Traversing into another world, Zhang Xuan finds himself becoming an honorable teacher.

Along with his transcension, a mysterious library appears in his mind.

As long as it is something he has seen, regardless of whether it is a human or an object, a book on its weaknesses will be automatically compiled in the library.

Thus, he becomes formidable.

“Emperor Zhuoyang, why do you detest wearing your underwear so much? As an emperor, can’t you pay a little more attention to your image?”

“Fairy Linglong, you can always look for me if you find yourself unable to sleep at night. I am skilled in lullabies!”

“And you, Demon Lord Qiankun! Can you cut down on the garlic? Are you trying to kill me with that stench?”

This is an incredible story about teachers and students, grooming and guiding the greatest experts in the world!

It was good in the beginning then after a few arcs with repetitive patterns it starts getting boring. MC's shamelessness was actually ok at the beginning but after a few times it starts to bug me as the author keeps trying to portray the MC like he's good/justice when actually it's plain bad/evil and also his mistakes after fixing them COINCIDENTALLY ALWAYS turns out better.
Spoiler

for example MC absorbed entire spirit qi in a certain place where there is danger then coincidentally after fixing it the place will become a safe place in a few years or the latest which made me drop the novel, the MC has plenty of points in a certain test which there is a hidden examiner which makes the test actually safe yet the MC beat the examiner with unacceptable means which caused the entire exam to be a flop since the passing rate was too low then MC with a high point appears and contributed to those who failed then made him like a hero, like what? It's not funny anymore for me as it is more annoying.

[collapse]

The plot is moving fast yet there is little character developments for side characters as they are more likely to be placed on a sideline and another character with similar backgrounds would be introduced (for females mostly princesses, males would be high rank teacher/famed master with each just being the best in each place/region/continent).

This novel is just like "I'm really a Superstar". It starts off with promise with an interesting system. Then the system is just used to awe and face slap. It turns into a rinse and repeat situation where he goes something a noob, shows he is obviously a noob, people are like what is this noob doing here and (rightfully) doubt his merit, and he face slaps them and have ends with them kissing the ground he steps on. Oh and a lot of random detail for no reason. Paragraphs... more>> describing random things like their health and their family health and random ingredients when ask to find a mistake in technique. No need to explain how a couple met, coopulated, cell division if someone asks you if A is B's daughter (an example, hopefully not something that was in the story). <<less

This could be a good novel, if only the author focused the MC on being a teacher... Instead, add in useless chapters that the novel could do without, changing its atmosphere on a whim without any foreshadowing.

Spoiler

like useless debates on alchemy that few readers could really bother caring about being dragged on like a mortal combat tournament. But instead of warriors of character, a bunch of generic people whose name we wont even remember after a chapter of 3 or four, who happen to each have dramatic problems that the MC could exploit.

[collapse]

Final score = 3

Another generic novel with too much fillers. Can be enjoyed, but can also be a huge waste of time. <<less

Earlier chapters were funny. I even give this novel 5 stars for that. It was a good thing to read till it becomes repetitive.
Spoiler

Well the reason I give this novel 3 star now is that plot armor is too thick for MC. And it becomes quite boring in the latest chapters. MC get in trouble and all he need is luck and books to bypass it.

At first, I could tolerate it as the comedy of the novel but now those become the reason for this novel to have absolutely no attractions.
You can easily forecast the event ahead and it destroys the thrill of the reading novel.
[collapse]

Well those are pros and cons of this novel:

Pros:

    1. Interesting early chapters.
    2. Fast and very good translation.
    3. The comedy is not bad.
Cons:

    1. Repeatable events.
    2. Thick plot armor.
    3. No plot at all.
    4. Too many face slapping and things about shame and
    5. Comedy part will be lost in the latest chapters.
    6. Very slow pace that a single day in the novel is equal to 50-60 chapters.
    7. Shallow characters with almost no personality.
    8. MC think because he is transmigrated he is above the world.
    9. No explanation about MC's ability except it because he has the library of heaven's path.
    10. MC have absolutely no difficulty to get experience and because of his cheats power.
This is my personal option but only read this novel if you don't have anything else to read or enjoy repetitive novels like this one.

Even though I have given this novel five stars you need to know what you're getting yourself into.

