His filming opportunities were taken by others; his boyfriend cheated on him; he gave up a rich, tall handsome fiance and devoted himself to a scumbag. In the end, he was beaten to death by the scumbag. Yan Qing Chi felt that although this danmei cannon fodder supporting male that he transmigrated into was troublesome, it was kind of tragic that he died like this through his own actions.

So, the first thing that Yan Qing Chi did after taking over this body was to catch them in the act and beat up the scumbag! The second thing that he did, was to agree to the marriage proposal from the aristocratic fiance.

However, Yan Qing Chi stared down at his big belly. Who can tell him what the heck this was?! Don’t tell him that he transmigrated into a mpreg novel???

Standing on the side, the tall, rich, and handsome Film Emperor Jiang asked carefully, “Babe, do you want a boy or a girl?”

Yan Qing Chi: Do I want a WHAT?!

So I almost stopped reading this one because I saw a really bad review. But I thought it was different and kept reading. I have to say I'm glad I finished reading it.

As for the bad review's statements the MC and ML love both of their children. Nobody is a toy and nobody is being bullied. The birth child is not treated badly or forgotten he just can't go to some places when he's a baby because of obvious safety and health concerns to a new born. They want to... more>> take him with. And when the granny says they can take him with they do (the whole family goes along for new years) The poking thing was light and playful pokes to the chubby cheeks and then Qi Qi also poked himself and Wei Lan's cheeks. It's soft because they are babies. But Wei Lan is because of good skincare😂 also the baby laughs when he's poked like an on off machine. When the baby gets tired of this game he stops laughing and plays with his toys instead and nobody keeps poking him or anything it's just a game.

As for the ML saying it was okay if they didn't have the baby, he actually really wants the baby but he saw how shocked the MC was and misunderstood. Plus he was just being considerate and giving the right to decide to his partner.

The MC gets pregnant around half a year after they are married so it's not quickly. He discovers it on ML's birthday.

The novel protagonist doesn't show up later in the story, at least not in the main story (I haven't found the extras. So my reading ends at the finale of 191 part 2).

The acting and showbiz plays a bigger role than any business world setting. The novel talks about two variety shows - one game and one travel. Apart from that there are more dramas and movies.

There is no real big villain or tragedies in this story apart from the novel protagonist and I actually feel bad for him because it seems like he was not mentally grown up at the time of his wrong actions. He later understood and apologized and he also went through one of the most tragic abuses himself. (I would like to see his happy ending if I can find the extras).

The MC is not a white rabbit. He's a strong character with many talents and he doesn't need protection. The ML really s**ked at the beginning and his words or actions could've been quite off putting but later he turns into a yes man for his wife and is extremely caring and soft towards him. He even learned to cook during the pregnancy and almost never lets the MC back into the kitchen except when the MC wants to make something or show him some love.

There aren't any hate filled scenes when they come out to the public it's more blessings or fans just leave the fandom instead of turning black. So no angst there.

The MC does tell the ML about himself being from a different world.

The MC has really good parenting skills and acts really loving towards all the kids he encounters. He teaches the ML how to be a better father and later they are naturally very good and loving dads. Yes it does seem like they don't spend a lot of time at home but that's because of the acting career and the children always have family around. Later the ML will retire from acting and work at the Jiang company which will also give him more time around the kids, MC was also a successor before transmigrating and after 2 more years he said he'll gradually help with the company stuff. And later in the novel they spend more time together as a family than at the start.

I'd say this novel is worth the read but not that fluffy. So if you just want fluff maybe not but if you want a strong main character this is the novel for you.

Also the author commented about how many people couldn't understand why she wrote an adopted child like QiQi into the story but later it's explained because QiQi and the MC had similarities and since his adopted parents thought him love he wished he could do the same. (That's the general idea but the author says it better. Also apparently a lot of readers dropped the novel because they didn't like the existence of QiQi.) <<less

It's pretty cute, with a lot of fun arcs. If theres a down side, I really feel sad for their 2nd baby (birth child).

Spoiler

I know the author is trying to emphasize that even if they will have their own birth child, ML and MC will still love Qiqi (adoptive child) but the emphasis really got way out too much that it actually looked like they don't care much for the second one.

Before the birth of the 2nd baby:

    1. ML says to MC that it doesn't matter if the baby gets aborted since they already have Qiqi.
Hey, it's a really sweet and considerate point but you know it's sad when you grow up and you got to know that your parents actually considered aborting you. I know that the ML cares for the MC but they really need not to point out that they have Qiqi so it's fine for the baby to be aborted.
    1. After MC made a decision to keep the child, MC talk to Qiqi. Qiqi seems to be still insecure that if they will have another baby then he will be abandoned, so MC coax the child and said that
even if they got another child, they will love Qiqi the most (their favorite and most important child).

Seems fine since he's just coaxing the Qiqi to accept the fact that another kid will arrive soon. But MC really need not to say that Qiqi will be their forever favorite. It's sad when in your family, your parents have favoritism in their children. MC can actually say that they will love all the child they same.

