I understand everything that everybody is saying, both good and bad. There is zero plot. Genric charachter that act on a diffined template, it is just a repetive story telling and ect. In a literary standpoint this is a horrable story and it is. BUT, in no way is this a bad story, but why?

Spoiler

I have read literally tens upon tens of this exact same story. Maybe hundreds and I just did not relize it. Just about none of those storys were "bad" by my standards. And at the same time just about none of them were "good" either.

Kuma kuma and lets say The just about any other novels of this type. They all Are just about the exact same story at the core. Now they have there diffrence and by a literacy stand point but would consider the mass majority of those novels far superior.

They have plot. They try to have charachter development, most of them try to expand on the world. And within the first 5-10 chapters you can see this in about everyone of them. And non of that ever happens. Why? Because it feels like the authors give up. They start the story, make plans or at least start to make plans, start to lay things out, then lose intrest or relize there idea is not going to work, or just have a "uhhh what now?" Moment. And from that moment the story spirals into a cheap cliche fantasy novel with truops after troup and some wish fulfillment thrown in for some good measure.

And the ones that turn out better are usely ones that have good writers or just translate better.

What about the ones that never gave up? Well they usely become pretty good. And get rather popular and well reseved. Like the lazy swordmaster. Being the most well known right now.

[collapse]

Kuma Kuma tho feels like it never tried to begin with. From the start it did not have plot let alone over arking story. Barely any setting. And that is what makes it brilliant. There are no stakes there never has been. Plot points? Things happen go with the flow. Name of the world? Why would you ever need that hell does it matter? You know the name of the country and the barony your living in. All you need to know. It will tell you the rest when it matters... maybe.

This is what makes it so good. That in the trueist sense this is the most basic light hearted novel there is. Where it feels like it was writen on a whim. With one basic idea of a girl in a bare coustume as the focus. That the author thought would be fun. Randomly choses a template that wouls work and the just goes with the flow. And by complete accident it turns out to be nothing but a joyful lighthearted read.

My main problem with the story that would be very welcomed, would be charachter devlopment. It would take nothing away, and only server to make the story more fleshed outwith good charachters. Sadly the story really fall short without excuse in this department.

This is my opinion. It could be that hundreds of hours of planning went into this and others like it and on purposes or not the there storys turned out the way they were. This is my opinion and what I said is what I believe. Read this novel and more of it's type and form your own opinion. <<less

A simple cute slice of life story. It is relaxing and fun to read.

Our main character might be OP and too rich that she can almost do anything, but it doesn't make the story boring. After all this is a relaxing kind of story, there's no need for so serious development. This is mainly centered on how the MC spends her new life in the otherworld as she helps many people. I keep looking forward on what will going to happen next and love to savour the taste of this... more>> easy-to-read story.

Another "ends up in another world" scenario where a girl who had no problems growing continues her lifestyle, much to the expense of sanity of the other world denizens. You do not read the story for the main character, but for the reactions from the environment that vary from shock and disbelief of her absurdity. Bit cliché, but it is funny enough to amuse, and that is a good measure in terms of comedy.

This is a really cute story and is highly slice of life. The author apparently does not really plan ahead and write what comes to his mind. As stated by others, you should definitely read the author notes. Really makes you wonder how he came up with such a great story despite more or less being written on the spot.

Also kuma is OP and just the way I like kuma. As far as I could see it now, there isn't really any opponents that can survive the full power of... more>> kuma. Just the way I like it too. <<less

It's terrible, I don't mean the plot, the characters or anything, the writing is terrible, worse than amateurish. Just because you can string words together it doesn't mean you should.

Even books for kids have more complex sentence structures.

What else can I say? I love it!

First things first, this is a slice of life novel, i.e. the story of the daily life of our MC. It doesn't necessarily means a plotless story, but it certainly doesn't have a bigger goal other than witnessing her everyday's life.

Having said that... Our main character, Yuna, is a 15 y.o. full-time VRMMO player who, after an important update and a survey from her current game, is transported to another world wearing nothing but the most absurdly OP armor she obtained as a... more>> gift from said update. Only thing is, the armor comes in the shape of the most adorable bear costume. At first, Yuna didn't want to wear such costume. But, to her desbelief, she soon realize that, without it, she's just a normal girl, being forced to wear the embarrassing armor in order to survive on this new world.

And that's all, the story follows her daily life discovering the powers hidden in her armor, the new places she visits, and her encounters with different people, with the corresponding reactions to this weird girl in a bear costume. <<less

It's a charming, light-hearted read. But...

Of course the MC is OP and can create a life of convenience similar to living in the modern times. And introducing food that everybody will love.

After a 100 chapters, I felt the story lost that freshness because you would start see a pattern or felt things get repetitive & stale. She doesn't struggle in a fight or in her new life and amazed people with her food or her fighting abilities. Everything was bogged down with more boring slice-of-life elements and Yuna occasionally goes... more>> on an adventure or has a problem to fix.

