This one wasn't for me. I skipped a lot of arcs and didn't even finish the novel.

Spoiler

there's absolutely no schemings or suspense. The MC has all those super powers that made her able to solve the word's problem immediately. She's a teenager who can fly on a sword and kidnap people and uss bombs without restraint. She's too much OC and it doesn't even go with the host or the word.

[collapse]

Spoiler

The romace disappointed me... A LoT. I'm a fan of doting ML who can do anything for MC. ML doesn't give a sh** about her. And she keeps following him because of the quests. He only start to care at ths very end of the arc and the romance is not even that developed. I mean... you can't feel they like each other.

The MC is too lame.

She's just so lame.

She's also hated most of the time.

She also suffers a lot.

It's not very cool.

It made me somewhat disappointed and I also don't really care about what happens to anyone besides the MC.

The novel has too much about other people and too little about the MC.

I didn't like it, and also don't recommend it.

The story is entertaining, but the author, finding success with their formula, never strives to change it.

The story follows Shi Sheng, an extremely willful woman who is forced into a quick transmigration system/narrative. The quirk, though, is that she is much too competent and powerful to really be tied down by the system. And so, SS simply does whatever she pleases in the worlds she visits. Readers are presented with familiar quick transmigration tropes: fated individuals, cannon fodder, face slapping, etc.

The presentation is what sets this story apart. SS simply... more>> doesn't care very much how things turn out, content with being left alone. However, the other characters act out their own insane melodramas, and peg her as another participant - coming up with perceived slights and schemes left and right. Once they cross her bottom line, she just starts wrecking sh*t up in a completely overbearing fashion, and never in the way the others expect. It's hilarious.

There's also a B plot where she picks up a cold tsundere lover that follows her through the worlds without remembering anything. It's refreshing in that the gender roles in their relationship is flipped, but then again, they're essentially the only two characters for which this is true. Everyone else falls under the same tired archetypes we've seen everywhere else, so this is more or less a gimmick (if anyone was expecting a feminist slant).

So yes, this is quite entertaining, but though the setting changes often, it does become repetitive. SS doesn't change/grow, and there isn't really an overarching storyline or mystery to tackle. Just enjoy the romp. <<less

Do you like face slapping?

Do you like watching all those cliches have their plot break?

Do you like watching the Mary and Jack sues meet their doom!?

... more>> Well you've come to the right place! The protagonist, as a self proclaimed step mother author, hates the other leads in all those worlds to the point where their halos are smashed and luck is thrown into the gutter!

Go to hell plot armor! This protagonist will slice you up with her sword of righteousness! Or was it iron sword... or god slayer??? Ghost hunter???

Anyways, the protagonist doesn't give any f*cks and just messes everything up to fit her preferences much to the system's dismay.

However, this story isn't without its flaws nor questions.

For example, the romance build up between the protagonist and her love interest seems a bit forced due to the time jumps and one sentence explanations after the main missions are completed. Plus, some worlds the protagonist goes to seems like filler in between episodes and doesn't make any sense. (Or am I just missing some hidden secrets idk there's only 330 chapters out).

Now my question...

Who the heck is the protagonist???

That's it.

Fun story to read to past time and leaves you wanting more especially when the supposed female lead and make lead become cannon fodder instead. But some worlds just leave you going "huh? That's it?" But because of the protagonists actions it really fits with her personality so what can I say. She's a real domineering CEO. It's even more funny that she's more of a male lead than her male lead.

That aside, the main plot will take a while to arrive considering the 2000 chapters of the whole novel. The readers only get a few snippets of the truth which is also a reason to get hooked. <<less

Story in one word: Whimsical

1. The MC is op. I mean very overpowered. As in COMPLETELY OVERPOWERED. Important things need to be said thrice! The MC is talented in literally everything she does, with no explanation for how/why she is suddenly so multi-talented, but I guess that's the definition of a plot armor, which I don't mind. Oh, I forgot to mention, the MC also have some sorta magical space where she can pull out a cultivation sword or thunder bolts from, which I find absolutely hilarious when she throws... more>> out thunderbolts in a modern world.

2. Don't look for romance in this novel. You won't find it, and even if you do, you'll be somewhat disappointed by the MC's reaction. Even though there is a ML, the MC is not the type to randomly fall in love with a man when she knows that she'll need to move from world to world with a high chance of never meeting the man again. The MC's focus is not on romance, she's never even thought of romance, in fact, she's happily living the single dog life, so romance can go f*ck itself. Reading this novel without any expectation for romance is the best way to go.