    1. MC made a name for himself in the painting/drawing circle, and created an account dedicated to stories he made for Qiqi (yes, only for Qiqi since the account name is like to Mr Qi).
It's cute and considerate for him to create those for Qiqi. But can't the MC even consider that he got another child in his belly? It was always emphasize during that point that MC only draws those story books for Qiqi and won't draw for other kids. Idk, if in the later chapters if he created another one for the 2nd child, but it's

sad when the 2nd one grows up and knows that his mom (dad) actually made a dedicated stories for his elder brother but not for him. He could dedicate it to all his kids, but No, it was emphasize that it was only for Qiqi.

After the birth of the 2nd child:

I was actually waiting that there will be child care scenes but after it's birth I feel that he was always neglected by his parents. Everything revolves around Qiqi.

MC is sensitive enough to know that slight difference in treatment between the 2 children will have bad effects, so the 2nd baby is still surnamed Jiang instead of Yan. So he knows that favoritism is bad yet still treat the 2nd little one kind of a bit unfair.

    1. There were actually no after care scenes for the little kiddo.
    1. During chinese new year, the MC is on a different city so they ML planned to visit the MC with Qiqi. Qiqi actually still needs to remind him that they should also bring the 2nd baby
      .

There's really no problem here you know, just that the first response of the ML is that they will leave the 2nd one to his (ML's) parents instead of thinking if the baby could also go with them. I know ML thinks that the little one is still small but it was already in 2 occasions that they just leave the 2nd one behind. Family gathering always do not include him.

    1. Everytime MC meets with his family it is only Qiqi who gets mentioned. Like how he miss Qiqi, how sweet Qiqi is etc. Hugs and kisses are always for Qiqi. Until the c152, it was only mentioned once that the MC kissed the 2nd one, really far from their elder child who is surrounded by hugs and kisses.
    1. ML also mentioned that it's good that Qiqi do not mind and EXTRA CHILD IN THE HOUSE.

      no problem here

, just the 2nd one getting treated as an extra child.

    1. Last one and the reason I stop reading this eventhough its a cute story. MC just treats the 2nd one as a toy for Qiqi. When they are bonding together, ML asked MC if it's fine that their elder child keeps on poking the 2nd baby to see it's reaction, since ML thinks that he's being treated as a toy but the MC rebutted that it's only all fun and games no harm. He actually never corrects the thinking of Qiqi to the 2nd baby. Like when he keeps on pushing to call him as elder brother, he never did justify that a baby can't really understand what they want him to do (though he was about to tell yet he didn't still do it since the 2nd one already called again). But it will repeat again you know, and worst they might not be around. ML also goes with the flow and pokes the kiddo till he 2nd child ignored him.

It really doesn't matter if the child is adopted or birth, but what matters is how you treat your own child. It's sad to see that they always consider the feelings of Qiqi, they needs of Qiqi but there is never a mention about the 2nd one. He just got tossed to his grandparents and nanny. ML and MC really didn't try to be hands on to the needs and care of the 2nd one. He's more like a pet that can be toss to a caretaker and played by the owned when remembered.

[collapse]

I know MC is adopted so his more caring to children, and more sensitive to the psychological needs of the adoptive one but it also doesn't mean that since the kid is their own then the baby won't need attention from his parents.

It's sad to see him get neglected. It was actually fine without the mpreg.

I wasn't going to write a review for this one, but I got a little angry at one of the reviews here which said that MC didn't care for the second child. Why did I get angry? Because I have a habit of reading reviews before I start a novel, and this review made me consider not reading this novel. Let me tell you, it's misinformation.

So here I am, ready to tell you what really happens:

Spoiler

1. The talk about abortion. Yes, ML did ask MC if he wanted to keep the baby or not. When it comes to being a spouse, ML and MC are top quality, and when it comes to being a father, they are still top quality. Consider: you are a man. Your career is on the rise, and you have lived with the knowledge that you can't give birth to a child. And suddenly, you find yourself pregnant. It's not even an mpreg world. You are an anomaly. The doctors who did a checkup on you are trying not to look at you as if you are a freak. If your partner tells you "you must keep the baby", what would you do? MC, who never even knew what mpreg is, finds himself pregnant. Nobody would be fine with that. In fact, if ML hadn't asked MC for his opinion, I would've been so mad.

2. Talking to Qiqi about the child: children who are adopted are always more sensitive and sensible than kids who are biologically related. And Qiqi's live in the orphanage had always been like this. People really treat adopted children differently; it's not the fault of the child, but of the society and the idiots who think that blood and genes matter in the long run. Qiqi has witnessed so many kids being returned to the orphanage because their adoptive parents got children of their own. He is bound to have his insecurities. MC saying "Qiqi is my favourite, he will be my favourite forever" is a way to coax him and make him more confident. Besides, Qiqi and YanYan always say "you are our favourite daddy", does that change their relationship or love for ML? It doesn't. Asking Qiqi whether he wants a younger sib is the least they can do to make him less insecure. Also, MC has taken a huge risk giving birth to yanyan, because this world doesn't have a proper way to let men give birth. As I said before, it's an anomaly, so things could go real wrong, real fast.

