I think there are some good points and bad points like all novels.

I enjoy the different setting this is in as normally these kinds of transmigration are always in a fantasy setting. There's a few tropes too like misunderstandings, etc. Overall, nothing truly new, but is different and unique enough that it can be enjoyable if the tags like harem and others fit your bill.

THE PROBLEM is this s*upid ass mtl shit. There is 0 proof reading and I swear they threw the raws into chatgpt and just released it... more>> as is.
Pronouns are inconsistent as f*ck. You don't know who is who, whose perspective, who people are talking about. It's a god dam puzzle.

Many parts of the story have some repeats for some god dam reason. Entire sections of the chapter are duplicated, but mtl in a different way making it difficult to follow wtf is going on.

It feels like it wasn't always like that either. I don't remember seeing it in the beginning of the novel. Regardless, the translation quality is unreliable.

There is more, but I don't want to get too far into nitpicking. My conclusion is that, given the tags, know what you are getting into and suffer through what feels like mtl. If you can get through those it should be worth some time. <<less

Ok these one star or two star reviews are tr*sh, this is literally a 4-5 star novel, the characters are well written with good personalities, the storyline of how the protagonist stops all the calamities is perfection.

The repeated interactions with the heroine is OBVIOUSLY a villain to hero event as you should EXPECT FOR A ANTI-HERO, cause a disaster, do some damage and run away, heroine gets a bit stronger than in the original story. Profit

What do you idiots who complain about that want him to do, get caught?? Kill... more>> the LITERAL savior of the story? Seriously worst complaints I’ve ever seen In my life. <<less

Every man should understand that simping has a limit. This man has reached that limit, destroyed it, gorilla glued it back together, gave it countless paper cuts, and then dumped it in vinegar. I never knew that the average Korean citizen was a crazed psychopath with no qualms about killing people. I LOVE IT!!! I was super skeptical at first thinking this would be another generic "reincarnated as villain" novel, and maybe it is, but I still really enjoy it.

The MC is pleasantly crazy, and the supporting characters and their... more>> interactions with the MC are exciting and entertaining. Not to mention the live chats. Everyone loves those, right?

This story is definitely not for everyone, but I enjoy it so that means that the story is objectively a masterpiece. I can only pray that the story doesn't turn to sh*t later. <<less

tl;dr: 78 chapters of build up is about to bear fruit

Gentlemen, we are on the verge of greatness. I don't normally leave this type of review, but the potential here can not be ignored.

I am the yandere checker. I check series with the yandere tag if they actually have yanderes in them. This chapter, we find ourselves on the verge of that question being answered. For nearly 80 chapters, there have been no yanderes, but this most tecent chapter has changed that. If ... more>>

, it will with out doubt be one of the greatest payoffs for build up of many if not all yanderes on this site. I may honestly drop the series, despite how amazing it is, if the auther blue balls me here. <<less

I can't pinpoint why exactly but with current chapters I don't like it. I literally forced myself to read it cause you know the good reviews yet I wasn't immersed in the story at any point.

First we find a normal guy who is isekaied into a comic (no backstory whatsoever) and repeatedly saying he was normal now he acts like a villian and klls people easly etc... Does author know that becoming a villian is a process and requires some skills not easy to learn? And he turns villian for... more>> what? for simping a girl and make her look good?

Sorry I find this story only cringy and not for the simping part but how unrealisticly MC acts doing stuff on level of Kim Jhon Wick yet before being only a normal dude.. <<less

HOW THE HELL THIS HAS 4.0 RATING. DID WE ALL READ THE SAME NOVEL? I really wish when making reviews people would at least be more brief and quick to the point. The novel is called "I Became The Villain The Hero Is Obsessed With", I have yet to see the yandere part and I am close 100 chapters. One of the reviewer "WE ARE EVEN CLOSE TO THE GREATNESS" yet nothing sort of that happened.

