Regressor, Reincarnator, Possessor, Traveler, or Predestined. I will hunt down the protagonists that exist in the countless worlds and absorb their abilities.

Here lies the protagonist.

The continent’s hope.

The hero who will save the world.

The hero who currently has a hole through his chest!

With the Spirit of Earth, freed the Dwarfs and gained their trust.

Purified the contaminated Forest of Spirits and became the Fairies’ benefactor.

Resealed the Ancient Stone statues found in one of the ruins.

Exterminated the giant sea serpent that emerged from the sea.

Defeated the 47th Demon Lord of the underworld…

“Aside from assaults and mu*ders there were other death related incidents as well as vandalism, arson, and etc…”

“S-spare me…”

Psh!

That was the protagonist.

But now, he has died by my hands.

Great start and premise but became tr*sh midway. The dimensional traveler thing was a good spice but author was incapable of making use of it efficiently without making it seem like him just liking something and then adding it on to the story. My favorite parts are the side quests he did and didn't really care for what happens in his world. I expected too much from it hence the 2 stars.

I really love this story so far. The MC is a protagonist hunter who must go to other worlds to kill protagonists because they steal the blessings of their worlds and cause their destruction. The hub world Earth that the MC lives in is basically your standard hunter world like in solo leveling where dungeons/rifts open up and monsters can start invading if the dungeons aren't cleared. The characters are quite likeable and maybe it's because I enjoy childish edgy events but there's a great catharsis in seeing the MC... more>> kill arrogant silver spooned protagonists. <<less

Pretty darn good, it has cliches but doesn’t feel too cliche at the same time. I just feel so far the summary and title are somewhat misleading, since he’s just killing ‘bad’ protagonists. Other than that, hope more side characters are introduced soon

Holy shit, it's so messy. And before you try to understand the MC that is being narrated and then 1st POV over and over again, you then realize that it is a novel where its author wrote a line every 5 minutes or so. And no, not figuratively, literally.

Of course, the reality is that other swordsmen have kept their mouths shut ever since Salvatore became SS-Rank.

In any case, it proved that his method was better than anyone else.

However, that’s only possible because it’s her father.

She was quite prideful, but she didn’t want to accept this obvious fight, so she was going to refuse.

“Celeste.”

“Hm?”

Yoo Seodam had come down from the Costantini’s section and approached her.

“Go ahead and spar. It’ll be a good learning experience.”

After hesitating for a moment, Celeste nodded.

Ever since she started learning swordsmanship from Yoo Seodam, she has been attentive to his words.

Smiling at Aren, Seodam spoke.

‘Well, since she’s my student, I’d like to give her some pointers during the spar. That won’t be a problem, right?”

“... Do as you please.”

Aren hardened his expression as soon as he saw Seodam, but it was none of Celeste’s concern.

Seodam beckoned Celeste over, then whispered something in her ear.

Soon, she tilted her head after hearing his instructions.

“Is that really possible... ?”

“Mhm. Just trust me and hit.”

Seodam’s instructions were so simple that it was rather doubtful.

Just hit when you hear ‘hit!, ’ dodge when you hear ‘dodge!, ’ and block when you hear ‘block!’

The opponent is S-Rank.

There’s no way it’s going to be that simple, will it?

However, Celeste still nodded.

“I’ll try.”

“Also, give up after an adequate time.”

“I’m thinking so.”

Celeste pulled out her sword and stood before Aren.

Imagine a novel going like that for about the entire time, and its only about 1.5k to 1.9k words for each chapter; and every few sentences, there is a complete change to the structure of the writing. Furthermore, there is no explanation at all, is as if you're supposed to read something you already know.

Only good is that the novel didn't fall to things that are plain korean-like; like the immense and extreme idolization of fame and the need to be extremely good and neutral perfectly well (all the time, because it does start to happen).

Power levels... not planned at all, messy, messy, messy and only messy.

In short, is a headache to read. <<less

Enjoyed this novel for the most part, but during the last stretch leading up to the ending, I was really just forcing myself to finish the novel as things became fairly stale with the MC's prolonged travels to other worlds. Moreover...

Can't say I'm a fan of this open ending and honestly feel a bit unfulfilled and let down. Novel was fairly enjoyable, but really wish we could've seen more of what happened afterward. The MC went through so much effort to save Reina, and they don't even really meet... Then there's his relationships with the other women which I honestly believe the author was better off not building up so much when nothing came of them in the end. My disappointment is immeasurable.

It was an interesting read at the beginning, travelling from world to world and defeating protagonists then acquiring a skill from them. Until around the chapter I am on where the perspective keeps changing on who he's talking to with zero indication. 1 minute he is talking to a person then all of a sudden it transitioned to a different character with no warning and I didn't realize until their name was mentioned. Not sure if the translation got worse or the authors writing got worse to make that happen... more>> but it just broke my immersion and I decided to give it instead of forcing myself to read this.

