Skyfire Avenue is a street that is 2048 meters long. There are 168 stores here, and each of the store owners is an extremely powerful adept. The Avenue does not permit any vehicles or any robots to pass through it, much less mecha. Even the patrolling police must move about on foot. This is because this is a street for pedestrians, a lane for nobles, hidden away within this high technology world. Lan Jue, the greatest of the mercenaries, code-named ‘Zeus’, has secluded himself here in Skyfire Avenue after the death of his wife. The name of his shop is “Zeus’ Jewelry Store”, and here in Skyfire Avenue, he has been given the title, Jewel Master.

A chill read. Not much to it. I like it how the story will not overpower you with too much information.

Simple and easy to understand. Felt sad because At where I am at. It became boring.

But nonetheless. I am looking forward to continue reading this again.

When I started this novel I thought I found a hidden gem - sci-fi novel with martial arts and mecha. Space exploration, politics, nobility in one word something new. Unfortunately as the story progresses its get more and more boring and predictable. Author doesn't seem to keep notes of what he wrote few chapters before so plot and the world itself is becoming inconsistent. Although story takes place mostly in space it seems one dimensional as if author in no way could take advantage of the setting.

Overall - it's ok... more>> but if you read any other good s-f it will hurt your eyes and plot is quite one dimensional. <<less

Rated it 5 stars, but I would put it at 4.5

Unique setting compared to anything else I've read, and that is its major selling point. Unfortunately beyond that, it suffers from a slow pace, unnecessary harem, and although it tries to present itself as a futuristic novel that has its own culture it really boils down into "China numba 1!" a lot of the time. Still, I think it does a great job at shifting tones and keeping the reader interested in each new arc.

Arcs are pretty different from each other

Cons:

Heavy Chinese Bias (I'd be fine if it was just that martial arts are great, but there's a lot of allegory between the East Alliance in the novel and everyone that isn't Asian is basically presented as incompetent. The reverence the characters have towards "ancient" China is also very off-putting)

Slow moving plot (especially if you are interested in the romance)

If your favorite character isn't the MC, you might not see them for a LONG time <<less

The novel has quite a unique feel on it specially for a Chinese novel that is. Some maybe annoyed because of the female lead but well as the plot goes on, you'll understand why she acts like that. Only downside is that although the MC is single minded but he didn't no how to reject. There are a lot of females that did fall in love with him yet his just keeping them close and I really feel bad for them. Lastly, about the ending, the only thing I can say is that it's "THE BOMB!". I've really become dumbfounded when the plot reveals that part. It's not that great or unique but well, just find it out yourself guys. Overall it's a good read specially if you love Romance novels.

I just love this one so much. Definitely one of the best romance I've ever read in Chinese web novels. It has development, it has tension, and it has legit healthy relationship (though not so healthy at the very beginning, which starts at something sick, but at least the plot armor kinda makes the excuse manageable.)

It has a cast of women without going harem, which is probably why there are people downvoting this one. Like, all those pretty girls and MC does not deliver the harem, what a blasphemy,... more>> right? MC's red haired best friend has something to say about that, but I can't remember it, lol. The MC stays loyal (?) to his wife, though it's hard to say what's in store for the current main love interest. About the best friends, the cast is what I love about this title as well. MC is OP by his own rights, but the side casts aren't forgettable masks that can be called by any other name without changing the plot whatsoever. I especially love the brothers, nice interaction. The bromance game between the main trio is strong, and all the BL gags really makes them the highlight of the interactions inside. It might push some people away, but I love it, lol. The details and the worldbuilding! Even at the beginning, when it starts slow, I'm glad for the enriched descriptions which, for me, is satisfying without making me bored. The drops of hints about MC's back story just makes it all the more fun to expect. Unlike MCs that start from zero to hero, an established background makes the story really distinguishable. And the sci-fi-ish background is a nice mesh up between futuristic, alien-related stuffs, then VR technology, but with hand control you'd expect from non-VR MMORPG novel titles, with power systems that's fantasy-based, and a cast of side character that I just find refreshing, especially after twists and more revelation, lol. Great and charming stuffs. I'm going to recommend readers to hold back reading after there's a good chunk of chapters to read, though. <<less

Glad I decide to read it.

One of the best novel that I read. Feel like read a novel than a web novel due to how different it from other typical web novel that are full of filler to are just reactions and repetition of stuff by author and different characters. It also did not have useless chatter that are frequently used by author to set up face slapping event.

MC is overpower from start, cool and has a good head. Not annoying and made useless decision without the right reasons. Righteous... more>> but has power to back it up. Like typical MC, he like a catalyst of thing happening and people flock to him.

Side character are good and being introduced and well developed. Evil side are not really evil just can be treat like war on resources. No harem while girls flock to him.

For plot, at this point I can say it has two major plot. Public plot and personal plot. Public plot related to his continuous development character in public and right now fight for survival for humanity. Personal plot more on his quest to find the truth about his wife death.

This novel are about high standard of living and theme like alcohol and food are frequently introduced to enrich the characters. Cultivation part are quite ok but not as polish as coiling dragon/other iet novel but has same principles like in desolate era (later chapter). The humor on this novel are quite good and easy to understand.

As usual for futuristic drama, I usually don't fact check about their theory regarding science but for alcohol and other are quite good. Even as a Muslim, it made me want to taste it.

For those who give it a 1 star, shame on you. <<less

Cool story with a cool adult MC. But if youre looking for a reincarnated xianxia story, than this probably isnt for you. Its not the kind of story where the MC starts training to get powerfull while going on an advanture.. Its futuristic, have details on cuisine, wine, and mecha.. The MC is an uber mecha pilot with uber powers of lightning and have the nickname of zeus.
