It was something that happened while I was waiting for the day of the primary school entrance exam. I realised that I had become one of the characters of a shoujo manga that I loved reading in my old life, ‘You Are My Dolce’.

The role I was assigned was a character who bullied the commoner protagonist and tried to get in the way of her love with a rich boy nicknamed Emperor; a typical villainess rich girl, Kisshouin Reika.

At the end of the story, Reika suffered the Emperor’s retribution and even her family fell into ruin. With the villain gone, the protagonist and the Emperor overcame their trials and became a couple. And they lived happily ever after.

Wait, that’s terrible for meee! The manga ended there, but I have to continue living my life after my family is ruined!

The protagonist can enjoy her romance or love or whatever on her own. I’ll erase my presence so that I don’t anger the Emperor.

Eh-? The story isn’t progressing well because there’s no villain, you say? But I’m busy saving up money and studying so that I can live well after the collapse.

... more>> Let's start with our main character Reika

Reika has the typical goal in these stories to survive by not interacting with the Main lead or people close to him, typical right? But let me just say Reika is my favourite main character ever, why? Because she not an idiot and shes freaking hilarious, she is super unique and shes like a real person, she has her strengths and her weakness, she doesnt effortless thrive she works hard and sometimes she doesnt get what she wants, sometimes she messes up, shes funny and kind and hates confrontation but she doesnt let people walk over her. She doesnt have a harem or make everyone love her, but she does have friends and alot of people who love her or admire her. What makes this novel so good is the chracaters, their all so fleshed out and their all so human. So that makes it easy to relate to them, Reika doesnt have the best grades or the best looks, But I guarantee you she will hold a speacial place in your heart, Most of the time shes just looking for friends and way to enjoy life, The author made her so Human but also someone you can adore from the bottom of you're heart, Reika is my favourite MC tied with Rachel (I think that was her name) from slow prison life.

Reika isnt the only character in this novel I like, every character in this is absouloutly perfect, but another great Example for a great character is Wakaba the original games MC

I can not explain how happy I was when o relised that this novel wasnt going to follow both of the 2 cliches I hate the most in these types of novles

1 making the original games MC evil

2 making the reincarnated MC end up with the original games ML

I'm so happy they didnt do these cliches because I love Wakaba so much and I love her relationship with Kaburagi (original games ML) and her friendship with Reika

Wakaba is a character that you can not hate, Yes she is kind and fluffy and sweet and literally a big ball of sunshine, just like Reika, but she has character, She does get mad and she does have emotions I cant explain how but she is an amazing character.

Now I cant go through every character explaining why their amazing but trust me, this will be one of the best things you will ever read, it does get a bit slow at times but I love it with all my heart

I really loved this. I never do reviews, but kenkyo kenjitsu is just that good. It's probably my most favorited villainess novel in the genre. Honestly, at first, I was first a bit turned off by the description because I used to personally like historical novels more than modern-day novels, (especially for villainess-related stuff), but kenkyo kenjitsu really introduced to me that modern day novels can also be really good too.

Anyway, although it's too bad that it's on a hiatus, I adore the characters and I love re-reading this... more>> over and over again like a billion times. Author-sama, please come back soon! <<less

How to rate that ?

The zero :

the biggest part is the silly self infatuated monologue of an unsustainable character (20 years old in a 6 years old, growing up, but behaving forever like she’s Between 6 and 12) ; she has no trouble becoming a ojousama and the shock culture os basically nothing, her being a reincarnator makes her addicted to junk food, on top of being addicted to food - she is about mediocre at anything at best, or excruciatingly bad at many things quite often

so yes, it’s too... more>> much most often and it’s plain boring

it becomes a subtle art to scroll to some pretty incredible interactions, absolutely hilarious and a delight to read - alas, not often enough

as far as romance go, part of it is pre written from the previous book setting, but as for our MC : there’s none

the only good points are these few miraculous funny moments, and the few time that - for cowardly reasons - she actually handle in a remarkable manner - and there you have it, it was about the only talent of the MC, but it’s underused, and made as a joke

hopefully with beautiful pictures and descriptions from the nice translators, makes the ride bearable as it’s spashes you with Japanese culture with grace and abundance, but honestly, read only if you don’t mind an extra long slice of disney teen movie (not a great one)

It seriously could have been not so bad, if anything actually happened... the story made a caricature out of a caricature, the quirky characters becomes utterly boring as no interactions are really more than brushed of - there’s no romance, but barely there’s also nothing but superficial exchanges in friendship too - so the queen of a lonesome village offers an overly self centered one girl show... so where’s the drama ? When does something - anything - happens

so, as even the MC wonders and complains about it : so do we... but we don’t have dessert to just make do with this utterly self destructive work

(best exemple would be a Christmas party, in which s*upidity, pride and over flaws, brings her to end up all alone, doing nothing but sleep, when all side characters actually do something ... why being entertained when you can be bored - and so it goes) <<less

The story have so much potential to be great.. But somehow the story from middle school just have repeated event its not boring because how the author write it but.. Event the author is bored eventually..

