It has flaw, not perfect but it still did it best in it genre of knowledgeable MC, reincarnation, the superbadass past live, romance/drama and twisting villain speech to make the MC look cooler. Not sure bout the last one.

No good at all. I read until 20 or something and dropped because its both slow and unnecessarily detailed or descriptive. The latter is an utter torture.

Examples:

1-One whole chapter is all about a servants’ joy over a matter, again and again repetitive joys.

2-At first chapters, king tried to kill MC, he survived and get up casually in front of king and said he has answer from gods for his daughters’ sickness, that’s all and we don’t have introduction about royalty or how much he cares, and MC without giving any... more>> information, he first demanded one of the noble beside king toslap himself and other things just because he spoke ill to MC and for whole one or two chapters after that he gave a bit info as a proof of himself. This shows the scenario is far from reality.

I closed one eye for this and kept reading, but this repetitive, unnecesarily detailed, torturer writings keeps going.

Pretty much already been said by the other reviewers. Unique intro, got OEM’s feeling to it and a little bit of TDG, well there were repetitive things, also the MC focus more into the training and you would find the lack of romance. But overall it still good to read and wouldn’t be a waste of time for me.

Pretty good Xuanhuan. Good descriptions and information, nothing too heavy or too useless. Main Character’s personality is quite believable;

What does make this story differ from a training maniac’s diary is the politics. The MC isn’t hell bent on being a hidden power. Instead, his goal is far beyond that of the little country he’s currently in.

What makes this story different from a power hungry story is the relationships. Unlike an MC that tries to conquer everything solo and has hoards of followers or harem members, this MC is quite amiable and fun to be with. The female interests aren’t flat or weak characters, but the idea of a harem does come up. It isn’t disgusting to read the male-female interactions.

I guess it loses marks in the cultivation technique explanations. I rather skipped those and read the social parts more...

Ps. Dude below, "slow pace and too descriptive" are not faults... Being repetitive with backstory is better than making one up and never using it again. ie. BTTH MC IS A DAMNED REINCARNATOR!?!?!?!?

Overall the plot is fine, a really good read.

Good xianxia story. It’s not some like some second rate ones. I read till 51 chapters for now it reminded me of battle through the heavens, I think this novel's quality won't be less if not even better.

Well written, in the veins of Otherworldly Evil Monarch and Transcending the Nine Heavens, both by Fenglin Tianxia. In fact, the eloquence and arrogance of the MC made thought that this series was by the same author.

The MC of Sovereign of Three Realms is similar to OEM: reincarnated and taking over the body of a wastrel, taking advantage of the original body's poor reputation and astonishing people with his "new-found" knowledge and strength. If you want to add realism to xianxia in general,

There should be more wisdom that comes from cultivation. Aggressive and impatient people usually can not reach higher levels of meditation, that's why whenever I read xianxia where all the cultivators are arrogant I'm put off by it, especially if it is the MC *cough*PMG*cough*.

I can say this is one translation that I will jump on the boat each time I saw new update apart from TMW, TDE, ISSTH & OEM.

It begin with an unusual death, being cane to death.. Which body ever in Xianxia, that happening... And the Reincarnated one is actually one who memorized everything and anything but had Yin Body Constitution..

There is some really good parts but also some big flaws. It is much more entertaining when he faces dangerous situations and confront it with wits and his trump cards. When he is against much weaker people than him that are jealous and want to attack him in a way or another, there is too much face slapping to my taste. On the contrary, it makes him look bad. He is described as cautious by the author, but he is not really. Showing a large part of his abilities when it was not required may have worsen the situation of his sect and his comrades.

The more you advance in the story, the more there is prattle, repetitions, and useless and annoying interludes. Oftentimes the characters says one thing and repeat it again several chapters later like they never said it before. There is a debate somewhere in the novel, everyone agree on one thing, then several chapters laters, one guy make the same proposition like it's the first time, and then there's another character who disagree, it's really infuriating how there can be so much nonsense. <<less

Semi-decent read overall (though very repetitive as expected), as I went into this knowing it would contain nothing but face slappings from an OP protagonist.

Romance is crap, with no substance to it.

All supporting cast gets quickly swept aside & forgotten about due to MC's rapid growth (which I'm never a fan of).

I had been with SOTR for a long time and absolutely loved it but found that the never ending plot of the MC having more than he could handle being a bit annoying since sometimes its nice for the MC to get a breather or at least do okay. The breaking of the boundary Steele for me was the breaking point and I gave up and didn't look back for a year and have picked it back up. Since I’ve stuck through thick and thin with this novel it may seem that it’s a special case in which I am biased in this review. However I assure you this is not the case as I view things from an objective standpoint. This novel keeps me engaged mostly through every single chapter and I noticed there is a lot of complaints about our character moving into a different arc in higher levels. . While I’ve read many novels in the past there are only 2 I haven’t dropped and this is one of them.
