When a cold and crafty girl travels into the body of a foolish, man-crazy, young female aristocrat, what will happen?

A young girl, Claire, falls off a horse while chasing his Royal Highness, the second prince, and falls unconscious. But when she finally opens her eyes, her gaze is ice cold.

Soon after, she shines a blinding light that astounds the whole kingdom.

In a world where power is based on magic and power, how would an airhead like her survive?

But, she soon stuns everyone by mastering both magic and Dou Qi, paving a new path for herself.

His Royal Highness, the second prince, was forced by the Emperor to go visit her but was told she was busy.

When he saw the “busy” miss drinking tea leisurely, ignoring him, the second prince’s handsome face twitched.

Her personal knight, Jean, had always looked down at her with disgust. But as he and many others watched her shine in glory and power, they couldn’t help but ask themselves, ‘Is this really the girl they knew?’

If I had to compare this novel to another one I'd say that it greatly ressemble Law of the Devil, in a good way tho

Not flat out copy and paste but the outline and the END goal of the MC ressemble each other greatly

Its different enough to not be consired a copy but similar enough that the people who Read LOTD would sometime feels a sense of déjà vus

I feel like the characters personality is all over the place making scenes in the story very abnormal and constantly giving me a headache. She’s one way then another then a whole new way..... I know she’s supposed to have a contradictory personality but this is just annoying

I started off with the english translations but then couldn't wait and just read the raws using my limited Chinese.

Personally, this is one of my favourite shoujo kind of LN/WN. It's a good balance of action and comedy that doesnt get bogged down too much on cultivation and world building. Theres multiple interesting worlds and characters explored with the MC as a focal point.

The charater development of some of the other people in the MCs ever growing party can be a little thin at times esp regarding why they are... more>> so loyal to MC in the first place, but the main 3 at least (Claire, ling yun, feng yi) is well developed by the end of the series. Despite these, I can forgive it because all the characters are so quirky, it reads like an anime a lot of the time. It also doesnt forget about all the characters (and there are a loooot of them) of all the different worlds (with a few exceptions) like a lot of series do which really bugs me. Almost all the characters get a wrap up either at the end of the arc or reappear later or get a mention at the end of the novel.
Spoiler

tho for gods sake the author completely forgot about Blaire (?the guy that entered that that tower with them and broke through as well with Jonathan etc. Like wtf, everyone else that went to the next world, where's blaire?)

[collapse]

Plotwise, its very much go to different worlds with a mission or goal, but somehow by the end of the series it actually does feel cohesive and that each world actually had something to contribute to the overall plot and character development. I personally enjoyed the pace because I dont like it when arcs drag out forever like many cultivation CNs (e.g. Coiling dragon, ATG etc) but I can see that ppl who are used to typical cultivation novels will find this one faster than usual and maybe consider it not enough world building etc.

Sure its got its flaws but its very enjoyable if your into an almost shoujo reverse harem anime like experience that does not have an obnoxious MC for once with a bit of action and plot. <<less

Rushed and may make you cringe early on, but it's steadily getting better and better. I dare to give 5 stars at current arc but the early chapters prevent me to. It's worth to read nevertheless.

This is a review of the complete novel
... more>>
Spoiler

This is a reborn in another world novel. While it does have many tropes similar to other novels, one interesting point is that unlike many other novels with a historical Chinese setting, this one appears to base itself partially against a more westernised setting.

Good Points
- Characters are well developed; side characters are well developed and have distinct personalities
- Writing is generally cogent, and the author does a relatively good job of world building
- Chapters are pretty long in length, which adds up to a decent amount of content

Bad Points
- Some plot points simply get forgotten by the author in the rush to power-up the MC (e.g. the golden lotus cultivation technique... simply gets forgotten in the later parts of the novel).
- Side characters often disappear after their introductory arc; the novel is distinctly divided into several arcs.
- The author likes to pull deus ex machina powerups for the MC's love interests in order to keep them relevant (e.g. side char disappears, suddenly reappears with a powerup due to some 'secret technique')
- It seems that the author simply gave up at the end of the novel, the ending made absolutely no sense and was incredibly rushed.

