A two year old ordinary cat travels through time to become a thousand year old demon cat, Hua Miao Miao.

Little Miao Miao doesn’t understand the complications of life, still acting like an ordinary cat.

Unexpectedly, Hua Miao Miao meets Bi Qing Shen Jun, a warrior god who looks like her previous owner, and is tricked by him to go to the heavens to become his disciple.

Under the tutelage of Shifu Bi Qing Shen Jun, after going through numerous painful challenges, little Miao Miao finally understands what it means to be a “cat.”

This is actually a pretty cute story that's full of laughs. Sometimes I get frustrated by the female protagonist just because she lacks common sense though lol. But yeah, a fun read once you disregard her intelligence and remember she was once a mere household cat that was spoiled rotten lol

The starting was really funny and hilarious. I can't stop laughing at FL and her dummy thoughts! The interaction between FL and ML was also funny, I liked it. But it doesn't make me read the novel too much.. In middle it became boring somehow

I wish Ao Yun has a better ending and I feel bad to Xiao Mao because he was left by his mother and father for 1000 years.

I can still feel the pain when Ao yun scream because Miao Miao died.

This was honestly such a cute and touching story!

I went in for a light read and it was so cute and funny that when it got to the sad bits I really did cry.

I admit that the start was a little frustrating, but mind you this is written on purpose and you can notice the level of development that reflect the FL's growth, which is pretty cool and makes it feel personal you know.

Wonderful! It’s been a long time I read a novel that can make me laugh so hard and cry a river. There’s some beautiful lines that heart wrecking, pinch your heart and then makes you remember about your loved ones and want to be a better person to them. The narration is perfect, you can imagine the comedic scenes and just can’t help to love all the characters. Recommended if you like ascending do not disturb and my mister ostrich.

Some people said vol 2 and 3 not as good as... more>> vol 1, well I disagree. Yes you can just finish the story until vol 2, but I think vol 3 is also good. I really enjoy the reading journey, thank you for the translator hard work to deliver these beautiful translation.

The writer must be a cat maniac like me, MC character truly a cat character. She is super s*upid but really proud, I can imagine if my cat turns to demon cat, definitely had the same personality. The romance fluffiness is just soooo sweet. Love love love this piece! <<less

The premise of this story is something I haven't seen before, told from the perspective of a modern-day house cat that transmigrates into a powerful demon cat of the xianxia world. Along the way to find a sense of home, she learns what it means to be human.

Vol. 1 is very light and fluffy, mostly just hilarity and fun shenanigans following the thoughts/actions of a simple-minded feline unused to human customs and linguistics. A number of reviewers found that after Vol.1 it gets sad or too love-focused, but I didn't... more>> feel that way personally. It may be slightly more serious as Miao Miao becomes more 'human'-like, but there's no angst really.

Vol. 2 reads like a long epilogue.

Miao Miao and friends have to win back the now-mortal Bi Qing without memories of their past. This turns out to not be too difficult and they get together pretty quickly. More funny shenanigans of learning to be a virtuous housewife and side characters getting their own relationships.

Vol. 3 is different from the previous ones. I liked the collision of the concepts of choice and fate. They are the real OTP. Sweet ending.

It was fun to see all the old characters back in their modern-day forms. Yandere Ao Yun was somewhat surprising, I didn't expect his love to be that deep to actually wait 1000 years...

I have two favorite novel series ever.

This is one of them.

Largely because of the (in my opinion) good and realistic character developments.

The others summed up my opinions pretty well, but I also have to say, I actually loved the second half more than the first! In my opinion, this was their redemption arc, this was the peak of the novel when they were facing the "big bad" after going through their journey together. I rate this 5 stars so people will read up to the start of v2 (chapter 106). Up to that point, it's a hillarious attempt to turn a cute cat into a human. Everything past that point is essentially a wrap-up to make the story a happy ending. However, the main premise of the story has changed and I found it flat in comparison to the first half of the story.

It is properly written to stop at chapter 105. But be warned. If you take my suggestion and stop at... more>> the volume 2 prologue, this story is a tear jerking tradgedy. So I guess it's up to you to decide if you want the wishy-washy happy ending or the beautiful tradgedy.

Why do I have the sinking suspicion that the editor informed the author that they couldn't write a tradgedy and made them write the next arc.

just putting this here till the time I'm reading this for good. The MC being thrown into the world of journey to the west made me saw those drama actors from that 1996 version I saw when I was a kid. Disturbing x')

for those not knowing much of JttW, it's pretty good from what I already read ^^

A very heartwarming story which will make you laugh and cry. The quality and fast releases of translation plays a big part in my rating as otherwise the story will be a bit hard to follow (or maybe it's just me).

It's one of those stories where it's very good as a whole and you need a bit of time to get engrossed in it. That's why, you need to give it a chance if you are thinking of dropping it after reading a few chapters. If you like the synopsis, then you will like the story.

Even if you don't like the synopsis, chances are you will still like the story because the cuteness, humour, plot, character development and feels in this novel is not to be underestimated.

Thumbs up to the Author for writing such a gem and many thanks to the translator for skillfully translating this gem with out loosing its luster.

This is a lovable, cute, and funny to read. I love the MC simple-mindedness and innocent personality, which causes funny misunderstandings and so on. Only thing I dislike is how the marriage felt rushed.. I think they should of waited until the MC can actually make "sensible" decisions. It just felt like a little kid agreeing to something they don't know what or it means. Overall this is a great novel and I highly recommend it to peeps

Super adorable story. Read it one sitting. I loved the humor and misunderstandings caused by the simple-minded protagonist and the romance is written so well. Lol'd constantly. The translation and speedy updates are much appreciated.
