This story was fluffy and cute. For those who have not read it, it is worth a try if you are looking for something not too dark and not too boring at the same time.

I adored the MC. He was less than perfect, but that teenage angst, lack of ability to show his affections and the course language all made him so much more human and relatable than most main perfect main characters. Somehow, even though he was up from the wealthy district I felt that his honest character fit... more>> right in with the attitude and vibes of the border town. I loved watching him gradually grow up over the months with the accompaniment of the ML.
Spoiler

There is a change of character over time that is not very noticeable but it is there and fits right into the flow of the story. I loved watching him go from a hopeless grumpy boy to someone who can show affection and support to others, as well as him learning to reflect on what he says to people and work together in a team.

[collapse]

However, as most novels I have read, I could not quite get a grasp of the ML. His story stays elusive, and there is on explanation or peek into details about the changes he went through. The only thing we can see is that he likes this stranger who decided to contact him while he was studying philosophy masters overseas (my brain just cannot comprehend his choices, but he is the ML so that shall be forgotten). A lot of details about the ML is very vague and it is his side of the story that gets very confusing, and kind of disinterests me. I just skimmed through all the business talk cause it was not easy to understand either. Basically you can consider this ML as the life saving side character aka romantic connection in a gaming focused novel.

If there was one thing that really bothered me, it was the translation. It even got the mother and father of the ML mixed up at some point, like one day it was a disapproving mother, but another it was the father that is actually disapproving of ML's life choices. I might also have been better understanding of the ML's side of the story, which is barely there, if the translation had been better.

Moving on to side characters, this is where it gets interesting. I feel like the author was really able to build a story that was more complete with more 3D side characters, not all of them but some of them, instead of choosing to just focus on the main couple's story line.
Spoiler

Firstly, I wish ML's dad had more screen time. The one time he actually makes an appearance, he really made me feel like he cared a lot about his son despite their cold relationship. I would have liked to gotten to know him more. The 2 sets of parents really had me feeling complicated. The Shen family were greedy. That was very obvious. They went after whichever child that benefited them more. The perfect example of why some people should not have children. As for the Ji Family, their love for the son they raised, the awkwardness their approached the MC with, and the appearance of the new family member kind of screwed things up. It could have worked out, had they not been so prejudiced against him and the aunt did not exist. They were not evil people, they just are those people in the dark grey area who ended up doing evil things even though they did not mean to, and that is how I especially feel with Ji Mama. Ji Mama did show care towards him but like life decided to mess with everything and she kind of forgot about him. They too have their own form of greed, but they were able to acknowledge their wrongs, and even if MC did not accept it they apologized. It kind of reminds how most of us happen to be good people who do evil to some in our lives in some way putting ourselves in the grey area of good and bad. The whole situation with the Ji family and the greedy aunt was pretty realistic, unlike how the Shen's just abandoned him for being a rebellious teenager cause he wanted some attention. Finally Ji Shu, the picture perfect child, showed us how greed can ruin your life, and change people.

[collapse]

The whole story had an underlying concept of 'life will throw you some curveballs and send you spinning on a rollercoaster, but your choices through all the ups and downs will determine who you become'. I do have to say the MC did have a stroke of luck meeting the rich ML.

This story is not the best but it does have its good points, and it was lighter and fluffier than I expected, and it made me feel happy so I give it a 4/5. A reread value of 2/5. <<less

I think I would recommend MTL, at least if you MTL, you can break up sentences and look them up, which the translator failed to do. I would call the translation 60% accuracy, almost raw MTL with barely any edits. Around halfway mark (chapter 80) story got marginally better, but be prepared for switched pronouns.

In terms of the story itself, it's quite a charming and beautifully written story. The elegance of the philosophy and the fact that the author tried to bring in cultures and ideas from other places could... more>> have been very successful had the translation been better.

The story probably deserves a 4, but unfortunately, most of it is close to unreadable.

