Short Summary: MC transmigrates to the 2nd year of high school into a delinquent. He then proceeds to win at life using his book smarts, his love of math, and his earnestly serious personality.

The main focus is the relationship between the MC and ML. I was hoping for a more plotty book with romance as an accompaniment but it's the other way around. It took me until around chapter 20ish to start getting really invested in the romance lol. The climax of the whole story is at the end of year 2 with the extras of year 3 and college. In the end, they solved the issues that were preventing their relationship (it was pretty short and there were zero misunderstandings! It was all external. We find out the back story of the transmigration and they get their college results. I admit I was a little let down with the choice of the conflict since it felt too otherworldly instead of some reality-based conflict like fighting against the antagonist parent or something like that. But it was a unique take compared to other transmigration/rebirth modern high school BL stories so that cancels it out.

It has some typical netizens commenting on every trope which I dislike since they don't actually add anything to the story. But it is thankfully, brief. Five or six comments after each exam instead of hiring water armies everywhere for page-long texts.

Writing/Translation: 3.7/5

The translation I read is from WhiteCherryBL. Just a warning that the Next button on their website doesn't work. Need to go from novelupdates. The TL is kinda awkward. Full of weirdly translated words and direct translated slang. But the grammar is pretty good actually. It could definitely be worse. I just read fast and ignored those parts. Anyway, the story is pretty simple so it's easy to understand.

Pacing: 4/5

Pretty good. There wasn't any place where I felt it dragged or was too fast.

Romance: 4.5/5

The romance is rather sweet. I find that I really feel the romance in these modern high school BL stories haha. The ML is surprisingly, not that much of a bully compared to my first impression of him. Maybe my expectations are super low for cn bl novels hahaha. The ML likes to bully and tease the MC but always stops before it gets annoying because he's afraid the MC will be really mad and doesn't like it when the MC gives him the cold shoulder. The best part though, is how thoughtful the ML unexpectedly is. The actions of the ML compared to other BLs are how not over the top his actions for the MC are. Even if its first impressions implied he will be a forceful won't take no as an answer possessive as*hole lol. And he is. But not that bad. Am I making excuses for this ML or what hahaha. But well, they really are quite sweet. I love how the author gives space for the characters and us the readers to pause and appreciate the MC or ML's actions for each other. That is how we can feel the proper impact of the romance. It's in the quiet reflective few seconds after the other person did something out of their way for them.

Some cute quotes from the POV of the bully ML, "Even if he usually speaks a lot of nonsense at times, he is still just a young man in love at the moment.

The person he likes is lying next to him, wearing his pyjamas, pillowing his pillow, and covering his quilt, and the joy in Ying Jiao's heart jumps up uncontrollably.

He wants to jump twice, he wants to roll on the bed, he even wants to go downstairs and run a few laps.

Ying Jiao raised his lips gently.

He is so happy."

Like aww, it's so innocent and wholeheartedly earnest in his feelings. Around halfway ish, you can really feel that they are a team against the world like a proper couple awww. They each think wholeheartedly of each other and work hard to be the best person for the other. And they are both high schoolers alone against the big world. It's nice to see that there is support for them.

Setting/Worldbuilding: 3/5

It was a generic high school setting. Nothing detailed or special or elaborated on.

Characters: 3.7/5

The main characters are the focus so they have the most screen time. The antagonist was kinda eh. Just an idiot high schooler and the power behind that never got any screen time lol. The hated relatives were pretty generic too. The father and stepfamily. For the side characters and friends, they were just friendly people. The three friends of the ML, two of them have one quirk each and other than that, they were interchangeable. Could have been worse. I could at least feel that the ML and MC cared about their existence lol. I liked the class teacher too haha.

Personal Enjoyment: 3.9/5

I enjoyed most of it until we started with the conflict. Because they had already gotten together by then, the sweet reflecting on each other's little actions for them stop being anxious for each other. And also, the maths competition is legit boring lol. I do wish these stories would put more effort into the material being studied so I can feel the catharsis that comes from the effort of studying. I mean yes, I do like how the ML slowly slowly got good. But I don't know what he's studying. It just tells that he does questions all the time. But it's so bland and generic lol.

I loved all the sweet moments of growing to love each other. But those moments got a bit cheapened by the whole fated love thing we got to know at the end. Still good enough. I read this during my uncomfortable period and it was a very nice, sweet and comforting distraction.

The couple is so sweet, they are also so cute this text, there is really nothing heartbreaking or too serious drama, so if you want a sweet text that focuses on how the couple's relationship evolves, this is for you.

I also liked the last chapters of how they explain why he suddenly transmigrated to the novel and the reason is quite charming too.

It is a story to pass the time and a kind of rehabilitation for my harrowing stories that I read before.

ML attitude changed too fast, considering he was disgusted with MC's original body. But then he become clingy and pestering MC since day 1 MC transmigrated.

And I hope MC also has a bit temper on him. It's annoying how he easily being 'bullied' by ML.

