An Xian had a crossover from earth to the world of cultivation. As she arrived there, she practised conscientiously and diligently to become a well-known spiritual pharmacist. However, when crossing the final catastrophe, she unknowingly took the wrong medicine, causing her body to undergo abnormal changes and prompting her to fall into a deep slumber. When she finally woke up, it was already 1,800 years later. The world’s civilization had undergone a significant transformation. She also lost her feminine characteristics due to the disaster and the pill, making her unable to cultivate as she used to. She could only draw spiritual power from flowers and plants surrounding her. To use her brand-new identity, she began to grow flowers, open stores, sell medicines, and brainstorm for the future…

The medicine she developed had a miraculous effect on the treatment of mental illness.

The flowers she planted had grand plans to take over the world.

She was a woman who aspired to be a national “male” god.

But she had no idea that the man she had inadvertently picked up was the true male god and that he was about to bend himself for her.

It's an interesting concept but I don't think I'm going to finish reading this. MC is a cultivator who awakens 1800 years after failing her tribulation and finds out the world has very little spiritual energy left due to a disaster. Immortals and cultivators are basically stories and myths at this point and the world has developed into the typical modern times technology/interstellar vibes. People are born with a certain rank (F, E, D, C, B, A, S) but the higher the rank + usage of mental power, the higher... more>> the risk of a mental breakdown of power. MC surmises that people are still born with the power to cultivate but because of the limited spiritual energy and knowledge then they cannot re-shape their mortal bodies thus the collapse of mental power, etc. It's a different take on the whole cultivation genre but I think some of her strengths are just too.... hard to conceive.
Spoiler

For example, MC is really good at pill refining and sets up a shop to grow flowers and sell her pills. Then she auctions off "special pills" each month and I guess I'm either just not imaginative enough or trying to reason too hard with some of these pills. One of her pills gives people the ability to fly for a while. Then you see the MC record a promotional video showing off the effect of the pill by jumping off a building and flying, zipping, zooming around people/buildings/etc. and everyone loses it. She gives a brief warning about needing to have the mental strength to be able to use the pill and happily sells it. Maybe I'm just super pessimistic but my first thought was, people are going to die trying to fly like her. And then I thought, this is a great tool to use for doing bad things. Another pill lets people float around in the air like a feather (please refer to the previous two sentences). And another pill allows people to see in the dark and see spiritual bodies/ghosts. Ok, this one makes a little more sense knowing it's supposed to be a cultivation world but at the same time, there are lots of other countries and each country is fighting with each other so wouldn't this be something the militaries could be interested in? Maybe to replace things like night-vision goggles, etc.? Then the pill that made me start to think that maybe this story isn't for me is a pill that gives life to 2D objects. MC draws a stick figure and the stick figure gets up and moves/dances. At this point, it ain't a pill anymore, it's a potion that you can draw with. And how did people use this pill? The author literally wrote that someone drew a machine gun, put on a combat uniform and ran to a restaurant to rob and when the workers and police who came saw that it was a 2D weapon all they did was educate the offender and confiscated his "weapon". Then when the video gets posted online, it "made countless netizens laugh"..... maybe I'm the only one who thinks this is not funny and is actually weird and worrisome? The author uses the words "various magical and funny videos appeared" and people "used their imagination to act mischievously" as the excuse that everything was done in good humor even if people used this magic to make fun of/bully others.... Then her next pill literally... allows people to condense gas to form a solid object. Which she uses to create a staircase up the sky and into the clouds.... the author notes it's nearly a thousand meters high... the tallest building in the world is only 828 meters so people are just watching someone climb nearly 1000 meters and then jump back down to the ground. Ok. This is a cultivation novel. This is supposed to be a cultivation novel. Even if there's are lot of Earthly tones, it's supposed to be a cultivation novel. It kinda lost me at this point.

[collapse]

I also felt like the author tries really hard to make MC act aloof yet has to create drama to move the plot around but then these "dramas" get resolved without the MC doing anything at all and the reader is just left reading what side-characters are saying. It's not that you can't make the MC too OP (I really enjoy OP characters) but it's that the MC is too bland and you don't get to know them well so the story doesn't seem interesting cause their no vested interest.