3. MC drawing comics and posting it under the blog he made for Qiqi and not Yanyan: some people forget that when he started that blog, yanyan wasn't even born. For god's sake, MC and ML didn't even know whether the child was born a male or female, they didn't know what they were going to name the child. The child was barely an embryo at that time, how was MC supposed to name the blog after a child when he hadn't met him himself?! When Yanyan is born, the blog name is changed to Mr Q and Mr Y.

3. Qiqi poking yanyan: both of them enjoyed it. What's wrong? Qiqi poked and yanyan giggled. There is not much you can do when you are playing with a baby. The baby enjoys it. They keep poking each other till baby gets bored, which is when they change the game. I don't think I've ever met a 2 month baby who could actively say "hey I want to play such and such game", but I have come across plenty of babies who like attention.

4. ML not taking Yanyan when he and Qiqi go to visit MC: it's obvious why. yanyan is a newborn. It's a bad experience for all of them involved, if there is no person to pay attention to the baby 24/7. a single person travelling while taking care of two kids, and one of them is a newborn. Tell me it's not hellish. Besides, ML still has to hide from the public. A baby needs a lot of care, not to mention that they are going to sit on a plane. Of course, even at this time, they still decide to take yanyan and the entire Jiang family go on a road trip. Because it's not good for an infant below the age if 6 months to travel in an airplane. There was only one big occasion where Yanyan was not included: a family dinner at a restaurant, and they specifically discussed about it; he might not be comfortable with it, so he was left with his grandparents.

5. MC not giving Yanyan enough hugs and kisses? Are we reading the same novel? Yanyan has never had to take a single step on his own. He's always being held and hugged. He's practically pampered like a little prince. I have no idea how ppl got this notion.

6. Yanyan as extra child: I have no idea where you read this.... But he definitely wasn't treated as an extra child. What Qiqi got, he got. There was no favouritism. Yanyan had always been happy, MC and ML treated both of them equally. If his parents didn't let him get his way, yanyan had another person he could act cute to, to get his way. The only time he didn't get something that Qiqi got, was when it wasn't good for him. No matter what, every child has different needs, especially if they have age gaps. Qiqi and yanyan are two different very cute kids, and it's not called favouritism when Qiqi gets to eat burgers while Yanyan doesn't, when yanyan literally doesn't have any teeth. It's also not favouritism when qiqi gets the pet of his choice but yanyan doesn't, because qiqi asked for a puppy and yanyan asked for a freaking pony to ride. Still, his parents decided to bring him to see a pony during the weekends and promised him to let him ride one when he was older. You can pamper children, but spoiling them is just a different kind of abuse, because once kids are spoiled and don't know right from wrong, they will not be able to treat others with basic respect. This can be seen by the example of one ofthe kids in the extras, who is so spoiled that she doesn't even respect her own mother.

All in all, MC and ML are great parents. You'll die of cuteness when you read the extras.

[collapse]

Hmm now to the story. It's surprisingly logical, though the Transmigration part wasn't explained. The villains know when to stop. I even felt a bit sorry for the og protag shou, even though he made me hate his guts. He got his retribution and he changed for the better. There was no destroying people's lives at the drop of the hat. There was no overbearing president towering over the masses. The ML was down to earth, the MC was caring and kind without being holy mother mary. Their banter made me believe in love and companionship again. The best part was the MC himself. He might be op, but there's a reason. He can't be blackmailed, because he keeps recording everything (even ML) to face slap them later. It's not something out of the world, it's common sense. In fact, whenever I read showbiz novels, I always wondered "why can't people record the things to make everything clear?"

MC was a breath of fresh air. There were tropes and cliches, but those cliches were broken because MC doesn't let anything ferment for long. It's direct faceslapping. The best part is the abundance of proper communication between the MC and the ML. And honestly, they respect each other so much that I feel like my standards for fictional men just went high.

MC wasn't a damsel in distress, ML wasn't overbearing, possessive ceo. There's also another thing I really liked: not everybody who disliked MC tried to ruin him s*upidly. The cannon fodders weren't brainless, which was probably why there was no need to light the cannon. In the end, they lived. I liked the fact that the people in the story are a lot more human, 3 dimensional. Honestly, I was pretty uncomfortable with showbiz novels where everybody had to love MC or get destroyed. This story let MC have antifans and people who hated him, and the plot let them live. The actual fact is that there is no way everybody is going to like you, no matter how good you are. There will always be people who dislike you. And it's their right to choose to dislike you, unless they are harming you in some way.

The OP MC did end a lot of problems prematurely, but that doesn't mean that it was boring. The writing style of the author was very mature and very hilarious. The family was loving and the children was cute. This is the kind of relationship I wish my parents had.

All in all, 5 stars, great read, give it a try, you won't regret it. <<less

I just found this randomly suggested in my home page today and I was instantly whipped after reading the first chapter.

My flesh is weak to mpreg, transmigration, a handsome and sensible ML, and an MC who knows what they want.

P.s: might edit this once I finish this novel mwah

Note: this review only covers the main story thus far. I will update my review once I finish reading the extras.

The 98 extras and the mpreg aspect was what originally drew me towards the story, but as I began to read further, I was drawn in by the characters and the gradual build up of relationships - really one of the best aspects of the story are the fluffy family moments and the ambiguity between the couple's feelings as the story progresses. It was to the point... more>> that, by the middle of the (main) story, I forgot it was a mpreg novel at all.

