Disappointing. I really like alchemy/crafting stories but this is like most of them. All the alchemy is handwaved. There is no depth to the crafting. MC throws random crap in a pot and makes anything instantly.

Outside of the crafting letdown, super average slice of life with no teeth. It's short though, not a painful read but not great either.

Ever played the 'little alchemy' mobile game? This is like that.

She can combine things with minimal effort by simply throwing them into her cauldron and get something vaguely related back out. More than that, she has the guide book as well - showing all possible combinations.

Considering her goal to live a slow life with Alchemy, this is the ultimate cheat alchemy.

Translation is only so-so. Story feels childish and boring. Seems more suited for a picture book for very young children.

There's no adventure, comedy, character development or world building. MC is living life on easy mode, but it's the boring type without any sense of wonder.

Examples of easy mode slice of life done reasonably well would be Isekai Smartphone and Death March. Unfortunately, this story fails to draw my interest.

This is... how do I say this. Rather than a slow life with mundane actions, you know, which slow life should entail, this novel is an adventure slice of life very similar to wandering witch.

But instead of being an observer like Elena, Mei is more of an involved type of character, she came in and help people without being asked. Mei as a character is more of a Mary Sue with deus ex machina powers, everything is laid out conveniently, which makes the story seems very boring.

I will patiently wait... more>> for more chapters, but I don’t expect much out of this novel. Feels bad tho, because the art is very cute. <<less
