I kept skipping this novel for a long time because the concept of a little girl dressed up in a silly bear costume just seemed to childish too me and not my cup of tea. Until one day I was bored out of my mind and my eyesight landed on this novel, guiding me to give it a try. Boy, this novel is a blast.

First of all, the best thing about this novel is MC. She is for the lack of better description, a normal person from our time. She... more>> is gutsy, doesn't take crap from people, doesn't care if it's nobles or not in front of her, and just talks to them the same way like a normal person. She doesn't automatically learn the etiquette and all customs of the other world, unlike all other novels. There is a good explanation for her having skills and abilities, also unlike other novels where MC would pick up a weapon and for no reason become a grandmaster with it immediately. She has a strong character and does what she wants, at the same time she has flaws like a normal person - she is shy about some things and has her own quirks about the other things, and also has some insecurities. She also has her own motivations and interests. Overall a very relatable character who has more guts and personality than all other male MCs combined together from other novels.

You get great character development for the MC where she is somewhat shy about her costume at first, but then slowly grows to completely embrace being "the bear" :D And how at first she doesn't really fit into the society but finds her way to live in the other world.

The side characters are also quite fun for the most part, there are some distinct personalities, albeit some nobles are way too nice imo.

And this novel is just so goddamn funny. It just keeps cracking me up all the time. Even when jokes in this novel are reused, they don't feel overused because they fit well in the context and are not used so often that you become irritated by them.

There doesn't seem to be a large overarching plot here, but the focus is more on how MC lives and what she does. It is quite interesting imo. There are enough elements introduced that you keep wanting to learn more about other places in that world and looking forward to MC travels there. Overall this is a a really nice story to kill the time <<less

This novel is a slice of life where we see the everyday life of yuna, a 15 years old girl wearing a bear outfit everywhere that hold overpowered abbilities.

Even though it's slice of life and 1/3 of of the novel is about food, taking care of children and mofumofu with her pet bears, I was never bored ! There is still some action scene where the MC show her power and everyone is surprised. The interaction with others characters is also funny and well made (nobles, royalies, her workers). She... more>> also bring earth knowledge and and open a restaurant and give job to poor people to help them. Also, the MC is staying at the same city through the whole novel: she does travel sometime but always come back after a few days/weeks.

I have only 2 complaints:

- About the money. The autor NEVER introduced a numeric value of money for 329 chapters. It means everytime she buy or sell something, it only says "it cost this amount", "it's expensive", "it's cheap", "I have a lot of money",.... you see what I mean? We don't even know if they use a gold coin system or yen, or dollar. Also, the MC keep spending a lot of money without even thinking (buying big houses casually or everything there is in a shop) saying "it's fine, I still have a lot of money". I think the autor is afraid that the readers calculate the expenses and tell him there are plots holes, but it's sad because it wastes all the excitement when she gains money.

- We are are often missing some description. For example we don't know a lot about the physical appareance of the others characters.

Beside that, it's a pretty good novel, often repetitive (MC going to a village, saving it, then the village is emdebted to her, and everyone love the pet bears). <<less

I've been following this series for a while. It is light natured and entertaining to read. Actually I've reread it more than once. The OP protogonist goes around without much of a care about anything and attracts people around her due to her kindness and good nature.

There is one big complaint I have for the author. That is about the chapter titles. They literally spoils the whole chapter. Wish they were named better..

At the start I thought it was super adorable with Hugging Bear, Swaying Bear and Yuna but it just gets annoying when the kids act so spoilt. Yuna had to go out and they start complaining about her leaving them there. It’s not like she’s her mom and they’re not even real siblings.

Some of the adults ain’t even mature, they act like children. They blame Yuna for making such delicious cakes which makes them fat when they’re the ones who chose to eat it. Where is the logic?

Yuna should get... more>> her act together, she can barely so no to the children and always makes them delicious pudding or gives them expensive things. They’re just going to take it for granted. <<less

First of all this is entirely me nitpicking but since I know that such things bother others as well I’ll post anyways.

I have two major problems with this story

1) the MC suffers from “nice for no reason syndrome”. That’s not to say you should expect something in return all the time, but there’s a limit to how much a believable character would be willing to do. This is coupled with the fact that she is shown in the first chapter to be inherently selfish by nature. She’s a hikikomori which... more>> is a form of social withdrawal similar to a shut in. This means she’s not very good with people in her case her social withdrawal is due to an apparent lack of interest in social interaction calling her parents “noisy” paying them off to leave her alone then finding somewhere to live that they won’t find her, when it comes to friends she simply asks “are friends delicious?”. However once she enters her new world she does a complete 180 dropping her almost misanthropic viewpoint and selfish attitude completely this is in my opinion bad writing. Character development should be gradual not sudden.

that last sentence brings me to problem number 2. The author’s notes explicitly state on multiple occasions that things were written on a whim or just being glad to be rid of something. Look I won’t pretend to be a writer, psychologist or anything else I’m not qualified to call myself but doing so is an easy way to write yourself into a corner and admitting it makes you seem shameless and alienates readers.

theres also the fact that at least to the point I’ve read there isn’t really anything to set it apart from the countless other isekai content I’ve consumed but not being extremely creative isn’t a huge issue in my eyes though that may be a turn off for some people.

well that’s my two cents on it if you are fine with the above points then it might be a good read otherwise no.

also I meant to give it a 3/5 but the rating meter won’t work on my phone and I don’t have access to my computer rn. <<less

Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear!

NOTE: I started reading this because of the adventure aspect and not because of the slice of life so don't facepalm about me ranting about the lack of story in general.

It is an interesting story I must mention, the protagonist arrives at a new world while having a personality such as:

... more>> "Friends what are those?"