And so, I became conflicted - because honestly once the mpreg aspect was introduced, the tone of the story had shifted and became different to what had gotten me to continue reading in the first place. Still, the next arc was worth reading for the family fluff and the progress of MC and ML's relationship, as well as MC's career.

The MC is... well if I recall, the ML had a whole paragraph to describe the MC in one of the later chapters and it was essentially a character whose charm is built up from contradictions. I really want to compare the MC with a cat, but I feel that's not right... Anyways, I mainly like the MC because of his considerate nature, especially to the adopted son. The adopted son is my favourite character in the series, mainly because he brings in a lot of fluff. As for the ML, he's more the confident narcissistic type than the cold and aloof type we usually get.

I give the MC and ML's relationship a plus for actually communicating with each other about their problems and solving it together.
Spoiler

When "white moonlight" begins to entangle himself with the ML, the ML was so quick to shut him down, talk to the MC about what happened, and avoid the white moonlight so the MC can deal with him personally

[collapse]

Overall, this novel has a great couple dynamic between MC and ML, and is a great source for family fluff if that's what you're looking for. <<less

one of my favourite novel by one of my favourite author. I was reluctant before reading it as there was that 'white moonlight' of ML but I have to say Mls of author are best in terms of relationship and moral conduct.

my views... more>>
Spoiler

ML is responsible for his marriage to him marrying is a new start from past so he makes sure to make his marriage work with MC. At start he thinks MC is just a vase (original one was pathetic person) but here comes our transmigrated MC who is heir to his family which is more higher in status in comparison to ML family. For him he can go to any industry but tries original MC acting profession for something new. At start ML is little passive in relationship but 100% responsible even though that irritating white moonlight comes back and is like so annoying but he is indifferent to him. The fluffiest are the kids of ML n MC. ML has a son adopted prior to marriage but there is a gap in between ML and qiqi. MC was himself adopted in previous life so he understands Qiqi and tries to have him more open up and I have to say Qiqi is adorable.. their 2nd child is biological one where MC gets pregnant some may not like that part but when you see MC son it feels like mpreg tag is okay because he is a cutie. for his pregnancy ML gives MC full authority even to abort as ML always feel guilty for MC.

best thing of this novel is equal relationship between leads (in all author novels) and MC telling ML about transmigration even though ML always feel there is difference between original MC and transmigrated MC but he never forced MC as he believes when they have more years with each other MC would tell him. At start ML was like MC is vase after knowing him ML was like MC is a fox. MC is very strong type, he has a habit of recording which he uses as evidences. He even records his n ML first meeting where ML tells him he wont fall in love with him and have ML listen to it after ML proposes MC and that proposal was something to look forward...

for white moonlight

Spoiler

he is so disgusting you just feel like taking him out of novel and beat him. he is more pathetic than a female white lotus. after falling in love with MC, ML realizes that he may have never loved that white lotus (well plot god) . to that white lotus world should revolve around him and marriage has no value in his eyes. HE is like ML should care for him even though he is married and treat MC with indifference. For him ML should be his sparetyre. He specifically looks for MC in a show (because ML has stopped his contacts with him) to tell him that ML likes him and he shouldnt stop ML from meeting him and breaks his friendship with him. MC is like go tell him why are you coming to me but WL is like a c*ckroach who wont go away. but when same thing happens to him he is like to that scum gong like how could you do this to me blah blah.. He even sends goons for beating up MC when MC was pregnant and with Qiqi even though MC beats up those goons as he had previous heir training but then MC took off his gentleness and have white lotus beat up by his friend contacts Wei lan (who is lovable character and always protects MC when comes to white lotus even the only friend who knows about MC pregnancy). that white lotus got his fair retribution..

well he just has few chapters like 10 so dont worry most novel is filled with fluff. even though it is entertainment novel but it isnt like other novels where most novel is about acting skills, it rather revolves around relationships. It is like a career not more than rather that focus is on relationship and fluff..

As far for that white moonlight he just is disgusting to the core. Even with his end I never felt any pity for him. He even has the adacity to tell MC he is the third party but MC is like showing him the meaning of third party at baidu. MC tells him directly that he left ML feelings for chasing scum gong and was never in relationship with ML and to him ML was like a sparetyre.

I read the raws of this novel a couple months ago, and it was one of the most enjoyable novels I've ever read. The MC is calm and mature, he always knows what he wants, and he trusts in ML without sticking to the "oh since he liked the protagonist in the book then he would never like me" mentality that a lot of transmigrators cling onto. Vice-versa the ML does not have that scummy "always believes the white moonlight over your SO" thing. As soon as he marries MC,... more>> he's dedicated to making he and MC work out.

There is mpreg in the novel, but the main relationship centered around adopted relationships. MC was adopted in his original world (by good people) and ML also has an adopted son that MC also loves.

Spoiler

There was an specially sweet part near the end where ML wanted the son MC gave birth to to have MC's surname because their other son already had ML's name (ML was especially distressed by how the pregnancy affected MC professionally, physically and emotionally). MC declined ML's offer because he didn't want their adopted son to think he was left out or that MC loved him less. It found it sweet how ML was more aggrieved about the fact than MC.