The layered meanings and depth in the story cannot be comprehended in this translation. You will barely get a skeleton of a story. Most of the dialogue / actions are incorrect. It's possible to understand what is going on if you use common sense and question every translated word... but again, at that point, might as well do the MTL yourself.

I appreciated that the villains weren't villainous in very obvious ways, the things that they did (lying, looking down on others) were more like micro-aggressions. You won't get stuff like "villain sets someone up to be assaulted" or "villain gives drugs" etc. like in other stories.

I quite enjoyed the characterizations of everyone in the story, villains and otherwise. And actually this is one of the rare stories where you get to see the pretentiousness of worshipping wealth the way most other novels do it.

Spoiler

In most CN novels, there is a sense of wealth worship where wealthy characters are portrayed by the author as being more beautiful/smart/outstanding than people in lower socio-economic statuses, especially in "accidental children switch" stories where usually the "fake child" is dumb/spoiled/greedy/criminalized. In this story, neither child is especially bad, rather it calls into question the family raising the child.

I would say it was obvious that the Shen family is terrible at raising children because they screwed up a good one (the "real child" they got back got on the wrong path due to the way his family treated him). The envy and negativity in his heart were literally instigated by the constant words of the Shen family.

[collapse]

That said, translator does care about the story and tried to translate it, however the result is less than ideal. <<less

This was like eating pineapple that has not had the seeds removed. One can quickly reach some sweetness, and just as quickly discover that the mouth aches with pain. But it is precisely this sweetness that inevitably lures you in for another bite.

The MC and ML experience their share of individual struggles and difficulties. When the two grow to depend on one another, and later learning to find love in one another, the development and pacing felt appropriate. Their relationship can be described as such: between the two of them,... more>> it feels as though there cannot be any major conflict; they are harmonious, reliant on one another, exuding a specific tolerance and level of patience that can only be applied to each other.

There is a fair amount of face-slapping, some dog-blood moments, live-streaming text barrages, and in-depth gaming related text (which I later began skimming). The first two elements are almost to be expected with the summary, and the latter two are incredibly prominent throughout. There is a heavy emphasis on gaming and E-sports (I believe they're playing PUBG), and there is a lot of 'chat barrages' within the text. While it can be perceived as distracting and repetitive, it can be easily skimmed over and not hinder the general understanding of events. For anyone else who doesn't have a lot of gaming knowledge, or doesn't really care to read too closely about the gaming: don't worry. It isn't completely necessary to absorb in order to enjoy this webnovel, but do know that the novel revolves around this (live-streaming gaming and E-sports), and the relationship between the MC and ML.

Additional thoughts:

    • The side characters felt as though they did not have an explored character development. They are not completely flat side characters either. The following spoiler is about side character POV chapters.
      Spoiler

There weren't really any in depth chapters from a side character's POV. They were relatively short, and weren't character arc spanning multiple chapters. The main focus throughout the entire novel was on the MC and ML, and not so much on the side characters.

      [collapse]
    • Perhaps the tag: "tragic past" is missing.
    • Opinion on the extras, especially if you have finished, and decide to skip the extras
      Spoiler

If you find that the marriage and honeymoon portions to be a bit drawn out, or you are reaching the ending but cannot find it in
you to continue on: I HIGHLY recommend reading the very LAST extra (Chapter 166/167) . While it is not necessary to read the other extras, or if you stopped around the championship Chapter 167 will wrap up the entire reading experience very nicely. It has a VERY different theme from the marriage and honeymoon extras. Please, do not skip this extra. Even if you do not end up reading the championship arc, I really do believe that the last extra is an experience that you would not want to skip.

      [collapse]
    • I think if you go in expecting an empty fluff, with a sweet relationship, you will be pleasantly surprised. However, if you're expecting something with deep character growth, side characters with depth, or something on the medium to heavier side, you might find yourself disappointed.

Honestly, my feelings for this story are complicated...

On the one hand, this story has a very good plot... But on the other hand, sometimes I feel that the author justifies all of MC actions.