Maybe it's better when the story skipped to last year of middle scholl from how it's start so it can easyly go to turning point and become great LN..

I'm not a avid reader of WN and LN. It's only recently that I have gotten introduced to these kind of stories. I do admit that I was a bit too late to discover this world but 'If I was meant to see this world, then no one could've stopped it from happening'. That being said, this story is that I have been reading about give or take 3 days, is been quite a journey.

The MC is just living the single life as the 'Head of the Forever Alone Village'... more>> which is actually a little bit relatable, I mean there are a few crushes here and there bit they seems to be crushed down. Our MC is helpful for few people in the improvisation of their love life, even though (mentioned above) she is single herself. But you know "Coaches don't play".

I don't know if anyone is building any kind of ships here but for some reason I really want to the EnjouxReika ship to be sailed because he the one character that this shipper is not so able to see through. Personally I do like his younger brother seems like a cute little child but I swear I'm not a pe*vert.

There are a few interesting interactions with characters which were and which were not officially known. Our MC is really soft hearted, which is not a bad thing but it is also not a good thing either, works both ways. She is a simpleton and strong. She is really looking forward to staying alive, to the point she doesn't has a ambition or a goal besides living.

I have to confess even though I have read this novel but I really don't know Class Rep's actual name.

The story is narrated as a journal reading. Our MC is not the only one in this story, there are other people involved in this as well, they also have observations and their point of views, which makes me know about them.

When she came to terms with her new life, and realisation of her family's existence. That made me feel a little emotional.

She is very self conscious and is said a few times that she gains weight easily. The contrast of her inner self and what she actually shows outside is very good. Her encounters are hilarious.

Although she not perfect like every FL and MCs out there but the translation of this novel is flawless and excellently done.

I have had a great time reading. <<less

The late romance tag really isn't for show. 220 chapters in and there's zero romance in the story. Considering the Shoujo demographic, most people like me are here for the romance, but it's frustrating that nothing happens, ever.

I love Reika's character. She's the best heroine ever.

Has the author dropped the novel? It's been more than a year since a new chapter got released.

If so, then I wish someone else would finish it, because it's a really good story.

Also, I'm desperately hoping for my Renjou ship to sail.??

It's a really lovely comedy, slice of life, otome novel.

The original settings (gets reincarnated in an otome game) is pretty common, but it's done wonderfully well.

Contrary to many novels of this genre, the characters aren't one dimensional. They're all really interesting with a complex personality and secrets.

... more>> It's just those characters that manage to make it really funny as well. The author often uses the difference about their public image, and what they actually are like to make us laugh.

The students, for example, show to the public this noble, graceful appearance that they're supposed to have as children of wealthy families in a prestigious school, but they all have their flaws.

One guy, for example, seemed like a scary thug-like dude to the MC at first, and yet when she gets to know him, she realizes that he's passionate about his little dog that he dresses up. He even sends texts to the MC as if it was the dog that was conversing with the MC.

Even if you don't like otome game novels, you might enjoy it. Except for the first few chapters, the otome game setting really is just background information and doesn't have a lot of impacts

Overall, if you're into slice of life, you should read it. <<less

A light, slice of life romance in a slow pace.

I forgot what chapter I last read this novel, but it is really funny and good for a light read. The MC is still quite childish despite being reincarnated but I enjoy it so far. Oh and I think I read up until 100ish chapter and still haven't found any romance for the MC yet.

Overall I like this, reminds me of gakuen alice except for the magic

The characters have depth and personality that is really fun to read. The main character is a mixture of clumsy cute and kinda smart in her own unique way when you listen to her inner voice you feel like you would die laughing. No moment is dull with Reika. Also I'm not really sure about her pairings yet but it looks promising. The way she labels people in her head is hilarious. The author also likes giving us different point of perspectives from different characters and we can see how... more>> Reika affects them on a personal level. Highly recommended like please don't miss out on this beautiful novel. <<less

I really love the MC. She is basically a normal girl who love eating. She tries her best to avoid conflict but still helps out her friends when they have trouble. The reincarnation doesn't give her any advantage - she have to go to a cram school since she can't remember what she had learn in previous life (well, she also wants to sneak out for snack). For me, this feels very realistic. I read a number of reincarnation novels/manga - enough to feel that I should start learning how... more>> to make shampoo...

Warning: don't read it with empty stomach. I appreciate translator's effort in putting references though.
Warning2: slow pace. If you don't like slice of life, just skip this story.

