Had to drop it early. I'm sorry, but there's a limit to my suspension of disbelief; the MC is three years old, and you want me to imagine him lifting and restraining adults, buying s*aves, and teaching his mother how to fight? He's a toddler, for crying out loud. The writing leaves much to be desired. Intro is like ATG, TTNH, and Doluo where the MC gets surrounded by a large number of experts and dies, but is fairly unimpressive in comparison. His only motivation to get back to his... more>> original world is to reunite with a girl, and this is written in an extremely forced way, almost like an afterthought.

Characterization is very, very weak. Every person in the novel, including the MC, has only the most basic, predictable and generic personality for their role. Many moments made me cringe, such as one of his s*aves actually crying before a duel just because he was called a friend. There's no real pacing to be seen. As generic as the inter-clan conflict arc might be, it's also ridiculous how conveniently it was resolved, so a poor buildup somehow led to an even more unsatisfying conclusion. Also, how is being an ordinary sect disciple somehow far more illustrious than being the "mere" head of their clan, if that position is apparently important enough to put them in charge of millions of troops? All in all, the only thing I didn't find boring was him making talismans. But that's not enough to salvage such a bad start. <<less

some of the most contrived BS I've ever read. The author doesn’t even try to hide the “Strokes of fortune” the MC has. I don’t recommend reading this.
Spoiler

Chapter 25-26 assassin poisons MC – MC drinks and is blood no longer affected by poison, Wise mentor says "you need to subdue this assassin to your cause." Then poof MC talks to assassin, and assassin says “You are now my husband because you drank my blood, (she is a gorgeous 17 year old by the way) the only way you can avoid it is by letting me kill you!” And MC ofc says “OH no, I can’t let you kill me! Whatever shall I do?”

Whereas I said, f*ck this garbage, im done. GG.

Really impressive at first. It takes the good points of CSG, ST and PMG but doesn’t make the same mistakes.

What I like the most is that rival family members aren’t as narrow minded as in PMG and actually recognize a potentially very strong family member who would strengthen all of the family and actually side with him.

Edit:
Then there's rampant s*avery.

Edit 2:
First MC said that his cultivation path is unique and no one can give him cultivation advice and he's on his own.
Then he joins a sect to... more>> get cultivation advice.....
(outer desciples, inner desciples, core desciples, usual coflicts with arrogant idiots and an extremely stretched outer tournament introduction... boring)

Edit 3:
I.. can't.... take it... Most of every chapter is filled with empty lines. Either audience or enemy talk/thoughts:
"he'll probably lose"
"there's no way he can win"
"he's going to lose no matter what"
"his opponent is so strong"
"he was just lucky, I will crush him"
"how dare you not fear me! I will punish you"
"now he's in trouble because (generic reason) "
repeat the same thing about five times per chapter with one small paragraph of actual development.
Empty blatant fillers just to have more chapters. Sickening <<less

Latest chapter as of reviewing: 55.

It’s rare to have MC’s that don’t focus on only themselves but also strengthen their family members, clans, companions, groups, etc and for it to actually matter in the story. (Take note of that last part.)

I also thought it was interesting that the MC is planning to inscribe his body with runes and magical arrays as a form of body cultivation.

That said the novel suffers quite a bit from too many whimsical inconsistencies, I can never really feel good about reading when the Author... more>> constantly break his own rules or contradict himself. <<less

The story is ok, those that gave low scores probably can't even read normal sentence. The main character almost always tries to take the first move.
Spoiler

He want's to join a sect not because of his cultivation but for "general knowledge" witch he lacks because he did not have spirit root in his last life and could not get anyone to accept him. He did not go to "another world" like other novels but more of a distant place (other planet).

