My question is why you haven't started reading this yet?

Novel progression is timed so perfectly you would barely get bored of it. Author is greatly influenced by Japanese culture which made this novel unlike other Korean novels but it isn't like other Japanese novels either it a mix between the two and this gives a breath of fresh air leaving you satisfied once you finish reading it.

To keep it simple this novel is definitely worth your time regardless of whether if you are bookworm or not.

I wanted to comment because I saw translator painstakingly and patiently provide a detailed explanation for those who nitpicks about the OP MC or the powers doesn't make sense or even the plots doesn't make sense and bla bla bla....

For me who grew up with JP anime and manga, these type of MC, powers & plotline is normal plus it make a LOT of sense if you actually carefully read the beginning before MC become OP. All you need is common sense to deduce the reason why MC become OP... more>> or why certain events happens. Just elementary level reasoning skills is enough to understand the Why, What, When questions.

I love the fact that JP style LN differ from CN style Xianxia. Both have their own strength and interesting points.

Just don't try to confuse between those two styles of writing and lump all these beautiful story together and view them as the same. Each style is unique.

What I love about this story:

- it comedic

- the reference to other anime / manga / games etc is gold

- I love the AN & TN, their commentary are gold

- the MC doesn't really take himself seriously despite the situation he falls into and his never give up and never dies unless you try attitude is a special talent on itself

- it's perfect books for loner like myself (every interaction with social butterfly is nightmarish for us, especially those who try to force their way in despite giving them a big hint that we love to be alone, we adore our aloneness, please do not come over. Haha)

- the epic skills he got that get stranger and weirder and the fact an angel become tongue tied because she can't argue against it as it totally make sense if you properly read from beginning and why MC end up like that

- and it reminds me of baka no test as the plot get mind bogglingly ridiculous but it TOTALLY MAKE SENSE (im not sure if you get me here, not that I care)

- I repeat again totally make sense

Thank you... :P <<less

Great Start then it became a drag since the author made the story dull out in the middle. Lastly, the finale and extras are worthy of reading. It unites the story perfectly.

If you enjoy farming like in gaming and a good strong to stronger story then this is for you.

Thank you for writing it.
I think it's one of the best novels I've ever read.
An intriguing plot (with its ups and downs) but in the end it remains that feeling of reading a masterpiece.
I think the chapters size (?) are right even if I wanted a continuous one, but it ends up right.
I hope I can read other his future works by this author.
I liked the idea of not respecting the usual canonical limits of the protagonists, farming and crafting,
the real one. Maybe sometimes the "future plot" can be guessed, however, development is particular,
with the personalities of the side characters which will be key roles in character growth.

I would recommend reading to all those interested in this genre.

Overall, I'd give this a 3.5. The first 100 or so chapters were great, 4.5 would be an acceptable score. I really loved it. After those first 100 chapters, especially when we go above 150+, it starts to drop in quality, around chapter 200 it raises a bit again and then it's just chaos, sometimes being great and sometimes making me want to stop reading. I really didn't like how it kept changing all the time. From being about a loner, he kept getting more and more involved with other... more>> people, his automatic concealment that he couldn't cancel became controllable and more and more people gathered close to him. The charm point in this novel was his loner attitude and how he did everything by himself and didn't give a sh*t about anyone else except for one or two people. But that all changed... Sigh.

Sometimes it tried to take itself seriously and failed miserably, which was a pain to read. Sometimes you'd read chapters of repetitive bullshit. All cool skills pretty much lost their value later on and a lot of stuff got more and more simple and a lot of sh*t he made was never used. From being powerful in terms of slyness and making cool stuff, he became more and more OP to the point that he just went upfront and killed everything... The interesting stuff decreased as we went along and it turned boring. You might as well split up the first and second half of the novel into two different novels, that's how different stuff became. The author went into too much plot twists and revelations later on, mystery upon mystery kept on piling up sometimes until we had no idea what the fck was going on. It wasn't written well in the serious aspects, at all.

Spoiler

It went from the author saying it wouldn't be a harem to every fcking girl being added to a harem at the very last few chapters

[collapse]
. The romance, if any, was lacking. I didn't quite like most of the girls, the best girls were either given too little spotlight or fell in love with someone else than the MC. The worst part at the end was probably how the author had wrapped everything up nicely and it all felt satisfying, then I read the very last extra chapter and the author proceeded to unwrap it all and leave the readers hanging, being unsure what the heck would happen later on, I was extremely disappointed when that happened.

