Wu Han Ying does not know why a bunch of people were following him around shouting sister-in-law.

Xia Chen does not know why he begins to like the existence of this obedient Little Wudang, who is sometimes a bit silly as well.

Being followed and being called Sister-in-law, Little Wudang could not stand it anymore and retorted, “I’m a man.”

Lao Da (Boss) confessed, Sister-in-law (Sao Zi) ran away, so Lao Da is going crazy.

Guild Member 1: Sister-in-law, please come back, Lao Da doesn’t mind that you’re a ladyboy! (ladyboy – a male that plays a female character in game)

Guild Member 2: Pei Pei Pei, ladyboy your ass! Dare to call my sister-in-law as ladyboy, come to Yan Nan* (A place’s name, where players use for PVP)

Guild Members: …

Little Wudang thought to himself, you can’t blame me for disappearing, it’s because the school internet got disconnected.

One of novels that I really love! Keep made me screaming and almost cried. XD The only characters that I hate is Xiao Wu's cousin. =-= For those who not really understand the story, try to reread it again.

Spoiler

Xia Chen thought of Xiao Wu as 'an Obedient Girl' because most of the female players in the games always asked for items from rich players like Xia Chen.

Xia Chen decided to join Xiao Wu's guild because one of his friend (Momo or smthng like that?) keep complaining to XC and XC probably try to prank his friends or annoyed with his friend, So he decided to join other guild. XC saw XW standing near NPC and his (XW) guild on the top of his head. So, he probably thought ' Oh that girl again. Maybe I should join her guild' After he and others joined the guild, they started to chat in guild channel and do the quest/events together. After awhile, XC soon knew that XW are not a person who would ask for items and innocent. XW's friend did asked him to beg for items calling XC 'Gege' but he declined. It's obviously a lot of female players asked for items in that game. Because of that, Obedient and innocent female players are quite rare.

Also the reason of why XC handed over his company to XW so that his father would not mind letting XC to marry XW as long his (XW) company can help his (XC father's) company in future.

Ok, so I've rated this a 4, and not a 3, because of the ending of the story. To be honest, I REALLY wanted to drop it at ch 25. There are many reasons: firstly, the game around which this novel is centered is a Chinese one and the whole gaming process as well as the characters were a completely new thing for me. The translator provided a lot of notes and pictures which were helpful, but to people like me who are not into gaming and only came for... more>> a light BL read, reading the 1st half would be difficult. I persevered only because I was dying to know what happens at the end. And I have to say, the ending satisfied me. I just wish the romance was longer and we could see a bit more of their future life. (Was expecting a prologue regarding that but... oh well! ?) The second reason was the sheer scarcity of actual emotions shown in the first 2/3 of the story. I felt that the development of romance was a bit sudden but the actual relationship felt pretty cute. I was expecting a lot of smexy scenes but that was scarce as well (T_T) / but I really enjoyed the later part of the story.

So, "what's the end verdict" you ask? It's a good read and the romance is enjoyable. Unlike many BLs, the uke isn't pulled into s*x just because the seme pushes them one-sidely. He at least seems quite willing and the intimacy feels more consesnsual. So if you want a slightly baka uke with a super OP seme and their romance, then this is just the thing for you. ?? <<less

It was hard for me to find the words to describe how I felt about this story but I think I finally figured it out. The story is just really really awkward to read. It feels like a joke that fell flat. Not that the story is a joke, but its the feeling you get when you know something is supposed to be funny yet the delivery ruins it. This is supposed to be heartwarming, humorous, etc etc but I just can't feel it. There were a few moments of... more>> second-handed embarrassment, (again) lots and lots of awkwardness, some "heh... that was kind of funny" or "eh, that was sweet of him...", irritation towards the two dimensional villains, and- what makes me really upset with this story- "why the hell did he do that?!" I can go on about the last point but it basically boils down to dissatisifcation with the two leads. I can't really feel them falling in love or having affection for then other and I hate how unbearably (again for the third time) awkward their interactions are. I can tell it's supposed to come across as sweet and cute but I can't see it. From his words and actions, I think the shou, Wu Han Ying, is subpar character- he just doesn't have any substance. The gong, Xia Chen, is marginally better but sometimes acts way over the top or unnaturally/illogically. An example:
Spoiler