[collapse]

Entertainment circle-wise, there's not a lot of crazy melodrama, but the plot is quite entertaining. There are some ensemble cast members that start out as minor characters and eventually receive their own small subplots (especially one that really surprised me near the end that I won't spoil). White moonlight got his just-desserts. He wasn't 100% evil, and he had some dimension to him. Compared to the white moonlight in this author's other novels he was a... passable person. <<less

This is my first time writing a review. I just had to write one for this novel. Wanna know why? It's because to say that this novel is good is not going to be enough. It'll be an understatement. This novel is excellent alright!

I'm really hyped about this novel because it has very thing that I wanted from a arranged marriage plot novel.
    • Spoiler
        • It has Pragmatic MC! God I have been searching for a pragmatic MC for so long that I literally shed a tear after finding and reading it. Pragmatic MC is awesome! It's the ultimate balm for suffering through all those s*upid dense as f*ck MCs from several face slapping generic dog blood novels!!!!!! I guess it shows just how frustrated I was before finding this gem of a MC
        • The recording habit is also a plus point for me. Lemme tell you how much I screamed in frustration other novels where the transmigrated MCs know that they transmigrated into a generic dog blood novel and they have to face certain situations where things may get tricky as f*ck and they may need some evidence for protection and black-mail. Like dude it's freaking common sense that the world you transmigrated is following a s*upid nonsensical plot, so you need to be prepared for some countermeasures. But no they just keep pilling up the misunderstandings just like that. So when I saw that this MC is using recorders to take countermeasures, it just felt like I can finally take a breath of relief!
        • Another aspect that was really gold is the understandable explanations that the author gave for making the MC so OP. Like we don't say that the ML is too OP when it comes to thee types of novels because we have this expectations that the MLs will be OP to fit into the typical powerful Top type. But when it comes to MCs, we have many comments. But here the author gave reasonable explanations. Like the MC is OP because in the original world the MC was the heir of a powerful family and the family had a history of delving into the dark side for a while I thing. That's why he needed to learn some skills such as fighting skills and martial arts to protect himself and being calm and pragmatic to face tricky situations. And for the other skills such as painting and playing piano, there is also a reasonable explanation. The MC was an orphan before he was adopted into that powerful family in the original world. So the MC was starved for familial love and wanted to work hard to satisfy his adopted parents. As such he gained these additional skills to make his parents happy and to fit into the ideal son and heir image which he created within his mind. You have to keep in mind that the MC was in the orphanage till he was 8 years old. So he pretty big when he was adopted and knew that he had to be perfect so that his parents would accept him wholly and love him wholly. Now this was his own point of view because of course his adopted parents were good person so they would have loved him regardless of him obsessing over perfection. Another point is that even the acting skill that the MC showed after transmigrating is also the effect of him being an orphan. Because as an orphan, his biggest desire was to get adopted. So he was pretty sensitive towards others' emotions and can empathize with others. It's a skill I believe he picked up so that he will be able to please his future adopted parents and this is the skill he used to empathize with the characters he's gonna play in the movies and series and that's how he was good at acting. So the explanation given for MC's OPiness is believable in my opinion.
        • The relationship between the MC & ML is pure gold I tell ya! Yes it is an arranged marriage and yes before and during the marriage ML had feelings for the White Moonlight (ML's first love). So this aspect may make some hesitate that perhaps there will be the typical drama of the ML being infatuated with the White Moonlight even after his marriage and his promise to be committed to it and thus basically tiptoeing the line of unfaithfulness. But in here the ML does no such thing. Yes he still had feelings for the White Moonlight in the earlier stage but his promise to the MC to completely give up on the White Moonlight after his marriage and his desire to make this arranged marriage work is solid and iron clad! Also the MC has the plan to live a nice life in this world and make this marriage work and give the ML a chance despite knowing that he's infatuation is still sorta there. And thus there was no communication gape between them and their relationship developed beautifully as from the very start both of them worked in their own way to make this marriage work. I liked that the author gave importance to marriage in the correct way. Like marriage is a commitment that the both party agreed upon. Like it was not treated as a flimsy paper like in other novels.
        • Also there is no love rival for the ML. Like no other person chasing after the MC because he is so diffrenet from others. I liked this point because it was pretty different and offered some freshness from the usual drama.
        • Also the greatest plus point is the children here! One was adopted and the other was the product of mpreg. I liked how the author gave insights in the psychology of adopted children and how parents need to take extra attention to fulfill those needs. The interaction between the MC and QiQi is cute af o ((>
          <)) o
        • Lastly the White Moonlight is disgusting. That's all I'm gonna say for this piece of sh*t (
          )

Give it a go. It's pretty fulfilling despite having few flaws. You won't regret it.

This novel is so good. ML & MC married to each other while they are acknowledge the fact that they are not in love but they're fully commited and willing to try to make the relationship worked. Their adopted child makes their relationship smoother as MC really love the child and helping ML to get close to the child.

