Bian Yi was the antagonist of a BL Novel who got his body stolen by a transmigrator.

Bian Yi became aware of that fact only after being imprisoned for more than a decade.

In this book, Bian Yi and his childhood friend Kou Li, who also happened to be the Gong Protagonist, fell in love with each other and got married. However, when Kou Li suffered a decline in his business, Bian Yi left his son and ran away. The antagonist canon fodder who ran away didn’t expect that Kou Li would be able to rise again in a few days, nor did he expect that the son he abandoned would become an absolute genius in the future.

The transmigrator was sent to the moment Bian Yi left home. He, who was well aware of the plot, and had the same face as Bian Yi, brought big bags of gifts to Bian Yi and Kou Li’s home.

The door was opened and a storm brewed into the eyes of the man at the other side of the door.

The transmigrator tilted his head, smiled at Kou Li, and said to him: “What is it? You know how hard it is to raise a kid, right? Don’t be angry with me, I brought you a present.”

Since then, both his husband and son no longer belonged to Bian Yi.

Ever since that moment, the trapped Bian Yi tried everything to escape. However, he failed to free himself every single time. In the end, he died with great resentment.

Bian Yi thought that this would be the end of his miserable life, but he never expected that a voice, who claimed to be a ‘Revenge System’, would find him.

Bian Yi then returned to the first year after being replaced.

The first thing Bian Yi did, once he came back, was to buy a knife at a supermarket and rush towards Kou Li’s house. As he held the knife against his former husband’s neck, he shouted crazily: “Are you f*cking blind?!”

There was blood dripping on the floor.

Bian Yi was pinned against the wall, and his neck was bitten roughly by that man.

Kou Li, whose lips were still stained with Bian Yi’s blood, was acting even madder than Bian Yi. When suddenly, Bian Yi heard that man’s hoarse voice ringing in his ears: “After seventeen years, you’re finally back.”

This is so good it is short but every chapter shows why the MC and ML act like that. The author did a grea job depicting the characters development.

Spoiler

i just wish I can see some extras that elaborate more of the bugs and their little sons insecticide hahahaha

Thanks for the hard work translating I'm glad this masterpiece was able to be translated in full~

This was a 9/10 for me. the only thing that kept it from being 10 out of 10 for me, there wasn't enough fluffiness like a little bit more happiness and it would have been more satisfying it's not like it's bleak but I found that was the only thing really missing. And maybe just a little bit more of a deep dive into some characters and I would have liked to see the... more>> ending of 3 villains or so but it was enough already that they got their retribution and we shouldn't focus on what happens With cannon fodder because the real villain was......... And I kind of respected that.

What I loved was the pacing it wasn't too slow even when it felt like it was just about to drag and then it got fast paced again it kept me on my toes kept me thinking and it's very much psychological and a bit effed up, but it makes sense why the characters feel that way. at no point did I feel angry or think anyone was out of line or s*upid I feel like both MC and ML were very in line with their character. I like the plot twist it made me think of these types of genres more I never really liked it in the first place, but this is a great twist that made me more interested Than the generic status quo.

Overall, I recommend it I'm probably gonna reread it again.... soon and I wish there was a sequel. <<less

The novel is very interesting and also a short read. It has similar vibes to 'After marrying an evil god' as in it views transmigration in a very negative manner. It brings forth interesting questions and I think everyone who enjoys reading transmigration novel would enjoy this novel. Since there are other better reviews I will just summarise some key points about things I was very confused by when reading it.

Summary -

Bian Yi (MC) gets into a fight with Kou Li (ML) and leaves home. He goes shopping and... more>> buys presents for Kou sen (their son) and ML and prepares to go home. But in the parking lot his surroundings suddenly change and he finds himself trapped in a white space with only a screen to provide light. Through the screen he can see what Guan Xi (transmigrator) is doing. Guan Xi replaces MC and drives home with the presents MC bought. He gives them to ML who lets him into the house. Guan Xi is intimate with ML and endangers Kou sen
Spoiler

This actually didnt happen.

[collapse]
He also begins cheating on ML with multiple other men. MC seeing all this starts to hate ML for not recognising that Guan Xi is a fake.

16 yrs later MC dies and gets reborn to 1 yr into Guan Xi replacing him and a system called the revenge system helps him escape. MC arrives on the street causing a commotion as he is a famous star. He claims to have been kidnapped and that Guan Xi is a fake replacing him. Guan Xi runs away to hide. MC goes home and upon seeing ML tries to stab him with a knife and ML chokes MC and bites his neck drawing blood. It's revealed that ML has been waiting for MC for 17 years (He has also been reborn).

