Amakawa Haruto died before he’d the chance to reunite with his childhood friend who disappeared five years ago. Rio, a young boy living in the slums seeks revenge for his mother who was mu*dered in cold blood in front of him when he was only five years of age.

There exists the earth many know of and there exists an alternate world. Two people, each with their own backgrounds and values. For odd reasons, the memories and personality of Haruto, one who should have died resurrects in Rio’s body. As the two are confused over their memories and personality fusing together, Rio (Haruto) decides to live in this new world.

Along with Haruto’s memories, Rio awakens an unknown but special power. If he’s to use it, it looks as if he can live a better life, but before that, Rio encountered a kidnapping which results in involving the two princesses of the Bertam Kingdom.

After saving the princesses, Rio is given a scholarship to attend the Royal Academy, a school for the rich and powerful. His background being a poor orphan who once lived in the slums, the school full of nobles was rather a detestable place to stay at.

Pls dont rate until you finish reading upto vol 3. The MC walks in his most lonesome path. Might be a harem but atleast he's not picking anyone that get closed to him. And will shoulder everything in his back for the sake of those dearest to him even the cost is another sad/lonesome memory. Thats how great his personality is. And not some OP perfect from the start as he learn through his adventure and painful experience.

i really love the story.

It's a very interesting story, idk if this just my feeling or not but it got a little of wuxia or xianxia feeling to it (just my feeling).

Seirei Gensou is one of my favorite LN beside Nidome no Yuusha, unlike other Isekai novel, Seigensou is pretty good and didn't use too much overrated references like other LN with overused jokes and references that make the story really flat. And I really like the moment when there is more yuusha from another world appear, this gave a entirely different taste from... more>> usual isekai story.

Though I don't really like the amount of harem this story got, I wish the author can make the amount of girl that appear and fall in love with MC to minimum amount. And I hope it didn't end like Arifureta which got a really good start and become a train wreck. <<less

Ok first the starting in my opinion is ok not the best or the worst, at first you may think this is about a rincarnated commner boy becoming a knight for the princess but no its not, though the story could have gone there.

Spoiler

Secondly when the MC leaves the kingdom after being falsey acuused and later on finds his origin that he is a pirnce but unofficaly. Third we later have the MC long lost love and sister come in and he does not tell them who he is. Later we find the reason why and how his love and sister (who hates her brother) came to that world. Of course becuse they were summomed to defeat the the rebillons in the empire the one that kicked Rio out correction they were dragged along during the summoning of the HERO who happens to be Haruto (Rio) sister new older step brother. Confusing I guess.

[collapse]

The reason why I like this novel was becuse I liked the plot though people did rate it low but it was bec the story could have gone in many different direction and some chapteres are crap as in boring but that is to be expected it is a web novel I acutally like the plot where Haruto who is OP FLAW LESS in a sense lost everything to the Hero (who was summoned by the empore) I mean he took his place as a brother and stole his Childhood friend in a sense though the childhood freind still loves Haruto. And I would request that the next chapter to be realsed bec it says 6 days but its been a month now and no new relase. <<less

Honestly, I woud give 4 stars if there wasn't so many people who read a few chapters and decided the whole novel is sh*t because they couldn't like the beginning.

How was said already, he is treated like tr*sh in the school arc, is too much of a pacifist, and insinting in not reveal the true to the other Earth people is really getting annoying.

But, after he leaves the school he's slowly changing, not much the pacifist part though,

Spoiler

He gets almost OP, tell one of the girls who died with him that he is Japanese too, goes berserk because of the trauma of his mother had been r*ped and decide kill the culprit (as Haruto too) and other people if needed (as always), find his grandparents and his past in this world, meets his sister and childhood friend

[collapse]
and other characters are being introduced.

The translation quality is good, the heroines are good, but the pace is a problem imo. In general is above average, but to have a opinion you need to read at least 50 chapters.

The novel is sometimes a turn off due to how the MC and the characters act.