-People should make review based on the chapters that are translated not the raws. Before... more>> I am done making this review, we all came here to read this novel because Yandere and obsessive love tags. As of now, I am at chapter 98 and I still have to see anything remotely close to romance in this novel. Also, this novel needs a harem tag, although, MC only loves female protagonist, however, he is surrounded by girls only. You would think maybe world building might be the saving grace, but it is the just the most cringeworthy novel I have seen. MC is basically a comic nerd who is crazy for this female heroine and becomes villain to develop her. Later, he gets a companion who is a healer and can even bring dead people back to life which just devoid the story from all the tension. What the heck author was even thinking?

Conclusion:- 0/5 but forced to give 1. <<less

Can't really recommend this, info dumps out of nowhere, names that can be easily forgotten, sentences that didn't even make sense, weirdo protagonist, s*upid faceless Millenials audience in the story, light rascism, side character personality all jumble up...

It was alright at first, but now I just find myself forcing to continue reading it.

It's so cringey and the MC has some goofy ass costume along with goofy dialogues that I personally just can't take it.

Also, every arc feels repetitive, it's the same thing over and over again, MC commits terrorism, the girl saves the day, no one dies, everyone loves him yatta yatta. Theres no anticipation for what's to come.

I am not seeing the appeal of this series at all. The protagonist is a creepy stalker who constantly talks about how great this beautiful hero is and how he wants to protect her. He kills off the villains that would've commited mass mu*der and replaced them with himself as he performs various crimes designed not to cause mu*der and get foiled by the hero.

His acting is terrible. Whenever he confronts the hero he starts this exagerated and hollow acting where he says things like "how can this be. People... more>> aren't like this." etc. All the while he's inner monologuing about how amazing the hero is and how beautiful she is.

I won't leave a score as I didn't read that much and I can't even comprehend the appeal of this series, little ole, put a score on it. Clearly it has a large audience. So maybe it just isn't for me. <<less

After a while the "translator" at GalaxyTL stopped editing the MTL. Dropped.

Which is a shame because it's been consistently fun and funny throughout the run, while giving plenty of foreshadowing of events that make me want to see what happens next, but after a certain point chapters have almost every single pronoun wrong, s*upid mistakes with character names (Icicle becomes "ice cool"), sections repeated, etc. I'm sure that with less effort spent translating the MTL I would have been able to enjoy it as a rare 5 star...

What if a Simp suddenly wakes up in a world where he can now meet his Fictional Idol? Be a Villain of Course!

Hello and welcome to my Review of this novel

I've been reading this novel, even went ahead to the MTL to read more due to how I love this novel.

... more>> The follows the two characters, Da-in (Egoistic) and Shin Haru (Stardust) in their back and forth battles against each other as heroes and Villains. A simple cliche we can all follow and not complex to people who follow this novel.

What makes this novel Interesting is how their relationship bloom due to the Egoistic giving hints of suspicion which Stardust became curious to even obsessed with finding the truth of her Archnemesis.

Their banters became my sole interest in reading while being curious of the ongoing mystery of why our protagonist want to become a Villain.

Characters:

While I find most Reviews to be correct in the author not focusing enough on the other heroines in the story, I slowly understood that this novel solely focuses on the two people in the story. This is more that this author isn't planning on writing a harem but the relationship between the protagonist (Egoistic) and the heroine (Stardust).

Da-in (or his Villain Name Egoistic) is a transmigrator who ended up reincarnating in his favorite comic book and ended up becoming a Villain to his favorite Superhero Stardust (or Real Name Shin Haru).

Determined, focused and goal-oriented that wants to give a happy ending to his idol after learning that in the comic book, her story would only go bad as time goes on, even went as far as to break her which he plans to stop by being her Archnemesis. While he does create a harem, his only goal is to raise his favorite superhero to the point where he would risk his life just to protect and raise her to be strong enough to protect the world.

While he has two superpowers, the same as his idol, he isn't powerful enough to make his idol strong enough which he decides to recuit a group of potential Villains to become Stardust's stepping stone. He does end up changing them for the good yet he prioritize to raise his idol rather than his own life which can be seen at how many times he gets into near death situations.