Spoiler

ML hates MC for not waiting for him to help him escape and dying before ML could save him in past life. While MC hates ML for not recognizing his fake and for letting Guan Xi into the house. They both are hurting and traumatised after the incident and the book can be considered a journey of them letting the past go and learning to trust and love again.

[collapse]

First Life

Spoiler

Guan Xi was told that MC ran away from the ML and so he had to replace him. He thought MC was also a transmigrator like him and quickly accepted the role. Only after the park incident does Guan Xi start cheating in this life (This part is only told once so im not fully sure). ML knows but accepts it as he thinks MC will return if ML gets hurts enough. Towards the end of the 16 yrs ML ends up trapping Guan Xi in an island that only MC can escape from (as he believes that guan xi uses MC's body and so he doesnt want to damage it but also doesnt want to allow Guan Xi to live comfortably). MC dies right when the revenge system is formed and finds MC. ML dies and the world restarts.

[collapse]

Second Round
Spoiler

Guan Xi with no memory of first round is given the plot and told MC was going to run away from the ML. MC will end up trapped in an island in the future by ML. Guan Xi his job is to make MC's personality and life turn good. Guan Xi begins cheating on ML in the first year itself. ML is reborn to the year MC gets replaced.

MC is reborn and escapes with the help of revenge system 1 yr into guan xi replacing him. (He arrives 1 yr later than the ML)

System in 2nd round

Spoiler

Guan Xi is on the run and system finds him useless.
When MC is recording the variety show Jiang shi gets a novel which tells him that MC is ML's white moonlight and ML uses Jiang Shi as a substitute. (This part is not outright explained but I believe its the system leaving a backup with Jiang Shi)
Guan Xi is caught and a brain surgery is done on him. He wakes up and runs away with the help of his past lover.
System runs away from Guan Xi and reaches Jiang shi where it tells him it is the book. In its version of the book Jiang shi and ML belong together but Guan Xi is an outsider thats trying to steal ML away. Original MC is also an outsider and time traveler stealing ML away.

[collapse]
[collapse]

Revenge system

Spoiler

It was made by MC's and ML's child. From what I understand there were many systems he tried to make and this one must be the one successful in it. It has shielding and protection function.

[collapse]

The evil system's actual goal:

Spoiler

It's a bug that can increase levels and energy by eating from different worlds. It wants energy from the MC hating the ML. In the last life it didn't succeed because although MC saw ML being intimate with his fake and not protecting their child (both are fake scenes the system makes up) MC's hate level never reached a 100 as deep down MC still trusted him.

I finally read this and completed it! This novel has been put on my 'should be read' list for so long. From the moment I read the synopsis, to waiting for more chapters. Now, I had the time to read it. And it did not fail my expectations. It was indeed bitter but it got sweeter in the end. Yes, it was a tragedy but fortunately, fate has given them chance to be with each other for more and for sure wherever they are in the afterlife, they would still... more>> adore each other. Furthermore, I bet they would be able to meet their son once again in other worlds. I want family reunion in another life for the three, Bian Yi, Kou Li, and Kou Sen. I'm definitely would be in for a sequel. ≫=< <<less

What a wonderful story! I cried while reading this! Love the ending! I love how MC and ML reconciled and able to continue their marriage life like before the transmigration of the fake one.

Spoiler

MC and ML were the true protagonist of the world. The system created a fake story for the MC to gain and harvest the hatred from the MC, but MC still love the ML. Both MC and ML's mind was affected after everything happened that's why when they are reborn ML and MC wants to kill each other. But when the MC learned the truth he was able to understand everything was fake and realize he still love ML. Feels like MC is tsundere to ML.

I really like to novel. Would absolutely recommend it's short (in my opinion read it in two days) and you can see the mental evolution of our two protagonists.

It give me a new perspective towards transmigration stories, the questions that I never thought of "where do the owner of the body go if a transmigrator came and took his body?" and it was done without his willingness and consent because of some " higher being". On certain stories we can see that the owner of the body was willingly... more>> giving his body to the transmigrator but in this case its different because he was trapped and unwilling. <<less

Unique & stands out in the shelf of transmigrated novels. It takes on a starker tone & showcases a lot of the repercussions related to “system-transmigration” concepts. It’s angsty, there’s some dog-blood, but the outcome makes sense & it’s extremely gratifying.