Now that the mumin or w/e people have been introduced the novel has slowly started making less and less sense. The author thinks they can bring in new plotlines and ideas with no explanation and people would understand. No one understands. It had a good run at the beginning but you can tell the author lost track of what they were writing and just going with the flow, a very zig zaggy flow. <<less

It was alright

Idk if it will improve in the future but so far, the novel feels like the average Korean WN. It got all the good stuff like weak MC growing stronger using system/help from an unknown source. He gets underestimated but grows stronger and dominate etc. The modern world turns into a game like Dungeon raid with people using superpower to kill monsters and harvest them as resources. Basically long story short it is a discounted Solo Leveling but less emotional and epic (not saying Solo Leveling is anything... more>> original, it just manages to do it really well while this novel is just mediocre). There's some interesting spin like traveling to another dimension and doing quest similar to Dimensional Mercenary and MC grow stronger and get loot/skill from that instead of hunting monster but not enough to carry this novel.

Putting lack of originality aside, the characters are pretty flat, with only a few are fleshed out and most of the villains are boring as f*ck. The MC is also kinda boring, he is not s*upid good and naive like average JP MC but also not overbearing like CN, well his alignment isn't the problem, tbh I prefer his kind as I'm tired of the extreme one, it just the way the author tells his story and his character is very flat. Yea he got a very interesting background that got teased once in a while but other than that it is very difficult for the reader to relate with the MC nor feel any emotion on top of the fact that there is just very little interaction between characters so far. So most of the time you just watch the MC do his thing, beat quest using clever tactic and strategy (which is kinda fun), grow stronger, some stuff happens but it's no biggie and rinse and repeat. Yea there are interesting moments here and there but it just can't compete with its predecessor like The Novel Extra, Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint or Solo Leveling etc etc

Highly recommend you read them instead if you haven't already, this is not the worst novel you could read to waste time but if you expect anything more then go find something else <<less

it's not a masterpiece by any means, but its ok. The MC doesn't go from F to S in an instant and he tends to be a bit more on the cautious side at first. I really enjoyed the first part of the story. The MC is fairly low key, thanks to his rank, and he's used to being underestimated and dismissed in favor of stronger people. He starts out with the experience and mindset of an old hand, having been in the same field for fifteen years. He's steady... more>> and past the age where he cares about what other people think. Unlike other mosterpoclypse-centric Knovels the MC doesn't regress or go back in time, but gets a second chance at life at his real age and in the current time frame.

sadly, the author abruptly changes his personality at around c50 (rift dive time frame) and he goes from thoughtful and low key to the stereotypical impulsive, arrogant, greedy and ambitious prick MC. Along with the sudden personality change he creates a new guild out of nowhere and begins obsessing on starting a training hall to teach his skills to others, despite the fact that he's not qualified to teach either magic or swordsmanship having barely learned some of the basics himself.

I'd say the first 45 or so chapters were a 4 and the rest is a 3 at best. Honestly, after that abrupt personality change I kinda want to give it a 2. <<less

So far its really interesting. It reminds me so much of Kidnapped Dragons that I thought it was the same author. Somehow the world has the same feel and even the protagonist seems a bit similar. I don't know if the story crashes and burns later, but I'm surprised this has a below 4.0 rating here.

The story itself is pretty unique. The MC is tasked with killing protagonists that pop up in different worlds, because they use up the world's 'blessings' and lead it to destruction. In exchange for absorbing... more>> a fraction of their power and gaining lifespan (the MC is initially just days away from dying due to illness), he has to figure out how to kill these protagonists who are often protected by the world's blessings. These shorter stories happen between his life in the original world.

I haven't read a story I enjoyed so much in a while, and it is refreshing to read something that doesn't follow the generic formula for fantasy stories. <<less

I would say this is not the best novel, but it's still worthwhile to read if you've nothing else to read like me.. I just don't like how even until the end he still doesn't respond to the other girls feeling, but he's with the best girl now so it's kinda acceptable. The harem tag is misleading bc he doesn't end up with any girls, he sleeps with one of them but that's it. Their relationships are not even clear and I pity Taylor she deserves more, she have waited... more>> for 15 years already at the start of the novel and now she has to wait again for so many years for the MC who's still unclear if he can come back to his world. She got friend zoned her whole life smh.

As for the MC, I think he was designed to be a typical korean MC bc that's the whole point of this novel. I can see how this is heavily inspired by Omnicient Reader since even the end is similar and there's even a world he visited that's referencing to ORV. This has many unique ideas in it, unfortunately, it seems the author is lacking the skills to make it really work. Btw it's still fun to see how the author is satirizing so many novel cliches and throwing some diss while at it.

