The plot makes close to no sense at all. But hey, it's 120 chapters long, so go for it if you are bored.

Read at your own discretion, it has spoilers, big ones.

Spoiler

The main character is a man from Earth reincarnated as a woman, obtaining in the process a "gift" of Dragon Bloodline and two "divine blessings". The premise might look interesting, but it fades quickly.

The dragon bloodline gift is rather important, but the other two seem to be fillers to show the MC's opness, given that the "intelligence" blessing is never to be heard from again, and the "god of war" blessing is only mentioned once, briefly.

A few years into the MC's life, she (he) is already strong enough to defeat the strongest knight of Casalia, which is supposed to be one of the strongest kingdoms in the continent, yet after she leaves town, virtually any enemy she meets is stronger than her, sometimes by a long shot. How is it possible for Casalia to even exist then, when any fairly famous adventurer is already stronger than its best knights?

The strength of the MC is explained through her dragon bloodline, yet other characters, like Carla who not only has dragon bloodline but also divine bloodline and has trained for way longer than the MC, are defeated with ease. And let's not even mention other reincarnated characters, who have been training for thousands of years.

The harem part is, well, harem. No point in trying to understand how the MC gets so many girls.

As for the ending... well. Her current world starts a war with Earth, and any of the reincarnated characters are strong enough to defeat Earth's gods, which just makes no sense for so many reasons, like how the gods are powerful enough to casually gift the strength of a dragon to the MC, but can't even fight back against them (dragons) at all, or how the MC is strengthen by a god's blessing, meaning the god is powerful enough to affect their current world, yet too weak to even notice they are approaching or do anything about it...

Review having read chapter 51:

I was looking for a strong female MC with a yuri tag and here I found it. However I didn’t like the description so I didn’t read it. Being bored I started this novel and I have to say that is good.

The story is about a male martial artist from Japan that is reincarnated as a female in a world with magic. I really like the novel however I sometime think is a bit fast paced. The MC, Ria, is of course strong and gets stronger... more>> as the story progress. What I don’t like is HOW she gets stronger. While I understand that is necessary, I found it a bit strange and if I were the author I would limit that. The initial Gift is already strong enough, in my opinion.

Read why in the spoiler.

Spoiler

The gift make her strong like a dragon, with all resistances and body enchantments. However after she conquers the fist labyrith, she is given a skill to make weapons. This skill is so OP that she can make normal weapons without materials (she can’t make magical weapons).

[collapse]
About the yuri: it’s stated early that she likes girls and she does nothing to hide it (she even said it to her father lol). However at the start, she only gropes her females friends. After chapter 30, she is a bit more forceful but there are no s*x scenes (r-15) or the like. She didn’t go that far, yet. <<less

Please. I beg of you, add the NTR tag.

I don't know about others and how it bothered nobody, but I can't read stories which have it in them.

I read up to chapter 82 (NTR happens 2 before iirc) and it was a nice enough story you just keep on reading. It's nothing for serious readers in my opinion because the author wrote the plot in a way which isn't too interesting. You don't get satisfying "level up" scenes just some word here and there about the strength of the characters.

I... more>> can't say too much about it since it was more of a casual read for me.

Spoiler

the MC gets his second wife NTR'd by the first wife.

We find out the dragon race is able to procreate when both partners seriously want to and love each other, but since we don't get much character development the second wife spreading her legs like a who*e for the first wife, after just having a mental breakdown and hating said first wife because she thought she cheated on the Mc?

She thinks cheating is the worst and then is completely fine with it if it's her? What the actual f*ck.

I honestly got nauseous after that bs logic they used there and I thought hey, the MC will tell them to live their life together alone/without the MC and just going on his own merry way..

But I thought wrong, the MC goes "eh whatever I'll love the child like my own" and being completely fine with it?

Sorry for the rant I'm still in disbelief about this bs.

[collapse]

And the further parts don't seem to get any better if we believe the other recommendations.

All in all a 3 Star read till chapter 80 but with ntr imo it deserves a - 10 star review. <<less

Ooff. Well this series was a pretty good read to be honest. That is, up until the big reveal on the "Great Collapse", and everything went to sh*t.

While it might not be that bad of a development if you think that there are just some things that will never go your way no matter how strong you are, there are a lot of biases shown in the last arc. It seems the author really hate certain countries or they really just wrote those events because of, as I mentioned earlier,... more>> "not everything goes your way" idea.

