She, a renowned assassin of the 21st century, actually crossed over to become Su Manor’s most useless good-for-nothing Fourth Miss.

He, Jin Empire’s imperial highness, was an emotionless overbearing demonic tyrant with unrivaled talent.

Everyone knew that she was idiotic and good-for-nothing and bullied her as they pleased. But only he, the overbearing tyrant with the discerning eye, wouldn’t let go of her even if his life depended on it.

For the time being, let’s just see how the stubborn versus stubborn clash and play out in this good show of the chaser and the chased.

Another novel about a female assassin being transported into another body. While it's not that unique of a premise the novel still manages to pull off its own unique feel. We have the tr*shy body that she ended up in. We get to follow this ex-assassin live in this new world and see how she manages to live.

I do recommend this novel to people who liked The phoenix consort as it's almost the same premise but a bit slower to get started.

2/5 stars, I was hesitant on giving it anymore stars to be honest. I did enjoy the beginning and a few moments throughout the series but after 3 days of reading, I've given up!

The overall plot is your typical cliche soul transmigration into good-for-nothing waste in a different world and a questionable unknown background ... more>>
Spoiler

she finds out she's not the real daughter of the Su Manor, instead she's the daughter of this super beautiful and goddess-like legendary OP genius, Yan Hua with thousands of admirers and a mysterious father whom no one has a clue about. (Turns out they're gods from a different realm or whatever)

[collapse]
BUT the variations in the beginning was enough for it to stand out on its own. I especially really appreciated the time and effort the author went into creating the characters, they at least had their own individuality and I was hoping it was going to stay that way.

Sadly, it was only good up until you reach 200+ something then it just starts going downhill from there to the point of no return. It literally does just become that typical boring transmigration c-novel. Especially when they tore apart Li Yaoyao's character (I was hoping she would not disappoint as a villainess) but nope, she became that cookie cutter boo-hoo-hoo crying ass spoiled rich white lotus daughter like every other female character in here (i.e Su Qing, Su Xi, Luo Dieyi, Mo Yunqi; just a few examples that had the same characteristics) that fell victim to jealousy.

And then the fact that these annoying ass characters always somehow end up getting "saved" by some sort of other power or being THUS continues the story of being dragged on and on for countless more chapters by author, so enjoy the long ass hayride of eating sweet potatoes cause these damn c*ckroaches ain't gonna die that easily unfortunately.

Then here you have our FL, Su Luo (supposedly an assassin), constantly being saved by either ML, her Master, her divine dragon MengMeng, or her ninetailed fox, or that old man stone that she carries with her. Eventually she also loses her character and becomes one of those oh-so-beautiful-like-a-goddess but wimpy sad whiny ass little pouty girls that relies on luck and ML to save her in the end. Oh, and she's always running away from her enemies...

As for the ML, Nangong Liuyun, his devilish charm and antics in the beginning got me hooked and some of his actions were questionable but he too also eventually became your typical Chinese male god that is untouchable but treats everyone with a cold silent attitude but yet is oh so gentle and loves to spoil FL. The only thing I'm greatful for was the fact that they didn't make him too OP, he was strong but he too still had to develop and grow along side FL.
Spoiler

His power and memories of his past and true identity had been sealed for thousands of years, when they finally released the seal his memories started coming back. Turns out he's the second son of this powerful Longfeng family in another continental realm or something. MTL wasn't the the best so I had to connect the dots here and there to the best of my ability.

[collapse]

I only made it to chapter 1610 because I wanted to know more about her background and her parents. But because of the crazy amount of chapters it had... I tapped out and decided to just mtl the every few chapters until the end.

If you can grit through the long and painful chapters and repetitive descriptions of how beautiful and handsome FL and ML is, you'll eventually get to the good arcs here and there but it's gonna take a lot of patience and time. But if you're okay with everything listed above then give the novel a try. <<less

Urg the story is kind of boring. Doesn’t talk much her being a dr or how she upgrade. The lifestyle and story telling of it sound so boring to read. I thought be like The King of Hell’s Genius Pampered Wife. The good point in story is the couple and action fighting. The story take so long to go to next story. Like that 10 chp to talk about something else.

what can I say, the male lead is annoying and abusive together with his underlings who blame the MC for the bad things happening to him even tough it's obviously caused by jealous/hateful characters for the MC. And the MC is s*upid to believe that. I can write a bunch more but I can't bother about it.