Spoiler

I mean, the behavior of MC adoptive parents in the city is very bad and it was something that can't be denied anymore... But, the fact that MC always fights at school, dyes his hair, and skips class just to play games can't be justified whatever the reason.

Like, it's great if you find your passion was in games (PUBG), but that doesn't mean you can drop out of school right away.

[collapse]

Spoiler

As for the MC real parents in the suburbs, apart from her aunt, I can understand their actions especially her mother... It's just that everything was wrong from the start, both of her parents used to have the typical perfect child, then suddenly they were replaced with a child that have bad attitude so no wonder they're a little biased... But anyway all their actions still make sense (again this doesn't include her aunt).

However because MC already has a psychological problem from the start, extra action and attention is needed... and this is something that MC doesn't get from them, which make impression that both of them are a bad character's in this story.

[collapse]

Spoiler

As for the kid who was switched with the MC, I feel sorry for him... He was originally a good person, but because of what his real parents teaching (Which once again proves that the Shen family is tr*sh) he turned into a 100% different person.

[collapse]

Besides that this story has a slowburn romance, so this story is not recommended for people who don't have patience in reading stories with a slow plot.

Last, I don't know if this is because the author or translator, but I feel that sometimes this story uses sentences that are a bit ambiguous so it's a bit difficult to understand when u reading it.

Spoiler

Btw, it's really creepy if we remember the things that will happend if there no butterfly effect.

In the first life Shen Chi died slowly during sickness, Shi Liang was died during surgery (He was getting lied by something like blackmarket and they take all of her organs... and if im not wrong her brother Shi Ran become a killer for revenge), Zhuang Zhou become serial killers (He literally become crazy/psycopath), Yan Shen go to jail for killing her father, Xiao Zui was forced became prostit**es and died (this is the reason why Zhuang Zhou become serial killers)... and this not all, this list is only for MC side.

Amazing! Absolutely Amazing!!

One of the most wholesome BL novels I have ever read!!

It not only portrays great charcter development, but also touches upon darker sides of reality. The author maintained the perfect balance of fluffy and angst moments throughout.

Great read! Recommended 💯!!!

Having read the whole thing I think I can confidently say some of the reviews are too harsh. The novel isn’t that fluffy and soft compared to what the synopsis implies. Actually, I cried a lot during it. But yet I think it’s still very good.

I actually rate this a 4.5 but round up and it’s a 5. The translation is a little bad. Actually I thought it was just a pretty good mtl until I saw some of the t/n’s scattered throughout. But it’s still legible!

To the people complaining... more>> about the ‘barrage’... this can still be counted as half an e-sports novel. It makes sense why there is a lot of comments from viewers etc.

The relationship between the two happens relatively quickly but it’s not like a very passionate relationship from the get go. More like a ‘I accompany him and he accompanies me’ kind of relationship. I really like the ML and mc’s relationship and how they grow to depend on each other through trials and tribulations.

The authors chosen plot points that depict the mc’s poverty is really heart breaking and where I cried the most.

Spoiler

More sad because you get the sense of how alone the MC is and the despair he feels. If the author decided to go deeper I have no doubt it could’ve illustrated the difficulties of overcoming socioeconomic status pretty ok.

[collapse]

But mainly I like this novel so much (it kinda start declining at the end but it’s still ok to read) because of the very last extra.

Spoiler

Chapter 170. Really heartbreaking and the one of saddest chapters. Very bittersweet. It discusses an alternate ending of the mc’s life without the ML and is possibly the very ‘first’ life (as there are very slight allusions to a rebirth of another side character.)

[collapse]

I would still recommend people to give this a read solely because of how much I liked chapter 170 and how emotionally heartbreaking this story is. I do understand that it declines a bit around ch 100 though. <<less

The title is a bit misleading. MC become popular because his talent, hard work and the support from ML. There’s angst at first. His life is struggle so much but fortunately he met ML. They are growing together in each of their own way.