3. As ridiculous as the MC may seem from her actions, I actually find it very rational. From my perspective, the MC knows that each world she goes to is just some sorta data or unknown dimension, which means she can do whatever she wants without a care for real-world consequences. Even if the MC dies, she'll just return back to the system space, lose some points or whatever, and then get transferred to another world, so why not have some fun while she's traveling from world to world? Go bomb some big famous cultivation sect, go hack into the government treasury, and while she's at it, might as well have fun flirting with CEOs and dabble in the entertainment industry. Honestly, this MC is totally me. If I ever have a system that allows me to travel to worlds, I'll just fulfill my missions and then do whatever the hell I please to pass the time because... why not? When you're at that point where even death doesn't faze you cause you know that you'll just be revived again later, there's really no point in trying to constrain yourself to the current societal standards. Act as shameless and lawless as you want!

4. Plot and character development is minimal. So far, the MC is just enjoying her time with her missions while playing around in each world. There is no drama, no challenge, and minimal romance, just an op MC wrecking havoc in each world she goes to, which is totally fine by me. Some readers may find this type of story redundant, bland, boring, etc. so I don't recommend this novel for those looking for a strong/solid plot or character development, because this story is literally everywhere with the MC throwing grenades and swinging swords. Basically, the MC is very whimsical.

5. The MC can be friends or foes with the so-called main protagonists in each of the world she goes to, which is a little refreshing compared to some novels where the MC needs to go against the main protagonists in every single world.

Overall, I am enjoying this novel very much and am eagerly waiting for more releases! <<less

I can really say that this novel is worth it if you find yourselves wanting something dark, humorous and edgy theme.

If you intend to read this just finish it by arc before restoring yourself to another, bc the MC character just kind of change a little bit, a tiny bit in each new arc.

There is some arc that I like and some that are not. At least at this point where I'm reading there seems no intense development in romance and

This is basically a multi-verse transmigration story with a female lead transfer into a side character in each of the story. Each of the story consists of 50-80 chapters in that world and then it moves on to the next.

Spoiler

Expect our FL is the Mary Sue who likes to break apart official couples in every story while doing missions by a System which oversee the transmigration procedure. Many things that can be found in regular transmigration stories are in here and their reverse tropes as well. It is a fun experience to see tropes getting called out and dismissed in this story.

As the story goes on with more worlds to see, we are seeing more and more about our FL pasts, ML potential and her 'play-mate'. But please be aware that it is very slow at the beginning and only pick up its pace later on.

One minus points for this story is that the repeat of story archetypes since its pans out in multiverse transmigration.

All and all, it is a light read for each volume with funny stuffs here and there, probably suitable for a journey with not much to weigh in mind.

[collapse]

This is a spoiler regarding the First Arc. Thanks to SASA who summed it up for us.??

Spoiler

So FL went back to school and ended up in the same room as the Green Tea bit*h and her friends. In this dorm only GTB know that the FL is actually a rich person, her friend doesn't. So when they saw her being pick up by a Porche [Chu Tang] they called her a money digger [Hello the GTB is not?]. One incident happened where they accused FL pushing the GTB, and the teacher/warden also believed the GTB and decided to punish the FL, then the FL coolly said that she wanted to see the director, but the teacher/warden denied her request that the FL ended up calling her own lawyer when the director quickly came around and punished GTB and her clique instead.

So as someone spoiled previously, GTB and FL attended a party where the GTB meant to give drugged wine to FL and left her in compromising situation, however FL switched the drink and instead the GTB was the one who caught in a compromising situation with the Protoganist [M2]. Despite everything the Protoganist [M1] and Protoganist [M2] still believe in FL and decided to kidnap FL. They brought FL to isolated villa, however, FL took out the grenade and blowed the house instead as she jump down from there. This resulting in Protagonist [M2] having a serious injury on his leg.

Protagonist [M2] tried to seek revenge on FL by destroying FL's family company, however, unexpectedly, the secret transaction of his own company got revealed [through hacking] to the public and his company is slowly deteriorated which later was taken over by his uncle. Protagonist [M2] disappeared as he found out that he did not have the wealth or the mean to take GTB from Protagonist [M1] hand.