Now lets talk about Stardust. She is the Heroine of the story and the central goal of Egoistic into becoming a Villain. At first, she became suspicious of his actions. Yet as time goes on, the more she realize at how she slowly became obssessed with her Archnemesis, Egoistic. She start out just like a typical Superhero yet she became more and more curious into finding the secret of Egoistic and his actions to the point where it became an obssession to find the truth, even feeling jealous and other complex emotions towards her enemy.

She goes through to find the truth of her Villain and slowly develops feelings and even her view of him as just being a Villain became more of an obsession after the later parts of the story.

Plot:

Reincarnated into a comic book and wanting to help his favorite comic book character, he donnes a villain outfit and show up to clean the troublesome and dangerous enemies while at the same time using Terrorism as a way to help her grow her superpowers to fight off strong enemies she would handle in the future. Yet due to his actions, it cause people and even Stardust to see him more as an Anti-hero rather than a Villain which she became curious as to why he was doing this.

This goes back and forth until she became obssessed with him.

As the story goes on, we can see how crazy the story gets with powerful Villains, events where he can't stop by himself which he uses his future knowledge to recruit future villains to his side or getting powerful items to help in his Terrorism.

Yet this novel solely focuses on the relationship between Egoistic and Stardust, both not knowing that their obsessions with one another became the cause of them slowly falling with each other as time goes on.

Review:

It might be them that is obsessed with the story. XD

Well, I slowly been enjoying this story so much and I want to know more about this duo. Their comedic banters, how Stardust grew jealous while at the same time laugh at how crazy this fanboy of a Villain Egoistic is.

The story is still ongoing while wanting to know how this story ends so I can't tell much at how the ending will go.

I might either be satisfied or feel sick but I want to at least understand that I come to love this novel the more I read it. <<less

the MC is a deranged stalker turned serial killer the moment he found out his waifu was real. There's a bit of morbid curiosity in how the author characterizes such a f*cked up person, but in the end he tries to mix the Joker with the typical underdog protagonist of this type of hero-action novels, and it all just feels off.

also it's overall super cringe all the time for no reason

Love the novel so far. I can see a lot of potential from the originality. It also feels more modern with the hero genre where reputation is influenced by the media. The live streaming and the reactions of the chat are hilarious.

I especially like an MC with standards. I look forward to more of his interactions with the hero. Till then I will keep waiting for chapter uploads of our beloved Mango stick-I meant Egostic.

This is a lazily written, cringe, badly translated, and absolutely hilarious novel.

A lot of the things are vague defined as to be flexible for the author. There are also some things that just does not make sense or are too convenient for the plot, but that is actually part of its charm

When you read this novel, you'll probably hate it at first. It's cringe, it's convenient, it's dumb, and it's just not very well-written. But because of this, the author is able to write whatever he wants. You'll get used... more>> to it after a while, the cringe become just a part of the experience, the stuffs the protagonist pulls off became hilarious, and its just so fun and braindead to read. The author makes a lot of jokes, writes a lot of crazy stuff, and it's just some good fun. And... uhh, that's all.

Sadly. reading this novel has degraded my few remaining braincells. Even I don't know why I am reading this novel.

Oh, and also. This novel has a few jokes that are parodies of Korean patriotism which titles their videos like "The U.S. is shocked! Japan has bowed their head! Europe just sh*t themselves! At the Korean hero who managed to stop the overpowered villain!" thingy, which a lot of people doesn't seem to get. These are actually jokes, not nationalism. <<less

Was excited to read something about a villain but he's so boring. Very hamfisted, he just there and decides to be a bad guy. Only thing he kills are villains, and his larping as a bad guy is cringe. He simps for hero who is touched by creepy stalker dude who is just lame. Wish fullfiment as the MC is super popular even though he's done nothing remarkable

Not a great novel to be honest but it can be read just for comedy.

As always author gives various reasons one after another just to make MC weak, but other characters can become strong just cause of it.... more>>
Spoiler

Author even gave him a 'power up' my a** He almost never used it and its not even his power.I 'atleast' expected it to be able to amplify his abilities or speed up his recovery process but ? No, the only thing it does is power up his 'punches' and defense Well I don't need to mention it is "unnecessary" right ?