I change my rating to a 4.5 (since according to the rules, the translation shouldn't be regarded when rating). It could've been a 5 if there were less details about the games (but if you're into it, it would be a 5).

Translation is bad but readable. If you can tolerate a bad translation, I still recommend this story. I really, really wish there was a better translation, but I'm thankful enough that there is one.

Story is good. I didn't expect to cry, but I did at some parts (last 2... more>> chapters are about what would've happened if they didn't meet, so also a tear jerker). I also admit, I skipped some parts, mainly some of the battles, though I did browse through in case there were important character building parts.

MC and ML are a good pair; a good balance. They complement each other. Slow burn romance but it's understandable since the MC was only 17 at the start of the story.

I just want to point out, he is not a bad son (to either parents). He was a MINOR who was abandoned, it's understandable that he would hold a grudge against them. He wasn't even vindictive!!! Thankfully, the ML took care of that ;)

Spoiler

Imagine yourself in his shoes, a 17-year old suddenly told that he wasn't his parent's son. Left in a terminal, abandoned. Literally from riches to rags. Even his biological parents gave up on him eventually. Didn't even think what he was going through. They know the struggles of living in that town, but they didn't even think to check up on him? How do people expect to see affection/love from him, when he hasn't experienced it from either of his parents... I love his Grandma! Probably the only one who has shown him affection when he was younger. If she didn't, I can't imagine how horrible his personality would've turned out.

The story was good..... sweet, cute, fluffy and Typical e-sport tropes.

The title is..... um.... bit misleading for me.... but at the same time is actually not. I thought this was the typical online dating story (which I love to read) but this is not. ... more>>
Spoiler

online dating.... my foot. MC and ML are not gonna date officially until like 100+ chapter. They just gonna tease and poke you with sweet cute couple moments and romantic tension in the name of Slow romance. plus MC end up being popular quite early....... not because he's dating a big shot but because of his game play.

But the title is kind of right also because ML was MC virtual G.F he bought (MC thought he was) and it can be assume that they were dating online?? Though they weren't. But it was because of our big shot ML that MC was able to be popular. Like ML encouragement lead to MC going for anchoring and also his new quality computer was given by ML actually. Not to mention other things that MC did after getting ML opinion.

[collapse]

The stoy I good but the translation is bit problem. Some parts were confusing AF (still, I would like to thank translator for their hardwork). Actually I am not sure if it's the translation that is confusing or the author's writing.

Another is the romance. Ah f*ck the slow romance. I though I had patients for slow romance (i have read lots of slow romance story) but I am not sure anymore. The romance is actually quite sweet but honestly I felt it dragging in here. The author kept teasing and poking us with sweetness but not letting MC and ML be official pair until late. I almost gave up and dropped this novel but thankfully when I was almost out of patient author finally let them confirm each other feeling. f*cking Finally!!! Aftet long 100+ chapter long
Spoiler

Ok, When MC and ML reunited I though their romance and relationship woukd finally progress but NO. They stayed the same as they were before. Lovely couple pair but not officially a couple. ML knew MC liked him right!! RIGHT?? He said he knew when MC confessed him...... so then why?? Why the f*ck he didn't progress their relationship. MC clearly gave lots of hint to him even kind of seduce him to test but this guy........ this MF ML pretending to be saint, not having any that feeling for MC.

[collapse]

Also their relationship....... I am actually not really a fan of family/sibling relationship turn into lover kind of things, but I do enjoy some (with guilty pleasure), especially the one that are written very well, but Here I felt bit uncomfortable (though I am well adapted by now). Although they weren't real siblings, ML treated MC like a child (he is 17 only)....... as HIS child, which sound very family but can also taken in romantic way
Spoiler

From the start I tried to see them as couple (because they will be) but the words and the sentences destroy my illusion build in my mind everytime. ML always introduce MC as HIS Child. And learning how to be a good parents....... I know it was just to raise MC but he can raise him as lover to why go for parents shit. Why author why? Author is portraying Family relationship between MC and ML but at the same time proving us the romantic fusion. Plus the long dragging of their relationship to be official.... ugghhh

[collapse]

Plus added with the word "Brother" it felt more uncomfortable. "GeGe" would have sounded nice and better than Brother.