MC is an intellegent, witty, sassy, and strong person because in his last life he is a heir of powerful family. He basically said that he will success if he choose to... more>> enter business world but because oriMC is an actor, he wants to try that. ML is a proud, decisive, and warm person. He is a movie emperor but currently in the plan to retreat behind the scene and take care his entertainment company. I also like that in this story, ML's elder sister is the heir of their family's group so no BS where only male can be the heir.

Not many face slapping but every face slapping is so good because MC is someone who like to record when facing enemy.

I also like the relationship between MC & ML. They're slowly building their trust and along the way fall in love with each other. Not only that, but also their family interaction is sooooooo sweet and warm. Love their childs so much. But one thing that makes me a little put-off is the mpreg part. I dont think it's necesarry but well...

All in all, this novel is worth the read. <<less

Shou MC is not defenceless, he is your WeiWuXian but tone down 50% and very very allmighty LOL There's a cute bun too! This novel is more on the entertainment element. But the mpreg element is a bit ridiculous.

I absolutely love love love the ML in this. He actually understands that a spouse is not someone you signed a piece of paper with. Regardless of whether the spouse is your beloved, they are your family member and life partner first and deserve to be respected. I love how solid his three views, as novels put it, are. He draws clear lines with his past and doesnt disrespect his spouse in any way. Kudos to him for realising that even if affections are not entirely under our control, our... more>> decisions to act upon them definitely are. I am not a fan of dog-blood nonsense so I really like clear cut characters who can act rationally and ethically. Im just not into the whole pining away after the white moonlight and wronging and hurting your spouse, then chasing them back after you finally fall for them. Those kinds of scum are not worth being MLs. They are too selfish and only care about their own feelings, expecting the spouse to tolerate the emotional cheating when they like another and then expecting forgiveness and reconciliation when they finally condescend to fall in love with their spouse- I really like this kind of ML who decisively puts his feelings aside and treats his spouse with every bit of respect he is entitled to and actively looks towards the future instead of brooding over the past.

The MC is also wonderful- he is a strong character who can go with the flow and remain rational. I absolutely love their banter because it is a rare dynamic in C-novels... for some reason most danmei novels have submissive shous and dominant and controlling gongs and the authors seem to think that being willing to banter dissipates the tyrannical CEO aura of the gong.. which is kind of valid, but I think banter is a great sign that shows the strength of their relationship- just like an insecure child may be a bit to obedient, while a child secure in their parents affections may be more comfortable acting out and expressing himself. The banter puts them on an even footing which is a good sign and tells me that the relationship can last long. <<less

This is a good story. I mtled this until the end. I'm giving this 3 star because the author's portrayal to the 2nd child is unwarranted.

I just feel pity with the MC and ML's 2nd child. Even though the MC was adopted in his previous life, but it feels like he didn't give enough love to his 2nd child and sometimes its a bit awkward or unreasonable. Though the 2nd child might not know what the MC was thinking but as a reader who knows his thoughts were it might... more>> be a bit irresponsible. It feels like he's favoring the 1st child and just giving the left over to the 2nd child. And maybe this is the reason the 2nd child is more close to the 1st child/adopted child because he shows more love and care than his parents do. Just like when the MC made a story book for his adopted child but not for his 2nd child (though in the extra chapter he seems considering to add his 2nd child) but the 2nd child never questioned it. The 2nd child is actually quite sensible and cute. I can't phantom why the MC needs to treat the two children differently. After all the two are his children, one is adopted while the other one is his biological child. Can't the MC treat them equally? I really don't get why the author needs to have a plot like this, just because the MC was adopted, so the MC needs to treat the adopted son better than his own biological son? Really absurd. This story would have been even better if there was no mpreg at all. Saves me for the heartache/pity I felt for the 2nd child. <<less

A really really really REALLY GOOD NOVEL to read! Ah!!! The ML and MC didn't instantly fell in love with each other. They married each other for other reasons: ML to forget his white moonlight who ran away to chase his own white moonlight; MC to save the family of the person he transmigrated to and also his own life. MC is actually a smart not-another-damsel-in-distress-cannofodder-wanting-revenge type of person since he knew himself that whatever had happened to the character he transmigrated into was his own fault: the guy wasn't using his brain clearly and was extremely blinded by his own emotions; so he tried to do everything he can to achieve a life where in he won't get killed by any kind of scum "bf" and also won't drag his family into a pit. The romantic journey of the two is really cute. And when they're throwing dog food I can't help but say "AO AO AO" and roll like a dog hahahahaha coz its so darn sweeeeeeeeeeeet asdfghjkl aaaaaaaahhhhh. XD

Also some side characters were also funny and had there own personality and stories. Especially Wei Lan, you couldn't help not to love the guy more and more; his the best guy through out the whole story, HANDS DOWN. Where can we find a guy like Wei Lan in RL though. Find a guy like Wei Lan everyone. The guy is really a precious person. :3

Also, MC may seem OP as the story goes on buuuuuut hey it has a reason why the guy could almost do anything, except singing ahahahaha.
Spoiler

It was due to the fact that his adopted parents, especially his father, had trained him to every means possible to protect and care for himself and the right manners and conduct of an heir to the family of Yan.