Absolutely Potential Wasted...

The story itself is actually very well written, the core plot of the story that combines reincarnation, transmigration, and the system is also very unique.

But the execution is a bit bad because it is depicted in a less clear way, especially the depiction when the conflict first arises.

However, if you came here just to read some lovely dovey story which is very well written and sweet, then this novel is for you... and yes I really like ML character in this story, He was described with a sweet dirty talk personality with out bastard's coercive characteristics, which was perfect. <<less

Abandoned at chapter 27.

The translation was sometimes hard on the eyes and confusing.

Since I didn't read far I do not taste this novel but it already has a lot of story holes and just lacks something. I still wonder how ML had his 180 turn in like seconds and already came to the conclusion that MC is reborn. I would understand if MC was also reborn but he isn't. The second reborn character is a love rival.

At the moment I would rate it around 3 stars with lacking translation.

(ML is more of a school bully than a school grass (most good-looking male student))

love this campus danmei. Though it is one of those where grades seem to have the most power and the family is really bad, it still doesn't outweigh the better thing in the text.

The whole novel is sweet, slightly greasy, soft and so is their relationship. The MC (Shou) is cold-faced, rational, mature but extremely shy, the ML is an arrogant rouge, very touchy (doesn't do anything over the top, though) but extremely caring... more>> and gentle. The ML isn't controlling as well. He's a bit possessive but knows better than harming MC in any way. Supper supportive.

MC isn't all take as well, he gives a lot back too. He gives whatever he can afford to ML (books and we'll, himself). He wants to spoil ML in whatever ways he can. (Even though he knew he was in financial crisis, so he wanted to study and be more capable in the future.

MC makes up for the rationality ML lacks and ML adds colour to MC's life. They both have a traumatizing past and sad background.

This novel is extremely well received among Chinese readers. <<less

Such an odd jump.. I don't buy the fact that ML suddenly changes his view on MC's original body after one event. He insisted MC to stop coming after him but since then, ML's the one that has been nothing but sticky and touchy-feely.

Screams cliche and too fast for my liking. ML's already treating MC so well, pampers and teases him on the daily. Are we just gonna ignore the previous grievances from before the original body had been transmigrated into? Also the supposed protagonist shou disappeared after chapter 1... more>> lmao

MC was pretty cute but at the same time contradicting. A bit let down that he first decided to stay away from the novel protagonists but then proceeds to interact with and appease the ML. Idk maybe I wanted a bit more attitude, MC just seems so easy to influence. Honestly I feel that all he needs to do is just stand there, blush to whatever ML does to him, and you might already have half the plot.. All he's got going for him is that he's smart.

Looking for novels to my taste is so hard. <<less

I was really hopeful when I read this novel because of the good comments

But when I started reading, maybe because I read plots similar to this, I just can’t help but think about the comments and ask... are we reading the same novel?? Lol

Anyway, I didn’t like this novel that much because the ML’s character is confusing and strange. Like he hates the original body owner but when MC transmigrated, he suddenly becomes closer to MC (in less than a day!!)

Like it just feels so strange because in just... more>> one day, he sticks to MC instantly (when he in fact hated the original) and I get that there’s hints that ML knows that MC isn’t the original anymore but who would think of that right away? Like if someone changes a bit, who would associate that with a some other soul invading the body? I get that maybe yeah, some people would think that (if they believe in spiritual stuff) but it wasn’t really explained if ML is s spiritual shiz, I just feel that his character setting is kinda strange

So I feel bad my I rate this novel a 3-3.5

.....I would never expect the story to get more..... I'm Emotional!!!

I Love how our MC is Polite, Calm, Patient, Shy, and can keep his pokerface sometimes (unless when ML teased him). But when it's involved his head. If other attack his head, he would Mercilessly attack other's head back twice or more if possible!

MC really think his most important part of his body is His Head. His Brain! Because what he learn in his previous life. I'm Emotional.

ML is the BEST!!! He's not perfect. He's Super Touchy with MC, and... more>> Love to tease and flirt at him. But he never Cross the line! And his Best parts is, beside his Protective, Doting and Caringness toward MC, he also Absolutely Observant toward MC's personality and actions! He's very Good! He know MC is different from previous 'body owner'. MC's habits, he pay attention. MC's special headaches, he can tell the source of the pain. He's sooooo Great!!! He's also so shameless and thick skinned where he can create any excuse without any second thought (even though the excuse clearly flawed and made teachers angry) just so he could protect MC.

But apparently ML is even more Awesome and the Best of the Best ever when you get deep into the deeper Plot...

This Novel is story of Devotion and Unconditional Love. With Comedy as the Topping, and the Beautiful Love story as the Main Food.

A sweet story with a cold but shy MC and a nice and teasing ML.

I liked the fact that, at the end, the MC's transmigration was explained.

A well written story with an amazing plot and lot of fluff.

The relationship development between the two main characters are really healthy and soft. How they slowly solve their problems, the way they understand each other, how they cheer up and support each other is something that I really liked in this novel.