There's also Yaoi censorship in metaphors....... I am not really good with metaphors and it was really confusing to understand it in here. I had to read the para 2 or 3 time to get TF actually happening.
Spoiler

The milk in here is not the milk our MC usually drink and I had to read it again to get it.

There is also Sea and waves and Blade and f*cking Moon and all. Overall I kind of got the gest of them doing s*x and that all

[collapse]

I like MC and I do feel sad for him, for what he went through and everyone saying how he's a good kid and parents are fault...... I won't deny parents are indeed at fault but as for MC, I can't say he was a good child to his biological parents.
Spoiler

I am NOT saying his biological parents were good and they were not at fault but look it from parents perspective, His biological parents tried atleast. They tried to be close to him but MC behavior/nature lead to the misunderstanding.

The 1st day MC directly went to internet cafe, didn't met his parents and return late at night and doesn't even talk with them.... How can the parents not misunderstand?? Obviously they felt MC might not like them and hated the poor conditions and want to go back.

Also MC just shut the room, not talking to them properly. Not solving misunderstanding. He's ready to communicate with a stranger (ml) but not his parents......

And for the thing that the father did...... going through his suitcase. It was wrong, very wrong but they though MC had money and they were desperate. They tried to take money for their father treatment not for themselves and they did that after they had no other ways left......... again not supporting them for what they did, they did wrong but I can understand them. Plus with MC attitude towards them and the new model computer and all, how can they not sus that MC had money and is just unwilling to give them. Also MC never told them how he got the computer, and didn't even tried to explain when his aunt talk about it.

Ultimately the anemia situation....... His parents were irresponsible but this is the result of MC actions leading to misunderstanding and negligent. Plus the parents weren't aware of it.

Overall, for me MC biological parents aren't that bad as people are declaring. They tried to open up with MC...... they even bought him expensive clothes (not actually expensive but expensive for them). They did tried to be best with MC but the situation lead to misunderstanding and their relationship worsen.

I am saying this because I am hating that people (inside the novel also) think they are bad parents....... especially feel bad for biological mother. She was good. Such an understanding parents. Better than mine.... Still, I love my mom very much even though she beat me and sometime neglect me.

[collapse]

Aside from the all above things, it was a good entertaining E-sports novel. With lots of game element and competition. [I have played PUGB before so it was really entertaining]

I really enjoyed the later half of the chapters. And especially like the last 2 extra chapter as the ending. very tear jerking tragedy story but I like how it was added as ending to the story, hitting us with cruel reality sh*t of 'IF' and making is appreciate the Character love for each other and their meeting even more.
Spoiler

It was so damn emotional and tragedy but it would have been the reality if the lin guy didn't acted as buterfly effect, not adding ML on we chat and letting MC and ML meet early and everyone having a HE.

Thanks to the translator for translating this novel ❤️. <<less

Headsup: The "translation" isn't really up to par so if you are a grammar nazi, just skip. Translator is pretty nice tho and chapters are all done so if you don't care much about wonky grammar and mistranslations it's a good novel to read. It has good plot (+lots of PUBG) and lovable MC.

Yes, it's a "gaming novel where MC dated online but didn't know that other was not really a girl"-plot but it's pretty cute anyway. I personally like the mc's character, such a cute wolf cub. I felt... more>> pity that nobody wanted him. But it's good that he happened to know ML and got what he deserved; a pampering. But it became more than that! Middle arc! faceslapping escalated like shiet when the ML blackened and MC is his only anchor connecting him to light. He is gentle only to MC. And I'm loving it more.

