Honestly, people that gives such low rating even though they only read up to 1-50 chapters, try reading this until ch 100 at least..

The MC is the OP 'my pace' kind of MC. Sure it's kinda boring at the beginning with all the grind and things, also some people said that the MC almost got no emotion, and kinda flat in the beginning, but just you try living ALONE in the world w/o any human relationship.. You'd be lucky to even retain your sanity..

And also some said that MC is... more>> completely obedient to what the angel said. This is definitely 100% untrue. The MC does what the angel requested to get the rewards for helping them, almost all of the rewards from the angel's 'quest' contributing a lot on building his strength. Oh and also the MC has lost all trust on the heaven since the beginning he got left alone on earth, so his relation with heaven is just friend with benefit.

Some said that the reason MC is left alone on earth is not explained.. It actually explained very clearly, that the MC has an innate skill that makes his presence almost non existing that even the god couldn't detect him.. In fact this skill is the reason why MC is so OP, 90% of his combat ability is based on this skill.

This novel feels like death march, different world with smartphone, with all the comedy and lack of seriousness. The MC is not completely OP at the beginning, even when he finished grinding and becoming stronger, he must obtained help and buffs from items and his friends to overcame even stronger enemies. The MC is not just OP w/o any kind of hardships..

The goal of the MC is clear and the story is also pretty clear. The MC is dense in a sense that he just refused to believe that anyone will be interested in him just because he's a loner since little because of his innate skill.

Overall this novel is great and not to be read seriously, but you must read until later on to truly enjoy this. <<less

Just finished catching up to the latest English translated chapter (chapter 193 as I write this) after few days of binge reading, and I wanna say that this is another Korean novel that made me hooked up to the story, besides Legendary Moonlight Sculptor. The story is almost always interesting, it keeps me entertained and I even spent countless hours in front of my phone/computer to read it.

Granted, there were few boring moments where I even thought... it was a chore to continue (Mostly post-arcs, while post-Dareu arc immediately came... more>> to my mind), but I am very glad that I did not drop it, as the story is getting better and better and I always found something to look forward into, in the story. There were some of cringy moments as well, mostly how the author tried to convey how OP the MC is, whether in battle or in other characters' reactions due to his OP-ness, but to be honest it is still not as bad as how most martial arts Chinese Novels are, so for me it is still in the acceptable range.

In conclusion this is a very enjoyable read, definitely worth investing my time in it, and I advise people who got bored and dropped this novel because of the stuffs I mentioned above to try and finish it to the latest chapters, as it is getting more and more interesting.

edit : oh yeah, I almost forgot to add that the first 40 chapters that I've read on another site was rather hard to read and digest, but the current active translators are getting better and better at translating and conveying it into English, if that is also one of your worries

I absolutely LOVE this series.

The story is entertaining, always keeping me interested and wondering what will happen next.

Of course we got some of the best moment when our MC (Yu IlHan) just breaks common sense either with crafting, training or just beating things up, and not just Earths common sense but even the angels. It just makes me laugh.

A very good novel, the MC is a loner who becomes OP after a 1000 years training. Even though he's overpowered, we can see as the MC develops during the story. He starts with the Earth's knowledge and he ends up studying even books and subjects from other worlds such as magic engineering. Being a loner he can't understand that all the girls around him have fallen for him, however this is different from japanese novels. Here the MC only cares about his well-being and if necessary he even kills... more>> humans without hesitation. There are some mysteries which bring the reader to want to know the truth behind some matters. For example who is God? No one knows it, it's an existence that is yet to be revealed. The overall novel is very good, the mc's personality is unique, there is a lot of comedy and there are many references to anime, manga and novels. <<less

In terms of technicality, this novel is far from the best. Honestly, it's your typical "bland antisocial MC who somehow managed to cheat his way out of the system" novel.

