Together with his childhood friends, Krai shares the dream of becoming a hunter. On their first expedition he notices that out of the six of them, he is the only one without any talent.

However, that was only the beginning of their adventures.

If you think this is just another copy "To be the power in the Shadow" or typical trope of misunderstand MC or lucky MC with 999 stat in Luck or sth.

You are sadly mistaken, there are indeed some misunderstanding here and there. But the MC himself in an oddity, he is the weirdest one, the most reckless one in the whole novel. Not just the way he act, it is inside the way his thinking. He is just simply too weird with his thinking, he is also batsh*t insane too.

To... more>> be honest, the author intend to write a weak MC but later he inject the MC with suicidal, abnormal, insane thinking.

If you truly read novel, you will see how an insane person manage to make everyone near him turn insane too. <<less

Although the story might appeal to some people, IMO the MC is too pathetic for me to keep reading. He's not even a traditional beta male - he's in an abusive relationship with his childhood friends, where the friends tell him that they'll give up on their dreams and potential if he stops traveling with them. The MC hates fighting and can only feel comfortable fighting even low level monsters if he has dozens of protective amulets on him, but his Stockholm syndrome is so fleshed out that he sacrifices... more>> his own wellbeing so his friends continue on their current path. If the MC was doing so voluntarily, that would be one thing, but his friends throw temper tantrums (to the point to killing bystanders, it seems) and guilt trip him into believing that staying is his only choice. The fact that this is played for laughs doesn't really sit right with me, so I'll be dropping it here. I imagine some might enjoy the novel if they can get past the abusive relationship part, though? <<less

it gets pretty boring.

basically you have a level 8 hunter, which is pretty awesome. However, he got it because he got carried by his childhood friends. He does something, everyone thinks hes awesome and then he gets into trouble. Somehow it gets solved (usually by his child hood friends). He basically shirks all responsibility, and sends all work to someone else. Basically like any corporate job. This gets rinse and repeated twice. I bet its going to be rinsed and repeated multiple more times. Its fun at first but it... more>> gets annoying quite fast. <<less

The novel is good. But some things are not clear. MC is too dense, it will be great to have him bluff sometime or makes him look great. Rating is 4 because the plot is good. I hope it won't get s*upid like "I Got Reincarnated And Mistaken As A Genius?" where MC is get over-limit misunderstood which make me dislike the novel later.

MC is likable, plot is good. Hope the author will tell us hot he got ranked and other side characters POV as well.

Read the novel for a while and drop it.

Then found the manga, read it for a while till it get soo cringe that it crossed the line of my bottom line, and drop it too.

Idk if this one have anime adaptation but I won't watch it after the manga experience.

... more>> Misunderstand MC theme but although he have some skill (in guild management and training others), he always said he don't, also although he can't fight like his comrades but he is better in guild management.

Idk why he always though himself as "weak" while his body full of artifacts and his body at least as strong as average veteran adventurers.. *Facepalm*

not in this novel we have to put the puzzle together by us readers, no one explains what and how it can happen, and every point of view has their own theory, Especially when in the escort arc, where cry looks like releasing Shisui, so that he is killed by Baa san, while from the emperor's point of view it seems like Cry is deliberately releasing them because there are Another more important matter, and from the point of view of the fox cry just wants to meet the lost... more>> inn <<less

starts off a bit slow but gets increasingly better as the series goes on. The whole plot revolves around the MC's absurd luck to the point his random ramblings turns out to make him a prophet and despite being incredibly weak his carefree attitude and the way everyone near him ends up in a life or death situation makes it a hilarious series. If u don't like the MC you probably won't like the series but if u do it's really hilarious how badly he gets into people's heads without... more>> any conscious effort. <<less

A good read but later on... The author just make the MC even more dumb.

I was laughing at first because it was written well at the beginning that the MC is really dumb (because he has his own ideas and perspective in the matter) and makes decisions based on his perspective (basically, on others perspective, it's his whims) Coincidentally, his whims are on spot.

I don't expect for a character progression so I could reach this far but... Later on, the author just ran out ideas (I think?) and makes the... more>> MC do more reckless decisions.

There's spoiler below so read at your own risk:

The arc for his "vacation"... The author just made him like a walking disaster. I was expecting a sudden revelation why those problems occurs all of a sudden, but... Nah, there's no reason at all. In short, he just passed the roads and troubles showed up.

The appearance of his friends are really only for convenience. Plot Armor. Sometimes they're gone, sometimes they're present. Anyway, his childhood friends are "too" convenient in the later chapters. If you find it too convenient at the beginning, then it will worsen further.

At the Arc when he became the escort of the King... That's where I lost interest. I really hated how the author made the MC recklessly take the flying carpet without hearing that the request was to be escort of the King.

What's more, his sister, Lucia, gave reasonable reasons to him that he doesn't need it. Heck, if he just want to fly, he has a lot of options. In fact, with Lucia, I believe he could even request her to give him a flight ability whatever the method. But no, the author just made the MC, that he really want that Flying Carpet because he likes it. And now what? Trouble came on their way. (If the king requested him to become his escort because the MC is Level 8 with good record and his trustworthiness... In addition to that, the MC can't refuse the king's request because it's impolite or he got scared (on his perspective) of the consequences if he refuse. Then that would be interesting to read.)

LightNovels with genre of misunderstanding is really entertaining if the decision of the protagonist is reasonable in his perspective (even he is s*upid) BUT... Trouble still comes on his way but solved in the end.

If the trouble "starts" BECAUSE of the reckless ideas, decision or actions of the MC (selfish MC), although he had other better options. Nah... I'm out.

I was greatly disappointed in the author as I expect much from him but... Sigh, it can't be helped. <<less

So much potential in this story; a big variety of characters that have unique personalities and interesting conflicts that create tension within the story. Unfortunately, the whole premise of the MC being weak and getting bailed out by luck/his op friends doesn’t quite land, mainly because the MC has room temperature IQ. I kind of get what the author is going for, an absurdist plot that is more satirical and humorous than serious, but the author doesn’t quite do it right and you end up more enraged at the MC... more>> rather than laughing at him. <<less

Hmm how do I say this... started off strong and lost its touch.

The beginning of the novel was like a breathe of fresh air.. you got your yandere characters that love the MC to the bone. A unfortunate MC that has achievements pile up without his intervention and is feared/respected by fellow hunters. I'd say it takes a nose dive around the "vacation arc" because after that it starts to focus on one heroine and completely abandons the other 3, after so much time invested you would think there would... more>> still be some mention of them. I dunno how to explain it, the whole gag premise the novel has quickly becomes bland due to the repeated hammering of it without a satisfactory explanation. It's along the lines of being there to progress the plot out of nowhere, too sudden I'd say? I don't know, I do recommend it for a time killer its not horrible by any means but the author loses their wanted direction mid story. I'll just wait and see if it gets better. <<less