Cons... more>>
Spoiler

-Firstly the MC is very submissive of the girl he likes [his childhood friend] while he has lots of girls who'd love to be with him, even though they know the MC likes someone else they still wish to be by his side and still try. The MC rejects them all because of this so called childhood friend who he still loves over 20 years of not meeting [includes reincarnated time]. I find it very s*upid of the MC as he'd begged his parents to go to the school of his childhood friend[this lead to his step sister hating him and his mother crying nearly everyday]. When after seeing his childhood friend with a boy he runs away then ends up dieing.-. Pretty s*upid aye but its in the PLOT. Also there was like no chance of him every meeting his childhood friend but he still clings to that love which should've faded when mixing with Rio but no its in the PLOT after all.[main point why novel bad.][Though there are other points like Rios grandfather [king] who can't control his kingdom, telling people that his daughter loved the countries hero which is why they ran away when the other country asked for her hand as to peace keeping, and also why Rio always has to have problems saying like Haruto is trying to keep his hatred locked up, which is confusing at times when they're actually one being together]

[collapse]

Pros

Spoiler

-I like how the MC is faithful to his childhood friend at the start but after he meets all the other heroines and his childhood friend.I find her too plain and s*upid for not realizing Haruto is Rio [even though she'd the idea] and Rio is s*upid too for not telling her because he fears it, if he truly felt extreme love [as I'd read] he'd have told her the right time instead of writing it in letter format to her [heard from raw spoilers].

-I like how the novel has a balance of people who hate the MC and love the MC. Also how the MC is caring at time but only cold at the right time too.

-I like how the MC runs away but he comes back to it and how most of the characters and arcs have a nice peaceful feeling but some have a trill with excitement, though some are boring but when you pass em you know why they where there for.[Though some are also pointless :P but for enjoyment]

[collapse]

-I just love how the novel, though it has its ups and downs with some stuff that can't be explained :P. <<less

Honestly the 1st volume is pretty awful however afterward it start to show it true value.

Unlike most novels are no convenient elements that make the characters a "cheat" or game element included in the story (i.e. Harem+comedy novel). This will allow us to properly see the characters' struggles, viewpoints, and true selves (a good balance of entertainment and emotional aspect).

As the story advances more mystery appear throughout the story sparking the reader's imagination. There are interesting emotional events that happen that allow the characters to develop. Although all earthlings have... more>> higher magical potential than normal humans it is only through hard work that allow them to become strong. <<less

First thing's first. I can understand why if you only read the first 20 chapters or so you would give it a negative review. Yes, our hero starts out as a punching bag. The story itself moves quite slow initially in terms of character and plot development and there is definitely some cliche harem stuff. I think at this point there are some 10 or so females that would settle down with him already. That said, I too would probably give the first 30 chapters about 2-3 stars. It's after... more>> about that point that things start picking up and the plot becomes more interesting. Furthermore, about the revenge: chill. It's not on the back burner, it's just a matter of our protagonist getting his ducks in a row. <<less

I stopped reading after a while.. I love the novel, but sadly the translation became unreadable at some point (they clearly gave up trying to proofread it, to release more chapters). Thankfully there is an official translation for the LN.

----old

I've seen someone said something about "NTR" but no there isn't one.
Spoiler

1. The first scene on "Earth" before he died wasn't NTR because we can't be sure that the male together with the 'supposed to be' heroine is actually dating her.
(on a later chapter it was mentioned that he was not but he admire her)

2. He isn't in love with the other girls that he let go/ he left alone.

[collapse]

It is actually good there is a lot of betrayal in this series sadly he doesn't desire revenge against them except for the one who killed his mother so there was really no definite goal except for survival until he turned on a certain age. Now on Chapter 60 things are getting interesting because more characters are getting involved.

Spoiler

like other reviewers mentioned this guy is way too much of a pacifist. In fact calling him a pacifist is too generous. He doesnt have to be all vengeful like the shield hero, but he is just too pathetic. Seriously? He's gonna literally take everything lying down? First he gets mocked by fellow students. All right, I can let that one go since he has the mentality of a 20 year old university student, but there is no way he doesnt feel anything from that. Then he gets misunderstood by the spirit people and is jailed unjustly without being given the chance to explain himself. All right, no idea who the f*ck would be willing to do nothing while they are being arrested but here we are, a pathetic MC for you. Just simply a boring trait for an MC. MC doesnt have to be vengeance-oriented, but he doesnt need to be a pushover either, especially since he is so omnipotent. He's literally asking other people to sh*t on him. (Well maybe not that extreme but yeah he gets pushed around a lot)

[collapse]
All in all, was a good read while waiting for other updates. Nothing super unique about it though, but there's a lot of reincarnation novels out there so meh. <<less

