Too much exp grinding, and everything is too detailed. I dont need that much info man just tell me pew pew and boom boom. Why would I want to read a whole chapter dedicated to creating artifacts/exp grinding every 3 chapters.. Wait, now that I think about it its the other way around. Every 3 grinding and creating artifact chapters you get one where story actually progesses. Fighting scenes were also boring and had no uniqueness so I just skipped later ones.

Personally I liked Yu Ilhan, the MC more in the earlier chapters since I felt I could relate to him more. It was more like watching an adventurer though later on after he ... more>>

Started on the whole empire building process, it became more like watching simcity. Then when he became God, it got even more ridiculous.

I personally don't like harem. Though I guess it's because my novel crush is monogamous and extremely possessive. However, I can't say that all the other stuff didn't make up for it so I gave a 5 instead of a 4.

Additionally, I think my favourite character in this book was Satan/Lucifer although he only showed up really late (as in the book's about to end late) and it's mainly because of his hilarious commentary. He's like the male version of my crush! Only a bit less awesome? <<less

It is my first time writing a review here so I'll try to keep it short.

It is very amazing and I am extremely content with the whole novel.

It is about the changed world and how our MC, Yu Illhan, has to deal with it along with several other things that were introduced with mana present in the world.

The first few chapters may be a bit dull and boring but I urge you to continue on as I feel very strongly for this novel and hope that many other people do... more>> too. <<less

For those who say this novel is overrated or the plot is cliche. Try to think for yourself how one plot shall know as cliche. For some plot the be cliche it must be popular and well known that why they are so many isekai novels out there cause it a popular genre for people to read. Also when you reading this novel don't think of you go see a lot of deep story writing or deep, dark type of story cuz if you do you going to be disappointment... more>> cuz this novel has none of that. And the TLN have said for himself that this is not a novel that base of action it more of comedy and action as a side base. So read this novel when you just want to kill some time or just taking a break from some dark and edgy story. <<less

I'll answer the most basic question of everyone who will start reading a novel

Does this novel worth the time for reading? The anwer will be YES.

But, here is some sugestion, if you are a new reader, I would not recomend this to you

... more>> why?

you wont enjoy it as much as "old" reader

You see, this novel blast every norm of heroic MC, cause the MC just hate those willy nitty MC, or event, or any situation that could be evade if you make preparation first

Thats why if you want to feel sooo "refresh" reading this, then temper ur self at reading a lot if mainstream novel first. That way when you read this, you'll end up thingking like

"If this was that novel, the MC will be lose to hopeless situation before make a comeback"

And the MC in this novel, loathe that situation. <<less

So this is my first review and want to give my personal experience on this novel. After reading it all it was a great read. What truly got me was for the author to personally get me hooked by the plot and not making the MC too OP in the beginning and actually giving him hardships or failing sometimes here and there. Additionally the comedy, it helped me have laughs so scenes weren't to serious to the point where I would be bored as well as almost no drama was... more>> shown from my point of view. The drama was nom-existent, like randomly adding horrible pasts to make us feel sorry for a character, excluding MC since it was explained in the beginning. Though this novel did have a few bits which I would apperciate more, like the final battle, maybe more talk or excitement or a few side stories to talk about the children. Overall it was a great read and kept be hook.

[Now here is some ranting]

Spoiler

for those who claim that the MC has had partners who fell in love with him randomly have either read the book and not understand what they're reading or just people who can't look into their perspective. Each one has had a reason specified if you actually read or thought about it for a few moments and was more or less logical, maybe exclusing Phiera and Heliena

This is the first novel I ever started and it is the first I ever finished as well. Although it is not very long, it is a very nice thought out piece. It approaches the hero story from a very comedic perspective. The novel knows that it is a hero story with all the typical hero stuff and it focuses on making fun of those typical aspects. The beginning and middle of the story are well thought out while the last arc feels a little rush. In my opinion it... more>> could have used another 20 chapters or so.

The main character is hard working and thank God he doesn't behave like Mr. Perfect Hero. He is not afraid of killing people for his survival, and will do what ever it takes to win, even if it is a shameless action.

The romance of the story is hinted every now and then but it does not fully bloom until the later chapters. And in case you are wondering,
Spoiler

there is a harem ending

All in all I enjoyed the ride and I hope my review leads you to giving it a try. <<less

EER is a very satisfying and fun fantasy novel with a few game like aspects. The only parts that I was slightly disappointed with was the romance, way to slow and far too many love interests, and the ending/ final quarter of the novel which felt a tad bit rushed. I would recommend this novel to anyone looking for an enjoyable read.

Well... at the beginning it started off slow, the MC leveled up, he created things and he surpassed everyones expectations.

Once he became a higher existance everything progressed extremely quickly.

And by the end of it you felt satisfied because it is the ending that people always wanted. Not a fight between to overpowered beings nor a 'they all lived happily ever after ending.

It was just a loner who wanted to protect the people he cares about overcoming everything and beating the person who wants to take all he cares about away... more>> from him. <<less

Great setting, definitely read it!

I won't go over any other points besides 1 major downside for me:

After initial chapters about MC 'preparation', when his parents return, they asked about his experience about time 'outside', I honestly don't know why, but he decided to conceal the truth, leading them into believing he's still 'ordinary'

... more>> You know, considering his ability - he LITERALLY has NO need to hide it, not from his parents, or anyone else, yet he does, and even creates unnecessary troubles for himself...