Yet it captivated me. The premise where the world itself levels up managed to grab my attention but what managed to make me stay was the author's consistency with the way he develops the system of the world he is creating unlike other authors who constantly asspulls new systems without proper background leading to it. Props to the translators too for... more>> doing a very good job.

On the downside, the majority of the supporting characters lack serious developments. They just aren't interesting enough for me to care about them although they do get their spotlight once in a while but I'm sure I won't feel anything for them when something bad happens. The author's comedy need some time to get used to but I guess it differs for everyone. I sometimes cringe with his forced comedic anime references.

I rate this highly due to the fact that I'm just a sucker for very good game-like world systems and OP MCs. This somehow reminds me of Rise of the Shield hero which I highly recommend too. For readers that do not like OP MCs, this novel will disappoint you since the MC never truly had a moment where he gets beaten down one-sidedly. But to those who enjoy well crafted novels where the author knows what he is doing, then I believe that you will enjoy this. <<less

I am actually quite disappointed.. The earlier chapters were good & had potential. I can get passed some over-exaggeration but when continuously used the quality of the story just keeps on dropping..

Spoiler

The story was good until the Orochi arc, everything pass that was just over-exaggeration & in japanese term chuunibyou-ish.. I don't even know what the author wants to do anymore with the story

[collapse]

I wouldn't really recommend this if you want a serious read. As this is pretty much a wish-fulfilling OP story with non-suspense action kind of story.. I kinda don't know how to describe it, only the word childish comes to mind.

Though I said that if your looking for an OP MC story you just need to look for this as he probably can do anything at the speed of light & I mean it literally.. <<less

Edit: this review is too harsh, I edited it from my phone and every time I saved, it bugged some how. Some things may be too general or not explained;

Making things up as you go is held as a mark of intelectual maturity in this novel, it was amusing the first 120 chapters but now I see why and how this novel became so large. This is not a serious novel. the plot and theme is clear and the phase is set; what if everything MC thinks is reality, and... more>> MC were right since the very beginning of the universe and MC is Uber strong but not really Uber strong "but stronger" and maybe super duper intelligent but without even thinking.

The result its an OK novel. That lacks a real feeling of epicness

The joy I feel reading this is more like invisible dragon than Seoul station necromancer, I would say a 3:1 ratio.

You just have to assume everything is sensational.

The plot is given, the MC knows what's he is thinking, the heroines know that MC is Uber, but they too are able to think on this Uber terms.

You think-you know what he was thinking except you didn't really. Because the MC cognition changes in the instant an artificial plot device with a cynical assumption enters the story; because not caring for the story to make sense is not only a requirement but a celebration.

The fact is that given you saw MC eating rice and sparring or hitting the fire hard, you should bknow what his process of thinking and Preparation consist of, but not only that, his hidden motivations and ramifications, are mostly self explanatory, or maybe we can give you a bromide to rationalize later etc.

This is really oxymoronic in the sense that this MC just makes everything as he goes, and everyone knows what's happening in the background[except the reader of course, than shouldn't care were this is really going], and suddenly when conflict arises everyone is a genius and thinks "yeah obviously" then Autor Proceeds to enlighten us, mere mortals; that you know he's a genius, and obvious because he read a lot, i.e he knew never before he knew because books confere omniscience thus rendering the need for explanations useless. <<less

The funniest Korean novel I have ever read. Much much much better than Legendary Moonlight sculptor because.
1. You don't see mob characters who drool after a beautiful woman every single time she makes an appearance.
2. The damn thing is just too funny even without any misunderstandings!
3. The MC is a true genius apart from the things related to love. XD

The start is a bit rocky, but other than that it's a pretty good story.

The MC is a scrub that becomes OP as hell but even so, there isn't a lack of strong enemies for him to fight. It's basically spelled out for him that he's a huge fish in a small pond, but his aspiration is to move to the great big ocean no matter what.

