The swollen and white face was stuck outside the window, peeking inward; the rotten body climbed onto the bed, sleeping with others; in the quiet night, the door was scratched and creaked… The blank book opened, the blood-colored text gradually appeared, and the story had begun. , Please write your own horror novel.

Third-rate thriller novelist Shen Yu, looking at the darker surroundings and the shivering audience of the novel, bit the mint candy in his mouth with a “Zizi” and stretched out his hand to block the innocent behind him.

“My imagination finally has a place to use it!”

It sounds a bit sweet.

My 2nd time leaving a review in NU. If you want a fast read of infinite flow, this is the choice to read. It have 50 chapters with 5 extra. I read the translation and mtled it because I was hooked up on the first arc.

There are 5 arcs in total, which is:

1. The Bloody Apartment (Thrilling one, and the I love how author depicted the instance)

... more>> 2. The Lost Portrait (I love how this one made my brain think)

3. Hide and Seek

4. The Hunger Hotel (MC showing his strength independently)

5. The Safe Hospital

The next one after this take place to the mystery of how the instances are created and the connection of MC alias Mint and the ML, Anonymous. I love the pair. MC is quite smart and independent, he is strong too.

You know what, sometimes when I read horror I will not feel scared even though the feels are there. But, I think the plot in the instances are written very well. I felt a bit scared reading this because of the description of each instances. Especially the first one, second and fourth. For me, they are a bit scary. It's been a long time since I felt like this.

If I am to be honest, their date is at the last chapter of the story. But, I can feel the ML caring towards the MC throughout the story. Do not worry, ML is not a ghost BOSS. Try reading this, I recommend it (PS: if you want to deviate from ML is a ghost boss). This is a light hearted reading material and it is not Yaoi. It is

shounen ai. The translation is good too for the 7 chapters. Thank you translator. <<less

As usual the translation from this group is basically MTL and very hard and confusing to read at times. (As example: “Grandma has a leg, a little deflated calf who can be harmed if she dies!” - there is neither a grandma nor a cow in the story at the point.)

The plot seems alright, if somewhat nonsensical, perhaps due to the translation, perhaps due to the original author's writing. It's hard to judge a somewhat "detective" style story like this when you're not sure how much of the setting... more>> and clues are lost in translation. The characters so far are rather simple, but it's possible they're established more in the future. The story dives right in without much set up, and the pace seems unusually fast even for a quick transmigration/infinite flow horror novel. <<less

This novel has potential - it has complex characters in interesting situations.

All of the arcs had hints that showed both the characters and the readers the correct way to 'win' or escape from the horror novel worlds and there's an interesting plot tying all it together. Here's where the problem comes... The author had clearly rushed the ending. As I got to the later arcs, I started noticing more and more random plot holes. Each arc's novel scenario became more random and less elegantly solved by the protagonist (Mint), his... more>> love interest and his friends.

This was quite obvious with the apperance of the cult leader as well as the last arc, which started abruptly and ended just the same.

Spoiler

The cult leader was introduced as a young man whom idolised the protagonist after seeing him in action in the boat arc. He then later shot Mint just before they left the novel, making Mint fall into the sea at death's door.

Mint is then later said to be the perfect vessel in the last arc and in some random way (and loads of exposition from the male lead) it is revealed the dragon god is real and the world consciousness is trying to help the people of the real world by giving them the novels which inconviently don't work in the last arc. Then BAM, male lead burns book, gets power and is off the die. Mint, ever the perfect smarty pants, realises he's off to sacrifice himself and look! The novels work now and everyone who's in the scenario gave Mint their skills to help fight big evil bad guy. They win. Happy f*cking ending.

[collapse]

It was a really shitty ending that felt slapped together; nowhere near the complexity of the first arc. Even the boat arc (despite the random plot hole that emerged, as mentioned in the spoiler) was a lot more interesting than the conclusion of the wider plot.