Unfortunately, this one also has the classic korean rushed ending. I mean it's not that rushed but there's so many string lying around. It's a very open ending which I don't really like. <<less

At first, I'm quite annoyed thanks to the quite deranged writing style and machine-like translation. The author keeps changing from first-person and third-person point of view it's so confusing! And as if it wasn't enough, the author doesn't know how to timing the transition of the story, for example; The MC is currently shopping in some weapon market in his world but suddenly the MC was going in another world doing a mission.

It was so abrupt it feels like some parts of the novel is missing. Thanks to it I... more>> had a hard time to build an imaginative world in my head. It's hard to enjoy it when it's so chaotic.

But later on the translation seems to improved when Nocturne Translations take over. The writing style also become more acceptable, although the writing style is still the same the translation from NT makes the whole reading experience better. Actions isn't that great but it doesn't really matter much since the Plot it's just f*cking great. You can tell the author really knows what he's writing and doesn't mess around the story, he also know how to make readers stay. It feels like author made plans when the story is written. At least I could say I didn't get bored.

The only thing I don't quite like is there's a lot of Murim elements. Many words from murim is so f*cking confusing it's a mix words from Chinese and Korean language, the author doesn't bother on giving the meaning of those words so it's a real pissed off.

-

On the other hand on the western style arcs is quite good, the MC is also likable, not evil but not a goody-two-shoes b*tch, he had flaws and he also gets some personal crisis, he's very human thanks to some touch of realism on his personality and his very existence. The MC is clever and cunning but not unnecessary smartass where ideas keep popping up on his mind out of nowhere, the ideas he had was always reasonable and had explanation of how he thought of those ideas. He's also not the type of character where just because he put some hardwork everything will suddenly work out like some super plot armored protagonist in some novels— there are things he's bad at and things he's good at, but when it comes something he's good at, he's actually quite a menace! There are few badass moments from it too. He's not a social type person but he knows how to talk and knows how to throw a words that pack a punch against his enemies, I feel so good whenever he destroy his enemies with few words and pissed them real good. The MC is quite a savage. Lol

The downside on the MC is that sometimes the he is just so damn weak, he got so many Super High Level skills but for some reason the MC is still weak even after around 220+ chapters. I felt like the "Overpowered" tag doesn't fit this novel. MC is just way too weak compared to people around him which is really disappointing. MC was always being overshadowed by those around him. He had High rank talent but someone with lower rank talent that him still surpass him which is quite s*upid and doesn't make any sense. The author is intentionally nerfing the MC and it's quite annoying. Overall he's not too bad he can also be sad, happy or angry, he can be very cold and warm. He also get stressed with some problems he needs to solve here and there. It's not a plain story that goes on straight line where he grows from weak becoming strong his story is more like a zigzag. There are lots of ups and down. As for the side characters, they are also written very well. Some of them will show some unique traits which will make you giggle on how cute they are.

And although not much in the story some arc had some gold comedy I ended up wheezing. Action, Romance, Drama, Comedy, Horror, this novel really had so many treats for readers. At first I gave this 2 star at early chapters but it's definitely worth reading when you get into it. Just endure the bit of confusion from the early chapters. The last 10 chapters is frustrating to read but the ending is quite good. Overall score 4/5 I recommended this to readers who already read many books. <<less

The first few arcs are awesome, he uses his experience and intelligence to win against stronger enemies, but in the end, the story becomes cliché. The main character stops using his brain and enemies are supposed to be protagonists who are extremely lucky but the main character still wins out of pure luck.
Spoiler

He doesn't want to be in a relationship/dense but the author still keeps pumping side characters who are in love with him. Probably he is going to build his harem near the end of this novel.

I gave it 3 stars just because of the first few arcs if they weren't there I'd give it 1 or 2 stars because the story is just cliché.

The plot is extremely unique and interesting. Basically, the MC can travel to different dimensions in order to kill the protagonists of that world because they're consuming too much 'probabilty' which will lead to the destruction of their world. In return, the MC is randomly gifted some of their skills.

Personally, I feel like the story started going downhill at like chapter 100, after the Supreme Dharma arc and it's mainly due to the 'harem' tag. Maybe it's because the harem is catered towards the male audience and not for me... more>> but love interests just keep popping up every single second. Something about the constantly growing harem is just so ironic considering the fact the MC is not supposed to have the benefits that 'protagonists' have. Also one of the main things about the Supreme Dharma was his passive 'Charm' skill so yeah...