All in all, this novel is definitely worth reading, especially the first 100-150 chapters. Would recommend to anyone that needs a good novel with some comedy to read, even if some parts s**ked. <<less

Great novel!

Love all things about it, especially that
Spoiler

no one was really "evil". Satan for an example just wanted to defeat god and did what deemed was necessary to achieve that. God also just wanted to get rid of mana which became something out of his control, that generated lots of evil. Neither can you call Speria evil as she just thought she was protecting heaven.

[collapse]
Taika also did the romace very well (note: Liera is best girl). The whole concept of the novel and the way Toika managed to wrap up the story in the end was amazingliy done. I think he managed to create an ending that can satisfy all readers due to conecting many dots in the ending and reviling many suprising things, and those four sidestories also helped a lot with that.
I'm also enjoying Toika's other novel "Infinite Competitive Dungeon Society" which is being translated at WuxiaWorld, hopefully more of his novels will be translated in the near future :)

Pretty good Korean dungeon novels, a little forced with the MC personality, that is compensated by an almost deadpool realization that he is a mere character in a novel.

Lighthearted and with a fast pace, where every foreshadow is analized by the MC himself, so that you don't have to worry your little head about it.

And unlike others Korean novels, the ending isn't rushed or vague. Making it fell a complete novel without anything further to add (perhaps some Snu-Snu fanfic)

Ok~ my first review on this site, I have read a little more than 100 different novels so far but this one (EER) was my favorite. The plot is really interesting, the characters are all amazing and each one has a proper personality though no one can beat our MC on that matter, the guy's just that absurd. Though my only disappointment was that there weren't any sketches of the characters so that it can help us a bit as a reference while we were reading, though there was a... more>> fan-art on the Afterword so I will shut up but... meh~

Anyway, I really liked the light-hearted atmosphere of this novel with all the comedy and especially the tsukkomi (retorting) part since I love tsukkomi. In my humble opinion anyone who is having trouble deciding whether they should read this novel or not I say just read it already because you will regret it much more if you don't.

I hope this review of mine will help some people make a good choice. <<less

Story - 3.5/5

This novel is not about story but about the adventures of our op MC.

The core of the novel is comedy it didn't disappoint me in this aspect till this chapter I'm sure it will be the same till the end.

Character - 4/5

The character are pretty interesting many support characters have somewhat uniqueness in them
not sure about mc's character well if I have to say he does what he wants all the time.

Romance - 3/5

Dont hope for any romantic developments until c300 I think

MC avoids flags all the time, his denseness is out of the world

Spoiler

I'm not sure this will have a harem ending or not but as of this chapter (342) he only got 1 woman, I hope this will have harem ending.

[collapse]

Spoiler

EDIT- Yes this got a harem ending I'm so happy up till final chapter it only got one female lead with a bit of an open ending, then the extra 5 chapters witch are a little bit in future show that he is marries to all the girls and has kids who make up an entire soccer team

[collapse]

Plot - 5/5

Well to explain it simply MC is op his 'op'ness is over the top, but he doesnt simply get op the hardwork he does will make us root for him.

The MC is op but the challenges he will face is always on a different level which perfectly counters his 'op'ness.

Entertainment - 10/5

Yes I rated it 10, of all the chapters i've read I never got bored or thought to skip stuff.

This novel is all about comedy the novel jokes about itself things like foreshadows, bosses, MC knows that he is op, anime refernces etc.

Spoiler

He makes a drill in one chapter and says 'MY DRILL WILL PIERCE THE HEAVENS' from gurren lagann anime.

[collapse]

Spoiler

in c323 the MC says this to one of the villain he is tr*shing

"You know? I think I need to admit to something at this point."

"It looks like I'm a genius."

[collapse]

Give this novel a shot I'm sure everyone will like, also try this novel if u are bored of the generic stuff this novel breaks all the cliches.

If you're looking for a comedy novel this one is for you. If you're looking for a badass MC that slays a bunch of monsters and other cool stuff, stay away from this novel. Why? Because all of the action and cool stuff that is done is glazed in a thick layer of comedy and references. It's everywhere and it's non-stop, the story doesn't take itself seriously.