This was a fairly imaginative LN in the first chapters. Yes, there was a lot of cliché'd tropes like the Magic Academy, Loli Sensei, Bulied Orphan and so on. As the story progressed the cliches only got heavier and heavier. On Vol 8 it has become ridiculous, as some others pointed here, it feels more like a Shoujo novel for boys, with a s*upid giant harem without absolutely any kind of action. It is hard not to compare to Mushoku Tensei, but it lacks any of the comedy and romance... more>> of the former LN. I can't stomach a novel with a overpowered bishounen MC with a 10+ harem of cookie cut girls, indistinguishable in appearence and personality, and it only grows and grows, as in every new volume the MC goes to another country and all the females instantly fall in love with him. At this point, I would say more than 60% of the pages are about them fawning over Rio/Haruto while the 40% remaing are generic Isekai bullshit. I want at least 50% Isekai bullsh*t in my Isekai LNs. <<less

Too formal, too courteous, too OP, almost no malice & too perfect. Too much like a saint. I bet the author is a woman. Only woman fantasize about those kinda guys. Decently enjoyable when the MC is interacting with some of the characters, mainly the ones in the first part of the story. However, The MC is the biggest doormat I think I've ever seen, to the point he almost made me drop it. They excuse it by him just being polite and trying to be respectful to nobles, but he has very little emotions to the point he could be a blank slate. Basically to sum up his personality without spoilers he would be the person getting NTR'd in a... more>> hentai, and I'm talking NTR to the level that makes you feel slightly ill when reading some of his interactions with

MC remember past life, MC doesn't adapt to his actual life, MC has the beta personality (even when trying to act OP), the typical f*cking nobles, s*upid girls blaming MC for things he didn't do, some evil bastard that doesn't die, some other running things behind the scenes, full harem waiting for MC to accept it.

This novel is all about tragedy, romance, drama, and some of action and slice of life

MC a.k.a Amakawa Haruto is a definiton of gentle man he always working hard wahtever he do, nice to all people and have kind personality (in additon he's ikemene (hand some) sound's perfect rigt?) but at the same he is very awkward person he finds it difficult to express what he want.

This story is that kind of MC get miserable live even before he reicernated to isekai and try to fight that destiny (at... more>> least) I think its very not recommended to a reader that want wish fulfilling novel.

Spoiler

MC have a childhood friend named Miharu before they're parted because MC parent getting diveorced MC make a promise to back to miharu will marry her and gonna protect her his whole life to make her stopped crying

after parted with her, MC try hard to protect the promise that should been have been no power to bound anything, yet he doing his best whatever he's do from farming, kendo, academies and etc.

in the high school he beg his dad to let he enroll scholl in the town miharu live, and they're end up have same high scholl, at the enterance ceremony MC witness miharu but she is go to school with another boy make MC hestitate to call her.

at the end of enroll ceremony MC go to Miharu classroom but she already leave with boy in the morning, the day after that he go into her class room again but Miharu is not go to school today and again with that boy, this thing repeated until Miharu and the boy is in "lost" situation, despite that haruto check miharu class every day refused his friend invite to play, reject many girl that confess to him to only hope that miharu will back someday. His daily life is monotone just sutdy in the school, check miharu class, have a part time work and go home to study again, he himself did'nt realize that he haven't reallly smile in few years and that daily live go on until he became a collage student like a curse that promise bound him to not fall in love with another woman and the same time make him can't feel happy from the bottom of heart, some day the buss that he ride to collage is getting traffic accident as a result he died and reincanared to another world with name "Rio"

You think now that he reincanated he gonna get easy life with full of happiness?? Nah, nope he get more tragedies like when he new born baby his father died, when 5 years old his mother is r*ped and killed in fornt of him and the killer made a new curse named revenge, after that he must steal a food to eat, doing many dirty job to gain a place to live and etc. (There's many more) ofc there is some time he found a happiness the warm of people, the love of parent and family

[collapse]

So before you read this novel you should ask yourself are you a M or not if youre a M that enjoy all of these tragrdies yet not even oncce the problem is solved then go on read this novel if not I suggest you read the LN

What's the diffrent betwen LN/WN?MC, WN one have a Amakawa Haruto as main personality and way of thinking, but the LN one is Rio main, from diffrent MC there's many diffrent way of doing things, result of event and etc.

like in LN he reedemed Miharu from that tr*sh and have his deserved revenge to Lucius <<less

As to be expected of a Japanese isekai novel, the story plays out in a very predictable manner, full of all the usual cliches and template characters.