A good reading experience.

Highly recommend!

I'm glad I didn't let the reviews stop me from reading because I was craving anything, even if it turned out to be mediocre and brainless but I was actually pleasantly surprised???

For a transmigration novel, the author tried to explain the whole thing and I was pretty satisfied with it, since it was developed and foreshadowed since the start and wasn't randomly put together last minute by the end.

About the ML, idk why people are acting like he's brainless when his attitude switched, it was explained in the end and... more>> even if it wasn't I'm a firm believer that someone's attitude and how they carry themselves can give them away. Maybe not everyone would suspect the person wasn't the same anymore but it's honestly not that unbelievable mainly since he interacted with ML a bunch.

It was a pretty nice novel for the genre! The two leads are so cute! The story could've gone a bit deeper into MC's past but it's okay even without it, I feel like is still enjoyable even without it! <<less

The CP's dynamic is great! Both the MC and the ML are so good both by themselves and with/for each other since they balance each other really well while still being fun to read while on their own. I also love how the MC comes to make friends with others.

Deducted a point for despite having fantastic CP, the story itself is a bit lacking. I feel the author wants to introduce some conflict/drama to the story but didn't commit to it, leaving many of those hanging or with unsatisfying resolutions.... more>>

While I understand that ultimately most of the conflicts don't really matter since the MC and the ML are simply restoring things to how it should have been, with the system that ruined the MC's life pretty much defeated, but I think the author could have resolved the family situations better especially since it's revealed that the MC's family is his actual family

Ah this story is so cute! It's full of fluff, and the characters are likeable (at least to me). There is some angst around the end but it's not anything bad and they actually communicate. Their relationship is healthy too. Ying Jiao is really touchy and stuff but he always considered Jing Ci's feelings.

One small example is in chapter 102. YJ want's to give JC a hickey on his collar bone but JC doesn't want to cause he likes keeping those stuff private and it'd be visible. After a while... more>> he says it's ok because he want's to see YJ happy, but he looks in the mirror later and YJ didn't leave anything :) It's small but a good show of how YJ respects JC.

The fact that Ying Jiao always loved only Jing Ci throughout the 3 lives. Qiao Anyan stole Jing Ci's whole life, practically becoming a copy, but even then he could never obtain Ying Jiao's love. Knowing what Jing Ci went through, the fact that he was stripped of his life and happiness, being held in the system space in one and then dying alone in an alley way in another... it hurts so much!!! But the 2 finally get to be happy together and have the life they were always meant to have :D

Their love is something that perseveres even throughout all the difficulties that are placed before them. "Even if you give me the whole world, I will only be by your side"

Really recommend this story if you like cute couple dynamics and fluff, the plot stuff is much more heavy around the later half, but it's never really too much when coupled with their sweetness hehe. The translation is really good and it's now fully translated! <<less

Sweet... so damn cute story, I'm dying of the sugar shock ^o^, not dog drama. I recommend it. The MC and ML have both weaken and strengthen. The one flowing student with high iq but weak eq. With little sad past. He has hard time open up to other persons. The other one is a little scheming to touch that person hair, eyes lips etc xD. Good at fight and willpower. The plot is good and the characters are nice (smart MC x hooligan ML with a supportive and silly class). So why 3 stars? It's just boring. The plot, although intriguing, moves too slowly. There is little substance and excitement each chapter provides. And before someone gets started on the BS like "well slice of life is like that"—no, slice of life is not. Slice of life is supposed to be soothing and relaxing, but still provide enough motive for you to read the next word in the chapter. That... more>> is substance. It's possible, because I've read slice of life that have done exactly that.

My main policy with these novels is—could its plot be summarized in three sentences easily? The answer is yes (one sentence suffices actually), and that's the sign that this novel, despite having nice potential, isn't for me. <<less

The book was fine, I just honestly got really bored pretty early into reading. It’s just so long and the school setting isn’t very interesting.

The relationships of the characters are pretty good. I like the main couples dynamic. I thought for sure I wasn’t going to like ML but he’s actually a devoted himbo. King.

MC is a smart and cold with a soft, shy heart.

Despite the transmigration, rebirth, and family drama going on. It’s really a book about studying lol. Which is boring.

The twist at the end is actually pretty good, though I have read pretty much the same twist in another book.

I guess I’d recommend if you like school life novels. Wasn’t really for me

Hmmm it was quite decent.

It was a good and enjoys story. MC and ML are so cutee. Their romance is really tooth achingly sweet..

The whole plot is very refreshing. I liked it quite a bit, loved it's every plot and twist and the ending ohhh! So sweet!!!

I highly recommend it to everyone.

I LOVE ITTTT. Mc's personality is really likeable especially when the two got together while the ML legitly gave me butterflies. The ending was really satisfying. While I was reading this story, I couldn't help but to smile at them. Although the ML persona does change a bit quickly when the mc's came-- (In a good way), other than that there no problem to me.

I Definitely recommend this book. That's all. Happy reading!