Novel about MC who is abandoned on the Earth alone while it being upgraded to the higher realm, which'd be the apocalypse to all Earth people after they return. Lots of behind-the-scene for why the upgrade, why he's alone abandoned, why he is so OP. The answer and reason show in one chapter of the very final arc, making all the nonsenses MC had done and his so too-much-OP OPnesses become reasonably clear.

Warning: Because the novel is rather 'short', being compared to those million words xianxia, the OPness cycles (the... more>> essential of every MC) may be 'unacceptable' for readers who love to read the (Chinese) word-filling novels.

4/5 because of the ending arc. The villains said & acted not like the big boss but cheap chuunibiao school dropout. Good that it's not overtly long. <<less

Spoiler

(except for the elves, but thats the joke)

[collapse]

The plot progresses at a steady pace, and the OP MC trope is in full swing here, but the enemies he will face are already clear cut in the beginning just mentioning higher existences, they don't just suddenly come out of nowhere when there is no bad guy for the MC to face anymore.

I just want to say, author-hyung, you are a wonderful writer, and this deserved to be published in paperback in many languages.

And the translators on Kobatochan. Com and their editors is amazing in their TL speed, and consistently kept up their promises for the most part throughout the series and should be proud of their dedication and professionalism in this *salute*. <<less

Amazing, just amazing... This is my first Corean novel and it's astonishing I really don't know how to describe this masterpiece.

At the beginning you can somehow relate with the MC but later after unbelievable events you can't relate anymore but at that moment an indescribable feeling makes you keep reading no matter what or where.

At least this is how it was for me.

P.S: the Translator Chamber is really cool you must read his/her notes. (most probably a "he")

when he is immune to the charm of an 8th class where this power his described to even affect (slightly) the god I want to scream bullsh*t

[collapse]

Moreover the fact that at any of his insane actions his allies are here to be astonished for the 10^x times of his opness in the late chapter it's so f*cking borring add to this that even if he forge a spoon this will be at least legendary rank with stat like 'the dish you eat can heal you'+'they give you resistance to all elements'... The fact that the autor only want the MC to be op and not normal make all of his badass actions ban*l and the story boring. I'm not even in a hurry that he'll get his 5th class because I don't think that it will change something. He can challenge 8th class when he his 4th class. This autor don't understand that too much opness kill the opness. <<less

I love and hate this novel at the same time.

The clever way of mixing all the cliche and making sure it all comes in together, the plot twists that never ever stops and the realist thinking of the MC makes me love this novel over and over again.

The author loooooves writing every chapter as a cliff hanger, it makes me crave for it and I hate it.

All in all, this is a great novel to read!

It's funnyh!

Unexpectedly a series like this ended in 349 chapters. Well, I've yet to finish this series so no point on why it ended at that number.

The protag sure is somewhat similar to a typical Japanese dense MC on the romance front. But unlike the typical Jap MC, this guy has better background conditions to let him have a character like that.

All in all, a light entertaining series which I wouldn't mind re-reading.

This novel is a big middle finger to the stereotype fantasy (and overpowered MC) novels out there.

There are no heroines that fell in love with the MC after just one chapter.

Spoiler

If the MC received affection so easily, he'll become uncomfortable and feel that such a thing is strange.

Yeah, "love" is a strong word so F those forced romance.

Many heroines might have fallen in love with the MC but he's not like those other MCs who quickly jump into s*xual carnage with the heroines.

He might be dense but that doesn't mean he's s*upidly dense, this novel made me realize that denseness and s*upidity doesn't always go hand in hand.

An MC who's brain isn't controlled by libido and not s*upidly dense?

Dear lord, I'm glad they still exist.

[collapse]

Villains have personalities and not simply annoying.

Spoiler

It has been shown in this novel that villains have many forms.

An ally who will forsake or betray you for their own sake?

Sure, maybe that decision is the correct one, but don't expect to that your actions forgiven and/or forgotten, this fantasy novel isn't a fairytale after all, face the consequences of your actions.

Filler villains that are short-lived? Sure, but they are what they are. Unlike some novels out there where all villains feel like filler villains.

They do what they do so no need to keep makimg them pop out every single time or the MC will shout at you.

