I absolutely LOVE this series.

The story is entertaining, always keeping me interested and wondering what will happen next.

Of course we got some of the best moment when our MC (Yu IlHan) just breaks common sense either with crafting, training or just beating things up, and not just Earths common sense but even the angels. It just makes me laugh.

I am actually quite disappointed.. The earlier chapters were good & had potential. I can get passed some over-exaggeration but when continuously used the quality of the story just keeps on dropping..

The story was good until the Orochi arc, everything pass that was just over-exaggeration & in japanese term chuunibyou-ish.. I don't even know what the author wants to do anymore with the story

I wouldn't really recommend this if you want a serious read. As this is pretty much a wish-fulfilling OP story with non-suspense action kind of story.. I kinda don't know how to describe it, only the word childish comes to mind.

Though I said that if your looking for an OP MC story you just need to look for this as he probably can do anything at the speed of light & I mean it literally.. <<less

Edit: this review is too harsh, I edited it from my phone and every time I saved, it bugged some how. Some things may be too general or not explained;

Making things up as you go is held as a mark of intelectual maturity in this novel, it was amusing the first 120 chapters but now I see why and how this novel became so large. This is not a serious novel. the plot and theme is clear and the phase is set; what if everything MC thinks is reality, and... more>> MC were right since the very beginning of the universe and MC is Uber strong but not really Uber strong "but stronger" and maybe super duper intelligent but without even thinking.

The result its an OK novel. That lacks a real feeling of epicness

The joy I feel reading this is more like invisible dragon than Seoul station necromancer, I would say a 3:1 ratio.

You just have to assume everything is sensational.

The plot is given, the MC knows what's he is thinking, the heroines know that MC is Uber, but they too are able to think on this Uber terms.

You think-you know what he was thinking except you didn't really. Because the MC cognition changes in the instant an artificial plot device with a cynical assumption enters the story; because not caring for the story to make sense is not only a requirement but a celebration.

The fact is that given you saw MC eating rice and sparring or hitting the fire hard, you should bknow what his process of thinking and Preparation consist of, but not only that, his hidden motivations and ramifications, are mostly self explanatory, or maybe we can give you a bromide to rationalize later etc.

This is really oxymoronic in the sense that this MC just makes everything as he goes, and everyone knows what's happening in the background[except the reader of course, than shouldn't care were this is really going], and suddenly when conflict arises everyone is a genius and thinks "yeah obviously" then Autor Proceeds to enlighten us, mere mortals; that you know he's a genius, and obvious because he read a lot, i.e he knew never before he knew because books confere omniscience thus rendering the need for explanations useless. <<less

The funniest Korean novel I have ever read. Much much much better than Legendary Moonlight sculptor because.
1. You don't see mob characters who drool after a beautiful woman every single time she makes an appearance.
2. The damn thing is just too funny even without any misunderstandings!
3. The MC is a true genius apart from the things related to love. XD

The start is a bit rocky, but other than that it's a pretty good story.

The MC is a scrub that becomes OP as hell but even so, there isn't a lack of strong enemies for him to fight. It's basically spelled out for him that he's a huge fish in a small pond, but his aspiration is to move to the great big ocean no matter what.

There's also some great comedy in this, there were quite a few times I found myself cracking up at the liberal use of Copyright... more>> material like P*kemon, Digim*n, Ir*n M*n, The H*lk, ETC along with the numerous pop-culture references, call-backs, and some of the side characters' tomfoolery.

The MC has read countless books so he's even aware of some of the tropes of the 'genre' he's in, fully predicts them, and subverts them on occasion. He's kind of like Deadpool, but the 4th wall is never broken. (It's never: 'well this is a book, so I...'. It's more: 'If this were a book, this and this would happen...' And some times it goes exactly as he says, other times it's slightly off, sometimes he's plain wrong.)

All in all, 4.5 stars... well, 5... I rounded up. <<less

Earth has leveled up allowing its residences access to Mana along with status, lvl up and stuff. In order to maintain balance since animals adapt faster. Humans were sent to other worlds to adapt to mana and sh*t for 10 years while time on Earth stopped just before the lvl up. Yes, every human was sent away. Except MC. MC's thin presence has reached such a lvl that even God-sama forgot about him.