There's also some great comedy in this, there were quite a few times I found myself cracking up at the liberal use of Copyright... more>> material like P*kemon, Digim*n, Ir*n M*n, The H*lk, ETC along with the numerous pop-culture references, call-backs, and some of the side characters' tomfoolery.

The MC has read countless books so he's even aware of some of the tropes of the 'genre' he's in, fully predicts them, and subverts them on occasion. He's kind of like Deadpool, but the 4th wall is never broken. (It's never: 'well this is a book, so I...'. It's more: 'If this were a book, this and this would happen...' And some times it goes exactly as he says, other times it's slightly off, sometimes he's plain wrong.)

All in all, 4.5 stars... well, 5... I rounded up. <<less

I really like this story. The main character's super lonerness is hilarious, especially with how far he takes it. There are even understandable circumstances behind how it came to be, too. The main character had some pretty huge power jumps throughout the series, and it only looks like it is going to be more ridiculous in the future as well. I do want to say though, that my favorite character is not the main one, it is Erta. I love how she plays the straight man, and even though she... more>> is an angel she is getting tamed by the main character. I look forward to reading about more of their adventures. <<less

Comedy is good if you get the references. Plot idea is unique but later becomes similar to other Modern Level Up Fantasy Novel.

Well basically the plot is

Spoiler

Earth has leveled up allowing its residences access to Mana along with status, lvl up and stuff. In order to maintain balance since animals adapt faster. Humans were sent to other worlds to adapt to mana and sh*t for 10 years while time on Earth stopped just before the lvl up. Yes, every human was sent away. Except MC. MC's thin presence has reached such a lvl that even God-sama forgot about him.

And so for the first 5 chapters MC spends his time training to be OP in everything for a 1000 years while waiting for humans to return (supposed to be 10 but time axis deviation thingy made them stay in other words for 10 while MC waited in time stopped world for 1000) along with a pretty Onee-san Angel to accompany him in his solitude of course.

Humans were sent to adapt so they lost their stats but MC retained his OP ness and thus begins the story of the MC becoming even more OP while fixing all the crazy ass abnormalities on Earth (that would have long destroyed the planet if MC weren't there) as missions from the Heaven along with pretty Onee-chan Angels oF course.

[collapse]

At first the MC has a difficult to comprehend mentality despite the Author's explanations towards his train of thought. However later his personality just makes him more awesome and cooler.

No major plot holes if you exclude the time stop thingy at the beginning of the story (I mean for example computers work just fine but clocks don't cause Time is stopped ????) Later the storyline is pretty solid with adequate foreshadowing, mentions, explanations, development etc. The Author got Pro-er (?)

The beginning may be 'Ok' at first but if you're a sucker for OP MCs with cool personalities (like me) then I say go for it. Give it some time and it will give you Aderalin Rushes. <<less

This is the first novel of the dungeon genre that I picked up, and it was quite original for me. I find it very unique from the normal wuxia/xianxia fare, and I think the humor of the MC will keep readers coming back for more.

I think the important facts of the novel are the MC is OP and it seems to be a harem novel. The plot needs him to be OP, and there is still a sense of danger for him. He is very strong in almost all regards,... more>> but I don't find it detracts from the plot especially since the MC isn't a one trick pony. As for the harem, I don't find it detracts from the plot either, instead it acts to move it forward. The translators do a great job, and I greatly appreciate how they translate the author's notes as well (which I also love, because they do a great job in showing his thought process in the direction the plot took). Even though the releases are irregular, they come at an often enough pace that I am not put-off by them. This is one of best novels I am currently reading, and I hope it can continue its strong start. Great action and comedy combined with a MC who is aware of all the normal tropes makes for a great read. I would recommend this to anyone, and tell them to give it at least 20 chapters. The pace is pretty fast paced so unless the person is turned off by the novel, I don't think anyone would get bored. The author does a great job in not drawing out his chapters pointlessly like certain WN I have read *coughBTTHcough* <<less

A good read. If a dense, OP plus harem (?) MC with comedy is your favourite type of MC this is a book for you.