You don’t often hear the perspective of the original person whose body was taken over by a foreign transmigrator. Generally, the original character is either dead or they somehow just vanished for the sake of plot. But this novel really shines in highlighting the dark reality of what it... more>> means to be truly replaced by another who has the same face & voice as yourself. It’s pretty terrifying. Plot was well-executed, the misunderstandings were solved, the plot twists made sense—overall a great novel. The romance is great. Maybe I liked it a lot because I have a soft spot for obsessive male leads. It’s a short read too, so nothing felt dragged. I wish there were more extras—especially on Jiang Shi & Jian Yi. <<less

I was sooo scared to read this one but I'm glad I did eventually read it. It does deserve the high ratings. It's a bit dark, as you can see from the synopsis and tags. I noticed that there was an mpreg tag here... more>>
Spoiler

There isn't actually mpreg as in a man getting pregnant. MC and ML do have a kid but it's clearly explained that he was a product of biotechnology (one of the main side characters Jian Yi is also famous for contributing towards the creation of this technology, in fact)

[collapse]

The plot is very refreshing and has very gloomy vibes but I kinda feel that the author was unable to capture the exact feelings of the main protagonists. I feel like it's a bit weak in the emotional aspect, it just didn't feel that angsty. However, I'll overlook that because it's a pretty short story. There are 45 chapters including the extras, and let me tell you, the plot and the twists definitely didn't deserve that.

The story was pretty good and gradually explained the actual backstory. Their past is so, so sad that it deserved some tears from me. It's just that the writing style felt a bit rushed, so it couldn't invoke the proper emotions from me. I really, really appreciate the author's dedication towards not leaving out any plotholes. They really did plan this story well.

I think my favourite part was the characters. Be it MC Bian Yi who both loves and hates the ML, Kou Li, the ML, who gave up everything including his sanity and life for the MC, Kou Sen, their child, who was wise beyond his age due to the tragedies he experienced, Jian Yi who acted like a pe*verted mixture of frivolous dandy and mad researcher but was actually a very loyal friend and a genius, or Jiang Shi, the person the system tried to parasitize but failed because of just how genuinely good the person was, I love them all.

Jiang Shi is probably my favourite character in the entire story.

Spoiler

He's the person the system chooses as a backup host. Originally, he's a very happy go lucky 18 year old who's just starting out in society. The day the system takes root in his mind is the day his hell starts. He thinks for himself and I just love how even though everybody thinks he's a silly fool, he can actually make out everything that is wrong with the system. He doesn't accept the system's task and suffers a lot of torture due to it, but he decides that he'd rather die of torture than hurt innocent people. His determination and strength makes me love him so much. He's baby.

[collapse]

Kou sen, MC and ML's baby was my second favourite character.
Spoiler

He's reincarnated too, but he acts like an actual child when he sees how jaded and broken his parents have become. He does everything silently just so that his parents can be happy. It's also hilarious that the most powerful person in this story isn't MC or ML, but their son Kou Sen. He's the one who saves the world, and doesn't even take credit for it. All he wants is for his parents to not have any regrets.

His overly powerful mind is also explained to be a result of the method of his conception. He was "created" via biotechnology, and the best genes of both his parents had been used for his creation. There's another mini plot point where he's seen as a monster by many people, just because of his genius abilities and the fact that he wasn't born via the normal method.

[collapse]

Besides that, the antagonists are also given some depth. They are rotten to the core, foolish, and greedy, and they all get their just desserts. The original transmigrator who started everything has a very gruesome ending which makes me feel a bit uncomfortable, but everything that happened was a result of his own actions.

The story is dark. Do not expect a lot of fluff. The romance is bloody, but not dogblooded. MC and ML are both crazy because of the mental torture they went through their first life, and they know they are crazy. They actively try to take care of their mental as well as physical health so that they don't worry their loved ones.

Honestly, I leaned more towards 4 stars because there were indeed quite a lot of problems in this story (short length, pace too fast, a LOT of suspension of belief etc), but Jiang Shi and Kou Sen were too lovely for me to give his any less than 5 stars. <<less

Absolutely Great Novel with well detailed Perfect ending!

Everything cleared and solved. It was truly a big relief and happiness!!!

It's not so dog blood. It's sad but we won't be buried by Sadness reading this novel. The madness MC and ML feels makes it more complex. And the deep Family feels they have gave us more Loving flavor as well.

And we Love Smart people here. Because people using their brain here, the story also not Frustrating. This is me saying my Love to Jiang Shi. ❤ This novel has the Unexpected Pleasant... more>> Surprises that made this novel even more Lovable.