Pros

    • Cool power
    • Somewhat interesting MC
    • Humorous interactions with other characters
    • The fact that he is a teacher makes the story very interesting and makes you constantly wonder what going t happen next (this is the most important part)
Cons

    • Constantly rehashed jokes.
    • Horrible cliff hangers and I don't mean in the "ahhhh but I want to know what happened next" type of cliffhangers. No, every chapter has to have a cliffhanger it doesn't matter if the situation the MC is currently in is very interesting or not (like choosing a herb for instance) it WILL end in a cliff hanger. (Because why not I guess)
    • I recommend waiting for a decent amount of chapters to be translated before reading. It doesn't matter if the chapter is long or short somehow not much gets done in a single chapter. It can make you feel like your wasting your time when reading chapter by chapter.
    • Did I mention the same lame jokes are constantly being reused like seriously I stopped laughing at misunderstandings ESPECIALLY with s*xual undertones YEARS ago. (I'm pretty young but manga and anime have ruined that for me)

I wanted to like this novel.

I mean I really did and I do kind of like it. The concept is solid enough. But the elephant in the room with this series is how the cheat in this world basically kills anything the MC achieves as null and void. He basically got a library that if he sees someone do a single martial art. It complies a complete history of the person alongside what they practise. What level they are at and all of their flaws. So ANYtime the MC is... more>> being a teacher he's just reading what's in this Deus ex machina library said about the person. That and this suffers from standard set up of, HEY YOU I BET YOU CAN'T DO THE THING. *2 minutes later*

HOW DID HE DO THE THING TWICE AS WELL AS ME. HE's CHEATING. This happens 3 times by the way.

To conclude: this is about a guy pretending to be a wise sage of a teacher that just has a cheat sheet <<less

'Utter tr*sh'.. The starting of the novel was good. But as the plot goes on it gets so annoying that I wanted to punch the authors face if that was possible. The MC has no common sense, irresponsible, thinks he's the best, unbelievably idiotic, and so on.. In other novels although the MC gets a powerful cheat tool to help with their cultivation atleast they still has to put some effort into it. But in this tr*sh the MC levels up his cultivation like he's taking a bath. As long... more>> as he has sufficient spirit stones he can level up indefinitely. That's just complete garbage. My advice is if you don't want anxiety to build up in you, DONOT EVER READ THIS NOVEL. PERIOD <<less

It's a somewhat entertaining timewaster but it's honestly pretty generic and very repetitive. It feels like the same plot regurgitated again and again with slightly different names. The main character is also incredibly s*upid, petty and self-righteous.

The loop seems to be:

- he goes to a new place (like a alchemy guild)

... more>> -He shows ignorance about it

-he instantly learns it via his cheat

-he ends up destroying something

all the while "experts" explain why what he's doing is impossible and he's going to fail before being instantly proven wrong.

The main lead is also inhumanly dumb. He starts out pretty oblivious but his IQ definitely starts to plunge as the story goes on. He constantly does evil things out of sheer s*upidity and if he didn't have super brainwashing powers he'd be called out on his evil behaviour multiple times already.

I've been mostly skimming for a while. The best bits for me are the side characters, mainly the students and the fact that there has been no romance yet (although that looks like it's unfortunately changing). <<less

This is one of those novels that you put your hopes on only to have those hope thrown in a garbage dump and force you to watch it burn. Library of Heaven's path starts with a good concept, a bit overused but unique that aside the cheat that the MC gets becomes the solutions, the problem, and the plot of the whole novel. The cheat allows the MC to basically become a mythical being with everyone prostrating in worship after the MC shows a thing or two. And that's okay.... more>> However, this became a problem once the author decided to rinse and repeat for 1200 chapters over and over again.

Do not read, do not look, and don't even think about this novel; trust me, I am doing you a favour. <<less