The ending was bittersweet. Honestly made me quite a bit melancholic. A bit sad that they didn't mention what happened to other specific characters and there are also quite a few questions that popped up in the end.

Some points I thought of:

Spoiler
    1. Ria will follow the God Dragons role. Protecting the world. When the time comes for her spirit to end - just like Valis' - will she be able to rejoin the soul cycle because she was originally a "human" or will she just cease to exist like all natural born God Dragons after they reach the limit of their existence?
    2. What happened to Serge and Chris? I actually liked this couple and so, didn't end up disliking his arc.
    3. It was mentioned that Demon Lords do not exist anymore. I wonder how much their civilization progressed for them to think that Demon Lords, God Dragons, etc are just myths now.
    4. I thought they were gonna mention or reveal Ria's other-other life (since it was mentioned that he was reincarnated before by the God of War) or at least hint on to what kind of life he led then.
    5. I guess the reincarnators killed the gods that blessed them with gifts and gave them a chance to live a second life huh? Was expecting the series to show a battle between Ria and the gods who reincarnated her actually.
    6. In the end, everything just moves forward even if you don't want it to. Even if someone important or you love leaves you first. Things progress. Doesn't wait for anyone. Life isn't only filled with happy things. There are numerous events that will surely enrage or sadden you. Irina just looking straight ahead and starting her own adventure in her very long life, after watching, learning, experiencing things in Ria's time, was a pretty good end to it.
[collapse]

It's an okay read for the first few arcs. Developments are fast and confrontations conclude quite easily (unless it's the main problem that is being dealt with in the whole arc). Honestly, not something I'll recommend to someone because there's quite a high possibility of them hating the whole series because of the last arc like most of the other readers. If you're bored and want to gamble and see if the story will piss you off or not, then do check it out. I actually loved the romantic developments between
Spoiler

Ria's wives and Serge's partner.

[collapse]

On another note, I honestly never liked the Demon King. At all.

UPDATE: I checked the author's Syosetsu page. There are multiple stories related/connected to this one so some of them probably answers some of my questions (like Ria's past lives, what happened after this timeline, etc). <<less

It started off amazing, especially when it focused on Ria and her party's adventures. The nation building stuff was too broadly described in my opinion. And the ending felt quite rushed, though it at least wrapped up the majority of the loose ends... well, aside from what happened to the Earth Gods that granted Ria gifts at her reincarnation.

This is a copy of my original review made on NovelPlanet on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, and was one of the first Japanese Light novels I read.

Recently I reviewed a story called Tilea no Nayamigoto: Isekai Jashin Tensei Kitan (I say recently but it's 11 day's ago from today) In that review I mentioned that I've never seen a story with such a quality change over the chapters. Well, Dragon's Bloodline is the complete opposite in that cause instead of the chapters getting better as they go on, We... more>> get the chapter degrading for Dragon's Bloodline.

Around chapter 50-60 is where the story starts degrading IMO. As soon as Ria starts getting involved in politics is where the story stops being interesting. You will still get some good moments but pails in comparison to the chapters beforehand.

Once we find out that Ria and Clara are gonna have a child is a moment where I thought the story might start picking up interest again. But almost immediately we then get 10 or so chapters of one of the least interesting characters (Serge) doing crap we don't care about such as him going to magic school. Normally I might not care but this went on the span of 3 years in the story and we end up missing Ria and Clara's child being born and that is infinitely more interesting then Serge trying to get a crappy Harem. The only thing of interest that we get is " Chris " She's kind of nice but sucks cause she's immediately awestruck by Serge.

The thing that really pushed me over the limit is the final ending and my god is that awful. We went from having a character (Ria) being a fun character to have on screen and while not the nicest character she never killed the defenseless and showed mercy to people who put down their weapons and is even the one that went on a crusade against s*avery and racial discrimination. But she went from being a fun character to Slaughtering the all the humans on Earth. She then became a mass mu*derer the likes never seen. The worst part is that it's so against Ria's character. The fact she even considered accepting to killing off Earth is BS

The story even seemed like they were gonna have Ria sacrifice herself or defend the Earth instead of mu*dering billions of people. It seemed like the story was gonna go that route but then it seemed like the Author was just wanting to finish this off. If the story had Ria stand up for Earth instead then I would have probably liked this a lot more.