handing over his entire company to a lover who has shown no capability in managing one (has he even graduated?), has a known and established tendency to act foolishly and thoughtlessly (an "endearing point"), is someone he has only known the existence of for less than a year, and has only been in a relationship with for a couple of months. Look, dude, no matter how much you love him and no matter how much you want to show that, you don't make someone like that the boss of the company you made.

You know 'show don't tell'? Well I don't like that advice much since there are appropriate moments for show and appropriate moments for tell. Good writing involves balancing them appropriately for your specific writing style, but this author seems to have a horrible handle on it. There are so many moments that could have been fleshed out and shown while there are others that could have just been told. That's a major flaw that keeps popping up when I read these chapters.

(I have to admit, I only stayed till the end in hopes of finally seeing that little cousin of his get what's coming for her but for those of you who want to know- that never happens.)

From the other reviews and the star ratings, I can tell that there are a lot of people who like this story. I can't pretend to understand why, but from that, I guess it's just a matter of personal taste. <<less

This is a nice, light read. This is the romance of the everyday man, Wu Han Ying, and the wealthy professor, Xia Chen. It's a slow burn novel and the focus for a good portion of the story is on their in-game relationships. The story is a bit predictable, but it's fluffy and sweet.

Spoiler

I am a bit disappointed that their dating phase was so short. I would've liked to see more.

I want more !!!!!!!!

....I have to say that this novel really did got me addicted to game once more. (Curse it for that but I had fun so... meh..)

It's a really good yaoi novel with great translation. (Clap Clap)

... more>> To keep it short : it is a very good light hearted yaoi with no big major plot.. (in my opinion) but still it's a good novel to read to past time.

In additional, it might be helpful if you know some stuff about some game elements before reading this. (However, the translator does a great job at explain those elements anyways so it should be no problem with non gamers too)

Once again, I really do love this novel and the little bun in the story.

I'm reading this through wattpad; the chapters are a bit more advanced on there and the two MCs have already met each other in real life.

Spoiler

By chapter 78, Wu Han Ying and Xia Chen are still on a lowly acquaintance level bridged by the little dumpling Xiao Shang, aka XC's nephew (?). WHY's family life was also introduced and it's pretty sh*tty. Not really tragic, just sh*tty.

[collapse]

So, obvi, there's still not a lot going on. It's too slooow, tbqh, but I'm still enjoying it, actually. I like the MCs' online interactions with each other as well as with their friends. Idk if it's really like that in the real-life online gaming world but for someone like me who don't play online games at all, it's pretty fun and refreshing.

Still, the story is indeed dragging along. <<less

Disregarding the 3-stars, I actually like it enough to continue reading it when there are more chapters.

The story itself is pretty silly. Personally, I think there are not solid enough reasons for Love You to get interested in Xiao Wu. There are actually no sparks from his side so far. So it's kinda weird for him to latch onto this random "obedient girl" he found on the game, whom he himself thought pretty clearly that s/he is not romantically attractive for him.

The obedient part which started this obsession is actually pretty weird, considering they were not even talking with each other when they first met. Xiao Wu didn't even thank Love You for helping him. The second time they met was at the Guild Master NPC; Xiao Wu was just sitting around, and Love You just decided to join his guild?

Where are those "obedient actions" coming from? It's pretty groundless at that point in time. Granted, the part about the warehouse was a proof of Xiao Wu's good nature, but Love You's obsession with him came before that action...

It's pretty fun if you skip all the T/Ns, but that's because I'm familiar with online games and all those explanations kind of pulled me out of the story in the middle of reading. It's really glaring...