MC was always being chosen by the parents to be adopted, because his cute, nice, and smart. The other kids his age became jealous because of this, thus they made rumors that he was a thief which made the people who would adopt and have adopted him to return him to the orphanage after a day or a week of adopting him. His dad, Yan father who adopted him, thought him to actually find a way for himself to prove his innocence which resulted to him having a habit of recording things as a proof of his innocence whenever he thinks a situation would get him or his family to lost face or in danger.

[collapse]

The MC is such a sweet and loving person. He appreciates each and everyone that made him feel familial love and belonging. If you gave him love and trust, he would give you almost tenfolds of it. He loved his family from his former world because they loved him truly, his parents were the one who saved him and gave him light on his dark days. He loved the Yan family of this world too, tho at first he was a bit uncomfortable, but him feeling how much they really cared for the former Yan QingChi and he himself, made him love them with all his heart. He trust and love Wei Lan like a younger brother, seeing how much Wei Lan cared for him, his unwavering trust towards MC and always taking his side whenever he gets into scandals and troubles.

He loved ML and the family they created because in this unfamiliar world he was in, the ML is the only familiar person he could trust whole heatedly, he was his light in the unfamiliar world he transmigrated into. And for the ML, the MC was his light, the sun that had overshadowed the moonlight he had formerly and blindedly chased before. So yeah it was a really really good read. A little bit of a note:

Spoiler

In later part of the story there would be chapters that would be almost just about Jiang Mo and Yan QingChi's fans and haters.

Just skimmed those parts tho since especially the part where the opening paragraph where about the main characters and the middle paragraphs where all about CP wars then the closing paragraph was about the main characters again, since only around 75% (that middle paragraphs) of that chapter were focusing about the fans. Also later on there would be around 3 or so chapters that were all about the fans fighting over when the main publicized their relationship.

Binge-read this for 2~3 days and I love it. Let's start off with some cons/warnings before you get into this story. Also: SPOILERS

Cons:

Spoiler

Like some people said, the mpreg was a strange thing to add. I'd say it didn't have much impact on the story and would be the same if the main couple had just adopted again. I felt uncomfortable reading it since there's no real explanation aside from Jaing Mochen being the MC in a novel.

Here's a warning and spoiler about the mpreg:

Yuan Mingxu gets pregnant as well but miscarries. He was abused by Zhao Yixing and it also suggests that YMX was r*ped. I can't remember the chaps and I'm too uncomfortable to look for it but it's definitely a part you can skip.

The ending also felt a bit rushed? Yan Qingchi 100% deserved the best male actor award considering how the roles he's played have very different vibes (jumping from an idol story to a military story then a martial arts) but having them announce their relationship then in like 2 chapters announce their wedding was very off-putting.

[collapse]

Pros:

Spoiler

The amount of trust between Jiang Mochen and Yan Qingchi is raising the bars. JMC has done a bg check on YQC before meeting and can immediately notice that there's a stark contrast between the YQC he's seen in reports and the YQC he's met. Luckily that's around mid to late parts of the story so by the point he's suspicious/curious, he has complete trust in YQC.

YQC also has a lot of trust in JMC. There's a part where YMX (JMC's "white moonlight") is trying to insinuate that JMC likes him (YMX) more than YQC (legal spouse) but completely fails. Even when YQC finds out that JMC met w/YMX privately (just to tell YMX to stop harrassing them but YQC doesn't know) he's more upset that JMC didn't tell him that he was going to see YMX.

On the topic of YMX-

He doesn't last for more than 30 to 45 chapters. He's really a minor villain that's jumping like a clown. Same thing w/ZYX.

I also like how they raised QiQi and YanYan. Although they don't have much time in the story, you can tell how much YQC and JMC try to be part of their children's lives. When they're separates during holidays, one side wil bring the kids to the other parent to celebrate. For New Years and birthdays.

There's also YQC's past life. It's sprinkled around enough and coherant enough for you to understand why he's so talented. He's an orphan adopted by a rich family and gets along with them very well even after his younger brother was born. His mother liked playing the piano so he learned how to play for her. He had a bad time once in the orphanage and developed a habit to record things so he wouldn't be wronged. He's skilled at hand to hand combat for self defense purposes.

And I just got started on the extras. 100% recommend to read. The second extra is making me green with envy at just how adorable their family is.

[collapse]

All in all, a nice story to read for fun. Don't think too hard but don't be too brainless. Just let the fluff rot your teeth. <<less

Pleasant to read. However, the story as mentioned is very idealistic only a little sense of reality. Hence, there are lot of character flaws and plot holes.
Spoiler

the chapter in which they immediately drive (had sex) after they married is out of tune with the story flow. For MCs side, I can understand his side but not for ML. The ML explained that his reason was to establish a relationship with the MC (Note that the ML didn't love the MC during this time. There are many ways to establish a relationship).