But so what? Cliches are cheesy? Cheese is delicious. Templates are overused and outdated? Templates are templates because they're tried and true.

Spoiler

We have here the usual, loner (but not shut-in) MC who meets 'truck-kun' on the way home from school (university, not grade school for once) and gets a free one way ticket to reincarnate as an orphan in the slums of another world, along with an unprecedented aptitude for magic. Various cliched events occur, and he (as a 7 year old commoner, homeless orphan of foreign descent) is made to attend the usual academy exclusive to children of nobles and some select high class merchants. Cliche events occur there, leading to the obligatory journey around the world as a fugitive. Countless cliches occur over his sojourn, then the mythical Yuusha are summoned from japan and bumble their way through the world. That is as far as I have read so far.

[collapse]

While the story is decent, it is poorly translated and edited at first. Then the quality of the translation and editing suddenly gets worse, 20-30 chapters in. Way worse. Most likely the work of someone who knows the english language about as well as the majority of readers who use this site know the Japanese, Korean or Chinese languages (and we wouldn't really be here if we knew those, right...?). While the quality is poor, I still very much appreciate the effort of the translator, as accurately translating anything to english is difficult to say the least, especially when you don't know english in the first place.

edit: Quality of translation improves dramatically somewhere between chapter 90-100.

edit2: Quality of translation and editing skyrockets somewhere between chapter 110-113. Sentences finally begin to follow some rules of english grammar and punctuation, more or less. No more word salad. Definitely the work of someone who actually knows english.

edit3: I realized that the quality didn't improve when I thought it did. Rather, I essentially became desensitized to the word salad after enduring so much of it. I also realized that my own speech and internal monologues started to mirror the sloppy english from this translation. Therefore, I have now dropped this series, regardless of how much I enjoy the story. And I really do (did) enjoy the story. <<less

First let me start of that this manga could possible get better later on but the beginning is a major turnoff so I will not continue reading.

This manga is boring with very little character development during the beginning chapters. Starts as MC is a boy with two souls one from Japan the other from the current world. The boy was left to fend for himself when his father disappeared and mother was mu*der. Simple enough he bumps into people (Nobles) who are looking for a princess, he saves said princess... more>> but instead of rewarding him they beat him to a pulp. All the king did was demote the person who beat him. All MC asked for is the ability to enter the academy, and that is all...

Now let me say that sure this is a noble thing to do, but as a person who just was beaten to near death you would assume that King would first be thankful for saving his daughter and second severely punish those who beat him. No the King being nonchalant about it just asks what MC wants, that is all.

So the problem with the story is the MC, he takes many times to lightly. He gives off the impression that he is a YESMAN or just a s*ave. Gets beaten does nothing about it and just takes it. MC develops no personality that just forgives everyone of their wrongdoing. If there is anything that is good from this story is that their are some people who believe in MC that he is a good person, but that is all. Story will go no where if MC does not develop any kind of sinister attitude towards people whom do evil to him or his loved ones. <<less

Eeee, cliche. The first part started getting annoying when Rio didn't do a SINGLE thing about the bullying and got blamed for literally everything. Once that bit finished it sort of seemed like a slice of life in the seirei village (i think that's what it is called). I started liking it more past that.

Also, it's unrealistic that Rio's first love from 8 years old lasted up to later when he was reincarnated. He literally still stayed loyal to Miharu when he was reincarnated and would probably never see her... more>> again.

Spoiler

I hate that Rio waited until the most inconvenient moment to try and tell Miharu he was Amakawa Haruto and of course, he didn't finish his sentence before being rudely interrupted. However, with what Rio had managed to say and the few HUNDRED hints there was Miharu should have found out. Like, 'every since x years ago I liked you' should have been a damn obvious sign but NOPE! She' still isn't sure. I get that they were reincarnated at different times which made everything confusing but she should know still.

Now he had to get the hero to send the letter to them (He couldn't tell them directly could he?) and of course the hero reads it and rips the letter then takes Miharu and his sister away. And now I'm just annoyed that Miharu still doesn't know. Read the raws after that and it took up to chapter 198 for Miharu to finally know.

[collapse]

I'm still rating it a three cause the characters are still quite likable and the story isn't bad. It just has some points that annoy me. I also have to read until the point Miharu finds out what the hero did which may be a long time in the future cause the author loves dragging this point. <<less