Protagonist [M1] also tried to take revenge only to find out that, his father had an illegitimate son with her most beloved woman and this son was competing with him for the position in the company. Protagonist [M1] was furious that he ended up abusing GTB which lead to a vicious circle between the both of them [Hence the tragedy tag I guess]

On side note, the system was confused since the body scan indicated that the FL or even the body she possessed did not have any abilities to operate a grenade or hacked a computer, however, the FL did not give any explanation on it.

Chu Tang [The hidden character which I assumed the ML] promised to FL that he will marry her if she managed to turn over a profit of a one-tenth of the capital of his own company within 3 years and she managed to do so which lead to their marriage. They did get married though no child [ML did not touch her. Their relationship was very pure] and once ML died [at old age if I am not mistaken] the FL also come back to the space. During this time, the system make another deep scan on the FL body to characterize her abilities [ This contribute to the synopsis where the system is puzzle over the weird occurrences around the FL] and told her that the hidden mission [To make ML fall in love with her] was only 60% complete, which lead to her point being half deducted.

In the next arc, FL seemed to be an actress in a period drama

So I've finished all 2040 chapters of this book and was so in love with the protagonist to the point that I decided I had to share her with non-Chinese readers.

[Edit] A reply to crimsoniv0j: I think whoever told you that trolled you. It literally says in the Author's Note of the first chapter of the second arc that Chu Tang IS the male lead. He just changes names and identities.

I dont understand how, being done with the second world already, and with the ML two times, in the translator page there are people liking the couple.

It Is Not A Couple.

In both words she literally hates him (and he reciprocates), and is only forced to be with him to finish her assigment.

... more>> And the r*pe, hello??? Did the world FL need to be r*ped each and every time????

I cant, just finished the second arc and am dropping it in my "foul list", to not he read again.

My recomendation: there are not only one or two bad reviews here, be your own judge. But if one reads something one time and another, at the end, it influences your own thoughts. <<less

It's a great story really! What I love is the consistency of her character and her abilities, how amazing the action scenes are written, the plot of those worlds and how varied the side characters are. She is s*upidly OP but I like that her backstory (last arc) explains how she became so OP and why she is so mean.

I'm glad that her abilities aren't just abilities that the body she's taking over already had + her own skills, she can't just magically become the best at this skill or... more>> that skill (e.g. Acting, painting, drawing), and so she just makes do with what she already has. So despite being very OP and game-breaking, she's not Mary Sue-like at all. Sometimes even her skills aren't enough to easily defeat the main leads of those worlds because of their halo.

If you're looking for romance or face-slapping, look somewhere else. While those things are in the story, it's not really the main focus. What this story does best is breaking your preconceptions of what stories of this genre are like. There are fighting and action scenes aplenty, and she doesn't always win : (

Her desire to complete tasks is basically non-existent, she'll avoid any side quests if possible, which gets really infuriating if you wanted to know more about certain characters of the world, and she's not really be fussed about gaining a super high position (despite her conceited personality) or being absolved of all the things she's being framed for (because to her, those worlds aren't real, so why should she work harder than she should have to?). My favorite arc is the first zombie arc, or really any arc where she becomes the reluctant ruler/leader of a very powerful organization/nation/group because you can see her journey as she climbs to the top through violence and coercion.

The main pairing is the definition of girlboss x malewife. She is girlbossing her way through all the worlds, staying true to her character all throughout and never compromising even a bit. The ML is kinda boring, I don't really have an impression of him actually because he sometimes feels more like an accessory, sometimes he's just tacked on near the end of the world and many times he's completely irrelevant. I actually thought their relationship was a lot more fun to read about when she still didn't really love him, after a few worlds where she kinda "falls" for him it's just "try to pamper him if his character suits her". I don't really know if she actually loves him or just likes to have a character she can dote on and gaze at, her reason for loving him is really just because he is "Feng Ci", nothing else??? Which is the one thing I'm confused about, given her rational character. Or maybe it's because he sacrificed himself for her in one of the worlds but it still feels strange with how abrasive she usually is.

Dropping 1 star because my blood pressure really rose upreading some of the MC's words and actions (If I were an anime character, I would've coughed up blood at how 'no shits given' she is, Mu Bai also gives me heart palpitations at how pissed off I become whenever I'm reading about him just offing himself as soon as he's caught).