Spoiler

I didn't really mind when it was only Taylor Nine, Yekaterina and I guess Seol Jungyeon but I guess that wasn't enough for the author. When that Aracelli girl started following him through the dimensions is when it got too much for me.

it's good. Mc's power is unique, The settings, such as dimensions, dungeons and power levels is explained properly. There's just one thing I really don't like, the harem. I'm okay with harems as long as it's not cringy and this novel has actually good harem but that's it. There are only Female side characters in this story and all of them are affectionate and inlove with the MC. It's like the author is trying really hard to avoid having male side characters that isn't an NPC. I have nothing against... more>> female side characters but for a novel who keeps talking about destroying protagonist, it's cliché plots and harems, why is the novel starting to become a generic korean wishfullfiment? It's a great novel. Protagonist starts of as an experienced hunter who is very knowledgeable due to the fact of how weak he is.

What stood out in this novel is not MC's strength but his experience and knowledge. This allow him become the best hunter despite being weak.

But even this weakness is gradually being solved as the MC raise his limit from hunting protagonist while absorbing their skills and talents. The skills and talents aren't over the top and achievable by top hunters on Earth.

Though once again, what being highlighted is not his power but his cunning schemes to hunt down his targets who are always stronger than him.

What interesting is while MC hunts protagonist, he needs to take care so that he himself doesn't become protagonist.

From what I have read so far the point of view and who is talking is iffy at times but other than the it is the least plot armored main character I've ever seen at most a tiny tweak here and there. But to summarize for those looking to see if its worth a read a calm 15 year veteran hunter when average lifespan or career as a hunter is 5 years in a very recently superpower gained world the MC is absolutely ordinary other than a really good intuition... more>> and a pretty decent talent with a gun which unfortunately doesn't work the best on monsters and costs a ton is dying from unknown thing in or around his heart and a female voice gives him a chance to live by expending his life through a give and take system he kills a protagonist and he gains rewards in turn very interesting and kind of ironic story. <<less

TLDR: Novel feels like a rushed first draft, solid plot and a complete product, but needs many fixes. If you liked "The Novel's Extra" or "Worth the Candle, " but can tolerate lower quality, you will like this.

Power System: 4/5

Similar to the two novels I mentioned, this is a setting where power ultimately doesn't matter, it's more about how you develop unique skills using knowledge of various different magic systems. The protagonist hunting is executed fairly well, and each world we travel to has unique characteristics for the MC to... more>> play around.

Plot: 3/5

There is definitely an overarching plot, so don't be worried about the novel devolving into endless grinding. Also. There is an ending which ties things up (although not enough attention was given to many characters), the author was really cheeky about leaving novels unfinished.
Spoiler

Funnily enough, some of the protagonists don't need to be killed because their story goes on hiatus or abruptly ends.

[collapse]

The background and MC's past, which is tied to the main plot, is barely explored. I think the author forgot that it's supposed to be an important mystery and then hastily revealed everything. Everything does come full circle in the end, but it's a forced execution and needs to be more fleshed out.

Romance / Side Characters: 3/5

The romantic subplots and side characters are garbage. They have good setup because the author has a high knowledge of good romantic cliches, but he never puts in any effort beyond the setup. Some of the heroines have absolutely nothing beyond some minimal introduction, but the author is still expecting me to root for them. This novel suffers from an extreme lack of length and depth.

I also do not like the juvenile way the author treats women. Everywhere the mob characters are commenting about how beautiful the heroines are, and "grape" being used as a cheap plot point to provoke the reader. "Hand over all your belongings and that woman with you!", "I just met this woman, I must have her, " young master gets pissed because the heroines chooses the MC instead of him, etc, etc. It's just exhausting and pisses you off because you know how it will end anyways.

Overall: 4/5

This should really be 3/5 but I like the novel's potential. It is in desperate need of a full rewrite to tie up the loose plot holes, the ditched heroines who were never mentioned past chapter 180, and so on. <<less

I really liked the premise and the first half, it was enjoyable and interesting. But I think after a certain point, it started going quite downhill as others have mentioned, I feel like I pretended to not see anything and continued reading, but 'it' continued to stack, until I couldn't ignore it anymore and I suddenly felt "this is uninteresting".

I believe the trigger was the relationship with women, MC's behaviour is overly frustrating but so is the fact that in such relatively short span of time so many girls throw... more>> themselves at him and although I don't really mind harem, I felt like it wasn't properly 'developed' here. Hell, each world seems like he raise a potential harem member that doesn't turn so solely due to... 'distance' problems.

All in all, I feel quite disappointed if I have to say something. I really enjoyed it, but at some point I started not feeling it anymore and the relationship with the women was just the trigger to make me realize how I grew to dislike the development. <<less