TBH I am a little dissatisfied in that cannon fodder transmigrator...
Spoiler

that Lin guy. I can't believe he stay as a bystander/melon eater till the freaking end! He is literally didn't do anything other than letting readers see the perspective of someone who previously known the more evil ML and the tragic former life. At the last chapters of fanwai, I felt that ML might have reincarnated too but with no memory? I'm torn to wishing ML to have memory of the transmigration or is it better to redo everything in a clean slate like what happened in the novel? But yeah Lin guy is just that useless.

[collapse]

The fanwai is explosive. All readers were wondering what really happened if ML did not approve the friend request the first time MC added him. And boy, it is such a heartache. Just one simple action literally snowballed into a chain of tragedies that affected the couple and the people around them. IMO it made me want to look back at all the sweetness that happened throughout the story. ML's regret in the end is so bittersweet I'm glad they got the happiness they deserved. <<less

I love this novel. Unexpected meeting lead to HE.

Both have their own misery life. After they met, they stay with each other and communicate. I also like how it was also told what MC's life is if he didn't met ML.

It's not fluffy but the romance is sweet. The translation is bearable. I'll read this again if I don't have anything to read.

The translation is also pretty not good. It's hard to read sometimes, the words get mixed up, and the grammar is pretty rough. Like a little more than halfway through the novel the translator gets an editor so the words do get a bit smoother but the technical side of things especially for a game like PUBG stays rough. Hand thunder is used instead of grenades and other stuff like placements within the tournament get weird sometimes.

However, storyline I can say that no character really gets forgotten in this novel. They get touched up on later in the novel sometimes 20 chapters later or even longer. That being said when they do get mentioned it might just be a slight mention. (Though imo some of the side characters have a romance going on but you have to squint to see it HAHA).

I also forgot to mention this (or I probably forgot completely) but there is a 7 year age gap between them so if thats your ick I think you shouldn't read it because they do meet when the MC is still underage. I think the only big gripe I have with this novel is the translation because I think I would have cried more if I didn't have to use more than two braincells to read it HAHAHA

Also, I do agree with another reviewer that the lack of transitions (aka suddenly popping up somewhere else) is a bit sudden especially after they "do it" but again with how flowery the language is when they "do it" I don't mind it that much. And like with other livestreaming novels there is also the "barrage" aka the chatters who constantly come up, but again I don't mind it that much because, well, he's a livestreamer. Anyways, I'm keeping my rating and be prepared for the last chapter because spoiler

TBF I only reread this because of the last chapter. Anyways have a nice time reading!

[Old 2022 Review]

I love reading fluff when I feel like it, so I went into this only knowing the summary. There is fluff but also, what I would think, a moderate amount of angst. There is no smut, well not really, because the author uses a lot of flowery language to hide it HAHA I almost couldn't tell what was happening. Anyways, there is no underage or non-consensual things in this book. Also when I put completed I mean the whole thing side stories and all. I only have one spoiler to give and it's very vague:

Spoiler

The last 2-3 chapters (165 (?) -167) is about the ORIGINAL timeline which you'll find out what's in it as you read the story!

[collapse]

Other than that this was a very enjoyable read sans a few grammatical mistakes!

Edit: I realized I forgot to mention that the author really cements the characters (the main ones) by also using the side characters. The names get a bit messy and confusing at times. This story also isn't a love at first sight thing, it's actually kinda well paced. So go through this book with an open mind and heart (like one reviewer said the last few chapters will affect how you perceive the book!) <<less

Short review here

Storyplot: 8/10

Character (MC & ML) : 7/10

... more>> Character (Side) : 9/10 (I honestly like the livestream comments barrage a lot haha)

Translation: 5/10 (Too MTL sometimes, need more refining but general gist is understood)

The last extra chp: 10/10 WOULD READ AGAIN

Overall though, the translation is the only thing that bugs me the most about this story. The story is fun and hopeful like a lantern in a gloomy night until daylight comes. It’s not perfect but a good read if you’re not super picky. The last chapter killed me, honestly became my fav chapter overall. Would come back to this story only to read the last chapter 10/10 <<less