What does disappoint is that he has several women with him and absolutely nothing happens. Some even get forgotten or left behind.
He is like "i do not want her to be hurt, i'll show him when i'll get stronger" and when he's strong enough forgotten. Then this other girl he accepted a sister in order not to hurt her. Afterward his army marched upon her lands, and he picked up the family next to hers and doesn't even mention his little sister. And then the story just ends.
The End, never mentioned his love, never tried to find his love in "once upon a time (spirit world) " dozens women ignored, 5 women untouched, 4 women forgotten, True love never mentioned again after finding the first one single clue. His important clan forgotten, family forgotten, brother forgotten, twin forgotten.
what about the cultivation clan? Wasn't the plan the create a big family in order to get cultivation resources?
robbed this guy, killed this guy, super speed refining, killed this sect, cleaned up this battlefield and that battlefield and that battlefield and that battlefield. Battlefield. Battlefield..
the ending was unsatisfying. Wished I had stopped reading before the ending.

I love this book so far. The MC though OP is also heavily restricted because of the artifact that he has that makes him OP.

At the same time, the story is way too slow, I wish it would be faster because I just want to keep reading more.
Spoiler

He's capable of doing things others cannot like detect talent and he even helps build up his own little army of guards, selecting only the best and giving them the best treatment. I like seeing the MC build up the army, especially since he helps with the talismans.

Love this f*cking Novel and im only 19 chapters in.

Thoughts on MC

MC is showing his knowledge a bit to much for a 3 years old kid and im surprised no one is shocked the way he talks and acts but idk its a minor thing.

And I really hope theres no romance in the early chapters or forced/rushed ones coz I f*cking hate those types of novels that do that ATG, MGA, TDG, And a few more that I cant remember now although these 3 that I mentioned have harem and... more>> mature content on them I cant really complain coz you cant really expect a decent romance story from a novel that has genders like those so ye you get my point I dont want it to be HAREM :/ had enough of that poison. And I really hope the romance to be something at least like CD but overall I give it a 5/5 even if it is 19 chapters I am sure the novel will live up to the rating <<less

The premise is good but I find this unbearably hard to read... I almost feel a shame reading this. I couldn't make it pass the 10 chapter because its absolutely ridiculous now.

-A 3 Year old kid can weight 21k Jins... Can talk on equal grounds. The mother no longer sees her as a child but her backbone. She actually said it! Wow... lol. Are you serious?

This series is in a unbelievable fast paste.... Its based more on Magic then Cultivation and saying Magic is superior then Cultivation. Its all messed... more>> up and story has too many holes. Don't mix Martial Arts with Elves <<less

Way too underrated, a really interesting story with a calm, but also decisive MC that does not kill when it’s not necessary. It's not really the adventure/action tyoe, more like world-building and cultivation. You could see it as slow paced but I like this kind of new pace, it'd defenitly original!

Just try the first 3 chapters, if you liked those you will like the whole story.

An interesting story MC Touba Ye is only 3 years old and already strong enough at an unattainable realm and gets 2 wives and is not interested in them because of his girlfriend in his previous life he wants to remain loyal to her that is one hell of an commitment for him.

Spoiler

No of Touba Ye wives at his 3 years old age: 1) A princess given by king himself.

............................................................... 2) An unknown Assassin came to kill his mother

We're not too far into the story but it's pretty good. That's totally ATG's pitch because it's an expert in his previous life that died while being chased because of a treasure. So really good Xianxia, it has all the good elements of it.

This is an average novel (literally) in which MC gets reincarnated in another world and of course he's a GENIUS and its all good I understand but MC doesn't have any purpose he just stumble upon the situation and just react to it no long term goal or anything....

I don't know if its author or translator but the quality of writing is just.... BLAND. I don't recommend this.

So far I've made it to 21, its a great story; but the concept of the beginning plot is woefully unrealistic. Just add 10yrs to the age of the children and it'll be an really enjoyable read. More thoughts later if I make it to current chapter releases... or actually care to update this.

*I'm a little further into the story and some of the problems noticeable towards the beginning of the story are becoming more prominent with each succeeding chapter. Its not really expanding on the combat. The fighting forms... more>> aren't even really thought out. Not to mention the TL or Author seems to not even be able to keep track of which form name goes with which form order.

The concept of this story is great and it has a promising start, but I really wish the author would have put the age the child starts to become the man of his family at a more reasonable age; say 10yrs later. A child as young as what the author wrote wouldn't be able to command any respect nor would adults have a semi 'Oh' reaction to him being so capable.