I did enjoy the romance so far and the ML is really cute but after reading what one reviewer posted about ML
Spoiler

he gets amnesia

then I think I'll just drop this novel. There's too many clashing points and plots for me that doesn't make sense but it seems it could be a good read if you're still interested after reading the summary and reviews. <<less

I had thought MC became male when she said "unidentified physique"... when she went bath she mentioned her reduced chest (due to catastrophe) and I almost took her as a hermaphrodite but ok - She's still a female, took someone's identity who's a boy - so everyone thought of her as male and called her their "male god" and moreover she doesn't think much of the gender (cause she's a practitioner tempered by years and years of cultivation, not those fast-upgrade type) so much so that I had a misconception of her body being a hermaphrodite.

It's faceslapping all the way the kind where even MC doesn't need to plan for it and is done by the sheer strength, talent and ofc her pills. It's not like she had no trouble... more>> or done no hardwork - she was constantly occupied and even her free time was filled with cultivation or socializing that needed to be done to get her her materials for pills. MC's from earth (in her first life/before crossover) and knows "aeroplane" but not much knowledge of mobile phones and wrist watches (mp + ww = brain [fururistic]) so I think she was from 20th century and not 21st.

ML is at first your typical OP ML but soon he's turned into an unemployed patient that needs her care (cause he insists to stay) but still OP (yet these never decrease the OPness of MC nor make her a damsel in distress). ML likes her so much to the point that even though he once dreamed of her as a girl (poor him), had fantasies - cough to the point of rioting - he never stepped beyond kissing and trying to hug her and still thought and believed that she's a male and identifying himself as a homos*xual who likes men (cause MC's get-up was men). He's indeed the jealous-type but not yanderish and never one to cross line. Poor ML though... to think he comes to know of her gender in extra. Lol

For me, the main focus of this novel are the various cute-majestic animal-plants that MC cultivates, the pills, the way she tries to promote them and her interaction with her fan base "pollen" as "Huahua/flower".

The plot takes a turn at 2/3 of novel from daily life and interaction b/w her and her "pollen", plants and animals to her discovering a disgusting villain organisation and her plans to destroy it (ofc she gotta plan - she was still in cultivation and low at that) and faceslapping is ensued even more boldly.

Overall an interesting and fluffy novel with a smart, hardworking, OP gender-bender MC and a star-struck, loyal, infatuated, vinegar jar OP ML (who would be more surprised if MC told him that "she's a female" than telling him her real identity) along with cute stuff and the lovely fanbase "pollen".

MTLed aĺl the way and it was easy to read and understand even then. The translator, though, has done an incredible job and the translation flows well. <<less

Thank you! Thank you so much GoudanCai for translating this!!

This is one of the novel written by the author of Heroic Death System. A protagonist who have mystifying pills that really shocks the interstellar universe. I really really love the protagonist since their (the protagonist didn't care about their gender, which is really plus one to me) freaking cool!!! The way they show cast it's products makes me kneel down to them!

When the tag shows it's slow romance, it really means it. ML have long way to go, and he... more>> achieve it and have regrets because of his choice (it's a spoiler 🤣🤣). It doesn't have drama and it's really a slice of life. I kinda enjoy reading it, making me relax and laughing at the same time. <<less

Overall an interesting story about a cultivator trying to reshape the world of scarce spiritual resources to advance higher.

MC has a firm and resolute mind, and calmly climbs up from her initial meager position to the top of the world. It's definitely a 'feel good' weak to strong sprite novel where MC breezes past the difficulties while being revered and worshipped by everyone.

I've read this story because of MC's cool and unbothered character, that's truly fitting for someone who almost ascended to Heaven before the catastrophe stroke them.

So, in terms... more>> of Xuanhuan I would rate this 5/5.

However, in terms of Romance...

For me this was a 2/5 at most.

Spoiler

The first part of novel was spent building the relationship with ML 1.0 from friendship to courtship, we could see him slowly building his affection and feelings towards MC.

Then we had sudden amnesia/soul reshaping plot, and EVERYTHING that was built in the first half was erased for the sake of creating some 'dark history' for ML.

