most of the revenge is done by the ML and not the MC

Rong Siqi, a rising singer from the prominent Rong family. A true friend to the MC who mentored him during an advertis**ent after MC's rebirth. Kind of like a quiet younger brother to the MC.

One (a film emperor) trying to use him, another (a doctor) accidentally becoming an accessory to a crime the former commits, and the last one (owner of a security company) divorced and chasing after his ex-wife who is MC's manager (?).

MC's rise does not seem contrived given his 10 years of experience prior to his rebirth, as well as having a strong backer (ML). His financial success is not something he flaunts, and is not due to having a strong business acumen but rather simply knowledge of the future (and a tad bit of luck).

Su Quan: was in a mutual relationship with ML in the past but left ML partially out of greed. Tries to kill MC in order to get back with ML which ends up being a complete fail. Kang Jian: pushed MC to the end in his past life, and schemed against MC while also cheating on his wife in the second.

They deserved it. The MC is reasonable and simply did to them what they had done to him (mostly in the past life) : Throw him into debt? Now they're in debt. Bury his reputation in the dirt? Now their reputation is soiled. But he knows how to forgive and he never goes too far.

They value his useless older brother (Bai Li) over him and in the last life, even though the MC paid off the 5 million debt of his older brother PLUS any further debts he got himself into, they still completely cut ties and slandered him when he was revealed to be homosexual. The brother and mother are pure scum (although you could say the brother was raised to be self-serving), while the father's own character isn't elaborated on and plays a more passive role.

A woman gave birth to his child, Qiu QiaoHai, and ran away. Qiu QiaoHai is one of my favorite characters in this and is such an adorable kid. Scheming relatives (including his dad's second wife) try to pull him off the successor's seat (with little to no success). Ah Bai (Bai Lang, the MC) marries him in Country H.

The film empress, Fei Hong, due to her character development, and Zhu Kuan, a director who patiently mentored Bai Lang in his past life and who also noticed his potential.

Idk. Something like the ML feeling insecure because their relationship started with money. Or maybe if he feels guilty for the bad things he did like harrassing and toying with MC.

I think MC showed some internal struggles. It's just very subtle and not dwelled on.

But I really like their distrust for each other, especially at the beginning where it makes sense for them not to trust each other.

I like extra 5, when MC asked himself if the misery of his parents is really what he wanted. Obviously, his parents are toxic. I can't tolerate them irl. But, there's a lot of complexity in emotions. He chose to let go of the hate. He didn't give them everything. But just didn't wish them misery. Like.

Qiu Qian's designated revenge is a well deserved for Jian. I feel like Jian's attraction towards Bai is mixed with a sense of violation and harassment. I can relate with Qiu's disgust. Three super disgusting moments: when Jian finally sleeps with a man, when he's drunk and calls Bai's name, and when he's trying to force himself on Bai. Big EW!

As for our CP, my favorite scene is actually when Qiu is on therapy and Bai looked at Qiu and felt like it was his fault that Qiu got into an accident. Bai then had a nightmare and cried hard on Qiu's embrace and told Qiu about his past life. Idk, I just love when a character being emotional.