And so for the first 5 chapters MC spends his time training to be OP in everything for a 1000 years while waiting for humans to return (supposed to be 10 but time axis deviation thingy made them stay in other words for 10 while MC waited in time stopped world for 1000) along with a pretty Onee-san Angel to accompany him in his solitude of course.

Humans were sent to adapt so they lost their stats but MC retained his OP ness and thus begins the story of the MC becoming even more OP while fixing all the crazy ass abnormalities on Earth (that would have long destroyed the planet if MC weren't there) as missions from the Heaven along with pretty Onee-chan Angels oF course.

[collapse]

At first the MC has a difficult to comprehend mentality despite the Author's explanations towards his train of thought. However later his personality just makes him more awesome and cooler.

No major plot holes if you exclude the time stop thingy at the beginning of the story (I mean for example computers work just fine but clocks don't cause Time is stopped ????) Later the storyline is pretty solid with adequate foreshadowing, mentions, explanations, development etc. The Author got Pro-er (?)

The beginning may be 'Ok' at first but if you're a sucker for OP MCs with cool personalities (like me) then I say go for it. Give it some time and it will give you Aderalin Rushes. <<less

I've read this to c88 then decide to gave a review then seeing how low the rate from some review shock me. For people who aren't ret*rded, this story is a really fun read.

MY ADVISE: IF YOU HAVING SYNDROME =>" PICKY ABOUT HOW A PROTAGONIST OR MC SHOULD BE", DON'T BOTHER TO READ. TRY TO READ "TILLEA's WORRY" to cure that illness. Either way, if you okay if with Low profile MC, Overpowered, Super Fast Growth, Common Sense's killer, RPG elements, Absurd things like God & angels, Chuunibyou-like titles and... more>> names then Plus Fantasy like world build & creatures mixed with modern set. Put those inside a blender and you got the genre.

For almost "literally' NEGATIVE review from "some" reader, whenever they complain about almost every novel listed in this NU site are about their disappointment because the "MC" a.k.a "protagonist" are not suited to their taste. I believe not every protagonist is sharp and domineering as a "certain" MC from "certain" xianxia or novel. First, I enjoy this novel and that's a good reason to give good rate. Objectively It should beat least 4/5 star but I gave it 5 since the author really know how to make a comedic conversation (for a reason I found it very funny) while their topic were not funny at all (plus how good the TL;ED-tor translate it). I really wish if actually "Arifureta" (one of the novel that killed by the author strange sense of humor) has this element of humor. <<less

This is one of the best novels out there. There is a good balance of comedy and action, I absolutely enjoyed all of the references and jokes within this novel, especially the JoJo ones. The MC has a rather realistic personality and point of view (Coming from someone who experienced countless years in solitude), which is very refreshing. He doesn't spout bullsh*t about justice or whatever, he just does things of his own interest. The concept is rather refreshing due to being different from overused world transfer and VR Games... more>> tropes, but still brings out the best of the two genres. There are people who complain that the MC is too powerful, but he obtained this power through sheer effort and hard work, unlike other novels where the MC just get's power ups. There are also complains about details of his training/grinding etc being left out. I'd say it is beneficial for it to be left out. The readers will be bored to death if we were to have to read about his lengthy grinding. The information is presented to us in an easy way which can be easily understood and digested. We are not bombarded by any more information than necessary, which is in my opinion a good thing. I would highly recommend you to read this novel. Best way to decide if you like it or not is to try it yourself. <<less

The plot is hilarious.

Everything is hilarious but that drove me to continue reading. Its about another OP MC in a costume that was forced to be low profile because of his inherent skill. The mc's development is somewhat unique by giving him OP skills via free training time for years making him eccentric coupled with godly passive stealth abilities in exchange for his ability to use mana at the moment with a free tsun guide/assistant. The pacing is fast too but considering the long chapter lenght, its somewhat acceptable but... more>> this is definitely a good read. I give this a 4.3/5 <<less

This is the first novel of the dungeon genre that I picked up, and it was quite original for me. I find it very unique from the normal wuxia/xianxia fare, and I think the humor of the MC will keep readers coming back for more.