[collapse]

MC is so overly dense and he never learns.

There is unnecessary drama, MC is overly simp.
Spoiler

Like he has so many people to care for who love him as well but he is always "i live for stardust, I'm nothing without you" etc.

[collapse]
I'm not saying he shouldn't care for Stardus but atleast he sould be a little more careful with his actions.

And the biggest minus for me is:Its gets overly repetitive. For example:

-Mango stick causes terrorism.

-Stardust sees it from broadcast and comes.

*Conservations*

-Mango stick:HAHAHA, well then I'm leaving.

-After that Stardust gets suspicious over his identify blah blah* and arrives at the same answer. And same thing again and again.

This story can be read just to pass time but don't expect anyting great from it. It got boring for me around chapter 110-120.

Btw Stardust is so hot in illustration.

And about his power, What do you guys expect from telekinesis ? I'm sure some of you guys have great image power but for me it should be able to atleast lift buildings, lift people, lift cars and various kinds but our MC ? yeah he can atleast make a car 'stop' for a moment and he renders useless...I'm not saying he should be op but atleast he should be at the level of appropriate strengh. With this its just so dissapointing.
Spoiler

In fact the only thing he can do in latest chapters is only running away with his teleportation. What, behemoth ?Its already forgotten. hm ? Telekinesis you say ? Well atleast it is useful "sometimes".

Simply amazing.
After reading through 425 chapters, I can confidently say that this is one of the best novels I have read to date. The author always makes sure that the story stays fresh, characters don't feel boring and romance is good. The main character is smart, he doesn't do pointless things nor is he lazy; he has a goal and he does his absolute best to achieve it with what little power he has.

Overall, I would recommend this novel to anyone looking for something to keep them occupied for a bit.
10/10, thank you for reading.

For this series, it’s either you love it or you hate it. MC is someone mildly crazy trying to play villain in a society that’s clinically insane. The writing is a little bit... numb if you know what I’m talking about. It’s like he’s telling his own story through a book, but living in it at the same time. However, slowly starts getting more vibrant as he gathers his villain gang and meets with stardust. What I love about this series is how the villain is a bit s*upid and extra. Obvious flaws in some plans, things he didn’t have to do and idiotic actions you can’t help but to laugh to; they really make this series charming for me. I guess some people hate this part. The story’s a nice “Turn Your Brain Off and Enjoy the Ride” type thing.

I can't wait for updates that I went to MTL, and even with gibberish MTL I still able to enjoy it. That alone means the story itself is well-written and engaging enough that bad translation can't stop me (which usually does).

The story is not a masterpiece, but it is well written and not stagnant. There's clear ending and Author didn't drag it out like most "popular" pieces, which is big points in my opinion.

It is quite rare to find MC that has backbone, actually work hard, and stay relatively humble... more>> in this sea of "wish fulfillment cheats" (mostly JP) and "a**holes when get stronger" (like some KR and CN protag). <<less

I enjoyed this series a lot but stopped reading it because the TL just continued posting unedited or barely edited mtl and it was really difficult to follow the plot when multiple paragraphs would repeat and characters genders, or who was the one talking, or who is the subject of a sentence were all unclear or literally the opposite of what they should be. There is a new TL now starting from scratch and from the 3 chapters I read it is much better so I recommend reading that.

The story... more>> is a bit drawn out and personally I would cut some of the later villain team members out since they barely add anything, but it starts off pretty strong. New TL is writing sentences which are not just coherent but actual literature so it should be much easier to read now, but I would warn new readers
Spoiler

that the MC and main heroine have not gotten together until how far I read, and it doesn't seem like they'll do so anytime soon, which is quite frustrating after how the story starts.

[collapse]

My other nitpick is the author forgot that they wrote the MC straight up mu*dering people at the start of the story and writing messages in blood, since now everyone thinks MC is a good guy and is just pretending to be bad, and this gag is repeated a lot. <<less