Unlike some of the reviewers think, I think the idea itself interesting. I have read many books similar to this one and I still find it interesting. It's amusing to see what happen if you are alone and the only one left behind while everyone else is in another world? MC's answer is wait. With so much time, he become strong and it's cool... more>> to see that. It's also interesting to see who manages to fight for the heroine seat where the MC is as dense as mercury.

Although the great sense of humour, character development, it lacks of a good plot. The main plot (of the arc?) has already shown but it wasn't good enough.

Overall the story was good with a lot of humour and joy. It brings happiness and laughter when reading. Well still in book one, the future will tell if the plot improves or not. <<less

Started off really good, and I liked how the MC became strong. However, now it has turn into the MC building different items, to be used once. The items the MC creates are either destroyed after one fight, or he builds a stronger item to replace the old item. Yet, over half a chapter is focused on how the MC is creating an item. The story is interesting enough for me to continue reading, but not as good as it started out.

So one thing I have noticed is that some people are calling this an apocalypse story its not. Its about the earth evolving and humanity with it, its about the struggle to survive and grow for everybody. The thing I like about the story is how global it is and how the whole human race is involved. Another thing I have noticed people saying is that the protagonist is 'OP' and in my opinion yeh he is pretty strong, but its not like those other novels where the main gets... more>> super powers and 1 shots everything. He had to train for a LOOOONG time and if you didn't come out a bit op then thats bad in its own right. The one bad thing I would have to say about it is the characters are a bit lacking and not really memorable and the main character is a bit of a hypocrite saying how he hates being alone and that he wants to be apart of something but then everytime someone does notice him and try's to talk to him hes like screw off. <<less

Alright boys! Listen up! This series is the real deal. Forget those generic lame ass fantasy novels with RPG element, coz this one ain't nothing like dat! The prologue and first few chapters is rather unique with slight twist and turn. Then it progressed with a true RPGish type of plot, but not like those cheap whor-- I mean cheap novels. This one is different, MC is not a crazed s*x maniac wishing to create his own harem. He's just a straightforward loner guy.

Overall I'd say the plot is refreshing,... more>> the main characters are likeable, the jokes are okay, and the potential can be seen clearly. <<less

I laughed at the first paragraph. Then cried at the second realizing how pitiful. His existance is definitely a good read especially if you wanted a new and refreshing concept no one can says no to a humor story with a lot of potential. This is a must read story even if there's only a few chapter.

Terrific series. I love the setting of the novel, the interactions between the MC and the angels, and potential progression of skills and crafting.

However, the author could do a better job with descriptions of the characters and fights. The MC interacts with so few characters. However, the few characters that he does interact with, still have little backstory and character development attached to them. The fights are also not as descriptive as the ones from, for example, The King's Avatar.

Still early though, and I still enjoy the series.

Alright, EER is a good novel, with the potential to be a very good or great novel. But rating it 5 after 8/9 chapters? Well..I just can't agree with you.

It has lots of potential, but I would say that it doesn't deserve the 5* rating for the early chapters since 5 or so chapters are mostly the world building. Since this is an early review/ impression, time will change it definitely.

The story takes a unique turn in pitting the MC in earth while everyone else is transported to another world,... more>> with the usual apocalypse and game element, I can somehow get the excitement this is getting because of it's uniqueness but as I say, it is truly too early to tell anything except that the author doesn't seem to make many mistakes and is aware if something is nonsensical. <<less

I finished this novel a few years ago and it is absolutely one of my favorites mainly for very interesting progression from the MC. He is definitely an OP character however it continues to entertain due to the fact he is always fighting people way stronger or an overwhelming number of enemies also there are crafting elements so he isnt just some clown running in fighting everything never actually accomplishing something outside of fighting. The plot develops in unexpected ways and was one of the first litrpgs I ever read... more>> that had ascension and tiered evolution. Great read and already completed so give it a shot <<less
