This novel is a story about mermaid, which is pretty similar to all mermaid love stories out there, but I'm still intrigued nevertheless. Fresh and interesting plot. I love the story and how it unfolds. I love the characters. Fun to read. It was well written and well translated. Totally recommended! Thank you for the author and translation team for the novel.

p.s: can't wait for the side stories hehe

I really liked this one, the story was like a roller coaster and you get immersed in it, the feelings are very profound and the characters development is truly incredible. ❤️ The ML and FL are so cute together that I wanted more scenes of them being together, 😍😍😍 and Sante too I would like to have a story from him, one of the best characters.💗

Its such a beautiful story, I love how the author portrayed each characters and their development. I just wished it was longer but I'll wait for the side stories as well.

A classic miscommunication drama that delves a lot into character headspace, but can become overwrought at times. The paragraphs are 1-2 sentences long, so not many brain cells are needed. Let the emotions carry you along for the ride. 4 stars.

I am not a fan of retellings, but this one is good. It is heartbreakingly and tragically beautiful. I love how the female lead is smart and strong. I also like the consistency of her character when it comes to her goals. She knows what she wants and actually strives to get there. I also liked how the story unraveled to the point that it kept me wanting to read more (and made me lose sleep lol). I love how emotionally evoking this story was written. I admire Translator Yonnee... more>> for being able to translate this novel superbly, as she was able to make me feel raw emotions from what I was reading. For the novel itself, I am giving this a 4.5-star rating, and for Translator Yonnee, I am giving this a 5-star rating. <<less

I stumbled upon this one when I was searching for angst romance genre. Although there was angst it wasn't between FL and ML (they're cute every time they're together). If you like strong FL this one's for you. Like you will fall in love with Ophelia. Add the most powerful mage, head of sirens, mermaids and a clingy ex (who has every potential to the a lead in angsty romance) but as I said our FL has strong resolve. She's dedicated to her goal while being kind to people... more>> who care. And the secrets unveiling every chapter was just perfect.

I definitely came for romance but stayed for the plot and interesting characters. I still feel that the author should have give us more of Ophelia and Alei peaceful life together. They were so cute it's unfair. Like the whole thing happened cuz of love. I really hope the side stories will fulfill my wishes. <<less

I loved it, its written so well

I sobbed and then laughed and then sobbed and finally felt relieved and healed.

I've read soooo many books and mangas/manhwas I've list count but this one I'll remember for sure.

Secondly, I couldn’t understand what the author wanted to do with the ex-husband and the second male lead. I couldn’t even bother to like the second male lead because his romantic interest was quite shallow, which can also be applied to the ex-husband. Ex:

the whole “also going back in time to realize I love you after a life of wholeheartedly disregarding you over nothing” plot that was pushed onto him??

Like really what was the point in giving her this borderline mini harem?

And finally, likewise to some of the previous reviews, there’s so much dialogue just for the plot to BARELY move. There’s some form of communication every now and then between the two leads, but it kinda doesn’t go anywhere when one is hiding a really important piece of the puzzle? So pretty much it’s a major waste of reading time. Wouldn’t recommend this unless you’re someone who can sit through a tedious amount of chapters. <<less
