I really love this story. It started out as a cute and nice slice of life story with a touch of humor, but now it's rapidly developing into a deeper story with character development and a lack of plot armor! If you haven't read it, you should definitely try it at least. I'll admit, the first person POV may not always seem like the best choice, but it's still great.

Plus the translator is super nice and friendly <3 *wink wink*

This story is a little interesting. I have only read the first 9 chapters (there arent more at this time) but I am really interested in the story. I was once thinking what would I do if I was reincarnated or transported to a fantasy world and the answer I came to was NOT becoming a hero but be a side character and do something I am interested in and that are weapons. So I have a good reason to be interested in this story :D

The story is slow I... more>> find it personally funny how he counts the heroes that come to buy weapons :D Thanks to the little girls (see cover) the story has a really good cuteness effect.....

In short this is a story of a man that was transported (i think ? he could be reincarnated too I am not sure....) to a fantasy world but he understood that he isnt the hero so he opened a weapon shop and is waiting for the hero to buy a weapon from him and in the time he does that he takes care of a little girl (because for some reason he didnt find himself a wife.....).

I would recommend it for everyone that likes a slice of life novel in a fantasy world setting (i like these the most) with a seemingly OP MC (if he isnt OP he could become a thief with how many times he took someones weapon from they hands like its nothing....) <<less

Really cute story. Just a guy wanting to live a quiet life as a blacksmith while judging all the so called heroes visiting his shop. Some drama here and there but its pretty heart warming.

Would recommend reading it.

I write this review halfheartedly because that's how much I care about this series. Normally I would never leave reviews but I figured I should as a heads up to any new readers. After reading up to what is currently translated I don't think there is any point in continuing to read this story.

I gave this novel 2 stars because the writing is not bad as most web novels I've read, but I would like to believe this is partly due to the effort of the translation group and not... more>> the author. I say this because the author has no clear direction and didn't plan any of the story out. He follows the structure of isekai stories but the tone and genre of his story changes every arc to a darker and maybe even edgier tone. I am guessing this is because he "cleverly" didn't want to be like all the other isekai stories that are out there, and there are millions of them at this point. What this does to the story is cheapen the effect of any attachment I had for the characters. The story had a lot of potential and I enjoyed the slice of life arc. I was kind of okay with the change towards adventure but halfway through I lost interest because of how similar it was becoming to stories of the same genre. When I lost interest I'm sure that's when the author also lost interest and changed his story again but towards a tragic one.
The philosophy and quotes all felt like some cheap self-help the author was trying to sell me. If I wanted this much tragedy and drama I would have watched a soap opera. It's as if he is forcefully inserting tragedy to make his story interesting, creating holes in it which he tries to quickly fill with more tragedy. There's no real substance or weight to anything at this point. He could easily write off characters and plot points or go back to the original story but then what was the point to anything? The problem with this story is that the author didn't know what they wanted to do with the story they created. I don't blame him because most creators don't know but at this point I doubt any change in the story could make me continue reading it.

To anyone who disagrees with me that is also perfectly fine. You can enjoy whatever you enjoy, I'm not trying to take that away from you. To the translation team if they read this thank you for the translations so far. <<less

Very cute and interesting. Not a "fuwa fuwa" type of cute, but more like an interesting story. I hope it updates again soon~

Well I have to say this novel really impressed me. It has its slice of life, warm-hearted moments and also its serious, really cold hearted ones.

It really is a shame that apparently the translation was abandoned because I was really into it. Hope it gets picked up again.

Really liked the idea behind it. And the first volume was fun enough. However the second volume completely kills that momentum and throws a twist in that is unneeded and not entertaining to read. Feels like it becomes a completely different story, one that has little to do with the series original idea, and I doubt I'll continue following it.

Volume 2 spoiler below.

Basically the MC was summoned into this world, but into the betrayed heroes dead body. Second volume has the original owner of the body waking up and taking control again (even though he wants to stay dead). Than most of the volume devolves into him chasing after his lost romantic interest to say farewell or whatever.