Your usual cliche'd abandoned baby from a mysterious family. Grows up a waste then meets a man (ML) that is both cold and unsympathetic to others except her. A long string of envious villain girls who are either jealous of her face or her relationship with the ML.

I gave up and read the spoiler, but even the spoilers still tires me of reading. It's an endless journey of hate, jealousy damn, it overpowers the MC's progress and none of it helps me see her positive side.

I like this story, sometimes the fact that it is quite long might be bothersome because the main character tends to run away (quite a lot) and them betting on something is kind of repetitive but it is fun to see how Luo Luo gets things done. And, of course, it is kind of impossible not to like Nangon Liuyung and his demoningly charming two-faced blackbelly being.

I sure as hell recommend it!

Made an account to write this review. This novel is the one that got me into the whole Chinese reincarnation and OP female protag xianxia. When I first read this it was pretty interesting as I had never read this kind of troupe before thus I was hooked. But after the arc where the leads seperate, it completely went downhill. Let me elaborate with a list:

1. The whole old fiancé also transmigrated thing is quite interesting but the way it played out was not. And because I haven’t read this... more>> in a while I can’t remember exactly but it was mentioned that Su Lou was pregnant???? The way it panned out was to only add onto the drama. And I don’t think in the arc it was explained why the fiancé betrayed Su Lou in the first place

2. How Su Lou should of just explained to Nangong instead of crying and thinking “He’s just like the other men” Isn’t she suppose to be a strong and independent and mentally strong assassin? Then how Nangong left and she gets injured and is essentially crippled and half dead. Didn’t Nangong literally only left like 5 minutes ago????? How did he not hear the villain come isn’t he suppose to be powerful and of the 8th rank?And he comes back the second after Su Lou is injured like????

3. How even though they play the Death Mode in the palace where supposedly everybody dies but Fairy Yao Yao and literally everyone survives fine?? (I mean granted she lost a hand and her partner died but the question is why is she still alive til now) Also her partner still was in love with her even when he dies and knows her true colors

4. The old man (who Su Lou shouldn’t have provoked in the first place) legit chased the main couple for 300-400 chapters? I read the beginning of this arc in like Dec and after New Years and they were still being chased

And there are a whole bunch of other issues but these were the ones that I remember most about. I suppose there are a few good points and nice chapters at the beginning but now it’s only bad. Give it a 3 star because of old memories <<less

what made me read this long story aside from lots of comments about this is because it is under the recommendations of Genius Doctor: Black Belly Miss. the ML is faithful though he was a douche bag when he left with the Fairy when MC is weak but it eventually improved a lot. since I read the last arc before the tournament; i've read some spoilers and summaries from the translator's site. there's alot of adventures and fight scenes so...

it started really good for me but then:

    • the bi*ches always try to ruin the MC and ML's relationship;
    • there is always someone or some sl*t who wants to kill MC;
    • there are some dumb people who always do not know their limits;
    • MC seems to always been chased by lots of trouble;
    • there are a lot of geniuses in the series, it's becoming a norm;
    • the arc for each chasing is too long sometimes the fights scenes made me bored;
    • there are a lot of chapters and lots of characters to remember TwT
i'll be waiting until the ending chapter before I change my rating.

==========================

i came back after 17 months but from 1432, it's only 1789 at the moment. I think translating 10, 000+ chapters will take a lifetime since the author seems to like to prolong this with different places but same plot (someone provoke them so they retaliate theme). I got tired of reading this knowing that there's 8, 000+ chapters more to read and is still ongoing.

i do hope that after another year, the author has finished this tedious story so that we can all have the happy ending that we all want.

Grammar: 2.5~3/5
Writing: 1.5/5
Story: 3/5

Enjoying this series immensely, don't take my rating to mean this series is not enjoyable as Hell.