The translations are ok, although the second translation group sometimes leaves Chinese text on the page.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, MC is cringe and edgy. She is so edgy, she can cut the air with her edginess. Even the characters mention how her edginess is really juvenile, it's hard to take her seriously. <<less

This novel was a breath of fresh air for me. Its really frustrating sometimes reading novels about the FL planning step by step to take down her enemies and then FINALLY achieving her goal at the END. The FL here just used the best straight forward way to deal with everything. It was very satisfying to read.

I loved the FL. She is very different. She doesn't care about anything and just does whatever she likes to complete the tasks given by the system. She doesn't care about the system either.... more>> Basically she does whatever she wants and does the system tasks only if she doesn't find it too annoying and it doesn't cross her bottom line, else to hell with the system and its tasks, she doesn't give a f*ck.

I loved her way of doing things very straight forward. Basically if the task was to make the ML give her 5 million, she will earn it herself and give it to the ML to give it to her and be done with the task. She lives by the rules of "tit for tat". If someone helps her, she helps them in return, if someone hurts or schemes against her, she will take them down savagely. She also loves using her sword for every thing she finds annoying.

Emperor: Impudent, kneel down right down!!!

MC : where is my sword? I am going to hack him to death.

Zombie : raw raw

MC: where is my sword? I am going to hack it to death.

Ghost : ooooo..

MC: where is my sword? I am going to hack it to death.

Initially she is very cold without any feelings but she changes little by little during the different arcs. She starts liking the ML after the third arc and comes to know he might be present in the future arcs to so she keeps searching for him. If he is not then she completes her tasks and leaves the world else she will live with him until the end.

The novel is also violent if you look it at a different perspective, but I loved the FL way too much so I blatantly ignored it. If it bothers you too much I guess you wont like this novel. So this depends on the perspective, dont be influenced by positive and negative ratings. Give it a try and decide things for yourself. <<less

Writing is very simple and there is little cohesion between the layout of the world and what MC chooses to do it in. It feels like she's doing whatever she likes and because she is just so op or has a golden thigh to rely on, we don't actually get to understand how she is able to do this most of the time. Honestly, without the system, there is little difference between her and a normal MC you'd find in most amateur Chinese web novels.

I think for most people, the... more>> aspect that would draw them in the most is the face slapping as well as the humor. For me, humor is very predictable. I've yet to even smile at a single use of humor by the author. Are my standards too high? Maybe. But I think the reason for this is because most of the humor is either set in very predictable situations, or spontaneously put into more serious situations where it doesn't fit at all.

As for the face slapping. It only feels good when it's a turnaround. There is very little tension, probably because of the way author writes, for there to be any doubt that MC would lose to other parties. So when she puts her enemies in their place, I don't feel any sense of victory. Her counters are not good people, they are set up to be despicable so that we can easily hate them and relish in our MC. If you like world building and complexity, I don't think this story is for you. If you're just in it for some quick and easy fun, it could be. <<less

I've read a lot of quick transmigration novels, and by a lot practically most of the BG transmigration novels that can be found in this site. I love this genre. It's fun uwu

Anyhow, with that experience and the other reviews taken to mind, I can say this story has a rather different and risky approach to transmigration stories. And by risky, it's not something a lot of people can stomach if you're looking for fluffy romance transmigration stories. This story is... surprisingly not entirely black or white. It's rather gray,... more>> with a mix of justice and villainy on the MC's side. She's not entirely good even though she's supposed to be. I'd say she's more on the villain side actually.

The MC is an anti-hero. Keep that in mind before you read this story. The MC is not one for justice, and it's been said several times now in the story that she probably has something against society. She loves to wreck havoc, and many times the people in the worlds she just left expressed happiness that she finally passed away. That pretty much says something about the MC's cruelty. Also, her stats even said she has -100k+ morality points and still decreasing. And some of her missions are even rated with F. If you're looking for a good girl MC, this is not the story.

Imagine a very logical person who's also blunt enough to say that logic to people's faces, who's also very familiar with plot clichés and ridicules them, and is absolutely shameless, even to her own ML. That is this MC. She has no qualms about using cheats and even hacks (in the online game world. Speaking of that, that world is my fave so far. It's hilarious. Though the ending is kinda danggit) for her own gain.

