Like all the rest I loved this story, it's simple yet still tugs the heartstrings.

There have been lots of reviews on this already so I'll keep mine short and simple.

If you still have doubts weather you'll like this story or not after seeing the ratings and tags, just read the first chapter and make your decision after that. The first chapter is rather indicative of what is to come and the writing stile stays consistent throughout this story.

Nice story and heartwarming situations.

Sansheng's and Moxi's story is definitely a must read.

Love can really be felt and understood from their actions.

The translation is not perfect, but it is fairly good. In fact I believe it is very well done considering the context of many situations that were written in the novel.

Thankyou author for writing such a beautiful novel.

I also appreciate very much the work done by the translator. Thank you for making it possible for me to read such a cute novel.

It was a cute read. But I couldn't get over how she raised him in those lifetimes so it felt a bit in*est. I mean, she is his mother figure and nurtured him!

This made me cry a bit especially the fist bonus story. But I loved it! I don't know why I never read it before but it's such a cute little story to read. Only less than 20 chapters but the feels are real!! I'm so glad this didn't end a tragedy. I love Sansheng and Moxi so much. Every lifetime ends in a tragedy so prepare your heart (though you'll probably cry anyways). The ending was really satisfying. Though I was sighing for a while after I read it.

I... more>> read seven unfortunate lifetimes and I think I might like this one more. Just my heart.....

This stories not a tragedy and everythings a trial but I was emotionally attached to all their incarnations and it hurt to let them go.

The endings happy though, don't let a few tears stop you. <<less

A short story which is entertaining, sad, sweet, and makes one smile at the end, and maybe grinning for a long time for me. The story is about romance of a spirit from underworld and a god living in heaven. The first time they met, the protagonist act is so hilarious and the ML reaction also quite fun to see. She is too blunt! XD

I love their journey in human world. Its variation that makes me attached to their story and the author really did a good job on the... more>> plot. All in all, its a nice and fun ride. :) <<less

Beautifully done!

It's so good and refreshing.

It's pretty simple. But the romance could fill your heart to the brim!

It's sometimes tragic but that's what makes me painfully love it.

This novel is one of my favorites.

Absolutely adorable and well worth the read. Since it's short and completed, you can get through it in two days or less. The ending is great. And then the extra 3 chapters make it even better. Kudos to the translator/editor as well. One of the best jobs I've seen so far, extremely smooth with minimal need for notes to explain anything. Great read all around!

So I read the first chapter and dropped it immediately after seeing how the female MC acted front of ML (cringe). But then I came back to it later (because I ran out of novels to read) and it honestly surprised me. It was pretty good. The story didn't feel fast paced to me even though there's not many chapters. I thought the female lead was going to be this overly cringe character that puts herself in really pathetic/embarrassing situations for the ML but that wasn't the case at all.... more>> I mean she is pretty obsessed with him but it felt right. Probably because the male lead also loves her. <<less

i am thankful for reviewers and translators. This story is short and very sweet, a stone spirit who is able to gain the love of the mighty god. She is spunky and willing to pursue for the ML.

i like it and it is a worthwhile binge reading but I prefer Seven Unfortunate Lifetimes more.

I had skipped this story over for some time now because I didn't find the synopsis very interesting. I'm glad I finally got around to reading it. It's a short quick story about their romance encounters within 3 lifetimes.

You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll be finished in an hour or so. The characters are entertaining. The plot and settings are interesting. The translation is high quality. I really enjoyed this and will read it more than once. If you're looking for something you can read in one setting, this is a good one. Make sure to have some tissues though, just in case. Especially the 1st extra story. Maybe it's just me, but that one really hit me in kokoro this morning.

I wish there were partial star options. This... more>> is worth more than 4 in my opinion, but I would like to save 5 stars for stories that really go above and beyond. However, I'm not too unhappy to give this 5 :) <<less

This is one of the stories I would not hesitate to recommend! I really don't like the Epilogue, but upon reading the bonus chapters, I've considered them the true end and my heart is appeased! Really, they are more than enough and wrapped up the whole story quite nicely.

tl;dr It's a feel-good story with cute characters and an equally cute romance.

Now, let's get on with the specifics...

First and foremost, I love the protagonist, the MC. She's smart, loyal, and really funny! There's really nothing to hate about her. She'd been... more>> a great companion and support to ML in his tribulations. While at first, you may consider her naïve for falling so easily, and to top it off just because ML happened to be the most peerless handsome young man MC had seen! However! Once you get to know her, you can't help but just fall in love with her and her personality, and praise her for her devotion for ML. She's sound with her reasoning. Whatever she did and decided upon was really for the ML's sake, that you can't help but think twice if she had indeed just liked him, or still like him only because he's handsome. What once might've started with naïve affections, you can see it develop into something more.

On the other hand, there's also nothing to hate about ML too, especially once you've read the whole story and the things he'd gone through for MC. Yes, while at first, you might hint that his interest for MC was just because of her interesting personality, of her being blunt and might've not even thought much about it. Still! After going through 3 lifetimes and having witnessed and remembered the things MC did for him, you can notice the gradual change of his feelings for MC. And even in the end, the things he did did not fall short from my expectations of him!

For me, they are a perfect couple. No wonder some of them comments here considered them as their OTP. The story might be short, but the romance was nicely developed.

Anyway, with that, I have no complaints about the story. I even laud the author for finishing a story of three lifetimes within 19 chapters, and detail them accordingly too! Each lifetime will give you a bittersweet kinda feeling -- but the kind of bittersweet you wouldn't hate, just enough to tug on your heartstrings and remain on you for quite some time.