Would have been far far better just having the MC deal with the problems of walking around in the heroes former body.

Honestly, I'm mixed... it felt like a Japanese slice of life style Isekai but then is evolving into the darker kind.

One advantage over the Chinese novels is that the characters often have more complexity and reasoning and they are built a bit better than the Chinese tropes that call themselves characters. I mean, these characters kinda fit tropes, but they aren't complete tropes.

But frankly, the story feel rapidly changes from a light hearted slice of life, to some dark depressing story about trying to bring the races together, though in... more>> many ways, it was obvious it'd go that route, but it still feels pretty bad.

It feels more like a Japanese Web Novel, and it starts off as those slice of life Isekai, into the darker dealing with racism Isekais (the Isekai genre itself is kinda broad if you think about it)...

This is kinda good, but also kinda... dull (?)... I feel mixed about this series. <<less

Listless and empty-feeling transfer fantasy with a boring protagonist and emotional manipulation that falls flat

Nominally a story about someone turning into a weapon shop owner, what this actually is is an episodic emotion-of-the-week story that relies on the authors ability to convincingly write newly introduced guest characters. Doesn't work, though. Our MC is bland, listless and boringly OP, a porridge Sue whose most interesting aspect of being a weapon store owner and smith is almost absent and corroded by an easy-bake cheat. He is accompanied by a token figleaf... more>> minigirl to act as a cute distraction, which is so blatant it just brings all the other flaws into focus.

The author spends too much effort on showing off how deep his story is totes going to be, then pours the whole bowl on top of the table in a big unappetizing mess. <<less

Its not 10/10 by any means, but it is a great story to come back too, or binge. Overall the plot is constantly changing, the antagonist are switching, the allies are growing and decreasing. My point is, its not a linear story at all, and you will never be able to predict when you think the story will end correctly.

The main thing that makes this story unique, is the characters. Although I wouldnt even say the characters of the story are 10/10, the new elements and puzzle pieces they slowly... more>> add to the plot is unlike any novel ive read before.

Ps, its not a story you have to be devoted to, to feel it properly. Give it a try, I bet 9/10 people that try it will enjoy it. Those that dont wont feel any loss dropping it.

EDIT: Dont be deceived by the other reveiws, the majority of them are based off the story, BEFORE the plot starts to be built. Once you get farther in your going to stop veiwing it as a slice of life, and youll start to see other aspects:

Strong to stronger, War, romance, Gods, evil gods, and so on. Aka it starts to get a lot deeper than an uncle selling wepons. <<less

Great novel. Pretty refreshing, and the author does a good job of creating an urge to read more. The translation is not the best I've seen, but it definitely conveys the story well. Would suggest 10/10 times.

Since the previous reviews didn't realy mention this in anyway, I would like people to know that this start out as a slice of life story and is relaxing but there is much more to this. After volume 1, the story start to turn dark and things starts becoming serious in a way. Tragedy. The word I can use to describe what is happening. The story also tells from people's perspective in great details, so it may be slightly long per chapter but regardless, do I recommend this? For more... more>> mature audience, I would recommend. If you can't handle tragedy, conflict, despair and other similar feelings, I would not. I would say that this is a great story. Deep and have more than what it seems. But in the end, the judgement is up to you. <<less

a story that literally morphs halfway through into something completely different.

the first half is a light hearted dude making weapons for wannabee hero's, and helping people if he feels like it, very fluffy. (4/5) The second half is extremely dramatic garbage imo, fells almost like a parody with how generic the themes are, but everything is taken so seriously. The translation is pretty good though which is always nice. (2/5)

Anyway the author probably should have just split the second half into a different novel, because it virtually has nothing... more>> to do with the first half, not a single character matters from the first half, nor does any plot point like
Spoiler

why mention the old MCs power and then not have the hero use it, like he powered up like 6 times anyway so why not make one of them make sense.>