Then things like God's coming attacking and Earth Gods is just so eh and unneeded. Hell, The fact that it was Earths Gods that reincarnated Ria in the first place also makes this all the more insulting. This even makes it feel like the Author had another plan for the ending like Ria helping the Earth and its gods and at least making both of the planets able to survive. Hell, I'd love if Ria became an idol for Earth for protecting it. If Ria would have help Earth once all the gods were fighting for Earth then I'd say Earth would probably have lived.

In fact, the entire last 40 chapters seemed like the Author was just rushing this to finish it. It really shows in the quality.

There originally 2 things I didn't like when I was reading the story.

1. Other people that have reincarnated in the world. It really makes Ria be all the less special. I don't like Serge (First Reincarnated person she came across) Didn't like he became a companion. This opinion lasted all throughout the story and was made even worse with the Demon King.

2. I saw that in the comments that someone mentioned Ria having a Dick. I was worried throughout the story that Ria would turn back into a boy. I thankfully didn't think it was that bad in the end and liked it that Ria and all her wives could actually have kids.

Then the biggest offender came into the arena, The Demon King.

My god is this by far the worst character. From the first mention of him to him declaring war on Earth, he was the worst part. His entire character is awful and all his screen time is awful. Having him go around acting like he does is so frustrating. I can't properly explain why he is such a bad character.

I could go on but it's best not to make a gigantic rant. <<less

The plot is interesting, and the characters are generally likeable. The writing is a bit simple, and you will notice quickly that most characters become names only (no personality). The main characters are mostly fleshed out though, and the story is good for some easy fun.

It starts very strong, the story is incredibly fun till about the middle where it expands into world and large events, and the epilogue is just.... I don't understand why do that.

Spoiler

Ria's adventures with her companions is great, best part of the story by far is them capturing both labyrinths and the little encounters in between.

Ria and Carla's love was so pure, and the scene of their first time had given me hope the story would turn for the better again, but no, the Demon Lord almost single handedly made the entire novel not worth reading.

Most characters that were very important early on, become useless at the later parts, and the ones that aren't useless, lose most of their personality.

Author also decided to completely skip 3 years of Ria's life, including the birth of her children in exchange for 10 chapters of a Magical School........................ no words.

Then comes the worst part of all, the epilogue... sigh... just why would you do that. Honestly if I haven't read the epilogue, and stopped at the end of 120, I would've been satisfied, but that sh*t ending he made for Ria was the worst possible thing he could do in this series. Seriously, you're going to make her live alone in a dark room with noone that knows or remembers her left except for Irina who chooses to leave as soon as Carla dies (who was supposed to have been granted eternal youth to stay with Ria forever)..... I was so heartbroken and sad for so long after reading that epilogue, I can't understand why would someone write it like that... Could've just made it so both Ria and Carla disappeared at the same time, and Ria had arranged for them to be reborn together, or with their memories and near eachother, at least something to know that Ria would have a normal happy life where she could live the adventures she always yearned for with the person she loves the most, just writing this sh*t is making me cry for her already, so cruel....

Let's not forget we don't even get to know the name's of Ria's children btw, both her parents not even showing up for her wedding, her mother showing basically no emotions towards the return of her daughter, the fact that Ria went along with the Demon Lord's plans being disgusting and offensive to the first half of the story.

f*ck the epilogue, f*ck this author, Ria and Carla both deserved better, now Ria is stuck in an endless life of solitude where noone in the planet even believes in her anymore.

I agree with calebra, "That is, up until the big reveal on the "Great Collapse", and everything went to sh*t."

In the beginning, it looked promising and was ok, but after finishing it... wtf did I just read? It became a huge clusterf*ck in the end. Ending felt forced like the author gave up on it. It ended with a craziness like Gurren Lagann, except not the good kind. It was more like the author went "screw it" and went all out to end the story. So like in the end...... more>> wtf? Seriously wtf.

It also left me hanging with the first and a pretty big question.. what happened to that goddess and god in the beginning with the blessings and reincarnation and stuff? Wtf did they even want? They never showed up once after that, like author forgot about them. <<less

I liked it. For the first 60ish chapters I really like it, but it got too big after the dark labyrinth was completed. Characters were introduced but never really had any impact or dialogue and the plot just went crazy. The last few chapters were really hard to read and I honestly hate most of the characters by the end of the story.