Overall, it's a really good read. A good recommendation. Plus, the translators were really awesome too. They were the same translators who worked on with Mei Gongqing, and even while I was still following that story, I had no complaints against their work! My seamless reading and me being able to fully appreciate this work can be attributed to them too! So, may thanks. <<less

I've read this twice now, and both times I cried throughout (in a good way). The sincerity between the leads, as well as their mutual support and consideration for each other is so heart-touching. I have never read another story with such an affable, straight-forward, yet intelligent female MC. Truthfully, I don't think I will in the future either. Sansheng is just special that way. The author's use of offhand details to illustrate the setting is so masterful I highly recommend re-reading it. The readers are rarely spoon fed information.... more>> Instead, you need to pay attention to fully understand why things are happening. The second time around I caught more details that explained the motivations of the characters, especially the male lead. <<less

Finished the story and thought it was okay. Was gonna give a 3, but decided not too (check reasons in spoilers). The main girl's personalty appeared scary at first, but as the story progressed her character grew on me.
Spoiler

While reading the story I thought the main guy loved her less than she did towards him because he always appeared cold during the time they met each time after reincarnation, but when the Bonus stories came out we got to know Moxi's point of view. That's when we got to really know about him and that his feelings were actually real and not just out of no where. Through time, as a mortal and immortal he started to love her more and more. I liked that she stayed true to her personality, but it was sometimes scary when she had such weird thoughts towards the Moxi child version. I was like, "Uhh, you know he's still a child right?!" But then, you can't really blame her since she only saw the "Adult" Moxi always in the child Moxi. I also wished the author explained Moxi's point of view for the 2nd life time. That life time was the most confusing one out the rest. It appeared that he loved her, but it also didn't appear like he didn't. So I was always confused and wanted to know about his emotions and thoughts during that life time. Anyways, the ending (last bonus story) was satisfying but also confusing. It was confusing because I read this part “Moxi, I’m trying to wheedle you!” then “C’mon! Let’s go see Siming.” and was like, "what?!" Then a thought came to my mind and thought "Oh, I guess she still doesn't know how to use the correct words to praise people". XD

[collapse]

All in all, fun short read. I wouldn't really put too much hope on the romance (from chapter 1 to 15) because it felt a bit lacking due to the story only being 15 chapters, but the bonus chapters make up for the missing emotions that couldn't be told told from the Male lead's point of view from the main story. On a sidenote, I really like Chang'An even though he was just a little side character. Wished the author gave a little side story about him and his trials as well. He was such a cutie. :'D

Also, if you read "Seven Unfortunate Lifetimes, All Thanks to a Single Moment of Impulse" you'll want to read this story too. Different personalities in female leads and different circumstances that caused them both to go reincarnate, but the romance is cute in both stories. ♥

The best romance story I ever read. The summary doesn't do the justice because the story is far more interesting. It's funny but also touching, and the most important is it ends with happy ending.

Stop reading the reviews and start reading this novel. Though it's short, it is full of emotion. The basic idea of the plot is that of a deity coming to love a stone through 3 lifetimes not much to say there but the way the romance was intertwined within the story was amazing. It is a beautiful story is full of moments that make you cry out of joy and cry out of sadness.

I don't have the words to express how heart-warming this story even is.

This is such a beautiful short romance story.

The love female MC has for male MC is so strong and unconditional, it made me cry reading their three lifetime stories. And he does too. The trials they experienced deepen their bond. Beside romance, the comedies are good too.

It's a happy ending for anyone who doesn't want to read tragedy, you can safely read this. :)

I loved this story. Originally, I was a little apprehensive about this because of the summary. I mean, a stone and a god falling in love...I wish the summary explained it in a little more detail so I would have gotten to reading this sooner. This, by far, is the best romance novel I have read in my opinion. I nearly cried by reading this all in one go and I wouldn't cry usually even if I watched a puppy die right in front of me. That's how much this... more>> novel gets to you.
Spoiler

The better parts of this is the fact that we get to see from the girl's point of view, or Sancheng. It really just made the whole thing better because we get to see from her perspective which is different than a human's. She's a stone that's been cultivating for a thousand years that is still learning how to love. In contrast to her godly perspective and slight naivety with emotions, we get to see Moxi be completely human and develop feelings of a human on his own. This creates a contrast because each time they are reborn, they fall in love again, but each time in a different way yet Sancheng is still the same because she still retains her memories while Moxi is a clean slate each time.

Not only does the unique perspective keep you enthralled and laughing, each time they reincarnate just yanks your heart out and tears it in two. The tragedy of each death just makes you cry because while reading this, you just can't help but fall in love with their budding romance. Even though they only had 3 lives, they fell deeply in love in each one of them and then one of them died a tragic death for the other each time. Such bitter sweet ends just kills both of them and the readers. These tear jerking tragedies just f*ck with you till the end because they just go back to reincarnating again and meeting again and then falling in love with each other again and finally dying again. Seriously, this is hard to read in one go, but that's the best way to do it because the impact of the drama and tragedy is one of the best parts of this.

The only other feeling other then absolute sadness, rage, laughter, and cuteness you will get in this, will only come at the very end in the 3rd bonus story. It's basically the after story of how Moxi and Sancheng get together and are living together in heaven. Sancheng as a plum flower fairy, which is by the way the fairy of their favorite flower, and Moxi as the God of War once again. They are married and still a lovey dovey couple that just makes you completely content with all the bullsh*t that happen during their 3 lifetimes.