The cultivation is way to fast I can't imagine what the MC would be 100 chapters in I mean I'm only 25 chapters in right now and he's basically unbeatable...

The only reason I keep reading is because I like the things that happen outside of combat like the world / clan building, treasure, politics, the scheming, etc...

If you just change the default age of the MC and every other child in this story to +10yrs then this story is alright. If you don't mind the poor combat that's rushed and barely commented on but like world building then this is an alright story.

Giving it a 3 right now cause its alright but nothing spectacular at the moment; will change if its better later... or worse.

**This story is a strange mix of slow and fast

WARNING: MC apparently has no control over his love life and is incapable of dealing with women.

SIDE NOTE: Its fun watching him suffer to women.

***At this point I'm just reading it till he meets his father again that's bout it.

2017 update: Got to the point he met his father soon after initial review and dropped it right after just never bothered to edit my review.... its been a very long time since I've read or thought about this story. <<less

I really don’t understand the high rating. The MC is a mary sue type character, does nothing wrong unless the thing he does wrong is either: A. Right in the long run, or B. An excuse to give the character a flaw that doesn't have any impact or consequences.

Also, the main character lacks a direct purpose, he basically stumbles into situations that generally favor him. He rarely acts, instead he’s mostly reacting. I don’t know if the quality of the writing comes from the author or the translator but it’s... more>> very unpleasant to read. I can’t recommend this.

Aside from these flaws, this novel doesn’t do much wrong. It doesn’t do much good either.

It’s not bad, it’s not good. I’d say it’s mediocre at best. <<less

i love xianxia novel and im a big fan of reincarnation or reborn into another world genre, but honestly I don’t why people give this novel such a good rating. It has promises but the writing style is atrocious. The author repeats the same thing in multiple paragraphs. It’s like listening to my drunk father lecture me (FYI: my father repeats the same sh*t when he is drunk, in case no one got why I used that analogy.) and while I am appreciative that someone took their time to translate,... more>> I wish they didn’t if they weren't going to do a good job. As of chapter 9 I can say that this series holds some promise of becoming something impressive, a la ATG or Douluo Dalu, however it is still too early to give it a rating in my opinion. The whole reincarnated OP badass theme is here in full force, but the fact that the MC is beating people of at least his father’s age and strength at THREE YEARS OLD is a bit too much for me, perhaps if the MC was even 7 or 8 I could somewhat overlook it... more>> but there are no signs of a time skip anytime soon. Unfortunately I am not willing to suspend my disbelief to that degree, even after applying xianxia standards. The good news is that the MC being 3 is also pretty much my only grievance, the writing and translation work are especially solid and the style can be rather captivating. The fights are okay so far, nothing super detailed but just enough to let your imagination make the most it, and the character development seems like it might be pretty good given time. So if you’re willing to overlook a 3 year old MC, and dont mind getting on this train early then this seriously promising series might just be for you. I for certain will comeback and give this series a rating once we’ve gotten at least a solid arc covered. <<less

Reviewed at 53, rated 4.

Mythical Tyrant is not a mediocre novel, but cannot be said extraordinary either. The main fault lies in the way the story enabled the MC to sail smoothly through the plots, and the author’s later effort to make him seem mediocre in the cultivation world didn’t exactly convincing. There’s no numerous plot armors or such as the initial premise already established that he shall be an OP MC, but watching the obviously smooth sailing MC might grate the eyes of some readers.

However, the pacing was superb;... more>> it suits my taste perfectly, and I wish it will still go that way till thousand chapters ahead. It's hook was also pretty good.

Spoiler

(who could forget that this novel MC is a 4-6 year old killing god with poisonous body?)

[collapse]
Regarding plot, it was actually solid... if we discount the fact that it fully covered the MC back and contained awkward, undeveloped romance. <<less

I am giving it 4/5 now. It is good but the fights are usually one sided till now and not much goes in the fights at the moment. Most probably we will get to see intense fights when the MC joins the cultivation sect. As of chapter 35, it is still world-building and such.
I am hopeful that there will be new techniques and things which MC doesn't know cause right now, it seems he knows everything.