The point is, this novel doesn't do any Unnecessary Drama whatsoever. Everything was well written and well reasonable. It's Worth it please do try read it!!! <<less

It is worth reading (well at least for me) , this a little bit heavy but it's not really a problem for me 'cause I'm prolly kinda sick in the head. Now that I remember thanks to this novel, I have found out why I seem to hate systems so much and I only like few of them in the stories I've read, that da*m bug is a nuisance.

I'm still mentally there!! It was a painful and yet beautiful rollercoaster . Two damaged & Traumatized people recovering together. I liked that it's both of them that got twisted not just one; that's how you know BOTH of them love each other tremendously. Nice short novel.

This novel convinced me more of why I like it sometimes when transmigrators in novels tell to their partner or close people that they are not the "original" person. Because first of all, it's unfair to assume that just because the original characters'... more>> lives are or might seems messed up that they are okay with giving up their body & life to a stranger (Personally I'm so possessive that I don't care how disorganized or botched something of mine is, if it's mine it's mine don't touch it unless I give it. Like it's my life, why you must be the one to take it and enjoy? I don't care what I do with it or don't do with it. That's mine you know) ; neither fair for their close people because somebody might be in love or simply loved that original person no matter how bad or good they were. You don't know! Even if after the transmigration and they liked you, how sure can you be that their love for you it's all yours? Can you be sure that all 100% is for you and not even 1% is due to the original? After all you won't look no different from the original if not for your soul. That's why I liked when the transmigrators tell the truth especially when they transmigrate and have a partner (husband/wife, bf/gf..), because I wanna know if the partner is okay with it and if they're loving them for them not due to the original. Sighh I hope you get a bit what I'm saying. And now after reading this book, I think I would prefer that the original characters are dead imooo haha cause now if the transmigrators go into the middle of novel I would be thinking back to this book and be like, is the original still there? Hahaha Lol. Anyway I recommend this novel, it was a breath of fresh air with systems & transmigration. <<less

i always wondered what would happen if the soul of the body whom the transmigrator have taken over isn't really gone, what then? This somehow answered my question.

this definitely a unique take on transmigration, it portrays some of the horror of it. The synopsis is a bit confusing, for me, because the male lead did know his partner is no longer the MC. The suffering was not one sided, which again was fresh. It was a very interesting read with a new take on old trope. The novel was pretty good. It was nice seeing how the MC and ML were able to reconcile their relationship even after the fake guys intervention.

Spoiler

The MCs body was taken over by another guy who had a system to support him. He spends 16 years in the body of the MC and lives as him. The MC was kidnapped in his mind ig and was held in darkness. He was able to see what was going on outside only twice in those 16 years. He sees his husband (ML) making out with the fake and sees the fake ruining his son's life and starts hating the ML. Suddenly he's back in the past to a year after this body was taken over. He escapes and exposes the fake. The MC finds that the ML knew all along that the fake was not the MC and that the images he saw of his son's ruined life were fake, controlled by the system. In the end, they capture the system and their son tortured it in his own system. Turns out the son still had his memories from his past life where he was staying to save the MC along with the ML.

Never really much review any novels I read, but this one I can't help but review it. I really love the way the plot is, making me fascinated so much. I thought there will be too much angst when I read the sypnosis which make me avoid reading it again and again, but I realised after reading it I almost miss a gem🤧, this is full of fluff to me with a bit of bitterness in it.

Although when reading transmigration novel, I always questions about where the og go and... more>> how they die. This novel makes me see it in another perspective where the og is still alive and force to see what the fake did through his body. Seeing everything but can't do anything is the cruelest torment for anyone experience it.

Really love the characters exploring all the tension, the hatred and the love and healing phase they experience. They are one of my favourite couple and family. Truly recommended it for everyone to read it. <<less

! Such a fresh take on the many reused tropes in transmigration.

Excited to be the 'chosen one' to be the main protagonist? Want to have Golden Fingers to rule the world?

You can.
But at what cost? This is the other side of the transmigration story. And it damn well tugs my heart

Aw, I used to avoid this story like a plague cause some reviewers said it's quite angsty... and since I'm allergic to angst, I don't read it. Turns out, it's not really an angsty story. I loveee the MC's attitude to the ML, his complicated feeling, his resentment, his reluctance, even when he knows that ML is not at fault, bcs sometimes ppl are just like that, feeling is irrational. It took some times for them to warm up to each other again

As a fan of transmigration and [good] QTs, I really loved this one. Showed a little dark side to taking over someone else's body and what could have happened to the original host, and the sinister intentions systems could have.

It was heartache inducing at times but I really loved it overall. I wish we could get more extras on the MC and ML's recovery and happily ever after but I understand that this wasn't meant to be super long and I still liked how the extras focused on explaining the... more>> world. <<less