I might be in the wrong but that's the impression I got in the first chapter so I thought it would be interesting, she gets acquainted with a young girl and as the story progresses the more people she meets.

Some characters are rather simple some introductions and impressions are good, so I absolutely got no main complaint about that one of my main issues is the protagonist herself; she is not bad by any means however the first impression you get from the protagonist is not the "She is such a saint, basically an angel"rather she seems to look down on people. (When you first start reading the introduction to how she ended in another world.)

The protagonist does things on a whim and helps people and even thanks them for minor events, I am not saying this is bad for any means but I wanted some character development on the protagonist side, we don't get much information about her previous life so I don't know much but i'd be nice to know her reasons other than "Just because I felt like it, don't worry about it"type of events. Since the protagonist in the very first introduction doesn't strike me as such and then becomes such a saint throughout the whole story without paying no mind to the first introduction.

On a more personal note I absolutely hate the author notes, I like knowing what the author is thinking but I don't like how the entire story is improvised author sometimes is like "I just wrote this while tired so I just have to put up with it." Such as Yuna (MC) buying 100 throwing knives for them to never appear throughout the whole story.

Maybe I missed it?

One of the main issues I dislike the story so much is just having basically no story, I personally do not mind protagonist having no clear goal, but when the author doesn't even know where the protagonist is going it becomes rather troublesome sometimes it ends up well written or just written well enough however there's also times when the author literally just pulls stuff out of nowhere. As a slice of life I don't mind, but I didn't pick up this novel for the sake of reading slice of life and more for everything else.

As a slice of life it does its job however expecting any actual story is troublesome if I had to put it stuff just happens, sometimes there's something quite deep or interesting mentioned that is never mentioned again which is annoying because from my point of view if you are going to add "lore" to your story or backstory at least follow up with it.

> Conclusion:

Sorry for writing such a big rant about adventuring but it is seriously frustrating. Adventure does happen somewhat often but is quickly ruined by other characters in my own opinion, watching Yuna deal with people at the adventurer's guild is entertaining, watching Yuna deal with children while they cling into her is not. There's some interesting arcs here and there but for the most part is not entertaining at all and it gets repetitive.

> Slice of life:

I would recommend it if you don't mind inconsistencies and only read it for character interactions while some characters might be a bit shallow its not bad.

> Extra:

Slice of life does its job well enough however my only complaint about it is that some characters are seriously annoying however this is on an incredebly biased opinion since I was taught being selfish is bad even if I do it all the time. I don't do it to such extent like some of these characters its troubling for me to read through some of the paragraphs because I just get annoyed however this is just an extra. <<less

Very subpar slice of life. Even for a slice of life, this Feels exceedingly slow. Now I'm the type of person who can read 100 ch of misunderstanding bullsh*t without batting an eye, because those at least I have something to look forwards to at the end. This is just finds loli> makes new thing> loli happy> goes to new area. I literally cant feel any investment in these characters, even the MC.

The humor... maybe I've just read too many of these but awkward situations just isnt funny to me... more>> at all anymors.

Overall, after the initial 50 or so chapters, You're gonna have to force yourself to click that next chapter button because this is about as Interesting as staring at your cieling. <<less

Negatives:

the story & plot are close to non-existent? the world exploration is very slow and the writing is awful because it feels like the author writes what he feels like to write on that day. (The writing itself is good but the feels behind them are bad), fight scenes are very lacking but I don't blame the author for this because that is not what the novel is aiming for, to begin with.

Positives:

the main character feels so cute, a lot of likeable characters plus more cuteness, very addictive sometimes,... more>> ok comedy here and there, the main character is op. it's a slice of life novel and it gives you a small warm feeling in your heart when reading, good novel to waste a lot of your lifespan on, not boring at all it's just repetitive sometimes.

is it worth it?

hmm... this series is beautiful but also feels like a waste of time but if I had to make a choice to change the past to not read this novel at all then I wouldn't change it at all because I enjoyed it a lot. <<less

Death by cuteness.

This is a simple slice of life story of a girl in a cute (and overpowered) bear costume.

Don't expect much, there's no overarching plot, no main villains or big bads (though there's lesser villains and bandits etc.).

Read this if you need something extremely light hearted to relax or feel better.

A light hearted story. The jokes and puns are good because they feel organic for the situation.

I personally think The Administrator has a sense of humor and the MC is the Fortunate/unfortunate victim.

It's cute. So far that's been enough for me.

Occasional moments of decent humor. Usual nonsensicle business successes by introducing other world foods are a bit tiring.

It is such a big difference from all my other novels that I read, but still one of the best. I don't think I laugh as much as I did while reading this. When I read this I just see a cute girl in PJ's. But when she fights for some reason it instant turns into a JoJo style. I whole heartily recommend reading this.

For instance :

Spoiler

During the fight between Yuna and that one guy at the beginning, when she snaps on him all I can see is her art style just turn from a innocent looking girl to someone from JoJo adventures. And when she pounded his face with her bear mittens I just hear, Ora Ora Ora Ora, in the background.

I love this LN. If you are a person who doesn't like comedy this is not for you but if you are a person who likes reading something that will make you laugh through the whole thing, are okay with an OP MC, and like a hint of action this is for you. I started this as a break from apocalypse LN's and this LN now has another fan.

Ridiculously cute story about the BEARINATOR!

Funny read with a borderline op MC in a bearsuit/pyjama with bear hands. The whole story becomes so ridiculously crazy if you imagine that she wears that suit the whole time. Even if she goes and wipes out monsters and armies.

This story is ridiculously cute.

Very slice-of-life, but pretty good among the genre. Some chapters can get a bit boring, though (like when it’s just Yuna spending three chapters getting people to taste a cake she made). Most are more interesting than that, fortunately.

Also, I like the title a lot. Hurray for bears!