The story starts from primary school. No major time skip. Romance starts around chapter 111 when the MC is in high school 2nd year... Or maybe it's just my fantasy about that romance... This MC needs romance life! She is too good to be in forever alone village.

I couldn't. I couldn't not write a review for this novel. So, here goes:

AMAZING.

... more>> I binged the whole thing the last couple of days and I spent the whole time either smiling or laughing alternatively.

The MC is just too adorable. She's quirky, funny, a little s*upid and just adoooorable. She's in no way two dimensional and has a lot of sides to her that keep interesting you, and she never gets boring. Her thoughts and point of view are freaking hilarious and sometimes the way she thinks just will blow you away. Of course she has her shortcomings, but they only make her better and a little more realistic as a character,

she's a huge coward, and sometimes she does things that can make you feel like she's a hypocrite, etc but she sort of realizes sometimes

and they end up adding depth to her character. (Definitely not 2D)

The occasional chapters from other points of view are also really cool, and I ended up smiling the whole time when I was reading them. Especially the oniisama ones, I swear, they were so damn good.

It has it's own dose of drama, but it's so well written that it doesn't overwhelm, and neither does the comedy. It's a perfect balance.

Of course there is the annoying missing ML problem (it takes a very very very long time to even figure out who the ML is for sure

And finally, the translation: just BRILLIANT. The translator captures the quirkiness and the humor of the characters perfectly without getting lost in translation for the most part and it's nothing short of an amazing job and truly one of the best I've seen so far.

Don't miss out, this is an amazing novel. <<less

AT first I was a bit disappointed as it did not give me the romance and adventure I was expecting an otome game novel to bring, but as the story progressed I found it really enjoyable. But after a while just reading about MC eating started to become a bore the story line has completely left the book and it just seems like random adventures of the MC and how she matched the ML and Heroine together. I wish the author had given the MC a romantic interest just for... more>> the sake of reviving the book and adding a more stable story line. I also noticed that the author hasn't updated the book for months, I heard a lot of people saying that she usually goes on long hiatuses but I am a very impatient person which made reading this book even more strenuous than it was supposed to be.

Up to Chapter 299 is just the MC helping the ML woo the heroine while also going out to eat commoner foods and make commoner friends.

I have been following the English translation from the very beginning of this story. Honestly, as some pointed out this is a slice of life story so it kinda boring and repeat itself. But the way Reika live her normal boring life is interesting, and I started to view the story as "my friend babbling about some non-sense thing over chat". Given the frequency of the translation, it feels very much like have a chat once a week with an old friend. The translation is superb btw, it makes enjoying... more>> the story much easier.

This novel is really good and funny at the same time, though the romance for reika's is abit slow. I still am looking forward for its updates and wish she will not be forever alone village haha And thank you for always translating it, translator-san!!!!

I really love this light novel because the main character is very funny and her expressions are very different and entertaining. If she was a real life person, I'd like to befriend her.

I read this thing for a whole 3 days without stopping myself.

My reviews about this novel,

1. A very slow pace light novel.

... more>> 2. There's really no romance in this novel about MC.

3. Im still confuse who will end up her lead male. No future prospect or hint about her love interests.

4. A usual story telling, more on POV of the MC, I still find it monotone.

5. There's stil some cute or fluffy chapters, I like also the POV of other characters.... BUT it only counts as such 5-7...

6. But the details put in the story was really good. You will see that there's an effort in creating long chapters and also a BIG ROUND of APPLAUSE, for the team of TRANSLATORS in this REKA-SAMA. In giving a satisfied translated to the readers. So THANK YOU!!!

7. I will still recommend it to readers. And since I hit the Recent updated chapter I shall wait for more... <<less

It's so good!! I love Reika, she's so adorable as a character. She's relatable and quite friendly, even if she doesn't go about it the right way. This is one of my favorite Japanese stories.

At first, this novel seems good but it tends to be repetitive as time goes by. The main problem about the character is her weight. There is no turning point for the protagonist to grow (character wise) and her love life is basically close to 0. Everytime something small happens that will make you think is she finally going to have a colorful school life ? It immediately gets shutdown. However, the story is light and funny so it's still interesting in its own way.

For those who hopes for romantic... more>> interest (Actual progress between whoever ship you are in), dont hope for too much. I believe even after 200+ chapters, she's still basically loveless.

In a way, I personally like these novels more, the plot is good and you can sympathize with the characters because there's an actual growth and goals they wanna achieve:

This is just simply a very well done story. The reincarnated element is rarely used and only for moments that make sense and help to deepen the emotional level of a scene. The humor is well done and believable. A great read if you want something fluffy, funny, and well written.