3 stars for being nice, laid-back, shut off your brain read. I will not drop it and continue reading it when I'm in the mood. But after reading so many chapters it lacks substance to really care about anything.

And this is going to be licensed. I don't know how the LN will differ from WN. <<less

Strictly okay. I like the concept but the follow through is absent. I've read the authors other work compared to Average and 80k the protagonist is simply boring. Little too no motivation. Strangely enough, I'm fine with that. What bothers me is how much filler there is in the dialogue.

It's calm and relax about story.

It has personality/background for each Characters, It's funny if they said the caharacter is plain.

Example: Yuna's Character-> Lazy, Clever, Lavish, Kind and nice especially to Kid, Cruel to irresponsible or rude adult People.

If I said what I dislikes about this Novel, It's about how they always give yuri bait between Yuna and Fina.

Why they didn't openly show this novel as Shoujo-ai genre instead giving a bait again and again?

Spoiler

Yuna never intend to married a man. She thought Fina is cute, will be nice wife. She thought if She is a man she wanna make Fina as bride. She always wanna to take Fina to a nice place. In Dwarf Village Arc, It stated Fina is the most precious Person for Yuna.

There are couple plot, such as Fina make Yuna go to work, Fina is mad because Yuna is too wasteful.

in terms of the part of the action it feels less, I can understand it because the author is not good at making battle scenes, but I guess that is also not true, when I saw the comic version was really impressive, the main character had a gentle and understanding character good to other people are also patient, the story is not too convoluted and made complicated so it does not trigger boredom in the reader.. The point is the story is very good ?

A nice read if you want to enjoy some slice of life novel with cute element.

I did enjoyed it, especially at the beginning when the novel was slice of life/cuteness/comedy/adventure.

But as the story goes on the adventure aspect dwindle to the point of disappearing while a new aspect appear and slowly become more invasive: Food.

There are a lot of time spent describing cooking and eating but there are not much details and the taste test only end up with [Delicious] every time, many time for each new recipe, rinse and... more>> repeat.

Once the MC have proven that she is totally OP, the author don't seem to care about developing her adventurer side anymore and just give us more cute scene that feels like bugs in the matrix. Mostly always the same events happened. Going there, end up having to distribute food, everyone happy.

Their are a lot of side characters and I'm OK with quantity but quality is good as well. The characters don't evolve much in time, MC included.

The MC is afraid of standing out and becoming famous to the point of keeping many secrets about her powers but when she end up standing out and becoming famous... Nothing, she don't really care and resume her daily life as usual.

The author don't create any plot that are worthy of reading and don't hesitate to use the same plot several time which increase the feeling of déjà vu. At some point I just needed to read the title of the chapter to know everything that was to happen in the chapter.

The bad guy are always male, while the cute persons are always female. Mostly female characters as well as some sexist content. Nothing too harsh but still.

The MC is not a Mary Sue. She is a girl, OP, she make everyone happy around her and help the weak child. But! Aside from that she is a selfish person.

Example: She possess incredible healing ability but hide it so she can enjoy her life without being harassed. She don't try anything that would allow her to cure dying people anonymously. She just don't care. Or more likely, the author has no will to waste time on ethic or plot, he only care about describing cute scene in an easygoing daily life.

So, once more, a good read as long as you don't expect interesting plots, interesting characters, interesting adventures.

It's a pity that the author dropped the adventure side/MC growth. The novel had high potential. <<less

I like this novel quite a bit.

This is the story of a hikikomori gamer girl who's sent to a different world by some God, it resembles the world of the VRMMO she plays, but apparently there are differences. The MC herself is true to her nature at all times, she's a loner, but she still yearns for social interaction and after transferring to another world she's basically thrown out into the world where we can watch her grow, that's probably the best part of the novel.

There are different POV chapters... more>> at times and they seem to be thrown in there whenever the author has a difficult time figuring out where to take the story, some like the ones with Fina are wonderful while other are kinda meh.

There are a lot of bears in this story and honestly too much at times, swaying bear and hugging bear are fun to read about and very cute at first, but as you read on they lose that feeling of novelty and take the spotlight from the actual MC where I would have loved to see more adventuring instead.

In the beginning we see game elements like level introduced, this is however forgotten later on and whether LitRPG elements are good or bad I won't comment on, but it shows again that the author didn't know where to take this story when he started writing and it is surely something that would be changed if it was ever made into a LN.

As this is a JP novel there is of course a lot of food introduced and the MC will try to hide her strength, the last however fits perfectly with her personality where she strives to avoid anything troublesome.

All in all this novel is definitely of high quality when you compare to other web novels if you put aside personal opinion, it's a light-hearted slice of life novel and it does that very well. <<less
