This is an interesting take on the "clueless MC" trope. Unlike your standard "MC is a dense moron who never realizes anything for no good reason", the MC truly believes he's playing a game. And who can blame him when he was told he was getting a chance to Beta test the latest VRMMO, and he has all the standards of an MMO like stats, skills, overlays, and the key ability to logout. If you could logout of a fantasy world, take a nap, and watch some TV, wouldn't you... more>> think you were playing a game? It also doesn't help that this world seems to perfectly align with the setting of the game, locations and events included, so the guides and tips from other players all match perfectly.

This creates some funny interactions between the MC and the natives. Him operating on the assumption of this being a game sees everyone as NPCs or Players. So when he encounters someone and helps them assuming they are a Quest NPC but then doesn't get a quest, he misunderstands and thinks the other person is a player and he committed the forbidden act of "kill stealing", causing him to run away. Meanwhile the girl he just saved simply wanted to say thank you.

This could be a funny throw away or an interesting take on humans misunderstanding each other if the author decides to take things further. But seeing as we are only 9 and a half chapters in it's hard to say which way the story will go. For now it's worth reading for a quick laugh though. <<less

I can only say this story is awesome b~ut sadly is not properly taken care of~ gotta wait for more chappie to learn if I degrade it or not

Its a story about a dude who beta tested a VRMMORPG game and due to some weird happening *maybe truck-kun transformed~* the world he entered is a parallel world with sword and magic and there as a misunderstood player (actually he is the one who misunderstoods its a game) causes a huge ruckus in that world~

To put it simple.

The Avatar that Protag use is connect to an Isakai world. And he is the only one like that.

That world use the same system as the game Protag current playing.

As a player, Protag is over power compare human/ demon/ vampire in that world. He also search web, wiki, forum to know how to build.

There are three country in this world.

Main character makes totally 3 characters.

1st for test player, play time 1 week and he will save that country by chance.

2nd for close beta test, play time 1 month, he will meet the heroine, the saint and her knight servant. As the first time someone asking for his help, he party with the girls for months.

He use premium item EXP booster to help heroine and her lady knight change to 2nd job. He help heroine build the Sage supporter build. He become a Wizard. And the knight servant become Berserker.

By chance Heroine save the whole town in a great invasion and was worship as a saint. She was in love with Main character but her father doesn't allow it. Her father broke the dragon cane that Main character craft for her in front of her. His character got deleted again.

3rd for open beta test. He choose the 3rd country that he never play before at starting point. He got a super rare gacha mount house carriage and he try it for the first time.

When he test run in town, he run over a demon that chasing the princess of this country. He help the princess run away from demon to meet the Duke, the princess's uncle.

Together they fight to get back the throne from the demons.

The Duke, princess Uncle was KIA and he try use premium item to revive him. He realize it before that this world isn't a game but reality. Still he try to fool himself and turn blind eyes to it. He fail to revive the Duke and break down in crying.

The third country in control of the Demon wave war with 2nd country where the heroine live. As a saint, the heroine must come together with army to attack the 3rd country.

And there we go, the tragic meeting with the Heroine the saint, Main character the saint's teacher.

I really love the game element novel.

The cluelessness of the MC is unbearable. Even after several weeks of playing the "VR game" and interacting with the residents of the Isekai world, he still thinks that his party members are "players" when in fact they're residents of the Isekai world. It's unbelievable that after spending tens of hours with them, how is it possible to not realize that they're not speaking to each other about the same places or things or about the same world? The author simply forces these unrealistic misunderstandings in order to not break... more>> the plot.

Spoiler

For example, the party members ask the MC where he is from, and he tells them Osaka. They don't know where Osaka is because Osaka is in the real world and not in the Isekai world, and they don't bother to ask the MC for more information about the location. The MC never bothers to ask the party members where they are from. What happened to normal conversation etiquette? Instead the MC asks one member what his family does, and the reply was farming, so the MC simply assumes they are farmers in Japan, when in fact they are farmers in the Isekai world. How bad must their conversation skills have to be in order for such extreme misunderstandings to occur?

[collapse]

With tens of hours together, why has the MC never talked to the party members about the game elements and system if he assumes that they are real players? Such a conversation would have clued the party members that they're not speaking about the same world.