[collapse]

There are also plot holes, like ML asking MC that their marriage should be discreet yet ML asked MC on the night of the shooting to rest in his room. The ML said "their marriage should be hidden but doesn't mean they are unfamiliar" so he can be entangled with MC, yet they are overly too familiar and close outside (for several times!!) I am the one who is afraid for them. Are paparazzi don't exist in the novel..? ? Also with the ML's phrase "marriage is only once in a lifetime so he wants to give the best and unique to the one he loves" yet he married the MC at first without love. The only thing I like about ML is the principled personality of him. Since after he married the MC he decided not cheat on him. However, I find the ML HYPOCRITE, CAPITALIST and CHAUVINISTIC. He didn't even think "what if he finds his true love eventually and it is not the MC"

I like the MC yet he is suppressed by the ML (suppressed in a way that MC can do more. But this eventually changed around c120. The ML let the MC fly). The MC is only free duty his acting ? I like danmei since I like seeing to MC and ML stand side by side in which there is no strong nor weak. If MC is suppressed by ML, what's the difference of it (danmei) with shoujo except gender?

I agree with reviewer jadelin, it do have a high potential to go dogblood, especially with the white lotus villain but it did not go that way. Instead, it ended up sweet. Like super sweet. I love the proposal it's so creative and romantic.

Lovely families on both side and for once, it was the elder sister who was the head of the powerful clan, not the ML. And the ML idolizes his cool sister. Likeable MCs, likeable side characters. Pregnancy only started around the latter half but there is already... more>> the adopted 5yo child of the ML that makes the household bright. Even if the story focuses more on the showbiz part, the mpreg and childcare part is still there are balances cuteness of the story. <<less

This is really great fluff and well-developed romance. The author did a very good job at characterizing both MC and ML over the course of the novel, slowly revealing tidbits of MC's past. Both he and ML are powerful in their own right, although MC wins 90% of their arguments on account of his verbal acumen and general sauciness. On the other hand, ML appears to be your average "Cool President™" on the surface, but is actually a bit direct and naive, especially when it comes to love and child... more>> rearing. Their little family is beyond adorable and it's heartwarming to watch the process of MC and ML develop their relationship in an unconventional manner. First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes baby in a baby carriage? Not in this novel. Of course, this novel metes out the appropriate revenge for the novel's protagonist, second male lead, and original host's ex-boyfriend. Nothing too dramatic or suspenseful there.

The mpreg was a bit random, but I can see how it was necessary to stall ML's proposal develop MC and ML's relationship as well as further elaborate on MC's past.

As for the extras, it's not necessary to read all of them. The first story showcases the family starring on a variety show, and the second is about a side character and his stepbrother. <<less

Idealistic. Rate 4/5 for easy, fluff read.

Unlike other novels from this author this novel is more on an easy side, without much twists, pretty obvious face-slapping, but a really-really great love relationship and family. There's a really great description in the novel that they came to the final stop and now move backwards enjoying the view they missed, because first they got married, then established intimate relationship and later started to fall in love. You might ask yourself - how are they developing like that? I mean.. At first it... more>> was a promised marriage, but both parties are not repulsive against each other, why should they start from the wrong foot, while it was a first thing stated that they go into marriage very willingly with normal feelings. It's a really warming story with cool MC and respectful ML. It's interesting to watch how one can be a human plug-in doing many things others can't and be a doting father at the same time and how the other is a man with principles, though offering a marriage with no feelings at first, but he respects his spouse, never wanting to obstruct his development or his dreams or hurt his feelings. The story itself is pretty easy-going, with few dramatic moment and few villans here and there, main is the fake white lotus, who acts like white dead flower all the time. But it is easily solved by our power couple. It's one of few novels with a lovely family, where kids are not used as attributes just as few words, but take part in the story.

Also, a good point - it has one of the finest secondary characters, Wei Lan, he's really a bomb gem. Though I'll be honest, this story has long extra stories, but unfortunately I din't care for those.

Just imo, but at times this novel started to drag or involved not so interesting parts that could be cut out, the whole mpreg thing, though in the novel it's really cute etc. But it doesn't play that big part (it could be re-written for something else and it'd be the same). That's imo though :) I personally shaved 1 star off for one simple reason, when the arc with white moonlight was over the story changed to peaceful sweet waters, although there were few bumps here and there, but it looked like extras, it contrasted to the first part of the story and felt limp, it wasn't too important if it continued or not, since both MC and ML came to the main stop of their relationship. <<less

Spoiler

It feels like the author was held to a gunpoint and forced to make this story mpreg because literally nobody gave a flying fck about MC’s pregnancy, sure they were pleasantly surprised but thats about it, I even pity the baby, MC literally said, since its here already why not just go through with it, and, Qiqi you’ll always be daddy’s favorite kid even if you have a baby brother or sister, ML was also like, if one day something happens to you and your child and you can only choose one between you two I’ll choose you without hesitation, anf YES they did say these, like, DAMN they really don’t care, they don’t deserve the baby tbh poor him/her. I know he only said that to Qiqi to comfort him but at least limit it to “I’ll still love you just the same” or something, the baby IN YOUR BELLY is also your kid, a biological one even, and its like they’re treating that unborn baby as a stranger, an outsider, like what the fck? Thats YOUR kid! I’d hate to say this but make it make sense, you love your adopted kid more than your own baby? You favor him more? I know you don’t want Qiqi to feel like he’s going to be left out because you’re gonna have a kid, but at this rate YOU’LL be making YOUR baby feel like he’s/she’s unwanted.

I can get past that but only because I already took the trouble to mtl to this far. <<less
