinks one ideal dimension view have no flaw, believe whatever that say or do will always be right and will absolutely the one true of everything. Every one else have no opinion and there's no such thing as consequences because I always know what I did was not wrong. They share these traits and repeated very antagonist new or old are these tard.

I would pay 5 to 10 dollars for the first 1002 chapters. Why?

Because each chapter published, reads like the setting, the action or the resolution for an actual chapter. For instance, this current action of the dad attempting to rob the son; it took about two chapters to set up the setting, about two to get the action going, and another two to reach resolution.

As for the plot, it differs from the more action oriented books, with more of a focus on social and political moves and less of a... more>> focus on mu*der. Outside of that, it has started to be a bit repeative, with the plot reaching a predictable solution.

Translation is so, so. Some sentences lack a subject, and others lack a predicate. Misspellings emerge every so often.

It is an alright read. <<less