Every scene is repeated twice. The first time is from the MC's perspective, and the second time is from the Isekai resident's perspective, for the purpose of creating or reinforcing the misunderstanding. This doubling slows down the progression and gets very annoying for the reader, as you have to endure reading and repeating the same thing over again with only a few additional details inserted.

I think the misunderstanding premise is completely unbelievable.

There is also too much internal monologue with unnecessary details that drags on the scenes. <<less

I remember reading this at syosetsu before and it's a good "Misunderstandings" type of novel for me 'cause unlike the usual Dense type of misunderstanding the MC really thought at first that he's just playing the game due to the fact that he can always log out into the real world.
And he also use the knowledge that he learned from the forums online as he play the game, which makes him as a special/powerful existence on the game world
... more>>
Spoiler

There was a time when he goes to an alchemy shop and he gave the basic potion formulas to the child of the alchemist and after he leaves the father-son duo finds that the formula was already lost from the aeons of time.

And to some people who wants to know if the MC will finds out if the game he's playing in is a another world then the answer is a big YES, he will learn it when the demons invaded the kingdom he's staying in.

Just finished reading the raws and I have to say this story is amazing. It's a VRMMORPG/ISEKAI novel with actual plot and living characters. Despite this being a hilarious misunderstanding comedy, there are consequences for every action.

This is one of the stories that makes learning a different language worth it.

Spoiler

This story is one of the best that I've ever read in terms of VRMMO theme to transported. Though I think the author should prolong the story a little bit more because the readers crave for more chapters. But still the ending is good, they reunited at the end. Nothing more will I wish as it is a happy ending.

Is an interesting story because for the MC is a game, he can even Log Out the game and the advice he finds in forums and the Wiki about the game works. But for the people in the game, for the NPCs, is real life and our MC abilities and way of acting are strange. However since the MC is supposed to be a Beta Tester and the game is Multiplayer I wonder how long it will take him or the developers to find out something weird is going on.... more>> I mean the first report the developers read about the game that comes from him is going to be interesting. <<less

Awesome story, love the misunderstandings, no ludicrous harem.

Downside is translation is rather SLOW considering that each release is only half of a chapter, and the erratic period of time between releases.

Translated chapters as of now has only finished volume 1. While Raws already finished volume 5. With vol.6 yet to come out. Thats what mtl is for. ;) Still I am grateful to have these chapters as it introduced me to this novel happy reads!

Web novel review. The beginning of the story is what you're looking for if you're wanting a misunderstanding comedy, but by volume 2 the story suddenly becomes serious and the comedy is downplayed. The MC is dumb as a rock ... more>>

and it takes him a while to finally realize that he's not in a game,

but it's still a fairly decent read. The drama is kinda whatever though, hope the future chapters cut down on that (but they won't). So I'm not sure if I'll continue it for the second half of the story. The light novel seems to have made some significant changes (added a new character), so maybe that's a better read. The TL went with the WN for some reason instead though.

Translation: The translation (or at least, the editing/proofreading, since I can't comment on the TL quality) is really good. Made me forget I was even reading a fan translation, since it was such a nice read. So props to them. <<less

4 out of 5. Isekai vrmmo but actually able to log out compared to standard isekai-ed to game world, minor change but massive impact to this title's story progression.

MC is a winner of a lucky raffle to participate a latest game CBT with all its technological glories, makes sense very much to underline the whole misunderstanding trope. He is also a sensible man, he tries to follow what generic mmo players do like looking for guides and character builds while trying to stick to general mmo etiquette.

The misunderstandings however, as... more>> hilarious as they are, they sometimes makes no sense but author wraps the stories very nicely under the whole initial setup author has set in the beginning chapters. It would be nice however if author actually lengthens some chapters and add more chapters in between so it connects everything smoothly.

Those 2 points made me lower my review to 4/5. Maybe author will grow more skillful in the next chapters, I'm only 16 chapters in. Good read, recommend for those who likes isekai, vrmmo, misunderstanding tags. <<less

I can only give 3 stars since though I quite like the story but when it came to the later parts, I don't know what the author thought of so that the ending became like that, not satisfied with it.
