Super verbose. Walls of text every chapter. All characters are bland and one dimensional. Not worth it for me. I also don't like the majority of LNs for similar reasons, so take my opinion with a grain of salt!

The premise is nothing you've never heard before, adult MC possesses 6 year old noble kid in another world. He gets a 'cheat-like' potential in magic, but not entirely overpowered as he is still inferior to the real masters of magic, like his teacher and his teacher's rival, which is nice because there's something for him to work towards and he's not just able to overcome anything from the start.

Also it's interesting that the author sticks with the idea that the MC is an average modern citizen, who has a... more>> different common sense compared to the otherworlders. He's average in every sense, he's not overly knowledgeable about everything in modern society, he doesn't have any over-the-top character traits, and he's neither an awkward otaku nor a womanising pick up artist. And that's where I see some other reviewers dislike this series, but I think it's a fresh perspective that the MC gets swept by the pace of the other world's nobles' politics and under the table dealings. The nobles see him as someone with great ability and limitless potential, and therefore would like to get on his good side, while also using him for their own purposes without REALLY restricting him.
Spoiler

For example, the king wants to reward the MC's accomplishments with a very large amount of money, but not just because the king is buddy-buddy and generous, but so that in the future he can be sent to develop the monster-filled frontier lands that the MC's family currently owns.

[collapse]
That's the part I actually like about this novel, the MC isn't oddly capable of diplomatically handling his peers and superiors so he ends up having a lot of 'bad luck' and can only go with the flow. But even so, it's not like the MC is used until he's all dried up and miserable, so there's no real rage-inducing schemes in play.

However the major downfall of this series is at its writing. The author absolutely loves to restate his lines, making things redundant and just overall makes it a chore to read through everything. In addition, there's always tons of info dumps at all times and whole paragraphs that simply do not matter at all and do not add anything to the story. It doesn't help that the quality of TL and ED fluctuates between chapters (or maybe I'm just reading a bad epub). Other than the repetitiveness, there's often a sense of incongruity between sentences and paragraphs, as if the author is trying to write down an idea but then got another idea and just jumps to the other one without sufficiently elaborating or concluding things. Now, as this is a fan translated novel I don't know if the author is to blame for this one, or just the TLs and EDs.

Overall it's a decent story with decent characters and relationships between them, but the quality of writing and TL/ED often times makes it a confusing and/or boring ride. Read this when you have nothing better to do and you are interested in the genres/tags above. <<less

We follow a reincarnated human.. Into a 8th son of a noble and 10th child.. Oh well. We watch him grow up and be come independent! Whoooo! The story is pretty solid, while it does feel a little rushed its not that big of a deal as it is a web novel as usual these things feel super paced compared to novels. I do recommend this for others to read as it is pretty good.

I just started reading the novel, and I just really want to point out a big mistake that the author just did imo.

When you start a webnovel like this one, you need to catch the attention of the readers and make sure they they take interest in your novel to make them keep on reading your work. But what the author just did in the beginning was just jump straight into world building and dump loads of information in the first few chapters. The author keeps putting information in the... more>> first few chapters when it can be included in the later chapters. It would have been better if the author made the MC experience the phenomena or events, and then explain afterwards. I think that would be a better approach since the reader would be learning along with the MC about the small details regarding the world of the novel.

This is just my observation while I'm reading the first few chapters of the novel, so I really hope that further chapters catch my interest and keep me hooked on reading this novel until the end. <<less

holy moly. This novel is so bad. The manga and anime is good but once I go read this novel, its really bad, there's too much "political talks" on this novel, at least the royalty politics in novel, every plot is heavily tied in politics, the most bad at this novel is the bad taste of naming things, if they mention something a family name, you can bet that those family names mentioned, you will forget it 1-2 chapter later, thank god that the translator keeps this glossary available so... more>> you at least follow the plot, else without this glossary, I bet you will be at lost. <<less

It s bad on so many levels. The beginning was good, not great but good enough and then then bam, fortune of many kind slamed into him like bus. It s just cliches trops of light novel combined into this thing... the hero is so bland and to much lucky that I could vomit blood if I continued further.

If youre looking for you bog standard isekai you've found it, the issue is that it is accompanied by non of thrills and wish fulfillment usually inherent in the genre.

Not to mention the horrible repeated info dumps, bad fight scenes (MC powers up blasts dragon with one blast and wins), none of the characters get really developed at all including the MC...

just ugghhhh, the first couple of chapters were so promising save yourself the time and just skip this piece of tr*sh.

Light hearted, heavy dialog and characters interaction the only thing that I skiped and little bit of ha Te was the Karla character that after a mayor incident in the family's terretory happens MC deals with it but almost all that are I was bored hopping for something then this Karla is introduced but she is not appeling in any shape or form, she is crucial to the story but I feel other characters could have fullfield her role and when I thought I wouldn't see her BAM she reappears... more>> as a slap in the face to MC's friend <<less

3.5 stars to it. It includes a typical kingdom -empire nobel setting in which and almost commoner person (our MC) which has great magic talent gains power and prestige builds harem marriages them becomes an important person in the kingdom. The novels also includes wars and stuff and a good slice of life no final boss. Just an guy which is in fantasy world of magic and dragon immense talent of magic living his life as he want

Personally this is one of my favorite novels out there you get a good feel for how nobel society works along with plenty of adventure and territory building. I also like the character building and how each of them has their own personality that is original and not bland. Despite what most people think I actually like the harem dynamic in this novel and how at first it wasn't just for love but for political reasons with most of the members and you can see there relationships develop as time... more>> goes on creating a good harmony and friendship between the wives and wendelin himself (the secret they found out after the bridal night was hilarious to). All in all it's a great novel with good adventure, solid romantic dynamics and harem building, character building, territory development, and world building. I especially like the concept of monster domains and how the author explained them. <<less

The MC is too much of the typical push over that gets easily manipulated.

Mostly because he doesn't know what he wants and other people force their decision on him.

Plus there are many cliches like everything is in Japanese or religion is like Christianity etc.

There is no way in hell that would ever happen. The author is just taking shortcuts and skipping over the language learning hurdle or the exploration of fantasy religion.

Another story about the harem, and the magic of everyday life. Hero smart, great magical power. Randomly gets into trouble. As always, there is everything here to see prices: swords and magic, politics and humor. History does not stand out against the background of many other works, but you can not call it a waste, because the interest is there, though unreachable heaven. Very large head, but even so interesting. Although the novel is unlikely to go away for the 500 chapters in the future, but so not bad. The... more>> potential is there, though not large. Evaluation 3. And 6 tenths of a star. Similarly, the novel meets the rating on this site. <<less

A Giant Wall of text in every chapter.

Well, what I can say, that's the truth. Every chapter is a damn think of wall of text, but worth it. The story is decent, a lot characters, and MC is not so OP that actually (i mean, literally) sweating when fighting.

The downside is the Author didn't express the characters good enough, and conversation when in life/death battle is feels like normal chat without pressure at all, and sometime the conversation didn't connect.

Well, I enjoy it since it quite long and have good... more>> storyline. <<less