I think the important facts of the novel are the MC is OP and it seems to be a harem novel. The plot needs him to be OP, and there is still a sense of danger for him. He is very strong in almost all regards,... more>> but I don't find it detracts from the plot especially since the MC isn't a one trick pony. As for the harem, I don't find it detracts from the plot either, instead it acts to move it forward. The translators do a great job, and I greatly appreciate how they translate the author's notes as well (which I also love, because they do a great job in showing his thought process in the direction the plot took). Even though the releases are irregular, they come at an often enough pace that I am not put-off by them. This is one of best novels I am currently reading, and I hope it can continue its strong start. Great action and comedy combined with a MC who is aware of all the normal tropes makes for a great read. I would recommend this to anyone, and tell them to give it at least 20 chapters. The pace is pretty fast paced so unless the person is turned off by the novel, I don't think anyone would get bored. The author does a great job in not drawing out his chapters pointlessly like certain WN I have read *coughBTTHcough* <<less

A good read. If a dense, OP plus harem (?) MC with comedy is your favourite type of MC this is a book for you.

Unlike some of the reviewers think, I think the idea itself interesting. I have read many books similar to this one and I still find it interesting. It's amusing to see what happen if you are alone and the only one left behind while everyone else is in another world? MC's answer is wait. With so much time, he become strong and it's cool... more>> to see that. It's also interesting to see who manages to fight for the heroine seat where the MC is as dense as mercury.

Although the great sense of humour, character development, it lacks of a good plot. The main plot (of the arc?) has already shown but it wasn't good enough.

Overall the story was good with a lot of humour and joy. It brings happiness and laughter when reading. Well still in book one, the future will tell if the plot improves or not. <<less

Started off really good, and I liked how the MC became strong. However, now it has turn into the MC building different items, to be used once. The items the MC creates are either destroyed after one fight, or he builds a stronger item to replace the old item. Yet, over half a chapter is focused on how the MC is creating an item. The story is interesting enough for me to continue reading, but not as good as it started out.

So one thing I have noticed is that some people are calling this an apocalypse story its not. Its about the earth evolving and humanity with it, its about the struggle to survive and grow for everybody. The thing I like about the story is how global it is and how the whole human race is involved. Another thing I have noticed people saying is that the protagonist is 'OP' and in my opinion yeh he is pretty strong, but its not like those other novels where the main gets... more>> super powers and 1 shots everything. He had to train for a LOOOONG time and if you didn't come out a bit op then thats bad in its own right. The one bad thing I would have to say about it is the characters are a bit lacking and not really memorable and the main character is a bit of a hypocrite saying how he hates being alone and that he wants to be apart of something but then everytime someone does notice him and try's to talk to him hes like screw off. <<less

Terrific series. I love the setting of the novel, the interactions between the MC and the angels, and potential progression of skills and crafting.

However, the author could do a better job with descriptions of the characters and fights. The MC interacts with so few characters. However, the few characters that he does interact with, still have little backstory and character development attached to them. The fights are also not as descriptive as the ones from, for example, The King's Avatar.

Still early though, and I still enjoy the series.

Alright, EER is a good novel, with the potential to be a very good or great novel. But rating it 5 after 8/9 chapters? Well..I just can't agree with you.

It has lots of potential, but I would say that it doesn't deserve the 5* rating for the early chapters since 5 or so chapters are mostly the world building. Since this is an early review/ impression, time will change it definitely.

The story takes a unique turn in pitting the MC in earth while everyone else is transported to another world,... more>> with the usual apocalypse and game element, I can somehow get the excitement this is getting because of it's uniqueness but as I say, it is truly too early to tell anything except that the author doesn't seem to make many mistakes and is aware if something is nonsensical. <<less

I finished this novel a few years ago and it is absolutely one of my favorites mainly for very interesting progression from the MC. He is definitely an OP character however it continues to entertain due to the fact he is always fighting people way stronger or an overwhelming number of enemies also there are crafting elements so he isnt just some clown running in fighting everything never actually accomplishing something outside of fighting. The plot develops in unexpected ways and was one of the first litrpgs I ever read... more>> that had ascension and tiered evolution. Great read and already completed so give it a shot <<less

until the last chapter which actually ended up in a harem! Ugh. So in the end of all that, he basically just f*cks and marries whoever expresses love for him, cause he's god? 🙄 And the fierce Liera just accepts it as he f*cks Na Yuna of all ppl, as well as her friends and even the succubus! Not to mention the daughters of his subordinates eventually. I just really wanted it wring the authors neck at this point.