Spoiler

The boat arc is set some time in the past, where people of colour where often ens*aved by white people. The characters are given braclets that tell them what class they are; those with black braclets are treated like scum and are pushed to the lower levels of the boat to clean wood eating creatures off of the bottem of the boat in dangerous conditions, whereas those with white braclets are treated like nobility and the people of the novel even view them as 'white'. This is something I haven't seen in any of the infinte flow novels till this day and it was interesting to see the way the characters handled this situation.

Unfortunately, this arc also suffers from the 'abrupt ending' disease.

[collapse]

Overall, I'd say that you should definatly check this book out and try to stick to it till the end. There are parts that are pretty good, enough that the more lacklustre aspects can be vaguely ignored (or, at least, I could ignore them). The extra at the end of the novel where Mint and the male lead are on a 'normal' date after the horror novel thing is sorted is cute as well.

It was so second hand and romance was lacking. Which is ok if there is no romance at all. But why they hooked up out of blue then? I am not surprised Cuihua did not see it coming, cz there was no chemistry at all btw MCs. I knew that they are a couple and I still could not find any evidence that they can be not even lovers but simple friends.

I saw some complaints about translation but it was ok for me. Not really good, but it did not... more>> feel like mtl (which I read so I can compare). <<less

This book story quite similar to another book I read before. But this book it’s more simple and fast paced. The plot also very simple and the twist at the end kinda bland. There’s actually not much romance, maybe 2%? Or less. Anyway it’s a bit of gore and bloody read, each arc is simple and short. If you like horror its not bad, just treat it as a short thrillers. Thank you

If you're new to the genres, okay... But if you've read some Unlimited Flow and BL, I really don't recommend this one.

On topic of romance - it's bland. I don't see any romance development, I don't see any relationship development. I hardly know the MC and ML, to be honest.

In terms of plot... You get some "super deep" plot thrown at your head with no warning, no pacing or logic, and it gets resolved the exact same way.

As for the cases... Basic? They were nothing special, I'll find similar cases... more>> everywhere and I hardly have a feeling of urgency because the MC just gets by somehow, easily avoiding things that no one else can evade, having convenient tools...

Not to mention the translation is readable, but it's really not ideal and you'll stumble several times a chapter.

As someone else said, it feels like the imitation of other Unlimited Flows, just not as good. It's maybe good for a dip into the genre, but don't let this story fool you into thinking that other novels of the same genre are just as bad. <<less

This story has potential but with only 50 chapters plus 5 chapters of extras, it's hard to get anything substantial. The story has the element of a good horror unlimited flow, but lacks the backbone that holds up the structure of the story and lacks world building. The characters felt flat and there is too many unanswered questions.

It is a good novel, definitely not the top of this genre, but also not bad.

The horror arcs are written fairly well, with a generous amount of gore and not overly complicated plot behind them. You can usually arrive at the correct conclussion just by paying attention and knowing a little about how such horror stories go - the MC doesn't suddenly bring a convoluted explanation out of nowhere at the end of the arc. Some of the arcs can be seen as criticising certain past or current social problems... more>> - like racism or oppression of women - which I always value in horror stories. The main characters are strong, but they are not completely OP, which is very good.

The length of each arc and the length of the entire novel is very good. Not too short, not dragged out to the point of making you lose interest.

I was less impressed with the overall story - the entire reason behind the appearance of these horror stories + the backstory of the MC and ML. There are points that just seem illogical and clumsily put together. The ending was really abrupt. It can be seen that the author put a lot of effort into the individual stories, but didn't care that much about the 'framing'.

As for the romance - don't expect any. The ML has a fairly weak presence in the novel. Excluding extras, there is barely a hint of a possible future romantic interest between the MC and ML (the kind you wouldn't even notice if you were not looking for it eagerly). There are stronger sparks flying between the side characters than the main couple. <<less

As much as I want to focus on the positives, I can’t really do that without saying this first;

There are two arcs in this novel that made me really uncomfortable while the other just made me disgusted and sad. What was even more depressing was that those two arcs were very close, like breathing in your headphones close. So as a POC and someone that enjoys Anime/Manga, Manhwa & Manhua; it took me several hours to finish them, thinking there would be a satisfying ending but it didn’t. There were... more>> also huge gaps in the parts that lead up to the big battle, which was worse than the most cliche fights. And lastly, the romance felt like an afterthought which is sad bcz I liked the main couple.