This is one of those stories that should have stayed small, not gotten into huge world spanning plots and just kept with the characters. This is a story... more>> that I wish just randomly dropped than finishing unsatisfying like that. <<less

For the first ~70 chapters or so this is pretty enjoyable, then things seem to slip downhill pretty quick. The author seemed to want to keep escalating the situation to the point it kinda made everything else insignificant. Which leaves a terrible feeling after finishing this. The epilogue is also pretty much much sh*t with the final nail in the coffin to anything likable about this with no resolution to anything in the story. In the end its nothing more than the main characters failing to have any real... more>> impact on anything and just being a window into the world. <<less

It feels weird to rate something so harshly that I enjoyed for so long, but I can't say I'm anything but disappointing from having read this.

The translation work was on-point, and I was pleased with how easy the story read. I'm not going to claim that the premise was wholly unique or absurdly imaginative. But the characters and initial arcs were so much fun that the first 80-90 chapters are an enjoyable read, even if at times the author's focus seemed to wander. It feels like early plot lines could... more>> have been expanded somewhat to flow better into some of the later ones, but it speaks to my enjoyment of the story that; nitpicks aside, I have no other real criticism.

It's clear though that at a certain point the author simply wanted to rid himself of this story, and thus proceeds to take his frustrations out through the frankly awful few dozen chapters which end the story. It even feels as though the author is second guessing his poor decision at times before ultimately deciding to cut his losses and just end the story. The writing quality nosedives, the story goes completely off the rails, and every nearly every major/supporting character is absent or devoid of their earlier personality. I cannot stress what a disappointment this is to read. <<less

I read through chapter 6 and had to stop. I will vent a little bit here but my venting will explain why I will never finish reading this novel.

Reincarnation, whether or not memories remain, is not so that the soul can keep living the same life on the same path over and over. It is so that the soul itself can continue to grow by experiencing new and different things. The way the author writes the main character's complete and utter aversion to the change in gender tells me that... more>> they do not understand the most important part of reincarnation.

If I was the god in this story, I would appear in front of the main character and flatly tell her that the first time she tried magic to become a man again both her life and soul would be forfeit and would cease to exist any longer.

I am extremely tired of authors of reincarnation stories that just simply do not get it.

Authors.... before you write your stories, please be sure to at least understand the concept of the genre you are writing into. <<less

... Interesting plot, amazing premise but guess what?

A terrible execution and writing style that pushes me towards endless boredom. I'm generally generous with reviews and give a plenty of 5* but this- it's a rare genderbend (my fav genre) to utterly bore me.

The descriptions, pacing and worldbuilding is utterly lifeless.

I stopped reading this around chapter 54 because (a) I was getting bored of the story progression, and (b) it became generic yuri ecchi.

I get that the female MC (formerly male) is beautiful, strong, and confident. But the female love interests that she courts don't seem to have any problem whatsoever about being sexually harassed by a girl/young woman. Even if they had that orientation to begin with, it's ridiculous.

That said, it's not much worse than a harem with a male MC. So if you're looking for a yuri harem,... more>> then this is probably for you. <<less

Interesting story, MC's reincarnated into a female while carrying multiple 'Gifts' from the gods and a powerful bloodline he bought with his previous life's Karma. He keeps a Male's mind while living comfortable into a female's body. She quickly grows OP and decides to go out into the world to train and travel.

It's an interesting story, there's yuri (because most people will want to know) MC's in search for a way to acquire a male's body, but doesn't appear to be against his current gender. Story's a nice pace and... more>> slowly bigger aspects of the world are presented, an overarching plot starts to appear around chapter 27. <<less

Reading the whole thing through it did feel rushed. The author could have made it much longer and more engaging. I wish it had more character building.

Story is a bit anti-climactic since the MC is so op but since I'm reading for the yuri harem, epic read thus far. The characters including the main antagonist are very amusing.

Spoiler

End of the world plot is similar to kumo desu ga nani ka. Only complaint is the latter addition of his/her third wife was a bit random. Could've just had an awesome OT3 pairing

Guy becomes a girl. Yup. So I will now refer him to as her. The story skips around at the start due to the fact that we do start off with the MC being young and then we skip to her being old enough kinda. While the story has hints of yuri its not flat out yuri (smut) its not described and the only thing that does seem to be described is peoples backgrounds and combat to a extent.
The story does feel a bit fast paced... more>> so far and I feel like there could be more.
Anyways I do recommend this as the translation is pretty good and the pace is good.. And.. Its a good story :3 <<less
