This has potential to be good so I am scoring it 4 instead of 3 which it currently deserves. High concept of the story is certainly a hook. WW2 alternate history novels can go interesting places. But so far storytelling is a bit drab. I hope it improves after these introductory chapters.

There is one issue with the translation. I don't think I need to be reminded of what luftwaffe is every chapter between paragraphs. Those T/Ns should be at the end of the chapter.

It is entertaining enough to keep me interested throughout the story, causing me to bing the whole novel in 2 days. While I wish there were more chapters, the pacing of the story and the development of the plot is good enough to end where it ended. By no means is it perfect, but it does its job well enough to ruin my sleep schedule.

There are a lot of changes in the timeline due MC's actions and it leads to very interesting paths. With most war novels, there are points... more>> where some of the battles are simplified to X number of soldiers on this side goes up against X number of soldiers and at the end of it X number of people died.

Thankfully, this novel goes a bit deeper in the tactics of certain generals and their officers to first hand experiences of soldiers on both sides (not throughout the whole battle cause that would be too many chapters, but great glimpses of the beginning, end, and some parts in the middle). MC himself didn't do much of the fighting, instead he is heavily involved in the politics and diplomatic aspects of Germany and gives positions to capable people. MC, for the most part, is confronted by problems right after he solves a problem which sometimes leads him to make desperate pleas/measures, which I find refreshing to see.

Spoiler

The only problem I kinda had was that throughout the novel, while he does assigns very capable people (his coup against hi*ler kinda saves all the important people he needs to rebuild Germany) to their ideal role. They almost always succeed their tasks, there are few battles that are lost by the Germans alone (German's allies on the other hand often suffer far more defeats with greater loss of life). Which I don't know kinda makes sense cause he isn't like hi*ler trying to micromanage things that he really doesn't know, all he can do is give suggestions on certain things (like the 8.8 mm Flak, the possible route the enemy may take) and hope that people listen (which they do most of the time).