His final 2.0 version only appears in a last few dozens of chapters (of 178), and although it's obvious that some parts of 1.0 personality and his feelings toward MC were integrated into 2.0 version, and resurfaced with time, it still feels very abrupt.

Especially because in 177 (of 178) chapters of the story his romantic feelings toward MC are completely one-sided. The only thing that can be considered romantic is that although she's usually averse to other's physical closeness, she accepts it from ML. But she pushes him away every time he tries to cross the boundary of kissing, so it's unclear to what point she's fine accepting his feelings. Because all the while her thoughts are ANYTHING but romantic towards ML.

All the 'development' between pursuing and officially becoming a couple happens off-screen after they ascend. What happens between 'I'm not sure about romantic feelings, but I'll wait a hundred years for you to acsend together' and 'It's okay to be a couple, but let's skip the double cultivation part' is unknown, because it's literally last two chapters that are full of time-skips.

[collapse]

I'm not sure whether the 'romance' tag was the wishful thinking of a person adding this novel to this website, or the author themselve, but it doesn't deliver at all.

So, all in all, if you want to read about cultivation progress, changing the world, going against the sky, etc—you can find it here. But if you're searching for a love story, continue to search... This is not it.

P.S.: I'm not sure how I feel about the way the topic of mental illnesses and mental patients was treated in this text, but for Chinese standards where 'neuropathy' is a slur, I guess, it wasn't that bad..? Still left an uncertain aftertaste in my mouth, so please, if you're sensitive to this topic, treat the story with caution. <<less

I liked how the FL was stronger than the ML.

Spoiler

Even when it turned out He Rin was a former God, he was still weaker than her.

[collapse]

She also didn't care about his looks, family and wealth. I felt that her temperament as a cultivator was deeply felt throughout the story. She was compassionate and kind towards everyone but didn't value anyone above all else; everything and everyone was equal in her eyes.

The ML was quite cute. He was shameless and never gave up pursuing her for over 100 years. He did help her at first, but the FL dealt with her problems by herself.

The commentary from the 'Pollens' was also really funny.

However, I felt that there were some things that could be improved.

Everything was dealt too easily by the FL. I understood that she was an immortal cultivator and there was an inherent power difference, however she experienced no difficulties that she struggled to overcome.

I would have also liked to see the reaction to everyone finding out she wasn't the original Roy.

And her gender was only briefly covered in a few sentences in the extra. I felt that it could have been expanded upon. The author also failed to explain why the FL lost her br*asts when she failed her calamity.

Overall, it was a feel good story but felt somewhat lacking in plot and details. <<less

I love this. It's such a leisure read not that many twist and turns. Dad an Xian is my male god now she's so cool and handsome. Much more than the male lead that silly dog that didn't guess her gender for 100 years AHHAAHAHAHAH he also lost his chance for the big br*ast. The slow romance was really taken literally. The side characters were interesting especially those in the mental hospital🤣. It was a good read I binged mtl for 2 days

Since the current chapters whet my appetite, I decided to Mtl-ed the novel.

After reading the first 9 chapters, my mind is already salivating to swallow this novel whole. The novel is good, I guess. 3 stars initially, and plus one for the excitement.

Spoiler

I thought the MC is a man, but

actually a female because she is just flat-chested.

Points I've noticed:

    • It was often mentioned that the ML is ready to bend anytime for the MC. However, he still thought what if the MC is a female and it made me realize although the ML is in love, there's still a bit of resistance of homosexuality, it is not straightforwardly mentioned but the subtlety of it is very apparent. I have no qualms about it.
    • The MC is very OP, loved by the Author and so embraced by luck halo.
    • There are many characters, cute pet and so on but once they are introduced, their screen time is replaced by other characters.
    • The end is rushed and a bit vague for me, perhaps the MTL is also a factor. Furthermore, when it's nearing the end, it focused on FL and ML (and his black history).
    • MY MALE GOD IS SO HANDSOME AND IS MY DADDY.
    • Its a good read, I've spent a day and half finishing it.

The last part is my main point.

I had a hard time connecting to the MC because of her indifference, but maybe that's what a "true" cultivator should be like?

The plot point where she was exploring and investigating remnants of the old cultivation world was neat, I like how the author connected her old life with the new through "archeology".

Overall all right, but nothing to write home about.