[collapse]

The story could be unpredictable (but not annoyingly so), allies are not necessarily forever allies and villains are not necessarily forever villains.

Spoiler

Ah sure, a selfish and ambitious guy appeared.. Did he hurt anyone? No. Did he offend anyone? No. Oh he harbored some selfish desires against the MC, but is it necessary to kill him for that? No no, let's just ignore him and hide away from trouble.

A strong ally was by MC's side at all times but then they joined those people who had forsaken him and held firm of their decision until the end. Did he keep pestering them to return? No. After hearing their answer, he respected their decision and became honorable opponents.

MC offended someone or someone offended him then they met again after a while in order to cooperate. Did they keep biting each other's ass and schemed against each other? No way. They are open-minded and doesn't have to keep making enemies unlike some novels out there, priorities please.

[collapse]

The comedy also doesn't feel too forced and enough to make me laugh and smile from time to time. <<less

If your wondering is this novel is good or not?

My advise, just read some chapters like : 50 - 70 chapters.

You wouldn't get a good respond for yourself if you just read it for a few chapters, because in the few ones, you'll get the MC is kinda... like bit of a bad guy and a bit of a good guy and that is just how he is, this kind of character gives us a lot of possibility and potentials for our MC in the later chapters.

And the developments is... more>> a slow-pace and would irritates some people but hey,

It doesn't just give us some insights of how his gonna develop in the future but will give us how will out MC is gonna react to the world AFTER that First Incident;Left-Out from Humanity I mean...

By the way, the comedy is good too, and the writing style is the JP style, you'll see what I meant if you read it.

Have FUN reading~! <<less

Honestly, people that gives such low rating even though they only read up to 1-50 chapters, try reading this until ch 100 at least..

The MC is the OP 'my pace' kind of MC. Sure it's kinda boring at the beginning with all the grind and things, also some people said that the MC almost got no emotion, and kinda flat in the beginning, but just you try living ALONE in the world w/o any human relationship.. You'd be lucky to even retain your sanity..

And also some said that MC is... more>> completely obedient to what the angel said. This is definitely 100% untrue. The MC does what the angel requested to get the rewards for helping them, almost all of the rewards from the angel's 'quest' contributing a lot on building his strength. Oh and also the MC has lost all trust on the heaven since the beginning he got left alone on earth, so his relation with heaven is just friend with benefit.

Some said that the reason MC is left alone on earth is not explained.. It actually explained very clearly, that the MC has an innate skill that makes his presence almost non existing that even the god couldn't detect him.. In fact this skill is the reason why MC is so OP, 90% of his combat ability is based on this skill.

This novel feels like death march, different world with smartphone, with all the comedy and lack of seriousness. The MC is not completely OP at the beginning, even when he finished grinding and becoming stronger, he must obtained help and buffs from items and his friends to overcame even stronger enemies. The MC is not just OP w/o any kind of hardships..

The goal of the MC is clear and the story is also pretty clear. The MC is dense in a sense that he just refused to believe that anyone will be interested in him just because he's a loner since little because of his innate skill.

Overall this novel is great and not to be read seriously, but you must read until later on to truly enjoy this. <<less

Just finished catching up to the latest English translated chapter (chapter 193 as I write this) after few days of binge reading, and I wanna say that this is another Korean novel that made me hooked up to the story, besides Legendary Moonlight Sculptor. The story is almost always interesting, it keeps me entertained and I even spent countless hours in front of my phone/computer to read it.

Granted, there were few boring moments where I even thought... it was a chore to continue (Mostly post-arcs, while post-Dareu arc immediately came... more>> to my mind), but I am very glad that I did not drop it, as the story is getting better and better and I always found something to look forward into, in the story. There were some of cringy moments as well, mostly how the author tried to convey how OP the MC is, whether in battle or in other characters' reactions due to his OP-ness, but to be honest it is still not as bad as how most martial arts Chinese Novels are, so for me it is still in the acceptable range.

In conclusion this is a very enjoyable read, definitely worth investing my time in it, and I advise people who got bored and dropped this novel because of the stuffs I mentioned above to try and finish it to the latest chapters, as it is getting more and more interesting.

edit : oh yeah, I almost forgot to add that the first 40 chapters that I've read on another site was rather hard to read and digest, but the current active translators are getting better and better at translating and conveying it into English, if that is also one of your worries