That said, is this a bad story? Hard to say. It can be good to some and bad for the other. I can say though that to read this, you have to remember that this is only a fictional story and not real. There exists some cruel scenarios that would make you question the MC's morality, but thing is she does lack morality. In fact, it seems that her lack of morality has something to do with the reason why she was brought to this transmigration thingy in the first place, though as you can see from my reading progress I have yet to reach that far.

Then why would I read this story? What makes it good enough to try reading? This story, as said before, has a different take on transmigration stories. And it's not just about the MC. Surprisingly, the side characters have life to them. You might even find that in some worlds, the MC's friends or other side characters are far more interesting than the ML himself. Even the target FLs and MLs are not all pure evil like other transmigration stories usually wrote. In one world, the target ML was innocent and didn't receive a tragic ending by the time the arc ended. It was bittersweet, but it was probably the best ending he could receive after all that happened. In another world, the target FL became the MC's friend. And this doesn't just happen once or twice. Hell, in one world the MC's ML actually died and caused the MC to grief for once. Basically, the arcs' plots are rather unpredictable, and even with how OP the MC is, sometimes the target FL and ML's plot armor are still stronger than hers.

And the MC is not just about cruelty. Her shamelessness and logical thinking makes for a lot of hilarious scenes, some that you might even have wished actually happened in other stories. It's pure gold. Some arcs would make you laugh, some would make you wince and squirm from discomfort, and others coo from how cute the MC's ML is, or make you heavily ship the target FL/ML with a side character and rejoice that they became real. It's a roller coaster of emotions.

How about the romance between the MC and her ML? Well, it's there. There is indeed romance between the MC and her ML, but it doesn't happen instantly.
Spoiler

I'm pretty sure that the first few worlds' MLs aren't her ML either. And after meeting her real ML, it took another few worlds for them to reunite again.

[collapse]

And why did I rate this story 4 stars? Well, simply because the story's too long. I personally think the author could've just kept it at 1000 chapters or so to deliver the entire content. It'd be fine if the author managed to keep all the arcs interesting, but since I haven't actually finished reading the entire thing, I think 4 stars is a safe enough rating. <<less

Wow 600+ chapters and I still haven't left a review yet? Damn.

I honestly don't have anything bad to say although there is one arc that I'm a little disappointed, I kinda shipped a major character from one arc to the MC knowing full well that he is not the ML. It's bound to sink I know but he was hilariously cute I couldn't help shipping him. There's nothing wrong with the male lead, he's adorable at times and the chemistry between him and the MC is great. I continued reading... more>> because of the plot and the MC both are equally entertaining and hilarious I can't help but anticipate what will happen next.

The story for each arc are all amazing but they're some that just tops the others. I particularly like the gaming, apocalypse, and some ancient and cultivation arcs. <<less

I like the book, it's a great read, the FL is not typical. It opens your eyes to a lot of things actually concerning other books. Some reviews I saw made it seem like she is depending on a man but that's not true, the FL is op, self-centred and only cares about her man. What's wrong with that?

Nothing!

She does not get best up and suddenly is saved but her mo, nope she does it herself, she does not hold back or play any mind games. Her development is sound,... more>> not unbelievably so but good enough for this type of story.

The author did a good job so far except for one or two arcs. Some simply cut off, some made no sense whatsoever just random stuff compiled into one, that's annoying but other than that it was great!

I hope to see the ending in the next eight years but I doubt.

Lol.

I can't wait that long but those who can it is an enjoyable read. <<less

The story is very interesting. MC is hilarious! The arcs are also very interesting.

My only complaint is about translation. The first translator is very good, makes the story fun to read. But the second translator.... makes it very boring to read. It took all the fun out of reading, making it very plain. Dropped the book for now... don't know if I will read it in future.

I mean...I don't even know with this novel lol. I love the fact that she isn't weak when it comes to love... but it gets a little too repetitive on how easily she could just jump in smash heaven and earth better than Hulk, and happily ol happily carries on.

Spoiler

Although reaching 600 and finally there's actually challenge for her, amen... the change is slow, the development is slow... and the character development... well I just hope it comes soon!

Although people said the protagonist isn't developing or changing, she is. From the way she acted towards people from the beginning to where I am now, she is way more lenient towards parents, managers and close people of the original's body. This is super B and no words can describe how amazing it is to get a chapter update.