The grammar needs some work. While it is not as bad as most of the other translations out there, there are some glaring faults. Awkward wording/phrasing and quite a few instances of double wording. The writing style of the author is fairly rife with the usual Chinese web novel conventions of over using idioms, and reusing them over and over, and over, and over (just giving you a small... more>> taste of that tastelessness). Take this series as more of an Action-Romance novel and it becomes enjoyable. My main gripes with this series involve an over use of simile to describe how flawlessly beautiful someone's nipples might be, or how tiny their faces are... Honestly if someone's face is palm-sized... And the descriptions for smiles... Seriously, just say they gave a devilish smile, don't compare it to something else every single time someone smiles. (Also, it irritates me when a narrative sentence starts with "Didn't know why" or "Didn't know when". It's obvious who didn't know, but they are too lazy to put it in.)

Rant over. So, I'm actually really enjoying this series. It brings about some satisfaction to see a kind of slow revenge take place. Everything else is just the fluff around the good stuff. <<less

Like all novels DKC has it's good and bad points. It is truly up to personal preference.

At the beginning, this was one of my favorite novels. It was oddly refreshing to have an MC that holds back and plots and plans before using her powers. I don't know what happened to that... Su Lou is no longer sneaky at all, and that is perhaps my biggest regret.

On the other hand, we are finally getting to the meat of the story. Unresolved questions that have been around since the very... more>> beginning are finally starting to be resolved. There is always some kind of plot going on which is nice of the author. I wish the dragon was more of a plot point and less of a prop though...

Romance is meh.

One word of advice to new readers: Chapters are short so don't let the chapter count intimidate you. Super easy read ^_^ <<less

The story is actually good, I thought it was just another romantic story, but it has actually a good plot, a little slow pace to come to the plot but I have great expectations, I give it just 3 stars because I don't like the male lead, the relationship is most of him being an abusive guy and the s*upid MC falls for this, there are some chapters full of these crap of a romance, that's the part of the novel that sucks

Its okay around the beginning up to chapter 200 but as of now. Anyone that displeases the MC gets crushed like a bug regardless of the insult directly or indirectly. The romance between the MC and the demonic guy is the best part but once they’re apart, it gets pretty dull.

DKC is a likeable novel due to the female lead and the male lead. I loved how they were cruel to people who have wronged them and cold to people they don't know. It's refreshing. The male lead is a bit too forceful and the female lead is not yet as strong so i'd give this 3.7. It's a fun read.

Just ignore the flowery language. They're easy to overlook. I like how the female lead always ones up the people who wronged her. She is also very spiteful when it comes to retribution so it's quite entertaining.

At first, I did like this novel because the MC had such amazing potential and the guy was hot and domineering (which is cool in fiction but actually not that desired in real... more>> life haha). It was also pretty funny. But I disliked the way it progressed, and also got disenchanted with the mc's personality. I guess the first thing that irked me was that part where the ML doubted her. It's okay. It's pretty good, just not for me. <<less

It's okay, but like all xianxias it has a lot off annoying characters that keep coming and coming, sometimes I get the feeling that all the author does is give screentime to most annoying characters..

but it has a rather unique story, with a female MC that is really likeable, not like those sissy MCs that hide after every trouble

I swear this thing is an exception to my usual standards. Typical xianxia and xianxia logic, but with a female MC. If you enjoy Xianxia minus the damsel-female leads, this is for you. At least there's no harem tag? ≫:D

Yeah this is a four star story in my opinion. The >really< short chapters are made up by a quick turnaround time. While this story contains similar troupes as other "Assassin Girl Wakes Up As A Good For Nothing In Xianxia World" stories, it is told in a different way. The protagonist's growth isn't massive, she isn't OP, and she isn't doting on the prince like 90% of other Xianxia heroines would. That in itself gives it an extra star in my opinion; and hence why this series gets 4/5... more>> stars. It's a story that, while I am not tempted to read it as soon as I see it, I am looking forward to see where it goes <<less

It's ok.
Really short chapters (or at least seem so because of so many descriptions that the story barely flows)
This Author likes to troll alot, and play with your (reader's) feelings.
Nice story which personally appeals to me but certain parts of the story make me want to drop it (e.g. Instances where MC is placed in ridiculous situations -Extreme good luck and bad luck at the same time)
The story seems fickle, ridiculous events keep happening which takes me out of immersion of the story (Things... more>> happen because author forcefully places them into the story) <<less