HUGE SIGH *< (* ̄▽ ̄) ノ☆;:*:;☆ Okaayyyy time for the positives:

• The gore and suspense were on point

• The reason behind the supernatural happenings had a decent twist, with interesting ways to gain power

• The Main CP weren’t ridiculously OP. Not that I don’t like them, they just have to be done right.

• The chemistry between a potential side CP I spied was hot and I REALLY wish that they ended up together (≧∀≦) If not, they will live in a passionate love forever, rent-free in my head. <<less

It's cute and the story theme and building is very interesting, but it was compressed into too few chapters, the romance was a bit rushed at the end, however it was pretty fluffy and the fall in love part was cute. Hate how the author just threw them into a relationship at the end and there was no real progress. It's worth a read, but I would really advice to expand the chapters and at least the romance and character background parts be more detailed.

It's probably because I read this as soon as I finished reading another horror novel so I'm a little critical of it, but this is possibly one of the most bland horror novel I've read so far. If you're a horror enthusiast and have read plenty of horror, you might not like this one.

I can't even tell if the characters have any personality including the MC and ML. Rather than making both of them smart, the author just made the rest of the characters dumb. The so called "veterans" don't... more>> act like veterans at all that I'm amazed they even survived long enough to be one with how dumb they are.

So far the "novels" are actually pretty predictable so unless you put away your ability to think at all you can probably figure out the truth. It doesn't take a genius.

The build-up are kinda..... Bad? Actually is there even any....? Same goes to the romance as well.... The author just did a massive info dump at the end and call it a day. As for the romance........... I really don't know what to say, they just suddenly got together? The author never even go into details on how the characters feel so you really can't tell how or what do they even like about each other. Even what you basically know about the characters are basically superficial.

A side note, gore doesn't constitute to horror. There's a good of amount gore but it doesn't necessarily give you the creeps. <<less

The story was really good although the end was a little rushed but still for a Infinite Flow Horror it was short + Scary + Thriller+ hint of Romance + sweet for me.

I loved the little interaction between the main CP!!!😘❤️😘😍😍😍🤣

Both the MC n the ML are amazing!!!😍😍😍

(I wasn't about to read this novel because of some of the ratings in NU but some people did say in NU as well that instead of their opinion, one should read it themselves to know and I'm glad I took this story up and finished it!!!❤️😘😍)

Although very little, This Romance was super cute with horror on the mix!!!😍😘❤️🤣😎

Thanks for the translation!!!❤️😘❤️ <<less

i really liked the fact that in this the horror instances were here to kill the players and the book was there to help them.

I loved how the instances and the book were against each other. In most unlimited flow novels the skill and prop were part of the instance, it was just something to make sure the players survived and continue playing, but in this the book (skills and props) was here to help the players survive in the instances.

This was really short for a UF novel 50 chapters + 5 extra chapters. The MC and ML didn't have much romance until the last few chapters. They became official in chapter 50 but throughout the story I didn't see any romance between them.

recommended. Short and sweet, not too long either. Kept my interest up and the couple is very sweet. Although the ending seemed a little-bittle rushed. The translation seemed like edited MTL but still better than MTL Ig.

Except for the canon fodder villains who were completely 2D, some side characters including fodders were well-written.

I liked Zhang keke. She was grateful till the end, unlike certain other similar characters who turn out to be just white-eyed wolfs. Starscream and Caihau were also decent CP and characters.

The arcs

Spoiler

The first one was really unique, I really liked it. It was 2% similar to 'Welcome to the nightmare live'. I made some guesses which turned out to be wrong, with which I was a bit disappointed haha.

The second arc was similar to the 'After the Full-Level Boss Entered the Infinite Game By Mistake arc (Affectionate Blood Clan) '

The third surprised me. It has to be my fav arc besides the fourth! Really liked Jack and the obtained skill notes.. Lol

The fourth was easy to guess, but my favorite nonetheless. I already suspected them so yeah.