It's a pretty disappointing read, to be honest. As usual, things don't seem so bleak at the beginning: MC follows the main line of the stubborn and tactless crank, which at first seems funny in places. However, as the Russians say, the further into the forest, the thicker the partisans. The author self-plagiates himself by constantly using the same narrative technique: an indifferent MC goes about his business, which indirectly offends one or another faction (or a powerful cultivator), which causes a conflict that ends not because of the MC's... more>> efforts, but because of the author's desire. And there's a lot of that sh*t in the novel. MC is easily given both cultivation and all other auxiliary activities, thanks to the Deus ex machina in his head, which makes it unbearably sick to watch MC. But here we think: "Maybe the author will deign to show, for example, through interludes, the adventures and development of his students?" No, it won't. We will know that such and such a student is under the care of the MC, and then in Chapter 1104, one of the cool guys will say that this student, quote "an incredible genius who is born once or twice a Millennium." I wonder where such a high opinion of a character who has NEVER f*ckING SEEN him in his LIFE comes from? I have already read 1000+ chapters and the author has not shown me that his student is such an incredible individual. And so it happens from time to time. In this genre, not so much, but what to say, there is practically no novel that would deeply reveal the topic of teacher-student, and here I come across this story about a teacher, and where the teacher must be a student, but the author completely shits his own idea. MC OP, his students flash sporadically and practically do not reveal themselves in any way. The result is a tasteless chewing gum with repeating arches that lack any personality. Humor is generated not because of the wit of the characters, but because of the exploitation of the bad character of the MC, which in the end only infuriates, not makes you laugh. Don't recommend reading it. <<less

I see that people had already talked about the obvious flaws of this novel. I will talk about other aspects.

Spoiler

1) MC meets Kong shi's will. Kong shi was someone who had the same problem as he was so he asked how to be cured of the innate fetal poison. He told him how, that's cool. But then he told him innate fetal poison isn't the real problem, the real problem is after poison is cured. And he refuses to explain it like, why? Later on, MC cured himself and the said problem occurred. Instead of finding cure or consult the poison master who put the poison inside him, he decided to ignore.

2) MC reunited with his parents and told him how did he ended up far far away from his home. MC was born special, his bloodline is extremely pure and he's born at Saint level cultivation (approximately 19 big realms) but because of his ancestor, an Ancient Sage was critically injured, his parents decided to rip off his bloodline and gave it to his ancestor (I find the reasons provided in the novel to be justifiable so this is not the worst part), the worst part is that they have to put rank 9 poison, innate fetal poison inside him and teleport him to ancient ruin to ensure his survival. No explanation given to as why should they teleport a new born baby alone to some random forest like wtf, the least they can do is to have some teleport along with him. His clan is like the biggest and the richest so why can't they do that. Yeah teleport is costly but prior to the reunion, they had already teleport a group of people so many times.

3) Because of his cheat, MC cultivates numerous flawless techniques but for some reason his students who cultivate flawed techniques (no one can cultivate flawless AKA Heaven's Path technique other than MC) are even faster and stronger than him. What's the point of the technique being flawless??

4) Everything went downhill after he cured himself. He became nothing but a simp

5) The worst part of this novel is definitely the marriage misunderstanding. Poor Qiqi she didn't deserve what happened to her, but even after that she still liked him and pursued him anyway.

This story would be 100 times better if Rouxin didn't exist. She crashed MC and Qiqi's marriage, I'm so salty af. The worst part is she tricked MC and then stole his World Book that MC tried his best to get.

6) Power scaling is ridiculous, first time an Ancient Sage appeared, it was an indomitable existence that no one can oppose. Their aura alone is able to suppress anything, and if they don't reveal themselves, no one can locate them. When they speak, loud voices will be heard throughout the entire area. But then..... But then...... When MC went to a higher world. A literal god became nothing but a mere thug causing trouble in a tavern.

7) MC had a different identity named Yang Xuan, this Yang Xuan disguised as a high rank master teacher. People don't recognize this person but because of his vast knowledge, people believed in him anyway. He kept using this identity until he met some really high rank master teacher and guessed what, a real high rank, the strongest person on the continent, is also named Yang Xuan! This Yang Xuan is extremely popular so, the big plot hole is, how come some of the real high rank he met as Yang Xuan didn't recognise him. Like for example Mu shi, a 7star master teacher and a bunch of other 6star master teachers. I can let it off if a 3star master teacher didn't recognize yang xuan but how come mu shi didn't recognise him as well? Like Mu shi is supposed to be coming from a big clan.

8) Master Teacher jade token, at earlier story, can be used as a currency but then it has never been used again like really? Why? MC prior meeting his family was absolute poor bloke who needed money all the time. Why he didn't even think about selling his tokens that get supplied to him?

9) lohp has golden page, this golden page is absolutely op. It can oneshot everything under the heaven. He can obtain this golden page by 1on1 teaching and the person being thought needed to recognize him as teacher and felt gratitude towards him. Why was he not farming this abilities? It's op af. Golden page only appeared when MC needed some plot armor. And why he oneshot them anyway when he actually could seal and ens*ave them? The golden pages are one time use only but when sealing, it's everlasting. It's so wasteful to use it as killing device.