Some characters, like Kang Mirae and Liera deserved better than sharing the same d*ck (no matter how divine it is)

The end just seemed like a middle graders fantasy. Wish I could have not read those last few chapters

Spoiler

After reading a few reviews, I have yet to encounter any complaints concerning the harem. Edit 2 (at least his was true in the higher rated reviews. I've read more of them since initial posting of review) Maybe its a me thing. I'm usually not a fan of the trope, but I am generally OK with it if story is in an ancient setting, cause really, they don't know better. Having read it in such a modern adaptation, with such a seemingly smart character, has put a real bitter taste in my mouth, that altered the flavour towards the end.

[collapse]
The MC was pretty much aware that he was the MC, as such, he was able to analyse and prepare for foreshadows that popped out. Story was a unique take on the genre.

Translations were excellent, though the editing could have used some work. Great story to read about an extra OP character <<less

Do you like Overgeared? Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint ? Second Coming of Gluttony ? So... This novel has a little bit of all of them, now... If she manages to mix it well, that's another story...
-
Story ★★★★★ - PLOT, World-Building and of course the system behind the powers, I thought it was fantastic but, the problem with the work is just below.
-
Character ★ - The character development is weak, even more so considering what the MC becomes at the end, he even reflects a little on his trajectory, but it's that kind of "I don't regret" thinking, since in several moments, his reaction could have been much better, is the type of person who doesn't think about the future but only about the now.
- About the Harem, with the exception of one character, the rest is debatable and in some cases even forced because they fell in love and others are totally unnecessary.
- This part isn't even a spoiler because it's at the beginning of the WN, it is said that the MC traveled to several countries and read the most varied types of books, but his actions when "sh*t happens", is from someone who has learned nothing from his reading, an example of this is in spoilers.
Here is a spoiler about VARIOUS details of the WN, read with that in mind.
Spoiler

- Do you sometimes even think he's s*upid? Because he comes with the speech of wanting to "help the people from earth", some of his actions are very bad and of course generate CONSEQUENCES, it's something like "MC decided to do X" but you, as a reader, imagine what that would entail, the Author even puts the consequences, BUT, the MC doesn't reflect at any point on his actions because "duh I'm lonely, f*ck I don't care", and we have other points where there could have been a development and nothing happens.
- About the 1st son, I even thought that the MC would have a development from that, but nothing happens, besides the son being a very boring character.
- The MC's plot armor is gigantic, the MC is practically a Korean Batman, he is prepared for anything, because conveniently what he "crafted" served for that purpose, this is even taken in a comedy tone in the work, the sense of " risk" is practically non-existent.
- In this work there are beings who lived many years, they are even older than the MC himself, but they are all conveniently DUMB to make the MC smart, combine this with the point above, the MC practically becomes an Immortal simply because "he was prepared " and conveniently what he did even for not caring, turns into something great.
- Another point is because the MC is strong, it is emphasized several times in the WN about the "Sub-Class" and the importance of their Leveling, but we are talking about a universe with entities with MANY years of life, and ABSOLUTELY NONE OF THEM, have developed no interest in these crafts is non-sense.

[collapse]
-
Enjoyment ★★★★ - I had a few laughs, the MC's creation ideas are very interesting even, the jokes end up being pretty repetitive, which is pretty "meh".
-
General ★★★ & 6 / 10- In the end, for me, the characters weighed much more in WN than the world-building, the world-building with his system is very interesting, the work is not so drawn out, and it is readable even quickly, since there are few chapters, if you already enjoy an OP character who practically doesn't care about anything and just advances like crazy, you might even end up liking and enjoying the work much more, BUT, if you want a good one character development, it may be that the WN is not for you unfortunately.
-
If you read this review thank you very much and may God bless you!

All low rated review are basically ppl who stopped reading after around 30th chapter where it was still kinda slow.
is the novel perfect? Heck no.
is it fun and nejoyable read. Yes it is. And finishing it is quite rewarding.
as any web novel it has its up and downs. Some things get repetative. Not all character are likable. And I know for some people harem is a let down, but thats just Toika being Toika.
should your read it. Absolutely! All toika writings are at the same style, but also as much they are predictable, they are also unpredictable. Read until MC goes to the world of dragons and then make your decision.
its true that characters are bland tho. But most people are acting like critics while their read list contains something like Peerles martial god, where every vilian is like the previous. Just read the god damn novel instead of reading the comments and you will find if you enjoy it for yourself