The fifth arc was so-so. I liked the heart part.

If you're looking for a short-quick read, This is for you! The couple's very healthy, Ml's not 2D and the MC isn't overly OP either. <<less

A nice, short read for people who want to read a complete unlimited-flow type novel that doesn't extend to hundreds of chapters. A bit gory, a bit simple in terms of characterization, but enjoyable, nonetheless. Definitely is more bromance-y than romance-y, but I felt their interactions were cute.

Hmmm, it was passable at the very least. Third rate truly ads to the quality of the story.

The relationships especially the romantic one is really not well executed and appears as random.

Story building at the beginning was interesting, typical but interesting. At the end though there was little to no build up and the revelation came as quick as it gets.

If one is just in for the thrilling part and can ignore other things, this story is definitely for u (Same for me and it is thrilling)

I was looking forward to this story but actually reading this novel it's... well, it's disappointing. I'm not mad since it's quite short, and there's nothing blatantly wrong that will disrupt your experience. It's also not very fulfilling either. The best way I can describe it is eating a sub-par meal. You get lured in by plastic dish on a display outside a restaurant, ordered the food, but what gets delivered seems to taste completely different from what you've expected. It's a feeling of having finished a meal so you... more>> can't complain, but suffocating because you paid for something that's barely passable too.

The synopsis seems to imply that the MC gets to write in the novel itself. The novels are something different that will operate/add an element that's interesting to this particular infinite flow theme, something that's not seen before.

This would've been so interesting; what's a novel? Do you get to write different stories for different players? Does that mean pk's will be different? So who wrote the better story will win the game? How does it fit into one arc? How does this work!?

All the questions that got me so excited to read the novel. But actually it's explained in the very first instance that it's nothing like that. Although the MC did get to write in a red pen once, it was never mentioned again. It has no consequences to his story/plot. It seems like the novel/book itself is just there. It does the bare minimum. It's giving nothing. It's just a stand-in from the usual 'system prompts' that other unlimited flow novels have. It's just-- so boring.

The fact that the MC is a writer before he got pulled into the game is mentioned once -- before it literally doesn't matter. It does not impact the story whatsoever, and is never mentioned again. Apparently every 'player' is a 'novelist' but they also? don't write their stories or have any autonomy over it (in ways that gives them more control).

It does nothing different from other infinite flow novel, but it's not as good as other infinite flow novels. So it's really sub-standard in this way. It's just--

It's just disappointing. It's not very well thought-out, not very well executed, very typical but uninteresting themes/plots/arcs. Relationship chemistry is lacking and relationship foundation is also lacking. Character backgrounds are barely there, unexplained plot elements are rushed in. And it's only differentiating factor -- the novel stuff, fails to actually deliver what it's supposed to do. It's disappointing.

Overall, if you want a short quick infinite flow novel just to feel the hit, maybe read. But I wouldn't recommend this novel to anyone, there are much better infinite flow novels out there that you could start on, some are just a little longer than this -- but is infinitely much better. But hey if you want to give it a go for the experience, go ahead! Maybe it's not for everyone, and maybe you'll find it to be one of your favs! Who's to know! <<less

No bad. In my opinion, horror elements aren't much but there's a lot of gore, bloody scenes, and human ugly sides.

This is very quick-paced. I wish there are more arcs though. The final showdown came too quickly and feels a bit rushed.

As for MC and Ml, I feel like their personalities are a bit bland. ML is op from the get go...I guess cause they never really explained his background properly lol. MC is smart and could pull his own weight. Both are good at heart. They save... more>> innocent bystanders if they can. Not scheming bastards of course, those little shits deserved to die. They're not holy saints don't cha worry. I dunno at which point, they fall in love with each other. XD

But it's still enjoyable to read. This is for those who enjoyed quick-paced and gory with a sprinkle of horror novels.

P.s - Though the translation is a bit confusing, it is far batter than any mtl out there. <<less
