When the protagonist woke up, he discovered that he had become Song Qingshu, who had his meridians destroyed in a contest of martial arts and was banished from his sect. He also found out that this was a chaotic world that incorporated Jin Yong’s 14 novels. What will he do now?

This is a case of coming for the le*d and staying for the plot for me.

The story is interesting and the le*d scenes are hot. (At least for now)

Also, it reads like an old martial arts movie so be prepared for that if you want to read it.

And no, it's not unreadable if you haven't read the original novels, though uncomfortable at first.

Pretty good so far. This is basically just glorified fanfiction, but you can enjoy reading this without reading the original novels. The MC is very familiar with the novels and typically will talk about who people are and their relationships with other people. In fact, if I had read the Jin Yong novels before this I might have been annoyed by that, but going in with a vague knowledge of a few books it was easy to follow and enjoy. But there's a few issues with the novel despite that.... more>> I'm less than 1/10th through the novel so I'm sure its going to feel dragged out by the end of it.
Spoiler

The main character reached like A tier martial arts really quick, then hit like A+, then got crippled, and then practiced a new technique and reached like A- tier real quick. That new technique is s*xual in nature so it really seems like the start of the story if that makes sense, but he keeps reaching like top tier master status, not a pinnacle master but top tier in like half a second so I don't know where it's gonna go when he reaches the peak, and who he's gonna compete with. And if he can reach A tier in half a second but it takes him 2000 chapters to reach S+ tier, it's going to be frustrating to read. Also like just from the name you should be able to tell that this is a novel with s*xual components. He r*pes one girl in like chapter 10 and then doesn't f*ck anyone for like another 150 chapters, and then its like he's having s*x like every 5th chapter. Feels like the s*x slowed down after like 10 times but I imagine it will pick up again at certain points in the story. If that's an issue for you, then don't read this.

A lot of people say that this authors next work, Keyboard Immortal is better, which is making me interested in reading it even though I'm completely burnt out on system novels. Overall like a 4/5, maybe 4.5/5, but the way the MC talks about trans women means I legally cannot give this a good rating. Seriously IDK if trans women was an inaccurate translation or if the author really just does not like them but I was about 50/50 on dropping this every time he talks about them. <<less

This book is amazing, maybe it's not without it's fault but the characters are distinct and dialogue is fun. Plot is also very easy to follow.

Great novel with some pretty good fight scenes. You should not worry about r*pe, the novella is not about that. Here the main character is trying to seduce girls who already have a lover, but usually she is not the main girl, but one of the sides in the love triangle. The main character is not a saint, but his adventures are fun to watch. I advise everyone to try.

I really like Keyboard Immortal, so I decided to check out the author’s other works. I know nothing of Jin Yun novels- but I get it, the author started off as a fanfic writer.
Spoiler

The story is fine up until 300s and then it gets messy real quick. It becomes this cycle of MC in disguise in a new country, saving heroine a from poisoning or near death, sweet talking heroine b with his new disguise, and fooling around with heroine c from an earlier arc. Eventually he solves the issue and installs his people in power. Repeat 5x.

The problem is that the author goes from introducing new and interesting characters mainly female leads, and just replaces them. Normally that would be fine in a harem story, but the replacements become more and more bland, the romance gets worse, and the MC recycles his old sweet talking moves over and over.

In addition, the MC becomes so powerful, yet he never kills. If he’s not getting poisoned, he’s beating people up and repeatedly sparing them- mainly so the author can reuse the villains- and keep the plot coherent without making a new character. Think Naruto able to kill Orchimaru day 1 but keeps letting him escape so the author can write the same chunin exam and fifth hokage plot. In my opinion, what’s the point of making him strong then!?

Other issues, well the author forgets characters and drags out drama. I’ve heard the ending is really unsatisfactory, and I’m not going to read another 1000 chapters of the same plots over and over.

I recommend 300 chapters then moving on.

Novel for coomers. The protagonist after reincarnating into an amalgamation of novels treats the heroines like Pokemon i.e he has to catch them all by hook or crook. He tries to justify the protagonists vile actions by crafting flimsy excuses and is unlikable in general. Any sympathy for him due to his situation in the beginning quickly evaporates given that he has no compunctions with ruining peoples lives and doing the same thing he suspected his wife of.

Is worth one star but I mistakenly pressed two.

Yeah... This was one of the worst novel mismatch genre I've had to read. The author can tell the story but the genre should be 'villian' not anit-hero. The MC feels like any other dude with PTSD. It wasn't his body to begin with and should've been a spectator who seen how the story goes but just acts like a jerk that gets h**ny all the time.

Wish someone could make the woman the MC and not this idiot.

Don't quote me on this but I think the author is the same one that wrote 'Keyboard Immortal' which has way more flower/fragrant stealing than this novel.

Spoiler

Novel is basically a isekai/reincarnation with MC going into various famous chinese martial arts fiction dramas, getting some OP skills just because he knows them and where to get them, befriends all the OP people in the dramas. Meets a bunch of hot chicks. The events are very lame but still better than 90% of the tr*sh novels in novelupdates registry-Which makes it sorta good but only because everything else is bad.