I really had an urge to drop it after this 'twist', not because it's OVERUSED just as reincarnation plot, but because in this particular case - it LACKS any logic.

Also I can't feel MC character... <<less

Love the series. Absolutely love it. Definitely the best thing I've read from a Korean author. Wish there would be a little more solidity in the romance, but I trust the author will get to that sooner or later.

Wonderful plot, progression, originality, and settings. Character could use a little more depth, but it's not at a level worth complaining about by any means.

Will definitely read till the end.

I've read a couple of reviews and agree to a certain extent that it doesn't have much of a storyline, and if it follows this trend for too long many people will get bored of it. Just for the record though a lot of light novels follow a certain order where you can predict what will happen. I like this story because it's one of the LN that kind of makes sense I normally enjoy anti-hero LN because no normal person helps others from the goodness of their heart. 99%... more>> of people are selfish and would not help someone without gaining something. He might seem like a hero but he just wants to live in peace so he helps others so he doesn't have to fight. <<less

I won't write a review because I doubt I can sell this novel as well as the others who love this novel as much as I do, so I'll just add a little thought.

It's interesting how the reviews that gave this novel a low rating and saying "overhyped" only read a couple chapters... Keep reading and you'll find out why the MC has to be op because in the grand scheme of things... He needs to be. At the early chapters, you can only compare the MC to the other... more>> Humans, but he was never meant to be compared with such low tier creatures. But oh well, drop this novel if want it's your choice/opinion. : I just feel sorry that you won't be able to experience the comedy and action that most of us here love about this novel.

Update: The greatest story ever told and translated. Nuff said... <<less

I thought the novel, even given the overused tropes and squick implications in the afterword I thought the novel was very good overall. Not quite perfect but close enough. Definitely worth rereading.

This novel for the most part was amazing. It has a harem, characters with memorable personalities, an attractive storyline (enough to the point that I am suffering from lack of sleep), a good pace, and no irritating scene like how a heroine was kidnapped by a shitty young master or something (as expected of a Korean novel).

If you are here looking at the review, I suggest you give it a go. Although the story was amazing from the beginning to the end, it was a bit irritating reading the first... more>> two hundred chapters cause the MC was so dense that he never realized anyone's feelings toward him (A common plot honestly) but it goes well with his character. Our MC here has been living as a loner for his entire life and more so since he was left out on earth for a long time. I will lightly explain the beginning as the synopsis doesn't help much.

Spoiler

The story starts with Earth having filled its experience gauge. So, it will start to experience its first cataclysm and take its first step in evolution. Due to that, the new energy mana will be generated in the world, At the same time, Akashic records will also come into contact with the world. It is similar to a system that records all beings, gives them experience and records of the other beings killed by the users, and drives as well as guides them on the path of evolution. But monsters will also be generated when mana comes into contact with a world and the first cataclysm occurs. So, to prepare the people of Earth as well as to make them adapt to the new energy god decides to send them to isekai worlds for ten years. During that ten years' time will remain halted on Earth and all the level-ups the people get will be erased as well. But our MC was left out because of a mistake. But he wasn't alone. To compensate for the mistake that he was left out, Heaven sent an angel to look after him during those ten years. And to not waste the ten years of buffer time he gets; he starts training his body as well as martial arts. But the situation changes drastically when even after ten years the people didn't come back, and time remained stopped.

And personally, I really liked how the relationship with the heroines turned out to be. Although it's a shame that only the marriage with the first wife was portrayed. But some interactions with the FMCs were portrayed in the after stories and they were amazing.

GO ahead and start reading the novel for real if you have read it until now. ;) <<less

It's certainly entertaining but the MC got buffed so much that nothing seems to be matter lol. More than half of the novel is just the MC grinding then flexing his ability on weaker enemies/NPCs.

I liked the novel, but the ending ruined it for me.

Spoiler

at the end there is a scene where the MC leaves the decision to form harem/polygamy to ML. The scene is formed and flows like "if the ML picks a monogamous relationship then she is selfish". The scene reinforces how the MC is a good guy, a selfless guy.

[collapse]

I hated that.

korean novels are notoriously misogynistic but this rationalization ruined the character and the author for me

Super nice, definitely a must read if you like reading about a guy completing every side quests before moving to the first floor boss. Harem is rated at a 8.5/10 scale. Could use a little more backstory between some of the female LI’s and MC.

This is another great story I avoided because of the title (I assumed it had something to do with the rapture, or the returnees coming back and treating him like crap for being designated unimportant enough that he wasn't transported to the tutorial (ala first defier).) I couldn't have been further off base. I love that the MC's passive power lets him bypass alot of the boilerplate "pissing contests, power games, secret identities, etc." filler that normally occupy the space between fight scenes.

The fight scenes are probably my favorite part... more>> of the book, when they start I always hear Lemon Demon's Ultimate Showdown start playing in my head.

Another reason I passed over this book for so long is the "harem" tag, which is normally a hard-pass for me. However, a casual google told me that the harem stuff didn't start till the end of the book, so I'll enjoy it's lack for as long as I can.

... Now that I've said nice things about the book, I bet the metaphorical wheels fall off the story in the next chapter *sigh* <<less

Really enjoyed this novel.

It did have the feeling of a cliché Japanese harem/other world novel. With an OP protagonist, master of all trades, but it was fun. Would definitely recommend if you are fine with cliché.