Despite all the bad points, I'd say the novel overall is a 3.5; 4.5 if you look only at the initial arc, where the comedy and serious plot are well commingled and developed, 3 for the later arcs which degrade considerably in quality, particularly the final arc where the author decides to basically wrap everything up in 3 chapters. All in all, not a bad novel, but be warned that the ending is pretty terribly written such that it leaves a bitter taste in your mouth, a pity, given how well written the rest of the novel generally is.

150 chps into the story:

Main character has super plot armor, most things ends with lol plot armor. It's still rather unpredictable and entertaining.

Also the picture displayed for this is a big spoiler.

Initial impressions after Ch. 26.

It tells the story of a being who was transmigrated into a noble woman of poor reputation. There is foreshadowing that the MC was somewhat fearsome originally but no details were given in the prologue. In any event, she took over the body of a young noble woman who had spent her days frivolously chasing handsome men, to the point that any man who considers himself handsome would avoid her.

The new owner of the body immediately embarks to empower herself by studying the magic of the... more>> world. Along the way she astonishes those who knew her previous self. I’m not sure whether the cover picture is accurate, as from the story it seems to be like a western fantasy story with Chinese elements, the characters have western names and oddly, a prince named Nancy.

The writing is simple and easily understood, the characters defined well. The MC is cold and calculating, aware of dangers and conspiracies around her. The title “Stunning Edge” might mislead people to think it’s a novel with sword fights, but the MC is primarily a mage and perhaps the title refers to her sharp instincts instead.

It is still very early days yet but each chapter is relatively short and easy to digest, I read all of what was available in one sitting. A few characters have been developed with potential mysteries yet to be revealed. There is a romance tag listed here but it hasn’t appeared yet. Interesting enough for me to keep an eye out for more. <<less

Reviewed at 25 chapters, rated 5.

Cool MC, straightforward narrative, funny twists, and sufficient actions. The author allocated proportionate actions, hilarious interactions, and characters growth within the plot, while keeping blocks of information to a minimum. In short, very recommended, especially if you like kick-ass female MC. However, up till the latest chapter, I haven’t found where the romance and xianxia label may apply. Probably because it’s still early days yet? I’ll probably be back to re-review later.

Lol I think so far it’s better than demonic king chases his wife bc this MC’s actually powering herself up instead of focusing on romance+just saying she’s a genius but not doing anything about it yet. The interactions are also more varied and hope the series continue being this way. Of course, if some love interests happen along the way, due to MC's personality, it’ll be interesting.

Pretty good so far. If you like second life/revenge/powerful MC, you’ll like this. Reminds me of “the demonic King chases his wife” but in a Western setting with magic.

Another story of reincarnation with fantasy setting (mage, magic, knights, empire/kingdom, etc). MC is a soul that been sent for another cycle of reincarnation. Her soul story is quite the mystery, there was a commotion when her soul arrived in the underworld. (I’m not sure if the author going to tell us the story or just continue with this life time).

She woke up in a body of a useless daughter of a Duke. All she does (the original body) chases boys all days. While the original body is scardy... more>> cat, average mage, have no shame chasing boys all days despite the ridicules, our MC is a smart girl with stoic face (off course comes with a cheat too).

There are some power play going around that involve with the royals.

From here on, she studies and practices magic so she can stand up for herself.

She’s a cool character, I like her attitude a lot. She is wicked and badass. I like where the author takes the story so far (haven’t read the raw). <<less

In lieu of there being no other reviews, I’ll say that, at least so far, this story is worth reading. Funny moments and an abrupt change in personality have made for some fun reactions and interactions so far. So if it stays on track, it should end up being worth the read.
