When I started reading this, I was like 'ah shit! Another hypnosis NTR bait' but I am pleasantly surprised.

The MC wants to be like the guys in hypnosis doujins but lacks the moral depravity to do so. All his "victims" are girls that had their own f*cked up circumstances which the MC was able to solve easily with hypnosis which the girls themselves are aware of subconsciously. He also seems to lack the balls to go any further than a b**bjob since he doesn't want to hurt the girls.

Overall, it... more>> is a story which is more focused on comedy than drama and there isn't any form of NTR in it which is a plus. The characters all have sufficient personality for the genre at least and there isn't any unlikable elements present.

Edit: I have now completed reading the Raw and I just wanted to say that it was a wonderful read. <<less

It's very interesting novel and people will definitely enjoy this.

MC might look like Beta rocom MC and he is a scary cat but he is very considered to his partners. It makes MC very likeable.

Just read this, you will definitely enjoy the WN. If you're worried about Dense or beta MC, don't worry, MC is very likeable.

It's a pretty fluffy take on the hypnosis phone trope. I think the psychological question of "the true self comes out in front of people unable to resist" is a mildly interesting question that the author sets up here.

I think it's good that the s*x scenes are mostly skipped over. It takes a certain level of practice and skill to pull that off even if you're good at writing other stuff and it can get repetitive quickly.

I would read if you want to see a white knight do white knight... more>> things and get rewarded for it, because some of the setups are just kind of dumb otherwise, like where he goes out of his way to expose himself and talk down the abusers and antagonists despite having no combat capacity or a backup plan other than "I have a hypnosis app in my pocket and my phone may or may not be charged enough to use it." <<less

The downsides to this story is the absence of s*x scenes and the TL is barely readable. The lack of s*x scenes is fine for me since it's a hit or miss with stories like this and they usually tend to be a miss from the stories I've read with a similar genre/ tag.

I can't really describe how good it is but one thing for sure is that it got me hooked starting from how they handled the hypnosis troupe in hentai. MC is depraved like any h**ny highschool boy,... more>> but instead of being a beta male from ecchi mangas, he actually goes along with his desires.

I hope that the story doesn't go for too long and becomes stale by adding too many women. <<less

I was really skeptical to even complete reading a chapter.

How I was mistaken.

The MC is cursed by the app by chosing girls with issues and the MC has a coscience to not ignore the girls who need help. The whole hypnosis is not absolute and has a lot of cons that will be shown in the series.

It's a harem slow-burn, but I guess the most described ones are the first three and the others are more of an afterthought. I hope the series won't drag too much to reveal the... more>> "enemy". <<less

Not bad, not great. Solid 2.5/5 I guess, maybe 3/5 if I felt generous. (No stars coz some garbage security check popped up and disabled rating for good).

It's pretty similar to The Story of a Man Who Is Reincarnated as the Shi*tiest Guy in a Doujin, making me wonder if it's a fad now to make a dark premise and subvert it in some way. I read it for harem and subversion, and was relatively satisfied on those ends, but that's pretty much all this novel is worth.

The setting is... more>> a typical "normal" setting, with minor fantasy elements, but they're not very relevant most of the time except for hypnosis. Generally I think it's okay, but it was the trope subversion and the protagonist that made this novel readable.

The plot was okay in general, but nothing special. I enjoyed it on average, but it wasn't without cringy moments.

One of the reasons why it was cringy is the protagonist. While he's a nice subversion of the genre he belongs to, and is kind of likable in various ways (he's basically a wannabe villain with a heart too soft for real villainy, though s*xual mol*station is crazy in this novel), I still don't fully like him. And the reason for it is that there is no way that he would be successful in his relationships with those girls if he wasn't attractive physically, especially the face (he seems to consider himself average, and while someone said he was attractive, it was just one remark of some random dude, and none of the girls proved it in any way). He is, at the end of the day, an immature boy still (even if he showed some signs of maturity), leading to multiple cringe or lame moments that would put those girls off in reality. I won't spoil, but you'll immediately recognize them if you read the novel. One good thing is that he can still have some restraint ultimately. All in all, we're dealing with a wish fulfillment story here, and it really shows in the male lead, because he's not a man that would have a harem in reality—more like someone who gets friendzoned no matter how much he does for women.

The harem is, well, kind of meh. We have harem present all the time (because that's the theme of the story), which is good, but their personalities aren't very developed (I guess on the level of a manga rather than an actual novel, which kind of makes sense given the most likely source of inspiration for this story). Most of the connection is relying on emotions instead, which is a good thing (definitely much better than if the author only ever relied on personalities instead), but still left something to be desired. It would be nice to know more about the girls. Like, I think less than half of them have their hobbies clearly mentioned, and each of them only has a single hobby... (Unless we count s*xual perversions as hobbies, in which case it'll be more than half). Da faq, bruh. Also, just as someone stated, pretty much the further we get with love interests in order of appearance, the less importance and characterization they have (it's not very apparent with the first three, but then becomes progressively obvious).

Overall, I think the story is nice to kill some time, but has no other type of worth whatsoever, unless you like seeing common tropes subverted. I found it difficult to read the last tenth of the story and forced myself to do it as I dislike leaving a novel unfinished, especially when I already read most of it and there's not much left.

Also, a small warning: the translation is a bit garbage (edited MTL?). It's better than reading actual MTL, and I can't be bothered to read the raws as I don't know enough kanji, but brace yourself: there's plenty of confusing subject and object in a sentence, and that's just part of it. <<less

This one surprised me. The general plot looks, especially from the summary, a lot more straightforward than it actually ends up being.

Pretty much the usual R18+ hypnosis checklist but MC is a decent person, making him a polar opposite to the usual inserts. It is almost funny how he has ED when the girls have interpersonal issues, so he just acts like the normal OP protag/knight in shining armor before doing any of the R18+ business. Without just giving a full summary, the final chapters do lose me a bit as the harem drifts towards being yandere and all magically agree to share the blockhead MC.

Short and sweet, it was surprising and the author actually tried to go beyond what one might first expect. It still had a few flaws and bits that were not the best here and there, but those elements did not really detract from the overall.

When given a standard doujin super power, the main protagonist of this story uses it to help girls with their problems. He also uses them to do le*d things.

The upside about hypnosis is that the protagonist and the girls can be honest in their conversations. The downside is that none of the girls can remember what happened. Later, the girls dream about what happened during the hypnosis. And someday, the hypnotist becomes the hypnotized.

For people expecting tragedy or a deep dive into how evil can be used to... more>> do good, this novel does not really cover that. Readers should read this expecting some le*d activities while the protagonist helps girls. <<less