10) Why did he always keep important information from the hq?? Just tell the hq pavilion master everything he knew about otherworldly demon

Last but not least, why did that lazy fat ass Sun Qiang get to marry an actual Goddess??????

Let me just say one thing here:
Screw Romance!

This was one of my favorite novels and I was completely obsessed with it. Whenever I was feeling down, the hilarious MC would always find a way to make me laugh with his shamelessness and naivety. However, when Luo Ruoxin, the FL, came into the picture, everything just went down the drain.

In the first place, I was never a big fan of anything that isn't BL and am not very fond of the romance genre. Sure, I don't mind a little romance... more>> in this amazing novel. May have lowered my opinion of it, but for the sake of reading about our amazingly funny MC, I could endure it.

Honestly, I also really liked Luo Ruoxin since she seemed like someone who deserved some love and a really nice girl, so I ended up loving everything even more!

But then THAT happened:

Spoiler

Zhang Xuan mistakened the Luo family's little princess (Luo Qiqi) for Luo Ruoxin, when she clearly was not.

[collapse]

And so, this amazing leveling up comedy became some melodramatic romance drama. It won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed, because I am. But hey, in the end, this novel made me laugh more than ever and I owe a lot to the author. I just want to tell ya'll that I really loved it despite everything that had happened.

Sorry if this came off as offensive or mean, but I just think that if all this romance crap didn't take place, Zhang Xuan wouldn't have done that and everything would've been fine and gone smoothly onto the next potion of his adventures.

Now though? My dear little Qiqi and her brother hate the MC and everything just.. Ayy, what a pity.

Anyways, I know that I'm somewhat contradicting myself, but thank you for writing such an amazing novel! I really hope the creator will make another one without romance this time because even now, after half a year, I cannot forget about my lingering passion and infatuation with this novel! I'll give this one a 4.4/5 <<less

Kinda boring and repetitive. Well but it's funny. Maybe because I dislike the slapping face moment that happened frequently plus people looking down on the MC and never learn their mistake.

This is a very special novel. It has been refreshing to read and I haven't grown bored of it at any point so far in the story.

I like how earnest the MC is despite his ridiculous potential. The trope of him keeping a "low profile" while doing outrageous things in everyone else's eyes never gets old. I definitely think this story deserves the high ratings.

It's pretty predictable and has zero to no development. It's basically worse than I'm Really a Superstar as the MC always knows everything he needs to, and can "learn" stuff at a snap of a finger.

After like chapter 300 it pivots a bit, with the pivot being fully realized by ch 500, but even that is a trudge.

Don't read it like that, though. This is not a binge-reading story, even though you can do so. Read it in spans of 10-20 chapters, and it becomes much more enjoyable, as you... more>> get distance from the story and can put things into perspective.

The writing is pretty terrible, there are no stakes (for the MC at least), and the face-slapping is passable.

The story is fun, though. Just... really, really long and slow at times, and also doesn't seem to properly flesh out the reaction scenes. <<less

I gotta say, this guy is the most dense ass mofo I’ve seen in a Chinese novel

Don't listen to the reviews saying that the novel's going downhill, it's an absolute riot ever still. More likely, the bad attitude is likely because the novel tends to emphasize the MC's excessively unorthodox actions, like tying a master up and beating him half to death with sticks to improve his cultivation. This repeated emphasis, necessary though mundane, likely draws on their impatience what with having to wait for chapters... though, given they are released daily, it can be said this impatience is unwarranted.

Regardless, the novel is hilarious and its... more>> character development touching. Suffice to say, just being able to read about the MC turning from some devil-may-care transmigrant into a true teacher who truly does care about his students makes reading this novel worth it. <<less

Absolutely love this story. I'll probably get tired of it though since it's the same formula, but for now I'm happy with what there is. Only complaint I have is that it takes awhile for something to resolve. From chapters 1-85 only 2-3 days have passed. The content from those few days are really fun to read though. Definitely recommend. 5 stars.

Edit: Last review at ch.85 which I gave 5 star. Read up to current translated chapter. It's only repetition and I definitely got bored of it. It fell into... more>> the trap of typical tropes and it's just not exciting anymore. <<less

Pretty hilarious. The main character is extremely shameless and uses misunderstandings to his advantage. A downside is that the plot moves slowly, going over details that may seem redundant, and the chapters become a bit shorter later on which makes it all the worse.