I might have give this 4 star if the author lessened the barrage comments stuff like it had the potential but it's so hard to like it cos the audiences always repeat the same word, honestly It became so boring after the angsty arc like I was waiting for a good face slapping moment after all those tragedy but the author decided to focused more on the games and the netizens comments so it became 30% romance 10% face slapping and the rest are just tournaments, practicing game and more... more>> comments it ruined the whole book which is such a waste cos the early chapters are so good especially the angst part (before 90 chapter) and to make it worse the writing went downhill and scenes just keep jumping to the next like one moment they're on the car and the next they're on the bed rolling having s*x then the next moment again he's on the practice room? Its so confusing Idk if it's the translation but it's like reading mtl.... which might be the case also I rather had the author explore more into the characters emotions especially YXX and how those parents regretted and struggled afterwards sigh.... <<less

I didn’t enjoy this novel. It is not light, it is not fluffy, it is angst ridden and in my opinion the author liked to torture the MC, which is the only reason for the gentle, intelligent ML to “blacken” into an a**hole

The MC started out as a sympathetic character, but turned into an idiot who only spoke in single word sentences to outsiders and mostly had physical contact with ML (no discussions between the two of them)

The ML went from being caring doctor of philosophy to an evil... more>> criminal who

mu*dered people, watched his “enemies” commit su*cide, and tried to kill his own mother

The romance made no sense

The game elements were OK, the team wasn’t completely OP, they did lose and did learn. I wish there was more interaction between the teammates

In the end I did not like the ML or the MC, so I can’t recommend this novel <<less

just ended reading this novel. Last chapter made me cry.

I liked the both MC and ML. They were both dependent on each other which might border on being toxic but under the circumstances they were in, its totally understandable.

it has angst and also fluffy moments.

all in all a good read.

I enjoyed it alot! The dynamic is actually what I like most about the story, it's refreshing because they both have their own storylines/hardship.

It doesn't compromise focusing on one and neglecting the other. This is probably the first novel I've read that actually walks you through the process of 'ML throwing out the tr*sh and ruling the family all alone' -- it's quite enjoyable! The MC is also focusing on gaming, has a background and his own considerations to go through. They don't revolve around each other like how other... more>> novel C do -- I like that they both meet each other sincerely, and earnestly just want to offer help, love and support for each other to create a safe space between them together.

I think it's heart-warming, and I can see why they are who they are (bc of their circumstances/personality) which makes me enjoy their dynamic even more because it doesn't take away from that. Rather than erasing the dark/bad part of each other, it focuses on proving that they aren't omnipotent and theres at least someone out there that views them differently. It's really nice!

The translation is.... hard to read. But I like the translator's attitude -- very positive and seems sweet/open -- I'm cheering them on!! In terms of eligibility/actually understanding the novel though.... it's hard to say, but maybe if you've read more MTL you might have more practice with interpreting the passages.... it's an exercise in patience, but I think the novel is worth it... <<less

It's so beautiful?? Soft?? There's a bit of angst too. Both ML anc MC suffered a lot from their parents; MC seems to have an abandonment issue too (SPOILER AHEAD) ... more>>
Spoiler

due to his nonbiological parents. There is one chapter, somewhere 35 above where the nonbiological mother talked to a granny, seems to be MC's nanny before. The nanny explained how the nonbiological mother just left MC who kept on knocking on the doors while it was raining outside. The mother didn't even let him in. Fairly disappointed at the nonbiological parents and the biological parents. One does child neglect; the other ignorant and are fools.

At times. Yes. The biological mother did seems to care for MC but did she ever try to connect to him? Understand beyond what he do? They seem to think he had a great time just because he lived his life with money at disposal.

One time, the MC went with his bio mom and one man didn't pay them. MC beat up the man, got him to pay back behind the back of his mom but disappointed at what the parents reacted.
